1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 24, 2022, 07:06:39 PM
Nothing depends on United as Rashford's contract ends in the summer of 2023 and he can leave for free. Now they are in the most difficult situation - they either have to offer better financial terms than PSG (and thus suffer financially since it is very expensive to compete with PSG in terms of money) or let Rashford go for free. Both decisions look like a big loss.
You are right, that Rashford contract which expires next summer is PSG's opportunity, on the other hand, PSG actually already has a much more stable player. I think Manchester United will inevitably release young players who have shone in the World Cup. Although later there will definitely be many clubs trying to offer the best place for Rashford. PSG has sufficient finances, but Rashford position will not be as free as where he was when he played at Manchester United. Surely it will share a place like being a second-tier alternative player for PSG.
Marcus Rashford is very young, and he is the talented player which mean things are in his way for having good future here in Manchester United because most chances if he is going to join PSG then he could be going to stay at tier 2 which is surely never been ideal situation for the player like him with his current form hopefully Manchester United will be able to extend his contract and he will be able to give his best in future as well.

PSG is having amazing finances and quality players which is good for them but not for any player like Rashford quality because he deserves better playing time for increasing his skills and experience which will help him in rest of his playing career and this all is just possible with the stay here at Manchester United.
1562  Economy / Economics / Re: Have Satoshi dream failed? on: December 23, 2022, 05:01:33 PM
Failure or success will depend on individual thought process, I agree. Again I feel what Satoshi has developed is still being worked on and developed further - this shows that he has been successful in my opinion.

There will always be naysayers but looking at the big picture, I feel we have been pretty successful.

Government and their approach to bitcoin might be different but the point is that the use of Bitcoin has increased gradually aside from the trading of Bitcoin.
I agree with you, there is no right or wrong answer, it's up to what each individual thinks. Many argue that it has failed because it cannot become a currency or is not peer-to-peer but is becoming more centralized on centralized exchanges. But to me, bitcoin has succeeded, Satoshi was right when he created bitcoin, bitcoin is opening up many opportunities for us to help many people become financially free, and own their assets without any 3rd party. Bitcoin is not perfect, but it succeeds because it has helped so many people change their lives.
I think there is a wrong answer in here and that is when they say that satoshi's dream have failed but the truth is that his dreams have actually succeeded. If it was a failure then there will be no BTCs up to this date. BTC is a currency, and that is why it is called a crypto-currency so I don't know why some can say that BTC can't become a currency.

Maybe they can say that because they think many people treats their BTC as an asset and they hold or trade it instead of using it for payment purposes or for shopping. That might be true but the point is that BTC is still a currency and there are still a few portion of people who use their BTC the way it was meant to be.
1563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Price Drop - How are Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Responding? on: December 23, 2022, 04:32:23 PM
Small bitcoin holders are in no hurry to part with it, hoping that the market will turn around as before and they will have a good opportunity to sell and get a big profit. But the market doesn't work that way. We will not see further growth of bitcoin until such small holders sell it. Accordingly, we should expect at least another strong decline in prices.
To be part of what? If it's about selling off then I think small BTC hodlers are always itchy doing that. They can sell at a much earlier time than those who are big bitcoin holders. The market can always turn around or the bears will end and will be replace by a bull run because this is how it works, this is why many people are buying coins right now and then hodling it strong. They will only sell it when the bull run arrives to earn a massive profit.

As a said earlier, small hodlers can sell early but it can't affect the price heavily since I believe that majority here are now a big hodler and they won't sell until the perfect time came. Strong declines have already occurred many times so I think we will hardly see one anymore.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 23, 2022, 09:20:43 AM
6th time this guy got out in the nervous 90s. Should have at least 11 test tons by now in just 33 matches. Poor guy
Yeah, Rishabh Pant got out which means now India now may get all out in another 120 to 150 runs. So, hardly they may put 400+ runs on board which may give them around 200 runs lead. We can expect some good resistance from Bangladesh in their second innings hence I foresee the chances of draw outcome from this match. I know it will be purely subjective to how India bowlers perform in the second innings.

