561  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-11-14] If you created a wallet before 2016, your money may be at risk on: November 15, 2023, 05:49:42 AM
Blockchain.info has been a security hazard for years and I remember this "randomness" issue being reported on this very forum. I luckily shifted my coins from Blockchain.info before this vulnerability were discovered, so my coins are safe in a secure wallet.

It has also been an issue for me to get the 2FA notice in time, before it expires... just to get into the wallet, because the sending of the 2FA took ages. (A wallet should not give you too many hassles to login.... and Blockchain.info was one of them)  Roll Eyes
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make bitcoin "untouchable" for a while on: November 15, 2023, 05:36:42 AM
I would advise against using something that locks in your coins, because you might miss out on huge profits if you do. We are in a cycle of pumping and recovery at the moment and we might hit a new all-time-high soon, where you can "cashout" with huge profits.

I will advise you not to lock in all your coins, if you have the option to do that. Keep a small amount locked in, but keep the majority of the coins accessible if the Bitcoin price goes to the Moon, so that you can sell for some profit. (Remember, if you sell for a profit and the price goes down again.. you can buy more coins with the profit)  Wink
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 15, 2023, 05:27:38 AM
It does not matter how you look at it, KYC verification is inevitable. Let's look at how KYC are enforced and when it happens to understand this. Example : A casino will start out small with virtually a few hundred gamblers and they want to stand out from their competition, so they announce that they do not ask for KYC verification.

This goes on for a few years and they gain MANY gamblers, but as they grow... regulators start to notice them and they track them down and confront them with options... "either implement KYC or get shutdown" .... so suddenly you see sites with no KYC requirements, starting to ask for people to verify their identity.

So in conclusion : They start with No KYC requirements and are then forced to implement it.  Roll Eyes
564  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto News Site Created Recently on: November 14, 2023, 06:13:00 AM
Hello, I created a crypto news site, give me some feedback. FYI .. I know alot more needs to be done, including SSL on it. Enjoy and give me topics of interests... Checkout the Instagram page as well, has shortened version of each post.

Thanks,
www.thisCrowd.com

I was able to access the site only once and it was very basic, but since then... the site has been down.  Roll Eyes  It does not create a good first impression, when you advertise the site and it is down for most of the visitors.

I think you should change your hosting service and also implement the SSL as soon as possible to give some credibility to the site. The world needs reliable and trustworthy Crypto news sites, because there are a lot of shit sites that are spreading FUD out there.  Wink

Hope you get it sorted, because I will check in again.  Wink
565  Economy / Economics / Re: The Thailand government will distribute money to its citizens. Economists critic on: November 14, 2023, 06:02:41 AM
I would much rather implement a "Coupon" system that can only be redeemed for "food" and basic necessities. I have seen people buying goods and selling it for "banned" substances, so no measures are free from exploitation.  Roll Eyes

Let's not forget that the money that was used for this initiative are coming from the tax payers, so someone are paying for this. Yes, they are getting something back from their taxes, but they do not have the freedom to buy what they want from it.  Roll Eyes
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 14, 2023, 05:53:35 AM
Well, you have to understand that your parents money was never yours, it was something that was generated from the hard work of your parents. You cannot claim ownership of the money that was supposed to be a gift from your parents.

You cannot contest the "Will" without taking in consideration that your parents did this, because they wanted to protect you. There are consequences for your actions and you should learn something from this.

We all have to work for our money and we should be responsible when we spend it.  Wink
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 14, 2023, 05:36:28 AM
I am glad this discussion sparked this much discussion, because we need to speak about these thing.

I did not post this thread to discuss the reasons why KYC are evil in so many ways, but rather why you want to gamble on a site without KYC verification.

A lot of people used "privacy" as a reason and I can agree with that, but anonymity also provides "privacy" for criminals and scammers. So, would you rather have "privacy" over some kind of protection that KYC provides?

We have to remember that KYC verification are not without loopholes and criminals exploit that, but it makes things more difficult for the majority of the smaller criminals to bypass it.

