1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.S should embraced bitcoin on: April 13, 2023, 07:32:36 AM
The US people do not want to acknowledge it, but they also turned into a type of "Police" state, where the government are controlling most of the citizens. It is not as bad as China and North Korea, but it is slowly going towards that level..... because they used 911 to misuse their surveillance capabilities to monitor all their citizens.

So, why would they relinquish their control on the monitoring capabilities that Fiat currencies are offering them? They have full control over that, because they are in bed with the Banks. (Banks hate Crypto and governments protect Banks)  Roll Eyes
1522  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Transfer bitcoins without internet on: April 12, 2023, 08:32:04 AM
You can print Paper wallets with small amounts of bitcoin on it and then have people exchanging Paper wallets, but then you have to obscure the Private key. Someone has to secure the private keys and then provide it to them, when the people want to extract their bitcoins to their own online wallets.

This is definitely not the ideal scenario to use Bitcoin, because it centralizes the control of the Private keys and there are no transactions being done on the Blockchain, but it is cheaper than doing it on the Blockchain.  Tongue
1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ridiculous Bets that disappointed you on: April 12, 2023, 08:10:59 AM
I get the most frustrating bets when I play "Crash" .... Example : I will constantly bet say $1 on Crash and my highest multiplier will be 2x and below on my wins, but the moment when I drop my bets below $0.05 it will go up to 50x or 100x at it's highest wins.

Then, when I stop betting ... it will hit the 2000x or some ridiculous multiplier just to tease me into betting more. I know this sounds crazy and they use one seed for everyone playing on Crash, but this is my personal experience.  Sad
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: April 12, 2023, 07:51:46 AM
I think a lot of the casinos are doing that, because they want to prevent money laundering through their casino. The criminals that are doing money laundering want to maximize their profits, so a 5% loss will scare them off and they will rather go to another casino where they get 100% returns on their deposits and withdrawals.  Roll Eyes

There should be some feature where they void the 5% ..if you gambled a certain amount of money on the site. Let's say you wagered $1 000 000 on the site with games with a higher house edge, then that restriction falls away.  Roll Eyes
1525  Economy / Economics / Re: Does People Really Care About Decentralization? on: April 12, 2023, 07:37:35 AM
People only take alternative technologies serious when it offers them something that they need. So, one of the advantages of decentralization is that it increases your security, because centralized services are easy targets.

So if your services are under constant DoSS attacks, it might be one of the reasons why you might consider using decentralization to increase uptime .... and adoption increase under the people that understand decentralization's benefits.  Grin
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much effort should one put into Bitcoin investments on: April 12, 2023, 07:28:40 AM
I think this is one of those questions that are asked the most, but every answers differ from person to person. We have a popular saying that says, "Do not invest more than what you can afford to lose" So, if Bitcoin goes to zero tomorrow.... you should still be able to pay all your expenses and survive without any effort.

So, only take a small amount of your money every month and invest it into buying a little bit of bitcoins.... do not use credit to buy bitcoins.  Grin
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping Dealers on: April 11, 2023, 10:08:26 AM
Well, this was an unusual even, because MrBeast do this for "views" and followers and to gain money from that through social media. Most people only tip dealers, when they win something big... but most of these dealers gets nothing from the losers.  Tongue

I have tipped some dealers in a brick n mortar casino, but not on any crypto currency casinos... so I think I will give some small tips from now on, if the casino has that feature.  Wink
1528  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 11, 2023, 10:03:49 AM
It was confirmed yesterday on the sportschat that the base bonuses for weekly and monthly have been removed by stake.
During the past two livestreams inwhich the owner Eddie had also mentioned that they will no longer be including these amounts in the calculations of their weekly and monthly bonuses given to their players which started earlier last month.
So if you also noticed your amount of gameplay was cut out of the equation for your weekly, then your not alone.
He also explained that the table games such as stake originals Blackjack which has a low house edge of less than 0.5% will also not count.
Well this is another way of them saying that those regular amounts all players were expecting are being cut off indefinitely.

I was away for Easter weekend and I did not wager for a week, but I still got "base" payment. Eddie said they reduced the "base" amount that were paid to gamblers.. he did not say that it was removed.  Huh

I think he said... they do not want players just claiming their "base" amount every week.. without gambling, so they will reduce the "base" amount, if people continue using just their money to gamble.
1529  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blockchain Casinos - Consumer's Choice 2023! on: April 11, 2023, 09:58:56 AM
I do not really agree that those casinos are actually "Blockchain" casinos. The actual Blockchain casinos put all there bets on the Blockchain for transparency. Those casinos are crypto currency casinos ... not Blockchain casinos..  Tongue

I do not know if I am 100% correct, but there were a casino called "SatoshiDice" or something that functioned on top of the Blockchain, but it might have been called something else. (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Block_size_limit_controversy) ..where they complained about the congestion it caused on the Blockchain.
1530  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-04-07] Elon Musk And His Company To Fly Bitcoin To The Moon on: April 11, 2023, 09:51:39 AM
This project is also a "tongue in the cheek" pun to the saying that most Bitcoiners repeat over and over.... namely, that the Bitcoin price is going to the Moon.  Tongue  In any way..... nobody will fund a project to search for those bitcoins now, because that is roughly worth about $1 800 000 now.... but if the price really goes to the Moon.. we might have a new Lazlo event, where those bitcoins might end up being a few hundred million dollars.  Cheesy

Elon Musk know how to hype up something... and this is going to get a lot of publicity in the media. So hopefully someone see his vision and take him up on the challenge.  Wink
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [LAUNCHED] Bitcoincleanup.com: a website to stop Greenpeace's bitcoin FUD. on: April 11, 2023, 08:07:41 AM
I am 100% behind an initiative like this, because Greenpeace is sending out the wrong message and they ignore their own contribution to green house gasses and environmental pollution. (Example : Printing 1000's of pamphlets in an age where the Internet are used)  Roll Eyes

You are absolutely targeting the correct audience to launch an initiative like this, because bitcointalk.org has a strong network of Bitcoin supporters.. that will easily debunk this whole PoW myth.