Now, it's time for Shreyas Iyer to hit a ton.  I guess he may hold his nerves unlike Rishabh Pant to entertain us. Let's wait and watch how this second day will end up.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Paxful delisted ETH? on: December 22, 2022, 11:04:01 AM
I guess just like the rest of us who criticized the ETH moved from POW->POS.

It means that integrity of the network could be controlled by few, hence it's going to be centralized. And we don't like this and probably what the CEO of Paxful as well for delisting ETH.

Or it could that the CEO of Paxful has issues with CZ that we don't know of, so even if there is revenue as he said, it doesn't matter for him.
I wonder if other exchanges will follow Paxful lead let's admit there are still many exchanges that are loyal to Ethereum but because of this move there could be a change of direction we hate centralization after what happened to FTX and we have seen the risk of centralization, we'll see the impact in the market in the coming weeks and let's see if there will be next exchange to delist Eth, this move if it's going to have a domino effect against Ethereum will have a bad an effect on its position in the industry.
Even if ETH became more centralized now, I still don't think that it will be delisted by some exchanges because this coin is too big for it to happen. This was like a Bitcoin but only in the Altcoin category. Delisting it will scare more people not just the ETH supporters.

I am sure we don't want that to happen. The FTX case was different. They did things which are too inappropriate already and karma got them but for ETH, I think they are still doing great despite of some controversy. By the way I check Paxful and I see that there is still ETH on their list and then there's also Stable Coins. I thought they only support Decentralized coins? HHmm.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 21, 2022, 06:22:41 PM
The popularity of women's cricket has increased tremendously. Women's cricket can also create a lot of excitement these days. However, India is in the leading position in men's cricket, but lags behind in women's cricket. However, there is no dearth of their interest and enthusiasm. India and Australia women's cricket series however suffered a major defeat for India. But they have also learned a lot from this series. Overall I think women's cricket has improved a lot. Australia Women's team in particular deserves praise for the devastating performance they gave after the fall of the 4th wicket yesterday against India. I have never seen such a batting performance in women's cricket before.
Technology doing amazing stuff for this all so with this now we can generate big amounts and games can take good advantage of this all because right now mostly peoples love to watch at home or having different platforms which are surely increasing day by day and media rights are also having their impact on games as well so for me this is surely one of the best opportunity for the BCCI to have started this and try even they can face few issues in first two or three years, but surely they will be turned into positive after this period but for this surely they have taken bold decisions and bring this idea into reality because if they are not going with positive mindset and have into immediate decisions then surely this could be another big below for them in near future.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: December 21, 2022, 12:36:54 PM
On the ground of casinos, I insist, there is nothing like strategy, a gambling approach that works will only work on luck. I believe that strategy should be able to give arguably results that are consistent, but this is not possible in gambling, people are only relying on luck. I wanted to believe in gambling strategies before, but I realize that people are only calling it strategy because they believe it's so, but it's not.

People only gamble with what they believe, and it works at times but will fail most times. You can let me know a true gambling strategy though, maybe this would change my mind.
There is actually. What about those martingale? And others which I forgot the term for now. Even the casinos themselves put those and termed them as strategies. Budgeting, knowing when to stop, and switching games are also part of the strategy as far as I know.

Those who don't use a strategy and are only playing the game the random way, then they are the people who mostly rely on their luck. If there is a true strategy, I mean those who have a high winning rate, don't think that someone will tell it for you. It took them ages and it costed them a lot of money, only to figure this out, so they will likely treasure it on their own. Even if someone offered to buy it, I don't think they will agree.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 20, 2022, 07:40:40 PM
You guys do know that there are ATMS in those big casinos right? Like if you ever end up winning a lot, you could put your money into the bank, hell even casinos do wire it to your account as well if you want. Obviously there are some people who may prefer cash and they do have that security issue, but they accept that risk, if you do not want to do that then you could just put it on your bank account and move on.

My spouse's cousin lives in a legal casino zone and he gambles time to time and he just puts the chips into this machine, and the machine sends it to his bank account, simple as that. I can't believe you think EVERYONE takes their winnings in cash Cheesy. That's not the case at all. Only the ones who want cash gets it.
Yeah, I didn't know that there are ATMs on some casinos but I think this can do more harm than good because there's a tendency that a gambler will just keep on withdrawing their money on that ATM. This could be the reason why ATMs on most casinos are rare to find.

