1561  Economy / Economics / Re: The thin line between contentment & living below potential, Patience & wasting t on: May 13, 2023, 03:18:54 PM
In any business activity or job, there is a time limit for judging the project to fail. For example, before you think of resigning from your job, you must have enough money to cover your expenses for the next two years, otherwise it is better to stick to your job and secure a second job.
The same applies to commercial activity. Depending on these activities, the period in which you can be patient varies. For example, the technological sectors are sensitive to changes, and therefore need a period of 6 to 9 months. It depends on the economic activities such as the trade of cloth and clothing, which takes from one year to a year and a half, including the traditional trade in grains and oils, which needs more than 3 to 5 years before you decide that the project is a failure.
Every business analysis obviously takes time when you have an idea thar either business is going in profit or loss  , either you are wasting time or its benefits your future.
Every business time margin is different some takes 1 year to tell you the status of your standings some takes 3 to 5 years to tell you where you are going.  So yes patience is required in this regard but don't take it long to be patient so that you have a loss.
However we cannot discriminate the idea of having huge expectations when you start a business. It is simply the reason why you started something and it is somewhat a gamble; no one gambles without expecting to win. Patience and all but such thing would really have a place in every investor's life. Whether settling for the 'minimum' return, is different from being contented. Also, such thing would depend on the individual and take note for individual differences. But most of the time, those investors who are contented with what their business is generating, simply has another source of income. The idea is not to rely on a single source of profit in order to not be weighted by consequences of starting a business.
1562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't follow the trends, work with price actions on: May 13, 2023, 02:20:38 PM
Trends are good indicators because demand simply controls the market price. What's wrong is to sit on a trend wherein it is a changing factor in the first place. Trend is a good indicator but for a short period of time unlike with price actions which determines the trend. Both are valid I guess, it is just the application of these two which results to wrong doings of investors and traders.
Point of correction, BTC hasn't been around for decades, and also, I do not know what you mean by procedure to be followed so that trading account shouldn't be drained..I would appreciate if you throw more lights on this.
Personally, as much price action is good, trends is equally important. That's because, for every trend, people are making money, so you can tell them trend is bad.
Price correction occurs in every ATH. Maybe if you cannot see it, you are in the wrong time frame. Daily and weekly time frames would show a more detailed price actions. But that is indeed true; good price actions lead to good price trends.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 12, 2023, 11:54:05 PM
This is not the problem of bitcoin, but the problem with your government that disabled internet in your country. You can use Starlink instead of relying on local service providers.

Elon Musk's Starlink finally registered in Pakistan to roll out internet services. ISLAMABAD – Elon Musk's famous satellite broadband provider Starlink has reportedly registered to operate and provide internet services in Pakistan.
But it still has something to do with accessibility to transact in this technology which I think, limiting its usage, so technically OP is correct. Another limitation is government adoption of this industry as a mode of payment on different transactions which is still a problem up until this point. Given these circumstances, should we be hopeless? If we would be optimistic, things still has aid in the future. There are still countries who allows cryptocurrency usage, and that is something already to consider for a bright future in this industry.
I am facing a real world issue that prevents me from using Bitcoin.

I live in Pakistan and for last three days cellular internet service all across the country is suspended because of prevailing law and order situation. Internet is working on fixed line connection that is reaching homes. So there is still some connectivity available.

If government shut down internet service even on fixed line connection then there will be complete internet blackout in the country and in that situation we cant use bitcoin.

I think this is also one of limitation of bitcoin that we need internet to use it.
i do not sure that shut down all internet service will be a solution because it will affect all the internet user in certain area. People in the country will not have any access to the internet then some chaos will occur.
Not chaos but problem. However, it won't be a solution indeed given how dependent technology at the present is, on internet connection. We could see this on the advancement of  appliances perhaps wherein most of the new release have the "smart" function which requires internet connectivity, so what more of other technologies existing.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: May 12, 2023, 11:31:12 PM
Depends on the project for sure. Staking has its risk of being squeezed between market price volatility. There are staking wherein an investor won't br ablr to pull out his stakes for a period of time so imagine if a market crash occur during that period; the only thing you could do is to wait for things to recover. But staking on the other hand is a good thing to do especially if the project has a good platform such as with Binance launchpads, to give you an example. Most of the release of their launchpads are successful creating profit from staking into it. Ofcourse not all projects would be resulting to something positive, that is the risk already. It'll now depend on what type of an investor you are; short term or long term.
1565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fate of BTC payment now on: May 12, 2023, 10:54:48 PM

Is there any business owners accepting Bitcoin still? How are you doing it? Is there any way to go around this? I will appreciate, because I don't want to stop accepting Bitcoin, I have my long term plan and accepting Bitcoin as payment have helped so far.

