1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: September 04, 2022, 06:38:39 AM
I appreciate this idea, but creating such global self-exclusion system would be close to impossible.
Hundreds of online casinos would refuse to join such self-exclusion system, because they want to milk their players, who are addicted to gambling. This might seem cynical, but I understand them from a business perspective.
There must be some kind of incentive for the casino owners to join the system. I don't know what will incentivize them to do so.
Of course, self-exclusion might become mandatory by the gambling regulators, but I'm sure that many casino would choose to stay in the blackhat unregulated area of the gambling business.
In conclusion, there's no panacea that would solve the problem with players suffering from gambling addiction.
1562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you think bear market is affecting Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) so badly on: September 04, 2022, 06:18:04 AM
In my own opinion crypto investment just like any other business is not a mare for weaken Hearted follow
Cause it's the time to humble the riches and en-riches the strong minder holders are winners in this space
What do you think will help to help boost the mindset of investors again after all the ordeal?

First, I think that you should improve your English.
Second, the majority of the BTC investors are just ordinary people, who bought a small amount of BTC with a part of their small savings.
It's OK for them to panic and sell, when the market gets stuck in a bear trend or the price drops fast. You can't have winners on the market without having losers. If everyone was winning nobody would be losing and the profits would be close to zero.
I don't think that anything will "boost the mindset" of such investors. If they don't believe in the future of BTC, just let them leave the market.
I'm still positive that a Bitcoin bull market will come somewhere around 2024.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 06:25:04 AM

Now, this would be something of a thread where users can give tips as to how we play online/offline without our family knowing it. Curious how you do it.

My wife suspected me for almost a year already when I was watching a UFC channel on youtube where they suggest who to bet. Of course, I said No when she asked if I was betting. From then on I just hold my phone whenever she is not around. It's a long argument when your wife suggests buying this or that on amazon yet you gambling your funds. lol

Just lock your phone or PC with a password. Always delete your browsing history and cookies/cache.
I don't have your problems because I don't have a wife/girlfriend and nobody messes around with my phone or laptop.
The most difficult part would be hiding the fact that a part of your money is missing. Some women are crazy when it comes to controlling your finances. Maybe that's why I will remain single for the rest of my life. Grin I don't want any woman in the world to control my spending and use my money. Maybe you should have some secret savings for which your wife doesn't know.
If you ever get seriously addicted to gambling the problem will become unavoidable.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gambling Companies: First Massive Bitcoin Adopters on: September 02, 2022, 05:58:42 AM
Quote
Gambling companies accepting bitcoin have two effects on people:

1. People will think positively on bitcoin because gambling companies are carefully and well-managed kind of business. They are built to entertain people and to earn money in return. And there are hundreds of millions if not a billion or billions of people that are into gambling and many of them are exposed to bitcoin and its potential. Investing companies also have no problem with this as investing is also related to gambling with both facing levels of risks.

2. Many people take gambling companies as something dirty. People might as well take bitcoin as something dirty too. And bitcoin's decentralized form as a good way to evade authorities and government regulations.

1. Have you ever heard of all those cases of crypto casinos scamming their players? Grin There are many legit casinos, but the amount of scam casinos is pretty big. I can't generalize the gambling business as a "well-managed kind of business". There are good companies and bad companies.

2.Many people view the act gambling as a something dirty, not just the gambling companies. These people aren't the target audience for the gambling business anyway.

3.Investing in not gambling. You can't compare luck-based games with the process of analyzing the markets and carefully choosing where to put your capital. Betting money in a casino is NOT investing. Grin
1565  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: September 01, 2022, 10:17:04 AM
You forgot to mention the most important skill of almost every rich person-knowing how to sell.
We live in a market economy and knowing how to sell a product or service is the ultimate skill. Creating a great product and providing a great service is really important, but it's not enough for scaling the business. That's why marketing and writing sales copy are so in demand in the modern day world.
The poor usually don't have that skill and they don't want to develop it.
Another really important skill is persistence. Many poor people can't achieve success simply because they dive up too early.
I really successful person would persist until achieving his goals and dreams. He or she would even fail a couple times before achieving the desired goal. Poor people are too afraid of failure.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Commentary and commentators in sports. on: September 01, 2022, 05:34:22 AM
Is this topic related to gambling?  Grin I thought that you could somehow find a connection between sports commentators and sports betting. Grin
I watch football games and most commentators are kinda annoying. There are some good ones, who can be quite interesting, but most of them are biased and annoying. I got used to the football commentators and watching a game without sound is really weird. Having some noise adds more drama, I guess.

Quote
I don't like commentators very much. They scream a lot and don't stop talking for a single second

Do you live in Spain or Latin America? lol...
1567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: September 01, 2022, 05:11:31 AM
The typical human mind initially considers the fictitious drawbacks and rejects the possibility of another type of money. However, a growing number of individuals are visiting exchanges like Binance, Primexbt, Kraken, etc. People are afraid because they were taught to be afraid as child. This is, unfortunately, what the educational system does.

