601  Economy / Gambling / Re: - UGA - a Gamblers Union on: November 10, 2023, 05:46:13 AM
Well, a Union might not be the correct platform for something like this....

Most Unions ask people to pay membership fees and they pay their salaries with that and do almost nothing for their members. I think you have it spot on to developing social media platforms for people to air their problems with casinos and also to create unbiased review sites to review these casinos.

I hope you can stay biased with your platforms and not use this to take revenge on casinos like Stake.com for what they have done to you.  Wink
602  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-11-07] Cathie Wood:Bitcoin Is A Hedge Against Both Deflation And Inflation on: November 10, 2023, 05:37:22 AM
Well, traditionally things like Gold and commodities and raw materials like oil, metals and agricultural products are used as a Hedge against inflation, because they retain their value in unstable conditions, but Bitcoin has shown that it can do that over longer periods.

During deflation, Cash becomes the most valuable asset because it can buy more.... and Bitcoin can both be a Commodity and a currency, so I guess she is correct.. if she says Bitcoin can be used to counter both.  Tongue
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone saw mempool right now? Mempool spam on: November 10, 2023, 05:26:42 AM
Well, someone thought it was a good idea to develop Ordinals and for that to spam the Blockchain.  Roll Eyes The "enemies" or competition of Bitcoin might have seen this as an opportunity to "spam" the network with more useless transactions to create congestion.

We will just have to ride this out and hopefully the developers will find a way to counter this.  Roll Eyes Why can there not be some way to shift these Ordinals to a side-chain, like they did with the Lightning Network?
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s your strategy on high volatility slot game? on: November 09, 2023, 06:54:12 AM
My strategy is simple ==> DO NOT play High volatility slots with a small bankroll.

I will play a slot with low volatility and wait until I hit a good sized Jackpot and then I will switch to a High volatility slot.... then I play that until I win big or until I go bust.

It also depends on my mood.... if I feel lucky, I will take a chance on a High volatility slot... but when I am bored and I just want to relax for a long time... I will rather play low volatility slots until I bust.

I gamble for entertainment... so the longer I can play, the happier I will be. (Hitting a large jackpot is just a bonus)  Wink
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: November 09, 2023, 06:46:23 AM
-snip-
Unless they don't want to handle it on their own.

They need to partnership with provider-game example like (EVO-Games) while the table and everything is being setup for them and that's the reason why these plan really take the time. IMO, Eddie & Stake team don't want to opened or handle the game by their own because to much things to do for the set up system they just can easily do partnership with other provider.

The only problem, right now we don't have any live-game poker and to set up these things required a build from scratch. I hope these poker table are live-game not just a machine things.

They already have Video Poker under their Original Games and that did not ruffle my feathers at all. I would like to see P2P poker championships and also some kind of spectator side betting on those matches.

Poker can be a real money spinner, if you do it right... so they should not do some half ass attempt at doing this. The other Stake original games are getting a lot of action, because they are solid games.  Wink
606  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-11-08] Motley Fool - This 1 Catalyst Could Send Bitcoin Soaring Back to... on: November 09, 2023, 06:37:08 AM
I think it will be a combination of events that will be the catalyst for the "Boom" cycle in Bitcoin. BlackRock, amongst other large financial institutions, are currently awaiting a decision from the SEC on whether it can issue a bitcoin spot ETF and they are one of the leading financial investment groups out there.

Now, you also see that the conflict in the Middle East are pushing investors to look for something with a store of value and traditional investment options like property are not that attractive anymore.

They also know that the "Halving" are going to push up the price, so they want to profit from that.. before it is over.  Wink
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know about the first public servant paid in bitcoin ? on: November 09, 2023, 06:27:55 AM
You have to understand that most people can only invest a fraction of their salary, so even if he invested only say 10% of his salary... he would barely been a millionaire if he hoarded those coins.  Roll Eyes

You need to live on your salary and pay expenses, like the utilities and rent and car payments etc... so you cannot invest the whole salary. Most public servants will never be allowed to get their salary in Bitcoin, because governments do not acknowledge Bitcoin as a Currency.  Roll Eyes
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to roll-back Ordinals? on: November 09, 2023, 06:21:17 AM
The thing is.... if you stop ORDI or any other Shitcoin ...then within a few days the developers just create another and it is the same story again. We should find some kind of side-chain solution for these ordinals to use or find a way to solve the block size limitations that are not based on some side-chain.

The Lightning Network was suppose to alleviate most of the congestion for smaller transactions, but now these Ordinals are spamming the network with worthless traffic.  Roll Eyes
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wedding expenses and party celebrations with Bitcoin money. on: November 08, 2023, 06:44:27 AM
A lot of people are too focused on "money" and what those bitcoins might be worth in 5 or 10 years from now. You just paid for a life-time of precious memories.

That is also an investment into your future, with the potential to have children and a happy wife. Life is not just about money, it is a journey full of good memories. I will happily spend a lot of money (bitcoin) on building memories like that and even expensive holidays for my family, because you cannot take anything with you when you are sick or when you die.  Wink
610  Economy / Economics / Re: "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today" on: November 08, 2023, 06:17:44 AM
You have to understand that all products have different target markets, so you might get your cheap perfumes that are targeted to the poor and middle class people and then you get the expensive perfumes for the rich people and this is the same for most products in the market.

