1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: think before investing on: August 13, 2023, 01:14:13 PM
I don't understand how your friend could do such a stupid thing. Anyone who has the least idea about Bitcoin depends on how or who they decide to invest in Bitcoin by selling their assets. People usually lose everything by making such mistakes. Your friend doesn't have the least idea about Bitcoin investment so why didn't he discuss it with you before taking such a big decision when you already have a good understanding of various aspects related to investment. Maybe your friend should have thought this much before investing in a job I don't know anything about. Even if you have enough knowledge about investing, you should never sell your assets or house to invest in Bitcoin. The amount of money should be invested so that loss of money does not hinder your future progress.
Perhaps OP's friend was too disappointed by the fact that it was not millions of money and assets but Bitcoin that was left for him. As much as I want to say that it was a stupid move, we cannot judge OP's friend as we are not aware if he/she has an any idea what Bitcoin is. Believe me or not there are people like that who exist, clueless about what Bitcoin is and the system. What we know is only what OP stated so let's not be too harsh. Granted we will not be doing the same, at least we are aware people like OP's friend exist.
1582  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: August 13, 2023, 12:44:26 PM
Buying stocks would be the first step that we can do if we can't buy a whole business especially if we're pertaining to huge companies. As for me, if I would be given a chance, I would rather start and grow my own business from scratch so I could build it up based on my own plans and business strategies. A small business that grows in time is so fulfilling. I would love to see the fruits of my labor and hardwork without relying on the previous business owner's ideas and business flow. Even if it's just a small businesses, growing and generating profit from it even if it takes a long time is a bug fulfillment and achievement.
That is one way we can do it if we don't have big capital to buy all of the company's assets. In terms of effectiveness, I agree more with building our own business, even if it's on a small scale compared to buying shares, because we can develop the business according to the strategies and plans that we have.

Everyone definitely wants to see the results of their own hard work in building a business and there will be satisfaction when we succeed in achieving success. Usually this type of person prefers to deal with risks and doesn't want to be in the comfort zone to make money. Hard work will be proportional to the results we will receive and anyone who can be consistent in surviving will surely achieve success.
I agree. I sure want to have the sense of success knowing that all the hard work and ideas started from me once my business starts making a name for itself. If an individual has the drive and money to start their own business and the patience to handle competition and hurdles then of course building a small business is ideal.
1583  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 13, 2023, 12:19:23 PM
I see crypto more like gambling (intra-day or long term, but gambling in the end) so if I wanted to make a safe investment I would go for two apartments. If in your country you can live with the income they"ll provide, after taxes and expenses, then you can have a lot of free time to focus in other business, with your back covered, so you will also make better decisions as you'll be investing money that you can afford to lose.
I agree with you. But honestly it is more on how much can you invest and how much time do you have before you can see the profit of those investments. If you have the capacity to have all three then of course it is the best scenario to have, but will limited profit I will either go for real estate or cryptocurrency, as both are good low factor investments.
1584  Economy / Economics / Re: New Research found Work from home workers to be less productive on: August 13, 2023, 11:41:50 AM
Productivity is what we should be after and not what other people are saying about the work conditions irrespective of being a home or office location job, how effective can we deliver what is within our capacity and what is being expected of us, the capacity to how far we can deliver depends on our ability and personal interest, where we think we can perform best give the best quality delivery in our abilities, what you give in is what you receive back as reward to your labour in form of wages, location should not be a barrier.
It is true that for some people there is no problem doing work wherever and whenever they can do their work, but for some people they must have a special place to be able to do their work so they can get satisfactory results for them. You are right, what we do, of course, is in accordance with the wages we get at work, it is very impossible for us to provide good quality work while we don't get good wages either.
I agree with both points. Personally, I do not like working around noisy environments but can be really productive when there is low volume jazz or chillhop music playing. As for the wages, of course that is an important factor. I will not enjoy working for a company that barely pays for the worth I am working and my time as well. I'm sure a lot of individuals will not as well.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: August 13, 2023, 11:20:32 AM