Anyway, ATMs are different from a bank. You can't directly deposit your money in the ATM but you can only withdraw money there. If you want to deposit your money then you will need to go in the actual bank but if the casino can automatically do it for you then that was great. You will now feel safer when you go home, knowing that you are not carrying any hard cash with you.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters, how much you really earned in the last two years? on: December 20, 2022, 02:35:24 PM
Right now bounty programs are not that worth it since a lot of fake accounts join in and low rewards compare to years ago, Also many new projects end up scams when their bounty program ends so we got trash tokens from the project. For the last two years I have collected more than 150+ trash tokens. Well, since the bounty program only fills my spare time besides my real work then it's not a big deal.
I saw on the forum today that 120,000 fraudulent tokens have been issued this year. I wonder how many of them tried to advertise here on our forum? I think it's a sufficient number. The market has become very crowded with all sorts of garbage, and more often than not, such garbage is tried to advertise through the most accessible ways. The form of bounty that is common on this forum is just right for such cheap and quick distribution.
120k? Hory Sh8t that's a lot. We obviously don't need much of that tokens but we already have most of our need in the existing tokens that we see today. The numbers grow so fast because those devs didn't think hard anymore but they just plagiarize other projects and do a little modification in the code, name and some details.

Some bounty hunters in our forum said that the numbers of bounties are declining, I think that tells that only a few percent of that 120k tokens are being promoted in the forum. They know that they will get busted here easily because we have a lot of scam busters here. I bet most of those have landed in telegram and in twitter since they are less regulated there.
1570  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Speculated] Barry Silbert dump on: December 19, 2022, 05:09:51 PM
If he dumped bitcoin, we can buy it on cheaper price.
If he doesn't dump bitcoin, we just need to wait and see.
Whats the problem on here?
Just to create FUD and Panic, we can always buy Bitcoin and yes this is the good opportunity to accumulate. Dumping their Bitcoin doesn’t mean Bitcoin is not good anymore, its just the current trend and I’m pretty sure they will but back once we hit the bottom, its more on a price manipulation for me.
Maybe it is because it is said that there are no legit sources that tells he really did it and I don't think the goal of the op here is to spread this FUD as well, but he was only curious and wants a helping hand to confirm things out. This is informative for those who are not updated on the crypto happenings. I mean this can be their guide to know the truth and won't be mislead by the FUD's happening outside. In case this, was true then there is nothing wrong with it.

Each of us invests on BTC for the reason that we need a profit and they sell because they in need of cash right now. This shouldn't give us a negative thought thinking BTC is turning bad, now that BTC pioneers are selling it.
1571  Economy / Speculation / Re: ELON sold his TSLA stock for $3.5billion. Will he re-buy BTC soon? on: December 19, 2022, 02:31:41 PM
If the recession is really coming he's going to need some money to keep the factories running.
Maybe he's expecting his car sales to go down? Maybe he wants to invest more in his social media empire because I heard many people are leaving twitter because they don't want to work under Musk.
Musk was supposed to start a green bitcoin mining business but since BTC went into bear market we don't hear much about this idea anymore.

As for his dogecoin investment, I couldn't care less.
That is what everyone is saying that there might be a recession that will happen next year. True or not, it is always better to prepare for it. I think that is one of the reasons on why Elon musk sold some of his stocks but I don't think he will buy a Bitcoin. He don't like BTC anymore remember?

But, doge coin maybe though I don't think the quantity will be huge. He knows that doge coin is only just a meme coin and not something that can be considered as a safe haven when recession comes. About Twitter, those who leave are only the ex-employees but existing Twitter users are still there. Twitter is too useful for them to abandon it.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your alt bags on: December 19, 2022, 08:49:02 AM
I'm still trying to buy more for those coins that have a chance to increase again. Hopefully, some altcoins can improve so I can be as profitable again as before. Now I still want to collect more bitcoins because they are still at a reasonable price for me.
When are confident about the technology and business behind some altcoin and that altcoin is falling down, we do not have any other option except buying more to average to get better benefits in long run. Investing into bitcoin at this bottom of bearish market must be a wise decision on my opinion; I appreciate that but for buying altcoin at bottom prices needs lots of cautious. So, diversifying your altcoin bag will help among these highly unpredictable altcoins.