I think if they made a perfume based on my monthly salary, then people using it might smell like a Skunks ass.  Cheesy  In any way, most people never reach a stage in their life, where they acquire passive income... the majority have to work for it until they die.  Tongue

A lot of governments provide social grants to people when they pension without benefits, so that might be perceived as passive income.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 08, 2023, 06:07:00 AM
You are stating the most obvious reasons, but there are a lot more... namely :

1. If you feel that you are cheated by the site. RTP (Return to Player) can be configured to take too much from the gamblers.
2. You might have withdrawal issues with the casino.
3. The chat facility might be too moderated and toxic.
4. The casino might have started without KYC verification and they suddenly ask for it.
5. You might become bored with gambling. (Some people need to be stimulated and gambling can become laborious and repetitive.)

So these are just some of the things that can cause you to stop gambling.... there are lots more reason.  Wink
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bustabit Bankroll Profit Predictor on: November 08, 2023, 05:56:45 AM
Can you break down the formula that you use to make these calculations? It sounds a bit crazy that you can make more than 30% of the investment capital you deposited, back in profit in a year.  Roll Eyes

I am also getting security certificate warnings about your site, so I do not know if your SSL certificate are legit? In any way, it is nice to see those potential profits, but can we trust the calculations?

613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: at which point of a boxing match you consider cashingout? on: November 07, 2023, 06:08:56 AM
A lucky punch does not guarantee a win for the fighter in my opinion, yes it will put the other fighter on the back foot for a while... but most professional fighters can absorb that kind of pressure and it actually motivates them to fight harder.

I stay with my original bet and I hope for the best. In some fights one of the boxers will show more skills or they will look more fighting fit for the fight in the beginning... but the more professional fighter might be holding back to deliver a strong ending, when their opponent starts to get tired... so that strategy might fool some people to cash out early.   Grin
614  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 07, 2023, 05:59:37 AM
Did anyone else receive an email from Stake that level two verification is not compulsory?

Level two verification is not compulsory, but it will boost your rewards during the promotions that are done. As long as this email is not asking you to click on any link to do some kind of verification, then you should be fine.

A lot of the emails that are send out these days are attempted Phishing attacks, but they come with a section where they want you to click on something to login into your account... so that they can steal your login details.  Roll Eyes

Be Safe... do not click on links in email.  Wink
615  Economy / Economics / Re: Is energy prices about to shoot up? on: November 07, 2023, 05:51:33 AM
I think the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah are the spark for a full scale war in the region, with Iran following them when it happens and that will destabilize the whole middle east. Hezbollah is far more powerful than Hamas, so Israel will call in help from the US and that will escalate into a much bigger conflict.

The market will react because of the fear of a worst-case scenario, where a conflict in Israel magnifies throughout the region and affects global oil trade. A ripple in the pond ..always cause waves throughout the global markets and it just increase as the conflict escalate.

Iran asserts control over the passage of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, a trading route that facilitates the transport of about 15% of global oil supply.  Roll Eyes
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Plan to Make the Most of Your Bitcoin Investment Before the Halving? on: November 07, 2023, 05:32:01 AM
If you only started hoarding bitcoins now.... it might be too late, because you are buying during the recovery period and the price are increasing as we go towards the Halving event.

The peak will also not be on the date of the Halving, because people will start buying before the actual event happens. The hype cycle for the Halving start a few weeks before the Halving happens and that is when most people are buying.  Roll Eyes
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 8k for passive income. on: November 07, 2023, 05:25:27 AM
Well, you are looking for a massive 45% yearly profit or interest on your money .....with Banks only giving under 10% if you are really lucky. A site like Freebitco.in is giving only 4% interest on bitcoins that are deposited there, so you are searching for the Goose that are laying gold eggs.  Grin

If it was that easy.... everyone would be invested in whatever is giving that much profit or interest... but it is not that easy. Let me know if you find anything "legal" that provide that kind of profit.  Wink
618  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 06, 2023, 06:17:24 AM
I am one of those people who believe long-term investment bring early wealth and I will stand by that. We know compound interest are very powerful and compound interest work miracles over long periods.

You should start working the moment when you leave school and you should study part-time to improve your knowledge and to build your CV. The youth of today seem to think it is normal for their parents to pay for them to study and also live in their parents home until they are 40... but that perception need to change.... YOU as an individual are responsible for your own life and YOU have to work to achieve that.

I worked to pay for my studies and I left the house, just after I left school... and I paid for everything I owned in life.  Wink
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 06, 2023, 06:07:24 AM
Well, there are reality and then there are dreams.... and winning with these odds on any of your bets are almost impossible. The thing is, most people cling to those dreams and they play for that big multiplier win and that is what gambling is about.

You spend a lot of money, trying to hit that huge Jackpot..... or betting with crazy odds and winning it against all odds. I am not one of those people that are copying someone else's bets, because I feel you create your own luck.  Tongue
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your own casino. on: November 06, 2023, 06:01:11 AM
Well, it is easy to own your own online casino... you basically buy a white label casino script and you fund it with some startup capital and then spend some money marketing it, but with all the competition out there... you might struggle to make a profit.

I would like to have my own casino, but I cannot justify taking 1000s of people's money to reward only a few people every day. My casino will be the one where I give 99.9% of the money back to the gamblers and I just take 0.1% to cover the expenses.  Tongue