The pseudo anonymity of Bitcoin has the same PROs and CONs ....and we know governments hate Crypto currencies because of that, but some protection is better than having nothing at all. (You hate it, until you get scammed or hacked or you lost access to your account)  Roll Eyes
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin. on: November 14, 2023, 05:19:38 AM
Well, if the SEC denies the application for a Bitcoin ETF, nothing significant will happen.. because those companies will just review their applications and apply again or they will opt to invest in Bitcoin directly.

We also have the Bitcoin Halving that will also help to boost the demand and also the price of bitcoins. The conflict in the Middle East will also increase the demand for bitcoins, because investors are dumping money into investments that are seen as something with a store of value.

Just calm down..... What will be, will be.... Que Sera, Sera!
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 13, 2023, 06:06:31 AM
Well, the parents cannot stop him from using online gambling from his mobile phone, so this is one way of bypassing his or her parents plans to stop the gambling. (They can take his or her phone, but he or she can have another phone or use a friends phone to gamble)

I think they should address the main reasons for the addiction in a professional manner. They should take this person to get professional help from someone that can deal with gambling addiction.  Wink
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 05:55:45 AM
I was thinking about this question over the weekend and I cannot seem to find legitimate reasons why people would want to play at casinos that do not require KYC verification.

1. KYC requirements reduce money laundering.
2. KYC requirements reduce under age gambling.
3. KYC requirements increase the possibility to hold people to account for their actions. (Exploiting casino systems)
4. KYC requirement reduce scamming
5. KYC requirements can be used to restore accounts after it has been hacked. (Using the documents that were used by the original owner)
6. KYC requirements adhere to government regulations and legitimize a casino.
7. KYC requirements can be used to reduce gambling addiction. (Identifying people that self-excluded or people trying to create new accounts)
8. KYC requirements can be used to enforce regional gambling restrictions.

Why would you want to avoid being identified, if you gamble legally and if you are not a criminal? Let's discuss the reasons why KYC are not advantageous for the gamblers and casinos?

Ps. I am playing Devil's advocate... if you did not notice it.  Grin
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Would you Like Your Pension Paid in Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2023, 05:35:59 AM
The thing is, Bitcoin is doing well now... but it could have been the other way around... where the Bitcoin price might have fallen and your Pension might be worst than what it would have been in a stable investment fund.

Most of the Pension funds invest the workers capital into long-term stable investment options with low risk to secure the pension fund payments in the future.... and Bitcoin is seen as a high risk investment with extreme volatility.  Tongue
572  Economy / Economics / Re: Swiss Franc become a new Cryptocurrency ;D on: November 12, 2023, 09:28:25 AM
The Swiss National Bank is creating fiat. Both the fiat in digital form or the crypto one have the same value. The government of the countries that are creating CBD should look for other things that they want to use money for than looking for ways to deceive people that CBDCs are cryptocurrencies, they are not.

Exactly. I also think that most Alt coins that are centralized, fall under the Fiat/CBD category. (Might sound crazy, but in my opinion all creators of Crypto currencies should be anonymous and not controlled by centralized entities that are known)

The moment when you can target the original creator of the Crypto currency, you lost half of the battle.... and when that entity can be forced to manipulate the code... then you are fck'ed.  Tongue
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 09:19:12 AM
Why would I use the coin with the best "store of value" or the highest hash rate? I prefer to use stable coins that has almost zero volatility and if I win big, I withdraw some and I buy Bitcoin (BTC) with the Fiat.  Grin

I started out playing with Bitcoin and realized that it was a huge mistake. I would much rather play with something else and use the profit from that to buy more bitcoins and then hoard the shit out of it until the Moon hits us hard.  Wink
574  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 12, 2023, 09:08:13 AM
I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed Eddie's stream yesterday.... the part where AdinRoss grilled Eddie was very interesting indeed. It is very entertaining to see and hear about the inner workings of Stake.com and how they operate.  Wink

They should do a stream where they tour the offices of Stake and show us a "behind the scenes" look of what it takes to make it tick.  Wink In any way... the split stream was a good decision and I hope they will continue with that.  Grin
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hot take: Your crypto portfolio should have more than just Bitcoin. on: November 12, 2023, 08:58:59 AM
Why should you diversify into shitcoins to make a profit? I have done that before and these shitcoins has cost me a lot of losses. I handle some "good" Alt coins like Bitcoin now, by buying low and selling high, but I am very picky on what Alt coins I am buying.

