Really interested to see the difficulty change. Weird having a low diff change when all that juicy new gear comes out. Maybe a ton being retired and a lot going to centralized mining?

Don't really know for sure.

1550  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: October 16, 2015, 01:35:12 AM
My PC is rather slow, could anyone help me out finding a adress with"WaterBTC" in it, or WaterBtc, waterbtc, or something like that.

There are some details missing here.  You need to look into the split-key method for getting someone else to generate you a private key part which doesn't reveal to them the entire private key and which they can share with you in such a way that you can recombine it with your pubkey and private key part.  Basically, you'll need to do a few more steps in order to make sure that you can get a private key which no one else knows.

Or post a request for it on the website and put a generous bounty ^_^
1551  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining 109 blocks solved! on: October 15, 2015, 10:09:03 PM
Nice big fat transaction fee too of .31288248 BTC from 1786 transactions due to ckpool always using full blocks and currently there's a big transaction backlog.

It seems the donations to the pool from block solvers have stopped though Sad

Well if you rub good luck on my usb farm, I'll give you some btc Cheesy
1552  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: October 15, 2015, 10:06:21 PM
Develope a Bitcoin product, Altcoin, or start a mining company. We have a project starting which will be a collaboration of all of these and more aspects of Cryptocurrency and Technology such as Medical Technologies and Solar Technologies.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1204912.0

The day's of making a altcoin and making money are pretty much over unless you bring something new to table.  There were a lot of pump/dump coins that never went anywhere.

If you just change name and image of coin... there will be a few that mine it at launch but I don't see it getting on a decent exchange or holding much of a value.

There are too many altcoins nowadays. Almost every single one is pump and dump and gone.

If you really want to develop an altcoin use one that's out there, there are thousands of failed ones  Roll Eyes

1554  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin Stop Avoiding on: October 15, 2015, 03:43:26 AM
I attempted to address this with Alister directly but unfortunately I guess the believe to just ignore it was better.  My account is being blocked with a reason of SPAM?  Just because you don't like what I post in regards to the inaccurate cost associated with this game doesn't mean I'm a spammer or a troll or any other misrepresentation you attempt to place on me.  Perhaps you can also explain why I was charged power costs when the miner and power supply were not operating and powered off, or is that another item being used to punish me for pointing out the flaws with this game?  Stating that is supposed to be real world, seeing as you get the rewards of our cpu mining while giving use a mere pittance and justify it by stating that its for maintenance and power even though we are required to pay for the maintenance of our equipment separately from this and were being charged for power even when we don't utilize any apparently.  Don't say I'm a spammer and don't say this is a real world game especially when I can lease space in a data center for a cost of 30%.  Lets see, 0.00100803b mined, -0.00074355b maintenance and electricity costs from your real world game.  So tell me, which data center, in which non existent world is charging 75% and which fool is paying for it.  How about instead of ignoring my questions and blocking my questions so that others won't see what is occurring, you address them and stop attempting to deceive people?

Quote from:  MinerFarm Help Section
MinerFarm is a simulation game that you can experience Bitcoin mining...

Is there a maintenance and eletricity cost in the game?
Yes, for each block found, there is maintenance fee and electricity cost proportional to power consumption.

Every 24 Hours:
Electricity cost is calculated every 24 hours as follows: ([Average Watt in 24 hours] X 0.0000000003 BTC) X 24 hours
Maintenance fee is calculated every 24 hours as follows: (0.00000008 BTC X Total Ghs) X 24 hours

Why cannot see the blocks in the game in the blockchain?
Mining is virtual in the game. So blocks are virtual and do not appear in reality.

This is faucet built on a game from my understanding.

And this is a GAME.

Ok, I will find an escrow, but 1 btc deposit for the bids.

Changing your terms for your auction. Just a bit shady.

I would say your scam was burned on the very first post, requiring a deposit.

1558  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical Bitcoin Mints? on: October 13, 2015, 08:57:17 PM
I'm curious how someone would go about designing a coin and having them made. Are there places that online that offer this service?
Where do the people selling their physical coins get their made?

Silver Wallets uses: http://www.nwtmint.com/ Really you just need to have a nice sketch to get started out with making coins.

Also a great guide that I have read is how to make your own coin by bigtimespaghetti.

You should probably post pictures with a name and date. Just to verify that this is your item.
1560  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Oct 1 to Oct 14 picks are Closed. 2x bonus! + a surprise? on: October 13, 2015, 02:05:30 AM
and with only 378 blocks left we may be unable to go a lot over 1%

I really like the sound of that.  A 1 percent change considering it's a arms race going on with asics is really amazing.

Sometime though the rest of B1 S7 that did not ship will be made, and B2/3.   But I highly doubt they go out in 3 day's on batch 2/3 "Oct. 15 ~ 25 (if shipped out 10 days later than it, it won't be considered as delay ).".  But there is a wave coming with S7's.

Next adj will be nasty

Probably like something we haven't seen in a while.
