1562  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [FRAUD] LEOcoin scam making demonstrably fraudulent claims to con general public on: November 02, 2016, 09:17:40 PM
Geez,

Didn't knew this deserves investigation to prove its a scam. LEO and OneCoin has 1 thing in common: they are both BS.

They have a little more than that in common.

If we go back to this

Quote
Dan Andersson Scam Accusations Are Baseless

If you are one of those people that love “making money from home opportunities”, then you have probably read online about the Dan Andersson scam with Sitetalk/Unaico, where the company supposedly bilked millions of dollars from people in multiple countries. Sitetalk operated under Unaico, which is a company that Dan Andersson was the former president of, but he certainly did not have a part in wrongfully taking people’s money.

and the Unaico scam, Andersson basically did the "It wasn't me, it was those other boys!", pointing in the direction of a certain Sebastian Greenwood, one of the most loathsome MLMer's about (and that's saying something).
Greenwood went on from Unaico to hook up with The CryptoQueen in the abortive Bigcoin saga, before getting Onecoin up and running (and screwing Ignatova).

Obviously Andersson and Greenwood decided, probably thru chatting on SitetalkR, that inventing some shitcoin and then promoting the fuck out of it to Joe Public thru an MLM program was the way to go.
So Greenwood ends up in Onecoin, and Andersson in Leocoin. Both pretending to "educate" in exchange for money, but really offering untold riches, yours for the taking if you just buy the fucking coins.
(And to tidy up the loose ends, Onecoin have just bought out Sitetalk's affiliate list.)

Other similarities between Onecoin and Leocoin?
The illusion that they are constructing some sort of all inclusive "ecosystem" for their victims "family" of investors, taking care of all their needs

is something they both push very heavily, because that's one of the central tenets of MLM sucker retention, to make it a Faith/Fear situation. Turn it into a Cult.

1563  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [FRAUD] LEOcoin scam making demonstrably fraudulent claims to con general public on: November 01, 2016, 06:47:46 PM
Hi Gleb

I originally lifted that cheque (check) from some Filipino woman affiliate's FaceBook page. The absurdity of it, not least the idea that LEO are sitting there writing and posting checks to pay people, rather appealed to me.
Learning Enterprises Organisation UK ltd. are ( not surprisingly) based in the UK and would presumably use a UK bank. On UK cheques, the first group of numbers are the cheque number, the second the bank's sort code and the third the account's number.
There are, as ever, many scams deserving of your attention.
Flavor of the Month is coins with MLM schemes attached like Leo, e.g. Capri, Swiss, Das and others.
Have fun.
1564  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Zarfund Link Rotator LAUNCHED !!! - zarfundrotator.com on: October 31, 2016, 05:34:31 PM
Zarfund is NOT a scam

Bullshit.
The only money coming into Zarfund is new investors, it does no business and generates no income.
As soon as that stops, which it will very soon, the whole thing collapses.
1565  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Zarfund Link Rotator LAUNCHED !!! - zarfundrotator.com on: October 31, 2016, 12:34:21 PM
Bought account pimping a cash gifting referral scam.

1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash-Miner.com is offering 3 months contract on: October 28, 2016, 08:40:54 PM
Is not it better to mine than buying at current price?

It may well be, whether or not thru a link pimped by a newly re-energized account for a new "miner" sharing an address with foreign Embassies in Azerbaijan, is another matter.
1567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Biggest Shitcoin of them All on: October 28, 2016, 08:22:24 PM
Quote
People in the habit of using their brain often laugh at poorly specified, horrendously designed, shoddily implemented altcoins, and for good reason - there's apparently no shortage of these end products of an ambitious process which included no thinking whatsoever.
Credit cards are perhaps the most egregious example of them all.

A credit card is a paper wallet which may contain one single address. The address is composed of 16 numeric digits, which are usually formatted with three dashes, and it is secured by a "secret" private key which is... four digits long. To further securitize this secure security, a three digit super-key is printed on the back of the paper wallet in question, and that's it, you're good to go!
How is this abomination to be used in practice ?
Oh, that's simple - just like its users. For instance you can walk up to a machine, stick your paper wallet into it, and then type the private key. Yeah, that's right, you type your private key into a big box you don't own, nor control in any way, and can't inspect. What protects you from the owner of the machine selectively scamming ?
A shoddy, slow, bug ridden, unauditable, ad-hoc reimplementation of the common WoT.
And if the operator decides to charge your card twice, or fifty billiard times, the best you can do is call an Indian. They'll be thrilled to listen and eagerly try to help! Have you tried rebooting your credit card wallet sir ?