going to DCA but right now I want to see the next month in January. Maybe we can see another bottom in Q1 2023 but no one knows or right now is the bottom for all cryptocurrencies.
Once you decided about DCA then you may go investing for 10% of your capital each week till the end of first quarter of 2023. DCA is a weapon to help you for NOT missing out bottom. No one could invest their all 100% capital at exact bottom but everyone can catch bottom for some of their capital through DCA.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 19, 2022, 06:50:02 AM
Pakistan's batting in this match was much better than the previous two matches. Even then they are 50 runs behind England. Pakistan team was defeated in the first two matches. They will definitely want to win this match. But it is difficult to beat an experienced team like England. If Pakistan can't muster more than 450 in their second innings then I don't think they have a chance to win.
Now after losing two matches they are doing good job in this test match and after end of second day play they are trailing by 29 runs with 10 wickets in hand but right now Pakistan have lost 3 wickets before reaching 100 runs in their second innings. This is because Pakistani batting is never been predictable as they can lose wickets very quickly on any pitch as we watch in first test match they lost this match on flat wicket which is surely dilemma for them but now in Karachi we have another entertaining match between these two teams and after this we are going to have another SENA team in Pakistan New Zealand which is going to play their first match on December 26.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: December 18, 2022, 10:10:16 PM
Arsenal are superior in the Europa League competition this season. they have proven their quality in every match that has been played. Even though there is still a long way to go, football experts may have made their choice for Arsenal this season, judging by the quality they have. the challengers who came down from the champions league like barcelona, juventus still can't be sure they will reap the easy way in the upcoming matches. because for barcelona they will face a tough opponent in the next game.

the europa league is often a surprise in the round of 16, especially the non-seeded teams that are targeting the champions will play better than what was expected so big teams of course cannot underestimate the opponents they will face.
No doubt about Arsenal as they are doing good job for the double in this season and currently performance and quality both are in their favour but now after having few teams from Champions League things are looking change because we can expect few teams will fight for the title even their domestic titles will be priority but still these are not easy games for them Arsenal are having good start in both competitions and their strategy is also giving them good results, but now we have to wait for the matches of qualifying round which is going to play before knockout stage Barcelona vs Manchester United is surely going to be one of the toughest match for the teams even here Barcelona is going to be favourite with their performance into La Liga before break.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 18, 2022, 08:53:31 PM
Is there any fighting game like Mortal Kombat where you challenge gamers around the world taking a bet? I don't want to take bet on Mike Tyson or Joshua I want gaming by one self, I believe this is less dependant on Luck, this requires more skill than mere luck.
Actually I have been also looking for Player vs Player platforms especially for skill based games instead of luck because those are same as playing against the house. There are sites where you can play chess and I have actually played paid chess and a few other skill based games like we had a 5v5 MLBB (Mobile Legends) where the loser would pay the winner.

The biggest problem or let's say challenge I faced during such tournaments was the fairness of the game. At times when I was playing chess against my opponents I felt like they are using some software to automate their moves or basically using a computer to beat me because it's impossible to make moves in the quick period of time as they were making. So the biggest challenge is ensuring the fairness and integrity of the games & players.

Remind me what CFD stands for again because theres a multitude of acronyms across the whole finance spectrum its easy to mix them up.

Quote
i believe messi et al will get the world cup this year after a long fast, i don't think france will have the chance to win the world cup in a row,
France consistently getting to the top might be a clue, I would guess Argentina has the greater impetus but that doesn't mean they achieve it.  Consistency is always where I will lean and place my bet, if I can decide which side has been the most solid in their performance and defence not just the peaks but correcting themselves during play I would have to go with them as most likely winner.
There is also a point of what the odds are when I am gambling over who I think will win. France looks like they could possibly be the winners, but I see odds for Argentina to be a lot better in my mind, I see them as deserving of that much chance and that is why I wagered on them, even though I believed France could win.

