1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be fool to keep it online, look my name on: May 24, 2023, 03:27:46 PM
Not your key, not your BTC
That's right, if we save on an exchange of our assets then it's not ours but there is a third party who handles it with this it will be vulnerable to our assets that might be held by their side, it's better to write in your seed phrase paper and pull it BTC from exchange store in the cold wallet will be safer.

When Binance exchange witnessed a huge amount of withdrawal, I was one of those people that believe that it's over for centralized exchanges, until a few month later where people start moving their funds back into Binance.
Centralized exchanges will never end because this is a place where many people trade any coin, including we send BTC to a centralized exchange only to be exchanged to fiat while doing P2P is still very difficult to do directly unless the centralized exchange is the largest container his.
Another one keeps assets longer so it's better to use cold wallet, if there is another need then you can send to exchange to convert to another one that becomes easy to exchange.

This shows that they just don't care, like whatever happens to FTX and those using the exchange have happened, it's like they are saying "it's not me but those using FTX that have a bad fate" what they failed to understand is it can happen to anyone. People really like learning the hard way.
They are too comfortable keeping assets on the exchange so they don't think about the risk of how the exchange collapses even though there have been many incidents in this regard, it's just that they don't care about it and it's better to keep it there practically maybe that's their thinking.

Meanwhile, I personally prefer a secure hardware wallet for all the assets we have that can be stored there.

It turns out that I am a little older than you, but I still look like a baby even though you have become a big boy.  Grin

I can only congratulate you on this long journey, I don't know how long I will be able to surpass 20k posts but it will take a few more years to travel. LOL

That is bitcoin can give everything that has been obtained from bitcoin, I believe bitcoin can change everything Tongue
1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 23, 2023, 05:49:00 PM
Inter Milan does have pretty good luck. Even AC Milan's victory when they beat Napoli was actually due to luck for Inter Milan. Because if in the Semi-finals Inter Milan were against Napoli then I think Napoli will be in the final now. But Napoli lost because of the bad luck that befell Osimhen. and what makes it funny is that Ac Milan also lost 1 of its flagship players due to injury in the first leg of the semi-finals. As if Ac Milan had been prepared to face Inter Milan. The point is Inter Milan is very lucky this season. Because in terms of the quality of the game, of course Man City is the best. but we don't know what kind of luck Inter Milan will have again. I'm a little worried about the Man City players. I'm afraid one of their mainstay players will get injured before the UCL final. because before the UCL final Man City will also face the final in the FA Cup.
Yeah Inter Milan had a pretty easy one to go to the final they were quite lucky in some games but it's not just about luck but they also have a mentality in the champions league so to get there now it's amazing what they are doing.

During their trip to the Champions League, Inter Milan got an opponent who was on par with them so they could make good use of that opponent, such as Porto, Benfica, Milan and that could be passed easily by Inter Milan so I think it's still very reasonable if Inter Milan is in the final .

In terms of quality, there is no need to doubt Manchester City. I thought this team would win, but in any match it can happen and that is what we can only predict from now on.
We are favorites Manchester City for this final, but I think for Manchester City they will rest their main players until the final.

Poor Laszlo. I feel sorry for him. It's cool to realize that our forum has long been a world legendary place with which such stories are connected. I found laszlo's account, and his activity is 199. Apparently, the forum was only a temporary place for him to pass through. Nevertheless, many people throw Merit to him, as if an offering to a monument.

Nevertheless, it was such people who created the price of bitcoin by such actions. And this is very important.
He was not unfortunate he thought that bitcoin would not explode after more than a decade but with that incident it became history in this forum that remembers him every year.

I can't imagine that he is active again in this forum by telling his story again, of course he will be made happy because his history will always be remembered.

But many people are happy with this celebration? Of course we also know that Pizza is a delicious food and it will remain in history forever.
1525  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hotbit stops operation on: May 23, 2023, 04:59:33 PM
One month should be enough for people to withdraw their funds if the process is easy and workout problems. If every depositor gets his funds back then the exchange has shown that they are genuine. But some customers are complaining that they cannot withdraw their funds because the withdrawal option is not operational. I am sure Hotbit engaged in some unprofessional business dealings that led to the loss of funds. They also complained of diverse cyber attacks that affected them negatively. This is a clear indication that they were not upgrading or investing in security.
Usually every time there is a CEX closing there will be a notification via email but Hotbit doesn't do that, only makes an announcement on Twitter maybe some people won't know about this update.

Luckily I don't have any assets in Hotbit exchange after many say that this exchange is very shady then if users still have balance there with withdrawals can't be done how do they withdraw those funds? Do you have to contact support first to do this?
I didn't open a hotbit account for a long time.

About their business dealings I may not know, but your statement is true where they are unprofessional in conducting business with several accusations that came out from many parties, but it was their decision to close CEX yesterday.

1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 21, 2023, 08:47:50 PM
The fact is that investment in general entails a lot of risk and not all investments will end in profits, some will lead to great profits ending.