I started in Crypto currencies when there were only Bitcoin and a hand full of Alt coins..... now there are 1000s of shitcoins out there trying to emulate Bitcoin's success.  Roll Eyes
576  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: November 11, 2023, 09:42:37 AM
I think that all casinos have some Halloween event. But in my preferred casinos the main events were only for deposit. And i didn`t deposit money on this event.
The same time i don`t like to spend time trying to catch a bonus and it is possible that i missed something. As i see it was possible to get free $100-$300 during the event.

I am always intrigued by the obsession people has over Halloween? Would you really make a deposit, simply because a site offers Halloween promotions?

Yes, I can understand if someone like Halloween themed games and if they join a casino if they offer these kinds of games, but most of these promotions are bullsh1t.. and not enough reason to join them.  Roll Eyes
577  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-11-09] SEC Engages In Talks With Grayscale On Proposed Bitcoin ETF on: November 11, 2023, 09:01:22 AM
The SEC is in talks with Grayscale about a Bitcoin spot ETF, following their legal win in August. Grayscale is engaging with SEC units, and their Chief Legal Officer sees positive progress among firms like BlackRock and Fidelity. Despite Bitcoin hitting a 2023 peak at $36,000, the SEC, led by Gary Gensler, has yet to approve a spot ETF, citing concerns about fraud and market manipulation. Despite delays, major Wall Street players persist in submitting proposals, and Gensler emphasizes the prevalence of fraud in the crypto market.
Read the article: https://coinminutes.com/news/sec-engages-in-talks-with-grayscale-on-proposed-bitcoin-etf/

The fact that there are bureaucrats who have to approve something like this says a lot about the degree of freedom remaining in the US and in the world.  In a free country/world, adults should be free to enter into contracts like this without a hack like Gensler having to approve it or not.

The question is this, in most countries political leaders are voted into power by the majority of the citizens and they appoint those people in their positions to make those decisions. Are enough Bitcoin supporters doing the research to find out if they are voting for the correct political party that are supporting Bitcoin?

We now have some of the biggest financial management companies supporting spot ETF's and those same companies are making donations to political parties election campaigns.  Roll Eyes
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not perfect, and that's okay. on: November 11, 2023, 08:52:19 AM
You are 100% correct....

Should we stop using telephones and mobile phones because terrorists and drug dealers also use it to talk to communicate? There has not been a single technology that has not been exploited by criminals, but the Bitcoin competitors and haters are using all these criminal activities as examples to not support Bitcoin use.  Roll Eyes

Banks have a lot more problems than Bitcoin has, just look at all the flaws that exist in their technology... "Charge backs / SIM swapping / ATM kidnappings / Hacking of online Banking clients etc..."

I take Bitcoin over Banks every day of the week.  Wink
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What impact does the BTC price have on your gambling habits? on: November 10, 2023, 08:04:12 AM
I do not bet with Bitcoin (BTC) because it is too volatile and also too valuable for me. I collect Bitcoin (BTC) from rewards and promotions that are given by the site and I withdraw it, but I usually play with Stable coins like USDT.

I will then wait for the Bitcoin price to increase and then sell at a profit to buy some more Stable coins with those profits. (Hoarding the base amount) So I basically play with the profits from the Bitcoin (BTC) that I get for free.

Lately, I just hoard all my Bitcoin (BTC) ..because I see it is recovering and going towards the next ATH price.  Wink

Some question guys.

I really love watching QuickTM for playing original-game from Stake. I have some plan for playing (Slide), do we have some third-parties website who can track the result daily like (Highest) after how many spin? something like (TrackCasino) who can track the game from Evolution Live-Games (CT, Monopoly and other).

Thanks.

#ryzaadit I think I have seen a site that collects information about Stake "Crash" multipliers, but it was a while ago. Do you think the data will improve the outcome of your bets, because I have tried to use the data provided by sites like TrackCasino and it did not yield any better results.

Even though players are sharing one Seed for "Slide" and other Stake Original games, the outcome of each individual bet should not be linked back to any previous bets, it should be random like any other bets done on those games.  Huh Huh
