1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 06, 2020, 10:55:15 PM
Big games have have a chance of being rigged but I think it is more of a small scale, maybe players are involved in the rigging but the entire organization is unlikely. There is still a possibility that NBA will rig their games given their executives are hungry for money, remember when NBA apologized to China when one of their executives put a tweet that supports Hongkong during the protest. Given that they had kissed the ass of China means that they will do anything for money.

I would be wary of any games even if the probability of it being rigged is small, as there can always take on a different turn caused by people attraction to money. In that effect, I'm not surprised to see that NBA is getting on the list of rigged games. At the end of the day, there are people at the centre of each game and with that comes both opportunities and risks.

However, at the same time people also need to be made aware that others just like becoming the light of the show whereby they spread their own conspiracies until these take off and get implanted into other peoples heads, propagating what it once was just a 'theory'. That's to say that with the internet a lot of info can also be nothing but a bunch of false claims with little evidence backing it up. Just to provide the other side of the argument.

Of course, there's little weight to either side without proper hard evidence which btw I was not able to find (Google search) to support the NBA rigging  Huh
1542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Small dip in BTC price after Trump stimulus tweet on: October 06, 2020, 07:37:03 PM
Trump is such as an irresponsible guy, at least that's one way to describe him. The stuff he blurbs out and what he does are so immature, so unlike a leader and what frustrating most of all is that his reckless actions have all these other domino-effects on the rest of the economy. This comes in shape of both the traditional stocks and shares market and now as crypto as well.

There are just so many more consequences that this guy causes without taking any responsibility at all, because he's already a millionaire and he can say whatever  he wants without incurring any repercussions himself. The US political turmoil will no doubt continue to affect the markets. Here is an insight of some potential outcomes.

Only a few hours after and the Dice GiveAway has become more popular. I have not yet signed up, here, any good, and is this giveaway based on the highest roller or what?

1544  Economy / Gambling / Re: DuelBits |Instant BTC & ETH deposit & withdrawals | Live Games & Slots! Rakeback on: October 06, 2020, 04:25:24 PM
I do not see the really problem about this. Why should it be a problem to give personal details, if there is nothing to hide? For sure they will not share any information with others.
Most gamble sites do not publish the KYC on their site, and when you win much money they will always ask it as well. So then it is much better to state this KYC in the terms. Only good.
Only good thing is that they run this site with a valid license. We saw many unlicensed casino's the last time.

Its all about personal preferences obviously. In this case you think that it is not a big deal to do KYC but it is a big deal for some other users including me. There are still many people want to gamble anonymously especially in bitcoin/crypto gambling sites. I myself prefer not to send my personal details for my gambling activities so I will always look for gambling site with no KYC. In case of a big win, it depends on how big the win is because value is something subjective.

KYC and sharing of your customer details defies the purpose of crypto built casinos. Most people want to remain anonymous. There might be many reasons why people prefer to remain anonymous but with so much increased risk to malicious activity one can't be too prudent in maintaining their personal details secure, and anonymous. As for the wins, I agree what's called 'big win' is subjective and even in these circumstances you could get away with publishing the user's username and still keep personal details offline.
1545  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: October 05, 2020, 09:01:35 PM
A Bustabit user named “WangTang_V2” just made a MASSIVE 109 BTC bet (~$11,300,000 USD) with a successful cashout at 1.02x. The win paid the user 2.18 BTC (~$22,600 USD).

Tweet: https://twitter.com/gmblngsitefindr/status/1304646769096232961

Game Result: https://www.bustabit.com/game/3677040

This is the largest bet ever placed on BaB, correct?  Shocked

I would like to know whether he was able to successfully cash out those winning amount out of Bustabit ?

This win is just amazing and show how one can change his or her fortune from gambling.

There have been amounts withdrawn bigger than this..
This might have been the biggest bet, but there was alot of money withdrawn but alot of money lost also Cheesy

The bet is more impressive and like many of you already noticing there were some hefty losses too. And while I know people on here regard the casino quite reputable and trustworthy, one cannot eliminate the possibility of a bug or even a bot. As a way to increase visibility and attract more investors alike.  This is not the same as saying this is what it looks like but it simply posses the possibility.
1546  Economy / Gambling / Re: VerveCasino.com - New bitcoin/crypto casino - Free Spins for new members on: October 05, 2020, 04:46:17 PM
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Either the server is momentarily down or there's some underlying restriction.

Would have loved to try out your Poker game and a couple more games, specially since there are free spins.

Which often I'm in favour of, even if some people argue that it attracts the wrong crowd but I think it's essential for potential customers to try out what they'll be getting.
1547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: During The Last U.S Presidential Debate Bitcoin Price Was Only $630 on: October 05, 2020, 01:26:35 PM
$630 to $19,xxx is a meteoric rise for sure. If you told me that we’ll make even half that kind of rise from $10,000 then I will be one very happy guy. It’s been a while since the halving now, we should really begin to see upwards movement soon.

