Well, someone thought it was a good idea to develop Ordinals and for that to spam the Blockchain.  The "enemies" or competition of Bitcoin might have seen this as an opportunity to "spam" the network with more useless transactions to create congestion.

We will just have to ride this out and hopefully the developers will find a way to counter this.  Why can there not be some way to shift these Ordinals to a side-chain, like they did with the Lightning Network?

My strategy is simple ==> DO NOT play High volatility slots with a small bankroll.

The Lightning Network was suppose to alleviate most of the congestion for smaller transactions, but now these Ordinals are spamming the network with worthless traffic.  

A lot of people are too focused on "money" and what those bitcoins might be worth in 5 or 10 years from now. You just paid for a life-time of precious memories.

That is also an investment into your future, with the potential to have children and a happy wife. Life is not just about money, it is a journey full of good memories. I will happily spend a lot of money (bitcoin) on building memories like that and even expensive holidays for my family, because you cannot take anything with you when you are sick or when you die.