You should also get a team to research a counter argument to highlight the combined affect that the Banking and other financial industries has on energy use and environmental pollution. (Starting with how much damage mining does to gather metals for coins and also paper and plastic for cash)
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigged Game on: April 10, 2023, 08:11:30 AM
This type of thing will only happen if the casino you are playing on.... has no third party slots. It can happen if the casino has their own in-house games, but they have to be stupid to configure those games on a 100% house edge.  Roll Eyes

I never place huge starting bets on a new casino, because I always test their RTP first ...with $0.10 and $0.20 bets. The third party slot providers set the RTP for the casino, so the casino cannot cheat with their games.  Grin
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in times of danger. on: April 10, 2023, 08:05:46 AM
You did not say if you had to sell at a loss or a profit, so it is difficult to see the whole picture. I had many friends who sold at a huge loss, because they bought near a All-time-high price. (They obviously did that against my best advice, but life happens and they needed the money)

We are some time lucky enough to come in early into a new technology and/or time the buying 100% correctly.... and then we make loads of money when the price spike.... but not everyone is that lucky.  Cry
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: April 09, 2023, 07:24:15 PM
Well, if there were 100% successful strategies, then most casinos would have to close their doors. There are some DICE strategies that give some profit, but it does not work every time you use it.  Roll Eyes  (Just go to youtube and google dice strategies)

The casino software work with a RNG and a Server and Client seed, so it is predetermined what you are going to win, so no strategy can change that. The casino set the RTP so that they can get their house edge and then the rest are distributed towards the people that are playing.  Roll Eyes
1535  Economy / Gambling / Re: We NEED Bitcointalk Members Feedback on Casino Challenges! on: April 09, 2023, 07:20:03 PM
If the challenges are in any way like Stake.com... then it will not be enjoyable for many people. They post Slot challenges with multipliers that are almost impossible to win. (In most cases, you can only win it with a Max win and also with a high value bet)

The Slot hunts are very predictable... because the same people are winning the same Slot hunts every 24 hours. I think they found a way to work together or to use Alt accounts to milk these challenges.... because it is the same people winning it.  Roll Eyes
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 09, 2023, 07:13:46 PM
There should be no reason for us to convince people to use bitcoins, because it should come naturally, when they realize what the advantages are to use the technology. (They need a light bulb moment.... and that will only happen when the find the correct information about Bitcoin)

How do you isolate criminals from normal users of Bitcoin... to make it harder for them to use it? The only way I can think of is the stripping of all pseudo anonymity .... and that will render Bitcoin use for everyone else .... useless..  Roll Eyes
1537  Economy / Economics / Re: If the dollar/fiat was worthless! on: April 07, 2023, 09:05:53 AM
Well, if the Fiat currencies (US Dollar) collapse, Bitcoin will just take it's place... so each Satoshi will be worth so much more and you will ask for X amount of Satoshi for whatever goods and services you want to buy or sell.

A Satoshi will also be worth a lot more than what it is worth now, so you should not be too worried about the value and it having to be linked to any Fiat currency. That is most Bitcoiners dream.. for Bitcoin to replace Fiat currencies.  Grin
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 07, 2023, 08:23:36 AM
Most of the casino works with big money,So they won’t scam for the little money.Which you mean as the bonus to the participants, the bonus is nothing to the trusted gambling or casino. If you want to check to find the bonus program of certain website, you should apply for it.Then check whether they paying you the bonus or not.The good gambling site ready to pay you even 1000 dollars as a bonus for the big deposit.Bonus program is used by the website to get attractions among gamblers,I don’t think they will scam on such program.

No, friend..... we are talking about daily drops and a lot of them for 1000s of people. So, in the long run.. it adds up to a LOT of money in a year. Remember one thing.... if a casino are dishonest about one thing, then they might be dishonest with a lot of the other things they do too.

We are the watchdogs for many people who might want to gamble at Crypto casinos.. so we must get rid of the "bad" apples to convince potential gamblers that Crypto casinos are not scams.  Tongue
1539  Economy / Gambling / Re: Past Experiences with histakes.io ? on: April 07, 2023, 07:21:52 AM
I played on histakes.io before and I am almost certain that I heard about them from a ANN thread on this forum, so I cannot see why people are doubting the site so much. I will take some time and look for it, but the "look" of the site might be very similar to other sites.

In any way.. I am glad you got back all of your money and that the site honored your withdrawal. We see a lot of the smaller sites struggling to payout large withdrawals quickly..... but it might be because they do bulk extraction from cold storage to protect their bankroll.

We just can't stop hopping and have hidden yet another egg on site for you to find 🐰

Find the egg, screenshot it and put it in the comments and we'll pick two people at random to win $150 each in Stake credit 🤑

Level 2 verified Stake account required to claim prize ✅

https://twitter.com/Stake/status/1644128714454896642

You know.. this is what I like about Stake, there are always something interesting going on.. it is never boring. A while ago.. I complained that there are not enough Challenges being posted.. and someone might have seen that.. and now there are plenty challenges.  Roll Eyes

I think we should have a treasure hunt next... Stake must partner with their third party Slot providers and then ask them to hide a treasure for us on their sites and we should then figure out the clues and then screenshot the treasures as we find them.  Grin

Now back to egg hunting...  Wink