This upwards movement is what everybody has been talking about and how they expect BTC to moon to a new ALTH. Furthermore, the link between presidential elections and US to the stock market decline has already been made clear, to the point that even traditional news outlets covered it. I for one would like to think that this same correlation linkage isn't found between this political debate and cryptocurrency, and like most optimists that crypto will start recovering.

However, as I write this I find myself wondering what would really drive this upward trend? We know that a large movement somewhere needs to happen in order for the market to show another bull run, but the problem is that there isn't much on the horizon that might lead to this healthier recovery everybody is hoping for. Am I wrong?
1548  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: October 02, 2020, 09:38:24 PM
the biggest problem is maybe the one who hit that 5.8mil bets don't know about that, and there will be no winner if he doesn't posted on chat after he hit that

I suggest you to read this thread about the 5.8 million bet promo.
It is not the first time for crypto.games having this kind of milestone promotion and there is always a winner.
Even if the one who hit the milestone bet do not post on chat, it means that the reward will go to the next bet.
In this case the milestone is 5.8 million, in a case like what you say means that the reward will go to the one who hit 5,800,000,001
If the one who hit 5,800,000,001 do not post on chat as well then it will go to the next bet until there is a winner.

The argument that @panjul07 makes that there will be a winner even if the first few don't post in the chat makes sense in a way. The only issue with this is that without people knowing about it they wouldn't post and even if it goes to the nth person a winner might not be selected if there is a certain time limit to claim the prize. You can imagine that if the time restriction applies, then this contest loses its meaning or the players would be on it 24/7 checking if they're the winner or not. This is something that needs to be clarified further. I couldn't find any details myself, but if you do pls share.
1549  Economy / Services / Re: Best signature campaign Managers on: October 02, 2020, 09:03:15 PM
I suggest managing your own signature campaign. Why outsource it? It's simple enough, choose high quality applicants based on their posting history, merit history, reputation, and sections they usually post in...

After that, it takes around 1-2 minutes per person per week to check their posts and a few minutes more to initiative a batch transaction.

Be efficient and keep it in house and funnel that money back into your signature campaign to keep it running longer.

Managing the campaign for your own project is indeed saving your money. But checking the posts of your participants in 2 minutes per user. Really? If it's that simple, then everyone even me is able to be a manager. A good manager will check the thread of his participants posted on as well to make sure that the posts are contributive to the issue from OP and not repeating the same answer by previous posters. I don't think it could be done in 2 minutes. In the past there were several signature campaigns that running with bot only without manager. But nowadays the number of spammers are too damn high so mostly (if not all) managers have to check the posts manually.

Even if it takes longer than 2 minutes, it can't take more than 3-4 minutes even manually checking and scanning many of the threads.

With 20 participants, that's 1 hour to 1.33 hours tops, add in a little extra for the processing time, calculations, updating the spreadsheet etc, it's a 2 hour/week job.

I just think keeping it in-house will benefit the forum more than outsourcing it. Though I'm not sure how much signature managers charge, it might be cost-effective to have an expert handle it (e.g. if it's under ~$150/week)

Top 5 Bitcoin Casinos In The UK

1. William Hill – play with a name you recognise from the high street for maximum peace of mind.

2. Mansion Casino – one of the biggest online casino operations in the UK.

3. 22 Bet – partake in some Bitcoin-funded sportsbetting if you fancy a break from the casino.

4. Casino Joy – huge selection of games backed by a very solid setup.

5. NetBet.com – enjoy all forms of online gambling with Bitcoin here. One of the first Bitcoin casinos UK players could enjoy.
But yeah I think most platforms here are registered in Curacao.

When it comes to KYC, even those that are not registered in UK would require it if they need to in compliance with AML policy. They probably just do it less often than those UK based casinos.

There's a list of top crypto casinos here but like all other comments on here I'm not sure how much clarity on the subject this provides. There are certainly ones I never hear of from this new website, and it just makes you wonder that finding casinos with licences and regulations in a country like UK where the laws are more firm is very difficult.

Almost like these casinos find a small window and register in places like Curacao, while still having ties to some other country. The best advice I can give is to stick to casinos that have a good user base, reputation and has been running for a while. I just find transfer to new places a whole lot more difficult, when there are other options, probably less risky too, out there.

I'm a newly player of the SwC Poker I would like to know are all players if all the players are real or there are some bots? actually i'm new to poker sites like this mostly I play a video poker on online casinos.

This is what the site prides itself in (see screenshot below).
Source to this, is here, then got o FAQ.

Swc is a well known and reputable poker casino, and has been around for many years now. Should you decide to play on there I think it probbaly is safer than any other random poker sites.
1553  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Official resellers of hardware wallets. on: October 01, 2020, 10:26:14 PM
Contrary to what many people believe, most good hardware wallets can't be compromised even in the supply chain or with physical access to the device, and even if they did, they would usually need repeat access to the device to actually steal your money.