This is the unfortunate reality. I have seen small businesses in my country before, who accepted cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment but eventually decided to stop doing so. There are many reasons; convincing them to do so by giving discount, the fear of losing due to market volatility and such. For now, I think it is better to accept that this industry is not ready yet for such change. It is okay on the other hand to use Bitcoin and other crypto as an investment because it is a profitable one especially if you could manage the risk and make use of the market price volatility.

Let us wait for further improvements and developments in general. Regulation in the first place is struggling to be implied so what more of merchants encouraging people to use crypto as a mode of payment. We'll get into it maybe not today but someday.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and How Do you watch live boxing and MMA matches on: May 12, 2023, 04:21:08 PM
On facebook streaming page, problem only is a bit of a delay with the match but that's fine with me as long as the fight is continuous and there are no interruptions with the vid. I am one with those who cannot afford spending money for pay-per-view also, not really that of an avid van to spend more than what I use to bet. Result will come out in the first place and it is enough for me to just watch the game or fight with some delays. If it is just ethical concerns, live streams of a fight or match on facebook are stolen from the main service provider. So if such thing matters that much on your end, go with PPV to atleast give support to the operators of that much or the management itself. Also, on other platforms, such thing is prohibited which pushed me to settle with what I can access.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto VS Fiat Online Gambling as per Google trends on: May 12, 2023, 04:06:57 PM
I may be wrong, but I think that might not also be an accurate result. Have you tried to get that result from different sources and compare if they are still the same? I know that a lot of casinos use Bitcoin or Ethereum as their means of payment, but these casinos still allow people in other countries to deposit in their local currency apart from dollar, so I assume that Fiat is also dominating. I think I have seen about two or just one casino that also added TRX, BNB, and ADA to their payment and deposit methods, so it's not that some casinos don't add other crypto with a low fee deposit, but I think there are not many casinos that do add other cryptos apart from Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum.
In most cryptogambling sites, there are options a gambler may choose with regards to the currency as a mode of payment to both withdrawal and deposit. Likewise with fiat based gambling sites wherein different currencies are being used. In my country, our main currency is the mode of payment but I still choose betting using cryptocurrencies; one reason is to avoid taxes especially to my winnings. Tax in my area in particular with gambling is I guess one of the biggest. But for sure it is more convenient given the number of platforms offering gambling games. In cryptogambling sites, I avoid using big tokens because of large gas fees. Alternatives are better in order to lessen the fees.
1568  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with all guy who loss money to stock market on: May 12, 2023, 03:31:34 PM
Sweet words won't mean a thing unless proven. Ofcourse brokers would say things to convince you because it will be profit in an instant. With regards to the idea such that if you've lost much in stock market, then try taking a pause and realize what have you done wrong. Problem for years is that people engage with investments they don't know nothing about, trusting "professionals". Regardless if you are dealing with experienced individuals, you should still know what you are dealing yourself with in order for you to have your own opinion whether to continue or not. Stock market has its own risk. Relying or depending all of your investment to ither people won't do you good in any case. It would be much better to study things before continuing into it.
1569  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 12, 2023, 12:50:14 PM
It's okay if bitcoin hasn't been able to increase again this year because bitcoin still has a lot of time to increase.
We must be grateful that we are still given more time to be able to buy bitcoins at low prices so we have to use this time to buy bitcoins.
You can use the DCA method if you can't buy bitcoins using a lot of money. It can also help you to be able to accumulate many bitcoins.
And even though it looks like bitcoin is looking hard to go up, I believe the price of bitcoin will go higher and it's only a matter of time.
So be patient to wait until the price goes up again.
The price would either go up or down. I think it is more likely to increase this year even if it won't reach its ATH. The market have shown progress already from the market crash since its ATH and that is something already to consider. But as usual, the market price won't continuously increase in a consistent manner; corrections would always take place no matter how we wish the price to not fall. The bullrun is more likely to happen next year due to the anticipated halving but as we manage our expectation, things won't instantly happen. Indeed, patience will be required no matter what behavior the market is showing. Find the right entry points and you will be good to go.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 12, 2023, 10:32:31 AM
Question is; how would a gambler see if he/she is betting too fr than they suppose to? Problem is lack of awareness. In most of the times, playersold set an amount to bet for the whole day but due to the involvemen of emotions, things are not being followed as planned. Ofcourse it would be easy to say that you are fine losing a certain amount but deep inside there will be that urge to get your losses. And once you got your losses back, there will again that urge to come up with a win. Obviously, self-discipline is the bottomline but unfortunately not all people can impose such thing unto themselves. There will always be underlying factors which will interfere to your plans in gambling.

