Liverpool's biggest need has been a midfielder definitely. I mean an attacking midfielder. Because Klopp has not much choice in his hands so he selects Elliott for the lineup. Elliott is one of the promising youngsters maybe but this isn't enough for this league level. This kind of youngsters can be a part of the starting eleven of big teams if they perform much better comparing to their ages. Haaland has been a player like that for example and he is still the most impressive player in the Premier League without doubt.

Bellingham transfer also doesn't seem likely if his father doesn't manage to convince him to play for Liverpool. I don't know with whom they are planning to solve this issue. Maybe Mac Allister?

Actually I can't say that Barcelona are perfect now either. Because they have had serious problems in big matches as we all know very well from the ones they have played so far. Lewandowski was very ineffective as well in those matches but the team performance was also bad. It didn't change no matter in what tournament they played. I'm wondering about this the most as a result. Xavi had a very much time in the World Cup break to think of a solution for this. Because it means everything to the team.

They have been just great in the Serie A for six weeks. The Cremonese match is an opportunity to make it seven. Actually they can continue to win until facing Napoli considering their fixtures.

The championship has become like a magnet for them.    They don't need to make any important transfer to win the league as a result.

However things might be different when it comes to the Champions League. Because the real competition for them is there obviously. They might need to get stronger in attacking line especially to beat the biggest title contenders. They have a matchup against one of them already in this round. But it looks like they won't bring a striker in January anyway.

It feels like West Ham - Brentford game will end with 2.5 over goals. I'm statistically talking of course. They played two matches against each other in the league recently and one of them ended like that. In addition to that, West Ham didn't have problem on scoring goals in home matches this season and it is the same for Brentford in away ones. However both of them have a really fragile defense. They conceded so many goals in those matches for example. This can be a sign like they would play attacking focused against each other here.

West Ham already need a win so bad as they lost for two weeks. It is the same for Brentford considering the streak of draws. Brentford defeated them in both head-to-heads so far and I think they won't lose in this one as well. They are already in a better condition now.

Atletico Madrid might seem from the statistics like they are very dominant against Elche now but I don't think so to tell the truth.

They haven't been able to prevent Elche players much from passing the ball to each other so many times. These teams have a quite close number of dangerous attacks as well. Maybe Atletico Madrid have 11 goal attempts while Elche's is 3. However only one of Atletico Madrid's attempts was on target. This is a pretty bad performance if you ask me. But they are still so lucky that Elche's centre-back Verdu was sent off just before the end of the first half. This is a golden opportunity for Atletico Madrid to win.

Tottenham should be able to become victorious this time. Aston Villa haven't returned well by losing to Liverpool 3-1 home. They will be likely to be quite vulnerable against Tottenham as well. Because Tottenham are another team that have a strong attacking line and very effective scorers like Kane. They didn't have much problem about scoring against Brentford too actually. However it was the defense which created problems for them during the match. It was a winnable match for Tottenham normally.

I think they won't do the same mistakes here in their home stadium. Kane should be able to continue scoring and they should win this comfortably.

I'm curious about what Inter will do as well. They were pretty nice in the group stage. Most people were expecting to see Barcelona pushing them out of the Champions League but the opposite happened. It was quite unexpected for me as well to tell the truth. They got four points in total from Barcelona which was a really good effort. Now they are going to face Porto in last 16 stage. On paper, Inter are the favourite team to advance of course. However bookmakers don't see them as a big favourite either - Inter to advance has a 1.76 odd while it is 1.96 for Porto.

But I believe in Inter to do this. I really appreciate their attacking performance this season. Maybe they have had defensive issues so far in general however they have mostly been very good at scoring. Porto are another productive team maybe but Inter should be able to eliminate them anyway by a small margin.

According to Goal.com, Bellingham is prioritizing Real Madrid over Liverpool now.

I must admit that I'm not surprised to hear this news at all. Because Real Madrid has a really different place for this kind of very skilled youngsters. It is like a dream team for most of the future superstars and it has been like this for so many years as well. Liverpool needed to have things that should attract his attention to itself. But it doesn't I'm afraid. We can talk about the Champions League but Real Madrid are superior to every other European team there by far already. Liverpool had better look for other youngsters.

