1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Chinese Man Won $29,392,922.00 & Refused to tell His Wife and child on: November 25, 2022, 04:07:18 PM
Now this is something that we don't get to hear everyday. Most of the times people either spend their money lavishly or invest some and keep gambling with other.
What I wonder about this man is that if he has such ideology that his wife and children will become lazy if he has so much money then why did he gamble at first place.
Did he had so much money that he could gamble for fun or did he gamble to win.
It doesn't really make much sense to me why would the man do that. He could have simply used some of the money, invested some, took some money aside for his family and put the rest as a will or inheritance for his family.
There are other good things to do besides hiding it from his own family.
1562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 25, 2022, 03:50:14 PM
I saw this rainbow indicator chart yesterday on some platform. This is the first time I have come across this.
To be honest, I don't rely much on this and think that BTC has a long way to go.
Even if the price of BTC has declined a lot, it only means that we are getting near to bottom.
With every dip the chances of bull run increases which is why we should buy more and DCA in every dip.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: November 25, 2022, 03:32:48 PM
He would have been probably dead because mainstream organizations would have played some dirty politics on him.
He would have been tortured by gangsters so that they can steal all his coins.
He would have been heavily criticized by people who lost their money in bitcoins.
The real world is cruel and there is no space for good people like Satoshi in this world.
I don't mean to harm anyone's feelings but the current society we live in isn't a place for good people.

We're getting a little philosophical here, but lets look at things from another angle.

The world & cyberspace as we know it is plagued with all kinds of scams, that makes people do things like quit websites or certain real-world services because of the similarity of those scams to those services.

But what if all that could be different? Like, you could walk around without worrying about some wolf in sheep's clothing attempt to scam you?

Right now, people are only scamming others because it's profitable. If the profit is taken out of the equation, everyone would run away with it because the only variable left would be the risk of jail time. And nobody wants to go to jail.

How do we take out the profits from scams? Using fines.

Governments fine people who have been caught scamming others, then the government returns the proceeds to its rightful owner. The scammers do not pay up or try to run away? They put them on an Interpol wanted list. That's how it should be working.

You are being too positive here whereas in reality its quite the opposite. We already have fines implemented in our country and prison sentence as well.
But people are still scamming others and thieves are still stealing money from others.
The fact that the amount of reward is greater, motivates these people to execute more of these illicit activties.
If Satoshi was alive and had a public identity he would have been the primary target of these people.
They would kidnap him and steal his keys and probably murder him. It's good that he is anonymous.

I must say that I'm now a Bitcoin addict and an ardent fan/supporter of Satoshi Nakamoto and the good initiative Bitcoin technology has brought to the world. But there are these questions that have been ringing in my head day and night as I continue to be curious about this man/men that brought this revolution to the financial space.

I would like people to furnish me with their views even though I personally believe that he would have been haunted by the world governments at the initial stage.

What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?

He would have been probably dead because mainstream organizations would have played some dirty politics on him.
He would have been tortured by gangsters so that they can steal all his coins.
He would have been heavily criticized by people who lost their money in bitcoins.
The real world is cruel and there is no space for good people like Satoshi in this world.

1565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Machine that makes Bitcoin while you sleep??? on: November 24, 2022, 04:34:01 PM
Funny story:

Sometime last year, I got introduced to a "scheme" that claimed it would pay you in BTC without much work. I didn't know much about cryptocurrency then. I wasn't exactly moved because I have a hard time believing in things that come easily and I'm usually suspicious of things I get easily. So... At some point I started buying the idea because I knew some few persons close to me that were making real money from it. You didn't have to refer. I didn't want to be left behind, so my curiosity kicked. I was told if have to get the application, put in some BTC and then buy a mining machine Grin Grin I got did all the processes voila, I was making money...

... At least for the first three days, I was making money.
After that week, we were told they wanted to make some upgrade to the app, so we won't be able to place withdrawal at the moment... That was when I knew I was in trouble. Just as I thought, the whole scheme "collapsed" and our money was gone. Ignorance did me bad.

So my question boils down to: are cryptocurrency mining machines really real?  I need answers. How do I know what to trust?!

From your story I assume that they said you to buy a mining machine on some website which basically means you were mining BTC on a cloud based website.
You had to pay some BTC to buy some of their plans after which you started making money. This is ofcourse a scam because cloud based mining doesn't pay you well.
I learnt this around 2016 and started cloud mining on some websites. But they were free sites and did not ask any money to be paid.
In your case it is obviously a scam. These days cloud mining is definitely not profitable. You will have to buy mining rigs and run it to get some decent money.
There are efforts involved where you have to pay for the electricity and do the maintenance of the mining rigs.
Hence mining machines are real but you have to put your efforts in it.
1566  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: November 24, 2022, 04:20:02 PM
Is there any gambling/casino website that owns a android application? I noticed that all gambling websites are good for PC/Computers but not phones, I believe an android application will be flawless and way easier to access..