Even if you buy a used Ledger Nano S or X hardware wallet, you can simply reset the seed phrase several times to ensure that nobody loaded it with a known seed.

You could even keep it in a faraday cage if you think it might have some sort of tiny wireless transmitter installed and somebody has breached ledger's internal authenticity checks.
1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 01, 2020, 09:30:05 PM

Questions:
1. As a gambler, how do you gauge the legitimacy of a Curacao registered online casino or in other jurisdiction with zero or little regulation?

As a gambler I do rely a little on other players, and when looking at legitimacy if it comes from 'sketchy' countries then if it is a new casino
I wait until there're enough feedback before I decide to register or deposit.

Quote
2. Is it enough that they offer provably fair games?

I usually regard places with provably fair games more legit then others but again if this is coming from a less regulated country, this on its own won't be enough.
This is because the casino could still walk away with large amounts of money, having provably fair games doesn't prevent that.

Quote
3. If it's an "old" casino, you can check their reputation and reviews from players but what if it's new?
If new, I for sure won't be the guinea pig. There are too many casinos out there that I can use, there isn't a large incentive to try new ones out, specially if I'm not sure about their regulation etc.
[/quote]

Would it make any difference to you if they're registered in Malta or UK where regulations are said to be of the highest standards?
To me it does but again I won't solely rely on regulations, I'd still be careful. This is something others should take after also.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CFTC, Department of Justice file charges against BitMEX on: October 01, 2020, 08:22:51 PM
Yep and then we see USDT drop by 2% because complete idiots confused BitMEX with Bitfinex lol.

Imagine selling $1 for $0.98, with enough volume to crash one of the most liquid markets in the cryptocurrency industry. Absolute fools.

Well, they do say that fools and their money are easily parted.

Does anybody know how to actually profit on these USDT dumps? I've checked most stablecoin:USDT pairings and have founded that they're never actually 2% apart.

Is it just fiat USD:USDT that see the 2% dip?
1556  Economy / Gambling / Re: SkirmishBet: provably-fair turn-based strategy 😳😳😳 on: October 01, 2020, 07:56:58 PM
I liked the "retro" style of the site, maybe because I'm from the 80s and played a lot of Atari console when I was a kid Cheesy
I already got my faucet, now I need to find some time to explore the games.

I agree, the website is looking solid and it has interesting features on it. I even attempted playing without registering which was something. I think if this site is to be advertised properly it could get very popular, very quickly.

The idea around it is to level up while training. It's a perfect place to relax for a few mins. I still am to try out most of the games, but so far looks interesting! Good work.
1557  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ 0.8% House Edge on Dice ⭐ Largest wagering contest...ever ⭐ on: October 01, 2020, 06:07:03 PM
Glad to see altcoins like Dash getting some love among the high rollers. I think too few people realize that cryptocurrencies like Dash and Litecoin have much lower TX fees than Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Always nice to avoid paying $3-$4 in TX fees before even playing!

Congrats to Bruno on an epic run!
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: French police arrest terror financing ring that used Bitcoin coupons on: October 01, 2020, 04:12:35 PM
I'm not saying that the media is wrong but if you look at the facts as presented you'd at least wonder how 10-15 euros going to support such a large network. Even if they do it everyday, surely that's not enough  Huh

The fact that if such an organisation had this described terrorist role and use cryptocurrency to achieve that should not be surprising. Crypto has long been criticised for its identify protection of its users, it is not surprising that people who are involved in wrongdoing adapt to new ways...

One can only hope that this type of argument isn't going to be used insensibly when negotiating regulation around BTC and crypto. As this isn't going to deter people from doing it, they'll just use a different alternative.

1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Mark Magsayo vs Rigoberto Hermosillo on Oct 3 on: September 30, 2020, 10:28:21 PM
Rigoberto Hermosillo is going to get stopped in four.

He's a bottom-feeder and I don't know why he's even in there with Magsayo. Nobody is interested in watching fights where the winner is obvious, even the bookies have Magsayo winning with near absolute certainty.

I'm not interested in watching boxing for the sake of boxing. We want to see actual competitive fights where something is on the line—whether that be a world championship belt, someones 0, or an impressive knockout streak.

Scrap the fight.
1560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: September 30, 2020, 09:20:50 PM
I've got my main private key encrypted and split across three metal wallets. Only I know the cipher and the order to unlock it.

I have three cryptosteels that I got free from BRD wallet, and I use them to store my private key.

Realistically it's probably a bit overkill, but I got them for free and couldn't resell them (I tried) so I just kept them.

I think you might be served well by just buying a laser etched piece of card from one the myriad places that do laser etching. You could encrypt it first and store the cipher on the card too.