Advice? I guess it is to not be dependent with gambling money in the first place. Avoid being dragged into the idea that gambling could make you rich someday. I believe this is where all emotions in this industry comes from.
1571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's investment in Bitcoin on: May 11, 2023, 11:47:51 PM
One of my close friends his name is Naher. He came to visit my house. Once while discussing with him, I mentioned the name of bitcoin. He wanted to know what bitcoin is? I was telling him that bitcoin is a digital cryptocurrency coin launched in 2009 by a man named satoshi. I tell him Bitcoin has been around for 14 years. I give him more idea about Bitcoin. At one point he expressed his interest in investing in bitcoin, I told him that there is a possibility of not only profit but also loss from investment. To invest you have to take risk. My friend invests in bitcoin knowing profit loss. He works for a salary of about $400 per month. He invested about $500 in Bitcoins. I didn't show my friend interest in investing in bitcoin. He himself knowingly invested in bitcoin.
Did I give my friend the right advice?
The advice could have been invest only an amount you can afford losing, in that way it would be clear to him what he is engaging himself into. But based on your story, he just invested a little more than his monthly salary, and if that is out of his savings, then that will just be a fine amount and if it won't leave him tight. Also to add, clear your intentions that you have warned him about the risk 'coz if not, we cannot tell by now but once a collapee occur, for sure you'd be one who will suffer from burden and blame. Actually, same thing happened to me before wherein a friend of mine became interested with what I am doing. A crash occured and even if I have mentioned volatility on his end, he still chose to blame me for his losses which is why I never encourage people in this industry other than myself.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: May 11, 2023, 04:19:44 PM
If we are going to ask artificial intelligence questions about a subject, we must first give it documents. Failure to do so will cause the results it will give us to deviate from reality. We can give answers that are far from the truth and be deceived by it. This is an important issue that we should pay attention to. These and similar predictions often fail because we treat AI as a predictor. Rest assured, artificial intelligence is not like that.
This sums up what chatgpt can do actually. You have the option of using plugins to let it access live data on the internet,  or use the model behind it and provide documents yourself that the bot would access. Sadly said questions as I've said multiple times are not predictions, they're just collation of data, and said data also limits the chances of said "collation" being accurate due to itself being one.

In the end chatgpt is just a language model. It helps in summarizing stuff to provide accurate analysis, but it can't read uncontrolled factors at least, not yet.
It is likely ChatGPT will never be able to do this, anyone looking for an AI which can give them predictions about the upcoming matches will need to at first feed the AI the necessary data, then the AI will need a way to evaluate the strength of each squad and finally use this data to generate the chances each team has of beating each other.

And while this can be easily written in a few sentences, the sophistication of such software is too high for most people to even grasp the complexity of such a problem, and only the most educated gamblers could come close to produce such an AI.
AIs won't give accurate prediction. The information they can provide is limited with what is existing and not with information which is not in the 'book'. There could be a textual analysis provided by AI but such thing is not explicit with regards to prediction. In the first place, prediction is a guess based on existing stats of a team perhaps, but anything can happen in the game. This is the downside of AI wherein the information is limited. Also, would you be okay as a gambler to rely with what a computer would be recommending when it comes on betting? 'coz personally I won't. It would be better to lose with my analysis than to lose with other's choice. In such way I would still be able to enjoy what I have speculated.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sending bank statement for verification on: May 11, 2023, 03:41:49 PM
i registered at an online casino and my deposit was not arrived and i contact to their support and they said you need to wait for 10 business days for your refund.

10days are completed and i still didn't received my refund, and they told that "if you don't receive your refund in 10 days then you can contact us with your bank statement"

my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?
Bank statement won't expose your private keys but keep in mind filtering the information you will be sending. Also, it is for me fishy in a way that I haven't experienced gambling sites asking for my bank statement rather than transaction history
But if you think that the site is reputable enough, then it could be worthy of compliance. Bank statement only includes previous transactions as well as balance but if there is other way to get your refund then that would be better ofcourse.
[...]
my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?
The casino don't need all the information so you can probably hide the important parts like account name or number and even balance. Since you are disputing that you haven't receive the refund then it's only natural to show proof that it didn't arrive. There's no better way to do that than your bank statement.