I am also a victim. Wish I had joined this forum earlier.

There's no point of of trying to find a psychological explanation of why the people are afraid of Bitcoin.
The vast majority of the people simply hate taking risks and that's perfectly fine. Investing is inevitably related with taking risks.
There are two big reasons why the people are afraid of Bitcoin/crypto:
1.Price volatility and constant FUD creates the fear of Bitcoin price crashing down to 1K USD or below.
2.The countless amount of Bitcoin/crypto scams. No wonder why many people don't want to use BTC/altcoins. If I was a complete newbie in the world of crypto, I would be afraid to put my hard earned money in crypto as well.
Joining this forum isn't something that you should be afraid of. Grin

And the poor have an opportunity to buy real estate and gain wealth.

The poor won't be able to buy real estate at affordable prices unless the banks offer them mortgage at affordable interest rates.
The central banks are raising the interest rates, so mortgages might become less affordable in the future.
I don't agree that UK has one of the stronger economies in Europe. Brexit still has it's impact and the UK economy will be facing recession combined with inflation and labor shortage.
The idea of a 50-year mortgage is simply stupid. Nobody would want to put debt on his children, so that they will have to pay it off even after their parents die.
There is a real estate bubble in the capital of the country where I live. I don't even understand why. There's high inflation, the working class is becoming poor and house/apartment prices are going up. This doesn't make any sense.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Avachance.com - Avalanche based lotteries secured with Chainlink VRF %100 Trans. on: August 31, 2022, 05:30:05 AM
Since your platform support AVAX (do you support Bitcoin), I guess you must move the thread in marketplace (altcoin section). If your platform support Bitcoin, you can keep it here.

Is there any system like lottery weight? For instance; if I want to buy two lottery for a single round, is it possible?

Lotteries are considered gambling games, so this forum thread belongs to the Gambling forum.
Buying two or more tickets for a small lottery pool would make the lottery useless. Imagine someone buying 10 tickets in a lottery that has
a limit of 20 participants and the other 10 participants bought only one ticket per player. This would demotivate many people into joining the lottery.
Anyway, this is an interesting concept and I wonder why it wasn't implemented before with bigger cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
OP, do you have any marketing strategy to promote this lottery? Perhaps adding a referral system would help for driving free traffic to your website and increasing the number of active players.
Good luck with this project.
1570  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT A STORE OF VALUE on: August 31, 2022, 05:06:27 AM
This forum exists for more than a decade and there are still people, who keep comparing a programming code with precious metals.
Yes, there's no denying that gold and silver are being used as raw materials in some industries. And so what?
I don't see people using gold and silver coins to buy and sell goods, just like in antiquity/middle ages. The times have changed.
Copper, iron and bronze are also being used as raw materials. Does that make them store of value?
Bitcoin can't be used as a raw material. Bitcoin doesn't have the same utility as gold and silver. And so what?
Fiat money are a questionable store of value, but the majority of the people think that they are a store of value.
Can fiat money be used as a raw material? Do you think that they have an actual utility, other than being medium of exchange?
1571  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: August 30, 2022, 10:42:53 AM
Many people keep saying that the times of high inflation are the best time to borrow and spend as much money as you can and stop saving.
This seems very risky to me and borrowing money only for the sake of borrowing had always seemed like a stupid move.
Yes, saving fiat money in the bank in times of high inflation is definitely a wrong financial decision. I don't know if turning your savings into cryptocurrencies might be the right decision. Maybe it will be in the long term. Unfortunately the high fiat inflation is combined with a "crypto winter" on the crypto markets. Perhaps after one or two years, those crypto investments will pay off, when the bull run hits the crypto markets.
1572  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 30, 2022, 06:23:25 AM
I think that the entire purpose of the copycat casinos is to end up being exit scams(well, most of them).
Your gambling business simply cannot survive in the long run, if your casino looks exactly the same as a bigger and well known casino.
Those copycat casino owners are in the business for the cash grab and the fast money from scamming.
There's a saying in marketing "A bad product can be sold only once." The same thing applies to copycat casinos. Such casinos can scam only once.
What matters the most in the gambling industry isn't the bonus structure or the casino web design. What matters the most is being good to your customers and building positive feedback. Maybe some copycat casino owners want to build a legit business, but at the end of the day, using a template makes you look unprofessional.
1573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having losses? Or people are not going the right way on: August 30, 2022, 05:58:47 AM
Crypto trading is no different than stock trading or FOREX trading. If you don't know what you are doing and you don't have patience and strong hands, you end up losing your capital. I've read statistics claiming that about 85% of stock traders lose their money. Crypto traders should be somewhere around that percentage.