With every year tech is evolving and the web has evolved to a stage where native apps are no longer needed because web apps are taking their place.
Ofcourse native apps are faster than web apps but web apps are more convenient because once created it can be easily accessed on android as well as ios devices.
It requires less effort creating web apps. The casino sites these days being used are compatible on android as well as ios devices.
You can directly enter the casino site from your mobile browser and get the same experience of an app.

Last 9 hours for the Nov price betting. Has anyone put any bets this time ?
The market doesn't look like going bullish any time soon which is why many have put their bets in the current price range.
Though bitcoin has increased a little today do you think more pump will occur in the next few days ?
BTC price range of $17500 - $20000 is quite tempting since the odds are 10.5x currently.

Just missed the bet but this is quite some value indeed. Chances are higher that the price will stay between 15,001$ and 17,500$ but for this odd, I would always have placed a bet on the range 17500$ to 20000$.

LOL, even I missed the bet. I was going to place a bet of 700 satoshis on the price range of $17.5k - $20k.
Although chances are less for btc to cross $17.5k but for the odds of 10x this bet would have made sense.
Losing 700 satoshis won't do a major difference but winning 7000 satoshis would be nice lmao.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 23, 2022, 04:01:38 PM
I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

It was your mistake to go all in on one bet. Obviously you couldn't afford to lose that money.
You shouldn't have bet an amount you couldn't afford to lose. This is what gambling teaches us.
Most of us has learnt this lesson a hard way. I am sorry that you had to learn this lesson the same way.

I am happy to see that finally someone with a lot of tickets, namely 4 million and a bit more got the first prize of the weekly lottery for this round. For the other places we still continue with the tradition with people of less than 1000 tickets to win many of those places.

I of course missed my ID for quite some time here, namely more than 104 weeks or more than 2 years as I have tickets more than 2000 for all these rounds, this shows that is extremely difficult for any person to be in the top 10 out of 50 million users that we are here, nevertheless a new week starts and it is a good one because tomorrow we have 5x reward points for people who want to gamble.

This makes me wonder how many idle accounts would there be who have won a lottery round but never accessed those funds or accounts.
Most of us would be having old accounts at freebitco.in whose passwords we would have forgot.
May be one of those accounts would have won a lottery.
I remember once I had an account at freebitco.in which had around 10 referrals and if any one those referrals are still active that account would be eligible for lottery.
Hence there are possibilities we would have won the lottery without ourself knowing about it.
Unfortunately I dont even know the email of that account since it was back in the early days when we had dogeco.in
1571  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk want to buy bitcointalk on: November 20, 2022, 02:37:29 PM
So we not surprise when elon reach into his deep pocket to buy twitter in billion dollar. Because he have unlimited money.

I was imagine when he find this forum that look unique because Satoshi was create this forum like he create bitcoin,
and after he look unique and look philanthropy then he want to buy this forum,

are you guy agree if Elon buy bitcointalk forum?,
that look superior if bitcointalk owned by a richest person like elon.

I don't think that's even possible because inorder to buy something it needs to be on sale.
Bitcointalk is not for sale which is why not even Elon Musk would be able to buy it.
Currently Theymos is moderating the forum and I don't think he is hungry for money which is why he would definitely reject any deal Elon Musk would offer.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: November 20, 2022, 02:32:06 PM
That is a good visual representation of different types of gambling zones one has encountered in their lifetime.
Unfortunately I have never experienced the first one where I keep on winning the bets.
I have surely encountered the second one few times one my bad days.
The third one is most frequent for me where I win in the beginning but eventually lose in the end.
I have experienced the fourth one as well but it rarely happens.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambling addict? on: November 20, 2022, 02:03:22 PM
I do gamble, but I gamble just for fun, I gamble whenever I want and I gamble just with little amount, I don't gamble with the amount I can't afford to lose and I don't take gambling as my source of income.
Whenever you start thinking you can make money from gambling, then you are already getting everything wrong because if you continue like that, you will definitely be addicted to gambling, whenever you lose money in gambling, you will continue gambling because you believe you will still win, which you might keep on losing till you finish all the money you are having with you, some people take loan, sell their properties just because they want to gamble which is very wrong, gambling should just be for fun and we shouldn't take it as our source of income.

You are doing the right thing by gambling only with the amount you can afford to lose. I follow the same approach and I can say that I am not addicted to gambling.
I gamble in moderate frequency mostly because I don't get the time to gamble a lot. My day job and side hustle consumes all my time in the weekdays.
The only time I have left for gambling is during the weekends and many times I get busy in other things so I don't gamble some weekends.
Whenever I gamble I make sure the amount I gamble with is affordable to lose so that I don't stress out on losing and have fun while gambling.