While on other occasions, the market can go overboard against you, so what is important is that at every point in time, we need to build the financial knowledge that could point us to great advantages which could minimize our risk level.
There are many investments with minimal risk, there are also investments with high risk, in this category, you can choose whichever is the readiness, but behind big risks there must be high returns and we may hear that saying often.

If you want to get rich quickly from investing, it's impossible unless you go through several phases that you go through.

Knowledge of bitcoin is also important, in bearish times how to take advantage of it as an early investment because it is likely that bitcoin will recover again after being bearish, your patience is also very important if you are involved in bitcoin.

1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Confirmed That Government Can Get Access To Your Fund on: May 21, 2023, 07:45:38 PM
Few days ago, I came across a topic on this forum discussing that ledger now gives customers to option to store their wallet seed phrase through a cloud service within the wallet, several users, not just on this forum but also outside this forum, expressed deep concern as no one is sure any longer on the true privacy of the ledger hardware wallet..
This is more likely a security concern than privacy. It said an "option" but you can chose to ignore it.

I don't know what kind of thoughts Ledger have when they can't held responsible of the customer data breached incident happened to them before and now they will try to have a service to "protect" their users on their very own storage cloud service, the audacity.
Even though there is an option to ignore, the community will be very worried about the policies they make, what will happen if they are required to store data in their cloud?

Of course it will be a lot of contra to what Ledger is doing recently, I even saw several videos of several communities having switched to other devices because they no longer believe in Ledger as secure hardware even though there is a security service that they make.

1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 20, 2023, 07:13:17 PM
I am very surprised that Manchester City have officially won the Premier League without having to play a decisive match tomorrow. Arsenal's defeat left Manchester City 4 points ahead which Arsenal can no longer surpass when they only have 1 match left in the season. Is this the most beautiful gift for Manchester City from Arsenal after City stepped into the Champions League final?

On the other hand, Manchester City will start to focus on the team and its performance to win the FA Cup final which will be held on 3 June. They no longer need to win in 3 Premier League matches, which means they only need to finish without any burden. Congratulations to Pep Guardiola and Manchester City and all the fans.
Who would have thought that Manchester City would be champions now? Whereas I believe Arsenal will beat Nottingham but it's the opposite where Arsenal had to lose just now with a very thin score and this is really unlucky for Arsenal.

Obviously this is the most beautiful gift for them after winning successive EPL titles but the dream will become bigger if Manchester City can win everything that is called a treble winner.

Maybe it won't be a burden for the rest of the EPL matches, they can rotate some of the main players a little to prepare for other more important competitions, especially the Champions League final.
1533  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Supercycle? on: May 20, 2023, 06:53:19 PM
I think a bull run can happen at any time due to many factors, but what makes us optimistic is that bitcoin will continue to shine because the stock is limited because mining is getting more difficult, and of course the number of users continues to increase so that there will be an explosion in demand and of course a price explosion or bull run.
The most influential factor is that after the halving there will be more and more positive news about bitcoin that causes the bullrun to occur, but indeed we don't know when it will occur but the previous cycle was the same after the bullrun halving came.

Demand in the market will no longer be avoided with stronger adoption from several large institutions, about miners maybe this will be a little more difficult for them but for miners big companies are of course still profitable, what is clear is that there is always the right phase for all of this but I don't think when the bearish continues the bullrun suddenly comes I think it's still very unlikely.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Budget For Halving on: May 20, 2023, 05:47:38 PM
I am seeing out budgetary plans to invest exactly $90,000 in bitcoins in 2024. When others are impatient, I usually plan. The plan is to get this from my saving and loan. The action for more savings was kick started last month, it can see me through to the time of the investment when I will stop.
So you target your investment plan with a huge total of $90,000 from savings and loans, then invest entirely in bitcoins so you have no other spare funds left?
Remember! That bitcoin is not fully profitable, you also have to think about risks and reserve funds for other purposes, if you make a loan, for example, how do you pay the monthly installments? Are you ready for that?

The plan of taking loan is also there, that sum to be invested has to be completed and a business money will be realized. This is awesome and is gonna take me only 2 years to pay my loan comfortably.
I don't fully recommend that loans can guarantee your peace of mind, with long loan periods of up to two years meaning you have to pay even more interest.
Continuing to invest in bitcoins must be able to afford losses and be more precise on cold money.

What do you expect for Liverpool vs Aston Villa match?
Big chance for Liverpool to get into UCL spots again if Manchester slips against Bournemouth.
Unfortunately Liverpool have to be held back, it seems they won't have time to taste the Champions League later.
Precisely it was Liverpool who slipped while Manchester United won to lock them into the Champions League.

Does Nottingham Forest do miracles? Currently leading half-time one goal, Arsenal slipped again at the end of the season.
There is still a second half to change it.
1536  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: May 19, 2023, 07:18:21 PM
I won't take bets early, it's still too long, maybe the bookies can change the odds.