1568  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who is Responsible for my Loss? (Poloniex Reputation) on: October 28, 2016, 01:38:45 AM
I had a vaguely similar situation, not in crypto but in fiat, when trading derivatives.
The platform froze for some minutes due to their tech problem/overload and I was unable to close a position in profit.
I got on their ass and they compensated me the difference, with no acceptance of liability, an ex gratia payment.
This was a large public company tho, not a half assed probably going to disappear soon dynamic crypto exchange.

Tl dr: they have no obligation to you what so ever.
1569  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MINEX.IO (beta) - BLOCKCHAIN PROJECTS AGGREGATOR (THE GAME) on: October 27, 2016, 09:34:21 PM

Not to go too far off topic but

Im not sure that One Coin is a classical scam. It is pure MLM with bad product.

I am. Pure MLM with bad product is a scam, classical or not.

Quote
OneCoiners just don't understand what they are doing, but for sure - they have great sales, and they are making great job for the blockchain adoption among simple people.

There is no Onecoin blockchain. How can it be adopted?

Quote
For example all articles about One Coin on CoinTelegraph and other media are visited by huge amount of people, that care, how it works and what is Blockchain. They brought in there MLM more than 2.5 millions of simple people.

Nowhere near 2.5 million in the real world, but these "simple people" are going to end up with a very negative impression of anything blockchain or cryptocurrency related when they find out their money has gone.

Quote
Im sure, more than 10millions heard something about OneCoin and a good portion of them opened bitcoin wallets after this.

It would be interesting to see any research to back that up. The majority of grass roots Onecoiners I have studied have bought the line that Bitcoin is being "killed" by Onecoin.

Quote
Yes, people, involved in OneCoin don't have any clue what is Cryptocurrency, and they are thinking that they are doing something great.

In the 17th Century, people who bought tonnes of tulip bulbs presumably thought the same. And cloudminers.

Quote
We also think, that we are doing something great, but we 100% understand what is blockchain, and how to discover its potential.
All the decisions in Minex.io are made by all holders of the CloudPack. This is why we are more like a DAO, but more secure, than the famous one.

As I said before, you guys seem to be knowledgeable and motivated.
What your motivation is, is still unclear.
1570  Other / Meta / Re: Can i post info about a Matrix program here on this forum. Please tell me? on: October 27, 2016, 04:05:53 PM
Expect to get a negative trust score if you do post it.
Doesn't mean jack, trust me.I don't even know how negative tagging really helps since the forum itself "encourages" having a separate section for it.

What the forum allows or doesn't allow has nothing to do with individual trust ratings.
Most MLM scam links (and most MLM's are scams) are posted by newbie drive by accounts. Red trust wrecks any credibility they may have here and most fuck off somewhere else.
1571  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [FRAUD] LEOcoin scam making demonstrably fraudulent claims to con general public on: October 27, 2016, 03:22:08 PM

Payment #223 ? of $26,795 pounds ?

Lecoin coin + Lion ? ..zodiac symbol ? Learning Enterprises Organization LLC ?

hmmm so what are we "learning" ?  Cheesy

That they REALLY like that logo ?

www.leocoinfoundation.org/img/members/LEOlogo.png

Hmm members ?

Check out the check number..... Cheesy

#01234567, don't get many of them.

Notice how it says Amway etc and in the lower right corner is a Lion head ?
Notice how it matches the Lion head background on that Facebook picture of a check for $26,000 ?

So guys were debating earlier if there was links to Amway etc (which would be a bad thing)
Well.. you can see them with your own eyes Wink

That's not a 'link' to or 'associations' with Amway per se, that's just a sponsors board for some shitty MLM love-in.
1572  Other / Meta / Re: Can i post info about a Matrix program here on this forum. Please tell me? on: October 27, 2016, 02:01:19 PM
Can i post info about a Matrix program here on this forum. Please tell me?

You can post what you like mate, what happens after is anyone's guess.
You use the word "Matrix" to mean Pyramid Scheme I suppose?
The MLM Industry doesn't like the negative connotations of "Pyramid Scheme" so they came up with "Matrix".
A bit like the Ponzi industry uses 'HYIP'.