Faced a weird issue today which I have never encountered before, atleast with freebitco.in.
I got the free WoF spin in my email and when I clicked the captcha it just kept on loading.
It nevere loaded the captcha at all. Has anyone else faced this today ?

this case is the same as what I experienced yesterday, I've tried deleting the browser history and the cache is still like that even though sometimes it can load properly sometimes it doesn't work anymore and it often loads again, I try visiting other sites that use the same hcaptcha as I did natural on freebitcoin for WOF claims but strangely the site using google captcha has no problem
This often happens to me when opening the free WOF on my email on my PC especially on Chrome browser however it works fine on other browsers such as edge or firefox. This is an easy fix, just try to refresh it or open it on other browsers. Also, spinning on your phone might work as I never encountered that issue when opening WOF on my phone. The issue may be on the captcha itself on your browser which is why you can't spin on the WOF.
I also think for a while it's better to do another alternative that can be done, actually you don't need to use another browser but just use a private browser it seems it's working fine, maybe it's because the slow internet makes the captcha not load properly

This happened again with me today. I tried to spin the WoF spin on my laptop but the captcha kept on loading.
Then at the same time I opened it in my mobile and fortunately it worked and I was able to spin the WoF spin.
I wonder why it did not work the previous time since I had spin the WoF on mobile previously too.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD I GO AHEAD TO BUY AND HOLD SOLANA? on: November 19, 2022, 02:45:09 PM
Guys what's your opinion about SOL? Is it a good buy or heading in the same direction as LUNA

SOL is a potential coin but the recent events in the crypto community has decreased my confidence on SOL.
I used to hold SOL until last week but since the FTT collapse the price of SOL has decreased a lot.
Also, Solana has faced network outages quite a few times which is really discouraged in crypto.
Investing in Solana is risky but equally profitable at the same time. I would consider investing a little portion into it.
Not going big into it but holding a small amount would be a good deal.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 19, 2022, 02:31:45 PM
Is it possible to stick with free spins on online casinos and still be able to make some good reward?

I am looking into the free side of things, no risk at all with free spins but the question is has anyone ever make something out of free spins before? Something reasonable at?

The last time I earned something free from gambling websites was when BTC has very low value and many faucets still run, that's couple of years back.

It really depends on the site that you are getting free spins from. For example freebitco.in provides a free roll every hour and we get 12 sats as per the current rate for every roll.
On the other hand BC.GAME provides a free spin everyday but it gives us locked BCD which isn't really useful if you are just claiming free spins.
So it depends on the casino site basically whether it is worth it or not. Freebitco.in is worth it because they provide a free roll every hour and also a free WoF spin everyday which gets us a chance to win some nice rewards starting from 50 sats.
We can use these satoshis to play multiply btc game on the site which is a basic high low game.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 19, 2022, 02:24:30 PM
Think from the owners perspective. If you own a gambling casino website and there are some players who found a way to cheat the site would you be happy about it ?
Further more, they are able to win the games by cheating and hence they are stealing your money with the unfair advantage.
Would you be happy about it ? The answer is obviously no. So even if we find a way to cheat the casino site we shouldn't do it.
We should report the vulnerability to the casino site and may be if we are lucky the casino site will itself reward us with something.
1578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: November 19, 2022, 09:47:59 AM
But at the same time there's another point to be considered which is that with low capital we become more fearless when compared to a high capital.
When our capital is high and when we make investments on higher amounts we tend to fear more.
Fear eats up the profits and gets us losses. With less fear in low capital we tend to make out decent profits.

Indeed, the larger the capital, the greater the loss may be. And if you do not learn how to trade with small capital, using risk management in your trading, then all the mistakes that were made will be automatically transferred to trading with large capital.

Yes ofcourse and that is the reason most experts advice to start slowly and trade with a small capital in the beginning.
Once we start getting consistent profits only then we should think of increasing the capital gradually.
Many people start trading with a big capital and lose big money which is a mistake we should avoid at any cost.

We have less than 1 week (just 5 days) to bet on November crypto prices. Do you think it makes sense this month, as we had 'extraordinary situation' with a dump?
At least FUN token has price $0.0066 and it seems it will unlikely leave range $0.005001 - $0.0075 so it seems it is (almost) sure bet. With odds 1.23 it is better than nothing.

I just went in with that range. Doubt there's gonna be anything huge (bull) after the FTX fiasco by the end of the month.

I think we are going to stay in this range for the next few months before anything major happens.
I saw the odds for BTC and ETH price betting and the odds are really low for the current price ranges.
Which means most of the people think it will stay in this range for the next few weeks at least.
But ETH odds of 4x at $1251-$1500 looks promising bet.
1580  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: November 18, 2022, 04:32:32 PM
When it comes to trading, capital makes the difference. For it hits me hard to know that same energy and technicality put in making about $500 is also synonymous to making a million dollars or more in trading.
If we look back to our series of successful trades most of us would have made tremendous profits running in millions if it was on a good capital start.

And I agree with myself that when it comes to trading, for good traders the difference in our profit making level is in the capital and not necessarily put on number of successful trades executed.
It boils down to say the difference is just capital.

But at the same time there's another point to be considered which is that with low capital we become more fearless when compared to a high capital.
When our capital is high and when we make investments on higher amounts we tend to fear more.
Fear eats up the profits and gets us losses. With less fear in low capital we tend to make out decent profits.