Choose a better way next time. If you're worried about revealing personal data then you could choose sending from a non-custodial crypto wallet and using it for your withdrawals and refunds.
Problem is if such information is required by the gambling site. If that's the case then the player has no other choice but to comply in order to process the refund. However, following transactions would be somehow worrisome so I guess moving to other platform would be a better idea.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: May 11, 2023, 02:46:54 PM
Ah! What is fixing matches becoming? It is even getting beyond fixing matches, like this one:
Quote
Santos defender Eduardo Bauermann is accused of receiving at least 50,000 reais ($10,000) to get a yellow card in a match against Aval last year, according to the documents.
Player are getting bribed.
I will not be betting more than EPL, La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga and Lique 1 in France. I bet on Brazilian Seria A, Seria B and some other leagues and cups in Brazil. I can not trust this kind of leagues again.

We see that these are only a few players but in reality, those players are the only people who are caught red-handed surely there are more of them there and probably we also have this kind of scenario in known sports as well and they are just being careful not to get caught because if they do, they will gonna ruin the sport and might lose the trust of the people forever. Just like this one, now that they are transparently known for doing this, they will lose their fans and spectators because there will be no thrill anymore to watch and they will also probably lose their sponsorship as well because of the obvious reasons.
That's how money works in any field. It is no longer passion and enjoyment to all players, to some, money matters more. Would it be worthy betting on these games still? I'd say yes. I agree that not all players are into bribery and some are still passionate. But the bottomline is, not a single player would dictate the match outcome so hopes are still there. Even with other sports, I agree that such thing is also evident. But what is our option? To not bet? I disagree. Atleast, I do still enjoy my gambling experience inspite of the idea that results might be rigged. I somehow accepted that fixed matches are existent in sports industry just like with other sport tournaments.
1575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone remember trueflip.io casino? on: May 11, 2023, 01:53:03 PM
In depth review or searches would only be done on the time when the damage had already been done which they should have done it earlier before you do get scammed.Yes, there are still places
which do continue to operate and selectively scamming out some users which it is really that sad. Im aware of Trueflips existence wayback since it does have their ANN thread of this forum.
Its not shocking that they had some bad reputation or complaints on other platforms saying about their bad service. Well, we cant tell if this issue is true or not but
on common sense thing, i would really tend to risks out on making deposits on platforms which does have that pending issues or complaints.
True flips has been around for a long time, and I've never had a negative or unpleasant experience with the site; everything runs properly. We should not jump to conclusions regarding the entire notion of these alleged schemes. Trueflip.io casino is a legitimate casino gambling site, and we are well aware of how these sites receive scam accusation evaluations on their sites, or from desperate customers who simply want to bring their sites down. When someone is desperate, they will go over and beyond. It is never a good idea to lure out confidential information about a site if there is no solid or important evidence to back up your claim.
There were some before but were not proven afterwards, which counts as allegations alone. This is how reputation and credentials matter in every platform; no matter how many issues are created, players of a gambling site would still stick to a particular platform. This I think is a factor being not considered by the new ones in this industry; they tend to focus more on bonuses and promotions without appreciating the long term effect of reputation. We have many gambling platforms up until this date and not all sites are reputable enough to be recognized by new players in this industry. What keep players on a platform is the way they trust the service provider.
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I believe that Bitcoin will make me independent on: May 10, 2023, 11:50:24 PM
Hey guys. I’m just want to hear something encouring and confirm my assumptions. 🙏 I want to be someday (i hope that it will be possible in next bullrun) independent of money from my family. I’m since 2010 on wheelchair because of failed surgery and interrupted my spinal cord. I have multiple health problems, mainly resulting from paralysis.  I have little chance of having a high paying job due to my health problems and unfortunately incomplete education. But my expenses are too high. I am able to invest 20-30 euros per month and I really want to believe that one day thanks to this regular investment I won't have to ask my family for help. I’m 14 months in world of Bitcoin! I’m excited and my hope in BTC is probably actually bigger than the fact that one day I will walk again  Grin
HODL and believe with me, please!  Smiley

Sorry for my english, it is not my native language, but tried my best  Smiley
Would only work if the market price of Bitcoin will consistently and continuously increase. As we may observe market prices are volatile and any news related into it would surely make an impact. So I'd say a regular job is still required or better if you are seeking for stable income without the need of depending on your family. The idea is good for sure, but things just don't work that way and that easily knowing that your source of income chosen has volatile rewards. We are not even aware of until how high the market price be 23 only have to assume its value and wait for things to occur.

Bitcoin and this technology in general are indeed profitable but have you ever wonder why there are still people or investors who are woriknhg still in order to provide sustainance of that.
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 10, 2023, 11:34:03 PM
All of the NFTs you know and love today, have their data stored their on centralized servers (images, video, etc). What is only stored on the Blockchain is just the properties of the NFT itself. While you're basically the "owner" of the NFT, you could lose technically lose it if the centralized server hosting the content of the NFT goes down.