The question when they enter the Altcoin market? here is the source of the problem

I guess you mean "why they enter the Altcoin market?" The obvious answer is greed and wanting to make big money fast.
This is the recipe for disaster. The people should learn how to walk before they learn how to run.

Billionaire Marc Lore is fleshing out his plan to build a utopian city called Telosa for 5 million people in the American desert

Who the hell would want to live in the American desert?
All those visionaries, who are dreaming of creating utopian cities have to pick a good location first. Creating a city in the desert has two main benefits:
1.Cheap land.
2.Sunny weather for the solar panels.
Those are the only benefits I can think of. The problems are way more:
1.The weather is going to be hot during the entire year.
2.Finding enough water supplies.
3.Finding people, who would want to live in a city in the desert.
4.Creating good infrastructure around the city.
The people, who are building such innovative cities are missing one key point. Making the city comfortable for the people that will live there.

1575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 29, 2022, 04:25:17 AM
The weirdest story for me is "inventing" the sandwich in a casino. In 1765? Were actual casinos invented in 1765?
I don't think that there were separate buildings for playing gambling games that were called by the name "casino" back in 1765.
Anyway, this list isn't informative or useful. It's just a bunch of useless facts and events that don't add anything new to my knowledge about gambling in general and the history of the gambling industry. I can't believe the story about gamblers urinating in a casino in Vegas.
The smell would be disgusting this might make many moderate gamblers to leave the casino. This is a guaranteed way to lose customers and no casino manager would allow such thing to happen.
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and Bitcoin began to be known by the rural community on: August 29, 2022, 04:00:10 AM
Just because you saw a guy with a Bitcoin shirt doesn't mean that Bitcoin is getting popular in your local community.
I have the feeling that Crypto/Bitcoin is getting more popular in the underdeveloped countries, rather than the developed countries.
Probably because the fiat currencies of those underdeveloped countries are weak and cannot be easily converted into a global fiat currency like USD. There's nothing wrong for crypto to gain adoption inside rural communities. The problem is that many crypto scams are the first thing that is getting spread among people, who don't have enough knowledge about blockchain technology and the crypto industry in general.
This might create a negative experience, which might scare away many people from Bitcoin.
1577  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you felt the impact of inflation so far? on: August 28, 2022, 10:16:30 AM
I'm paying 25-30% more for food. This is the worst thing in the current inflation.
My electricity bills are basically not increasing, because the electricity prices for the consumers are regulated by the government in the country where I live.
I don't have a car and I don't buy gasoline. Gasoline prices went up by 30-40%, which makes me glad that I don't drive a car.
I will have to secure wood for the winter and the wood prices are 30% up, so this might hit my budget big time, until the end of 2022.
Everyone, who is a living around the poverty line is being damaged severely by the inflation. The next months will be difficult, but everything will be alright in the end.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who Would You Likely Sign Up Under In Casinos on: August 28, 2022, 06:28:07 AM
What's the difference between review sites and vouch sites? Aren't they more or less the same?
What if the vouch is more of less biased and made only for the sake of getting affiliate/referral commissions?
Fake reviews and biased opinions are a thing in the crypto gambling industry(unfortunately).
Anyway, I would signup via an affiliate/referral link only if there's bonus for referral signups(and only if I have enough real evidence that the crypto casino is legit). Otherwise, there's no point for me to make some money for somebody else without any clear benefit for me. That might seem selfish, but I have the right to be selfish and to look after my own interests.
1579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Banks on: August 28, 2022, 05:59:59 AM
Don't compare the Bitcoin Core blockchain to banks.
Compare the cryptocurrency exchange platforms to the banks. The crypto exchanges are as centralized as banks and they are following the same KYC procedures as banks. The majority of the crypto users are using crypto exchange platforms, not cold wallets.
The banks are winning the battle against crypto trading platforms, because the governments are supporting them. If the bank gets bankrupt, your funds are guaranteed by the central bank/government up to 100K USD/EUR. If a crypto exchange platform gets bankrupt, you won't get anything in most cases.
1580  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been confused in BTC on: August 26, 2022, 10:19:24 AM
I am very disappointed with the state of Bitcoin in the current market. Because last week its price was 24000 dollars but now it shows 21 thousand dollars. I want to know from you, is the price of Bitcoin likely to fall further?

Only newbies get butthurt because the price drops by 10-15% in a week.
Hardcore traders don't get overwhelmed by the price volatility and the hardcore HODLers simply buy and HODL without paying attention to any short term ups or downs. The market is what it is. It's pointless to get disappointed, just because the price went down for a while.
Your question is dumb because nobody has the paranormal skill of predicting the future. Grin The price will fall or rise multiple times. Nobody knows when and how much.