France has a weaker defence, which means Messi could dissect that team and end up winning, sure France also has a better attack too, so it could be a game with plenty of goals if all goes like it has been so far. In a perfect world we would watch both messi and mbappe both having a hattrick, and whoever has another teammate scoring would win it, that would be fun to watch.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 17, 2022, 09:19:10 PM
It is a friendly game of course but it is nice for Juventus players to gain some match fitness after a long time. Because not all of their players have been playing in the World Cup in the end. They need to play as many friendlies as possible to be ready for their upcoming league games. They have been on rise in the Serie A and they need to work hard to keep this level.

There is still a long time until the Europa League of course. Meanwhile maybe we can see some new transfers from them in January.
In this friendly match most of the play were enjoying by Arsenal players with ball possession and all other aspects of the game were under their control but still Juventus able to win this match by the help of two own goals even both teams were playing with their mostly reserve players but good practice for the both clubs as now we are heading for the next club game in English Premier League on 26 December and Serie A is going to start after 17 days which is the long time because of Winter vacations in few countries and Europa League is also having very long time which is also now important for the both clubs because both are looking for the success into this event as well specially Arsenal which is looking for the double and Juventus is having big setback after dropping out from Champions League.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 17, 2022, 08:08:02 PM
Comparing Messi with Mbappé is not a fair comparison in my opinion. Both of them have very different play styles. Both of them are also very different in terms of their age.

Lionel Messi has achieved almost everything in his career except for the World Cup.

On the other hand, Mbappe has achieved the World Cup, but not many other things yet.

Mbappe still has a lot to achieve. But if Lionel Messi just ends his career right now, it is not going to make much of a difference for him. We can say that Messi is very interested in the World Cup. He is not that much interested in club performance anymore. But that is not the case with Mbappe.
I agreed about this all here because completely different environment with different style of play and Messi is surely already achieve too many things in his career with Mbappé is living only with world cup, but he needs to do much more for having name like Messi with most chances tomorrow we will have Messi will take another achievement with world cup win.

If Mbappé wants to achieve rank like Messi and Ronaldo then surely he needs to change his attitude and things in play as well which is never been helpful for him most of the time he plays like selfish player which is not acceptable for legendary players, but a long career is waiting for him in coming years hopeful things will be changed, and he will be able to have best for his future which he deserves.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 17, 2022, 07:08:47 PM
Bitcoin, because there's no crypto project can overtake Bitcoin hype, right now Bitcoin still on top 1 position with the highest marketcap and dominance, this is a proof if those shit project like POS, ICO, IDO, IEO, NFT, P2E, DEFI, CEFI, Metaverse etc are worthless and failed project.

I don't care if there's a hype about a new project that I haven't mentioned above, because it's just a matter of name while the projects doesn't have any utility or real case.
In deed, Bitcoin will lead the next bull run as it always does but there are some other layer2 projects like Arbitrum, Optimism and Zksync, these projects have grown so big during the past one year( their ecosystem has huge number of protocols), optimism has already issued its governance token while others will do so in coming months , they will certainly outperform when market starts getting better.
The OP didn't mean about the bull run but what he mean if what will be the new thing or addition in crypto like for example we had NFT's last time. I can't think of anything right now because almost all the ideas are already given but that was better so that scammers won't have an idea to follow it and create their own scam projects.

If not scam those new things are only in for the hype which still falls in the same category because once the hype dies down, the price of these projects falls and then won't recover anymore which can result for a loss of the investors. This won't happen if we will only invest in the classical crypto coins like BTC.

With the position Bangladesh is in right now, only weather can help them, either way i did not expect Bangladesh to play out the entire day tonight but the openers played an incredible fightback with a century partnership but the rest of the batsman were struggling and at one point i was thinking whether the pitch became flat with the way the openers were batting Cheesy.
With the end of fourth day play now things looking easy for the Indian team because they have enough time to bowled out last four tail enders on this pitch with Shakib and Mehdi both are looking for the long partnership which is never been easy on fifth day play in test match and 241 is also big target even they have done good job after trailing in first inning by big margin 35 years old Shakib who is playing his 64th test match for the Bangladesh is having 40 runs even now most chances they will lose by big margin, but his inning is still good for himself and team because he can cut margin even defeat is defeat, but this could be help them for having better chance into next test match which is also coming in next few days.