I don't know I think it isn't a good thing for a team to use the same strategies over and over every year. It starts not to work anymore at a point.

For example it is already valid for Atletico Madrid. They are really bad now but Simeone doesn't look like he will make substantial changes in his strategies either. It will most probably end up with his leaving the team or being sacked by them. I wouldn't like to see him here anymore if I was an Atletico Madrid fan as well. I respect his successes with the team but it is obvious that he isn't good for the team anymore. The same thing might happen to Xavi so he should be careful with his preferences.

Indeed it was a very awkward match between Karagumruk and Trabzonspor. I just don't understand how Trabzonspor can be this much bad in this match. Because their performance against Fenerbahce was really way different than this. The Turkish Super League is really full of surprises.    Trabzonspor are already happy with their championship in the previous season. This must be why they are playing complacently this season. We don't see any sign of their performance in the previous season.

I wonder what Besiktas will do. I think they can leave Trabzonspor behind in the standings. But I'm not sure if they can enter the title race later.

I haven't heard of any striker on their agenda these days. They were trying to finish the Gakpo transfer but I'm afraid they lost him to Liverpool newly. I think they will observe what the team will do for a few matches to decide upon a transfer for the attacking area of the team. Their performance against Nottingham was really impressive. Rashford and Martial were able to show just the performance the team needed. If these two continue to play productive maybe Manchester United would postpone their transfers for this area.

Maybe they are planning a big transfer for next summer already but I don't know. They might go for a midfielder in January as well.

It looks like I was wrong about Leicester. I thought that Leicester would continue to climb in the standings. But their performance against Newcastle was just terrible to tell the truth. There was nothing positive in defense and offense both. But when we look at Leicester's previous matches we can see that they were able to fix their issues in their defense. There wasn't any problem with scoring goals either. Actually it wasn't a problem since the beginning of the season. The defense was just holding them back.

Leicester need to make important changes now. I don't feel like Rodgers is the main problem. I think they can solve this problem with new transfers.

Nkunku is currently the leader in top scorer table with 12 goals. He is like one of the numbered scorers who haven't made any assist in this table but this contribution is still pretty big for Leipzig. Maybe we don't see any official update on Transfermarkt about him but he is joining Chelsea by next summer most probably. This will be a really big loss for Leipzig surely. Because even though there are four strikers in the team now, only Nkunku is making a big contribution to the team.

There are Andre Silva, Werner and Poulsen as well but even the number of goals this trio scored is below Nkunku's. After Nkunku leaves Leipzig will need at least one of this trio to play more effective to stay productive. For that, I see Silva and Werner having the biggest potential.

It is not actually about being in need of Mbappe for Real Madrid.

Yes, they don't need especially Mbappe for achieving the La Liga title or even the Champions League title. They already proved that by getting both of the titles in the previous season. It is important for Real Madrid to have a player like Mbappe because they would like to build a dream team again like they loved to do it in the past. They don't need Mbappe and Haaland both either to make this dream come true either. Only Mbappe would be a great addition to make this team far stronger than before. There is a great coherence between Mbappe and Benzema already but maybe Mbappe would take his place in the starting eleven rather than playing beside him. But it depends on when PSG would be likely to sell Mbappe.

Manchester United are already very comfortable indeed. They have just brought the score advantage to 2-0. Rashford and Martial have made really great returns so far by scoring one goal each. Rashford has an assist as an extra. This is what this team really need now. Because lacking skills in scoring goals was an hindrance for them to get comfortable wins in their league matches. Otherwise they were having so many goal opportunities. But consistency will be the key factor for them on one hand.

Because if they don't play like this regularly then it won't mean anything for them. Entering top 4 is very important for them this season.

I really don't know about McLaren. Because they were even worse than the previous season the last time.

There was a huge power loss in the car and this was a big factor holding Norris and Ricciardo back from reaching their potential in the season. To tell the truth, I wasn't expecting much from Ricciardo because he wasn't looking like competitive much. But Norris still tried to do his best with this car. From time to time, he did a good work as well. McLaren will need to work hard on their car now to close up the big gap with the top teams. It won't be easy to do this while they are even weaker but let's see. I hope they use their money more efficiently this time.