So, what's the point of investing in NFTs if they can disappear in an instant? Unless all of the content is stored on the Blockchain itself, I don't see how NFTs will be able to last forever. Are there already solutions in the works that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me on this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
NFTs would exist as long as the investor keeps it on his wallet address. As far as I remember, once an NFT is sold, the owner will no longer have the possession over it. However, if it is its value which is being discussed to last forever, it is more likely not to happen. First thing is that, the market price of an NFT is determined by demand and supply as well. These factors are highly being affected which could trigger sudden changes withthe market prices. But if it is just total appearance to one's wallet, as long as the platform is there, the artwork would be able there.

If it is investing to NFTs, that would depend on your preference . If you are after easy money then think of all the possibilities. Not all NFTs are working fine as it supposed to. So think of whether it is something worthy of risking your money with?
1578  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you Spending Money the Wrong Way in Pursuit of Happiness? on: May 10, 2023, 11:06:19 PM
Money should make you happy but if it doesn't then you are probably spending it the wrong way. See the eight suggested principles to help anyone to be able to get happiness from their money.
  • buy more experiences and fewer material goods
  • use your money to benefit others rather than yourself
  • buy many small pleasures rather than fewer large ones
  • eschew extended warranties and other forms of overpriced insurance
  • delay consumption
  • consider how peripheral features of your purchases may affect your day-to-day life
  • beware of comparison shopping
  • pay close attention to the happiness of others

These suggestions are not mine but are from the scientific findings of EW Dunn et al. They are valid suggestions which even without reading have been practicing.  What are you take on these suggestions? Do you have more to add to what the researchers have discovered about this?

If you are enjoying where you are spendong or using your money, then that's just fine. What is not is to stress out because you used all of your money into something which will generate profit but will not give you satisfaction or happiness. Things should be balanced; allot money for investment purposes and also, allot for personal entertainment. You'll see; not all people are the same. Some would be fine just enjoying things that much 'coz money is their motivation. While others are prioritizing enjoyment over investments. Eitherway is valid as long as you are meeting your personal goal which is to either earn profit, enjoy, or both.

You can think of many ways to earn profit from investment but sometimes you will have difficulties with finding the source of your happiness. Alike with the counterpart with struggling to dinf that investment and ssacrificing happiness and contentment.
1579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: May 10, 2023, 04:02:06 PM
Will such thing occur in this technology? 'coz personally, I'd say never even if regulation occur as long as demand and market supply is there, things will remain the same and it is just transactions which will cost higher in terms of charges. The market price of cryptoa are more likely to still be volatile? Even the market value of currencies from one another declines as a result of economic recession.

So I think, as far as this industry is concerned, some characteristics would remain even in the future; people who spreads both good and bad news in this technology, governments of many country, investors trying to avoid taxes. These contributors would play a role determining whether price of cryptos would be stagnant or not.
1580  Economy / Gambling / Re: Limited in every bookmaker on: May 10, 2023, 03:31:57 PM
If you are limited obviously your name is on the black list of the broker you are betting with. The good thing that some brokers have is that you can establish a personal communication with the company and they can inform you on the restrictions.I was limited in a broker as well until i got in touch with them and they shared the reason. After few weeks i got back my accounts without any limits. It appeared it was a misunderstanding between the broker site and the providers.
Can you tell me what's the misunderstanding about your case?

I haven't see someone who get limit on their accounts and when they've reach the customer service, their accounts will no longer limited because most of reason the casino limit the gambler's account is the user keep winning in their site.

If you mean about few games you can't play, it's because your location get restricted in their casino, it's not limit which is you can't bet higher amount than previous.

You have the correct explanation. Gambling sites often limit users who are winning a lot of money. To give them the freedom to continue gambling, the best the gambling site can do is limit their bets. This way, the site can still be profitable even if the gambler keeps winning. If a gambler gets restricted, then that's another case. There may be a problem with the terms of service on the gambler's side, or for some gambling sites, they may use it to scam a gambler. It's important to gamble on reputable gambling sites.
I'd say not to avoid a certain player to keep on winning but rather to maintain the gambling site's economy. Think of this instance; a player used huge amount of money and happened to hit the jackpot. We have this thing called prize pool and if in case the multiplier would consime ll of the prize, not to mention there are other gambling games, for sure the platform itself would collapse which would also cause inconvenience to both player and house's side. Other than this reason, I cannot think of other possible reason.Gambling platforms won't limit a player from winning continuously, but atleast with moderation such that not in a single bet 'coz in every round, there are players who are losing which compensates those who loses.