Looking forward to your post.

I don't share your derogatory opinion about people who stockpile food and items for personal security to be prepared for failures of the supply chain. Portraying these people as "tinfoil hats" tells a lot about you and your level of knowledge.

Get the stick outta your ass, it was a little joke.
1574  Other / Meta / Re: Why was my post deleted on: October 27, 2016, 11:48:13 AM
so all the other ones which are which are for sale they are ok even though they are hacked which ive bought on a previous account?

If you want answer instead of a guess, I suggest you wait till a mod posts.
Omega is a very helpful poster (nothing to do with his being in a sig campaign, I'm sure) but not in authority.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CredaCash - completely private transactions in 5 seconds on: October 27, 2016, 09:38:48 AM
2 billion or 20 billion?

Why not make it 200 billion, you'll be even bigger than Onecoin then  Cheesy

I'm still fascinated by your sole named developer

Quote
Allen Pulsifer, BA Dartmouth College; MS Columbia University; many years experience developing complex backend and embedded software systems.

This is him

Sorry about the black and white photo, Professor Pulsifer is so old that he's pre color...

Obviously a highly intelligent man to get a BA in Chemical Engineering and teach Mechanical Engineering at Uni, way back in 1970, so I guess he would have been about 40 then, that's pretty young for a teaching professor in university in those days.

The thing I find truly remarkable about Dr. Pulsifer is that now, at the age of 85ish he's developing highly complex software systems in a complete change of career directions.
Truly remarkable, indeed one might also use the word "unbelievable".

Lol
Crecacash false?  Shocked Shocked

They refuse to talk about him, despite bringing his name up in the first place.

So you don't think that verification of your own claims as to the provenance of the sole named member of your dev team are relevant to the credibility of the currency?

The technology speaks for itself, end of story.

Maybe it's his grandson or something, went to the same college as grandad..............................or something.
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks plan to hoard bitcoins to pay cyber ransoms on: October 27, 2016, 09:23:01 AM

I love the use of the word "hoarding", it reminds me of tinfoil hats with their cans of beans and shotgun ammo waiting for Armageddon.
Or the way people rush off to the supermarket and buy trolley loads of sugar when there's a powercut.

Banks "hoarding" Bitcoin implies some delegated suit with the keys to a cash box full of the dirty stuff marked "ONLY TO BE OPENED IN THE EVENT OF BLACKMAIL."
 Cheesy
1577  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: "It's not a scam, it's a Ponzi." on: October 27, 2016, 09:06:43 AM

Sure, you know that and I know that.
I remember years ago, travelling exotic places, I needed some local currency and asked a normal looking guy in a cafe where was best. His mate turned up and I was nearly going to hand over some cash when the waiter in the background caught my eye and shook his head. I made my excuses and found a proper exchanger.
The point is, there's no downside to helping people who are naive or new in town to avoid being scammed. Bitcoin needs all the friends it can get and there are a lot of kids about who don't know their ass from their elbow.
To see them thru the first contact with the bitcoin environment (with all the hype about "To Da Moon" in the background) isn't committing yourself to wiping their asses for the rest of their lives or making them dependent, it's just The Right Thing to Dotm.
1578  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: "It's not a scam, it's a Ponzi." on: October 27, 2016, 08:06:40 AM
Well, yeah the obvious ones are obvious, obviously, but that's false comfort.

Just like you learn not to buy a $20k watch for $500 if it has "ROLLEX" on the face, it doesn't mean that all $500 watches with "ROLEX" on them are real.
Yeah of course people should take responsibility for their own actions, but it's a positive aspect of human interaction to warn others of danger, just like it's a negative one to try and take advantage of the naive.

I don't really get the point of what you're trying to say.
I would certainly disagree if you're implying that these Ponzi "Games" are in any way legit or 'fair' forms of gambling. They never will be more than a potential scam until they can show that the earlier positions (which get paid out) don't actually belong to the admin. I can't see anyway that can be done.
I also disagree that there's a large unmet demand for these "games". Anyone want to 'play' them can just fuck off to the Russian HYIP forums, there's thousands to choose from.
1579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks plan to hoard bitcoins to pay cyber ransoms on: October 27, 2016, 07:37:10 AM
Do we have any confirmed information that some bank actually paid the ransom already?

I haven't found any, but I guess it's not the sort of thing they'd shout about due to the "Payers List" scenario