I think Man City will wipe the floor with them. I’m talking like 3-0 or 4-0. I mean anything can happen on a football pitch, it’s 11 vs 11 but Inter are going to need a lot of luck. Like you said, they will need to put the bunker in and hope for counter attacks. Would be funny if Lukaku scored the winner.
Everyone is already on Manchester City because this is one of the ideal teams where they can win the final in Turkey, but you are right anything can happen on the pitch because they are playing outside their Stadium, maybe Inter Milan just has to rely on luck? But it seems they still have a better attack.  Cheesy
Lukaku has always not been in the starting line-up but somehow Inzhagi always pinned his hopes on him in the second half after coming off the bench.

Lukaku could have brought luck to Inter. LOL
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 19, 2023, 04:53:10 PM

This is like the summary of the Leverkusen v Roma match last night. It was a match in which Leverkusen were trying hard to score at least one goal while Roma players were focused on fending off all the attacks only. Because it was really the only thing Roma did in this match. It is due to Mourinho indeed. If they had a manager who likes to play offense focused then we wouldn't have seen such defensive game from them.

This was a risk to take which would have turned into a disaster for Roma as well. Because if Leverkusen were able to score a goal early in the match then they would have used this as a boost to go for more in front of their supporters. There were many times that Mourinho's system worked out in the Champions League as well though. Hence I wouldn't like to disrespect that anyway despite not liking it at all.
It was Mourinho's strategy to always defend when they were unable to attack so there was no other choice but to defend, I know how Mourinho has always implemented this strategy system at several clubs he has held but it was a tactic he made as long as he could survive with the ability of his team is because Roma are not very agile in terms of attack so they can only rely on the first leg and for the second leg Mourinho succeeded with the tactics he made.

Maybe it's true that the atmosphere would be different if Leverkusen managed to score a goal in that area but Roma really kept their guard up not to concede a goal even though we know that several times the chances from Leverkusen were too many but managed to get pushed over by the goalkeeper which made them stronger to be behind with its resilience.

With the risks taken by Mourinho but he managed to make it to the final.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin retirement benefits on: May 19, 2023, 03:43:22 PM
Maybe many people will agree with bitcoin as a retirement fund that they have invested in since they were young because of course it has benefits that are easier to control themselves than relying on government pension funds, of course there are some requirements that are too complicated and that's what many hate because it won't be that easy.

Bitcoin won't be in the bag forever with prices continuing to rise, but think about how bitcoin crashes because it has high volatility so we can't prevent it, not to mention that it causes other factors that affect the value of bitcoin to fall, so if you only rely on bitcoin then it's not will be able to except having a lot of bitcoin in the wallet maybe we will cover all the needs of his old days.

Keep diversifying while you can take advantage of bitcoin from now on and buy some properties that you think the price will go up, the rest you can use bitcoin as a reserve asset or both funds.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 19, 2023, 03:18:11 PM
Who else thinks that City would be champions even before they play Chelsea on Sunday, because i think Nottingham Forest are going to beat Arsenal on Saturday. Don't get me wrong, if Arsenal were still in a tight competition to win the EPL, they'll blow Nottingham Forest away, but in the context of things, Arsenal know the league is done and City are definitely going to win it, they may come into tomorrow's game with heavy legs and psychologically down, whilst Nottingham Forest are fighting for their lives down the bottom of the table, thus the game might be more important for them, and since it's in their home, i see them winning.
Nottingham Forest wants to get out of relegation even though now it's not in its zone I know that Arsenal will be desperate because seeing the Manchester City vs Chelsea match they will definitely win at home but at least Arsenal can't be careless even though their hope is gone but I believes Nottingham Forest's game will be more than usual considering their situation of wanting to stay in the Premier League for next season.

But Manchester City will celebrate a win at home that's what I want to see, maybe against Chelsea it won't be too difficult especially Chelsea with Lampard not having an interesting game then I believe it will be an easy win for Pep Guardiola and his squad.
1540  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: May 19, 2023, 02:37:47 PM
Bitcoin price will definitely move towards higher levels as we assume Bitcoin halving starts every four years. And since this halving the price of bitcoin has increased tremendously as in 2020 there was bitcoin halving and in 2021 bitcoin price increased overnight. But cyclically I think bitcoin halving will start in 2024 and bitcoin price will increase by the end of 2024-25.  So I think if anyone wants to invest then this is the right time to invest, invest in Bitcoin very quickly. The period from January to May 2023 can certainly determine Bitcoin's upward trajectory.
The question is that if it will be the same as previous years, if we tend to follow that path then 2025 will be the best year we could ever have for Bitcoin, but it still begs the question if it will follow the same pattern. For me, I think Ethereum might be the good hold considering it haven't made any significant returns compare to Bitcoin during the last bull run, with lot of upgrades on the network like the PoS it surely is bullish.
The repetition may be the same, but the price and time are still uncertain, it's just that there is always a lot to look forward to because history always proves that bitcoin will continue to exceed the previous ATH price, so many people hope that after the halving bitcoin will experience a significant bullish trend at a vulnerable the near future though I know anything could be different from the previous year.

We'll see if next year will have the same pattern or will we wait longer? It still takes time

No, not Ethereum is a good handle it's just focused on bitcoin for me, maybe others think Ethereum has a wide ecosystem this coin will grow but don't think it will outpace what will happen to bitcoin.
Perhaps the highest rise refers to bitcoin alone.