Agriculture has always been a great and reliance sources for so many countries growth.
In Africa, they ignore investing heavily on Agriculture. I still don't know why they all have a paper work on Agriculture but physical investment is very very poor.
If you can feed yourself then you can feed the world. A country that has not fed its self or citizen would want to compete in the world to feed the world.  Channel budget on to agriculture and see how great a country can become again. China invested heavily on Cassava having been supported but Nigeria but today they're one of the leading casava harvesters in the world because their government took upon itself not seek for help on something they can work on and be free from. African countries love to borrow , seek for help and purchase already made items thinking they can defeat poverty or hunger with that.
Agriculture is the key today and tomorrow.
I question that as well. Some countries who cannot even feed their own are pushing too hard to export goods despite the lack of food and supplies in their own country. Of course it is money talk but think of it this way, if those locals are fed properly, they will be more productive to work and will give a lot of help in raising the economy of the country.
1586  Economy / Economics / Re: People don't understand the problem with monetary system. on: August 13, 2023, 11:02:28 AM
Everyone wants to be wealthy and everyone knows the fact and the ways through which they can become wealthy but they are not able at start and surely they will do all these strategy one day as poverty does not persist always.

You have brought up important points regarding the challenges that people with limited income face when considering investments in assets like Bitcoin or Gold.  You are absolutely right in your observation, however there are ways to improve income through education and skill development. We all have witnessed many examples in our families and friends circles who successfully transformed their lives from unfavourable circumstances by actively pursuing education and improving their skill sets.

The present monetary system despite its weaknesses, doesn't pose obstacles for those who are resolute in their goal to make their lives better.
As unlikely as many will see it, this is true. It may not be as fruitful as the next person, but improving one's skills and pursuing education can lead to ultimate success. Sometimes with those two opportunities will be the ones to present themselves to you. Again, it doesn't always happen, but it is possible.
1587  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 13, 2023, 10:09:56 AM
Given the crowding of the market with hundreds of new projects and the emergence of new services or companies every day, I think that the number of investors or users of these services does not correspond to this large increase.

So my question is: is this market still profitable for new projects?

There is always room for improvement. The market is somewhat stabilised at the moment, so there is a bombardment of new projects. If the project is viable and has something innovative in it, I am sure it will be a success. The Majority of the projects in the market are old concepts with some newer versions. Until and unless the project is exceptional, it might not gain the attention of investors.
This is a given. New ideas and innovative ones can easily attract attention and will surely gather interest. With that many will buy and the rate of investors will for that product or services will rise. It's that simple. If your idea is nothing new then it will not be as interesting as the others cause it will not stand out. Buyers and investors loves new things.
1588  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: August 12, 2023, 11:24:16 PM
BC GAME IS A SCAM SITE.

I OPENED A ACCOUNT ON THE SITE AND I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ACCUMULATE MORE THAN A MILLIOM JB TOKEN ON BCGAME BUT WHEN I TRIED TO WITHDRAW THEM THEY REFUSED TO PAY ME.

I RUM A BLUG SITE AND IF YOU REFUSE TO PAY ME MY JB TOKEN I WILL WRITE SCAM AGAINST YOU AND DAMAGE YOUR REPUTATION.

STAY AWAY FROM THE SITE THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

No need to use capslocks and JB tokens are just an in-house token without any value. If you have a high enough vip level, you can use it to cover your withdrawal fees but otherwise you just use it to test out the games. So they are not scamming you in any way.

I cannot stop laughing hehehehe.

Has anyone also noticed that there is always a scam accusation in 90% of the threads of every casino trying to promote their business in the forum? Many of the scam accusations are also started by new accounts. This is head shaking. The skeptical me would think that these people are hired and funded by fiat sportsbooks and casinos to spam and attack gambling services that are native to the cryptospace.

Some of these people are those degenerates who don't have enough money to pay for their degeneracy. They'll throw in a random mix of false info, scam accusation, and whatever goes under the sun in hopes of the small casino throwing them a bone and having their fill. Usually these people don't matter, and when you don't give them enough attention, they'll lose interest and eventually move on to another casino and wreak their mini havoc there.

Also, these newbie accounts can just dip if shit goes from worse to worst. Nothing to lose, and definitely nothing to gain with the combined effort of the established members of the community and the casino trying to build their brand.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 12, 2023, 10:58:19 PM
Zucker already said that if there is something to have been agreed, it should come from him and not from Elon.
Elon continues to keep playing around he's going to be the villain between here. He kept getting away with such stunts when he could just say no to this fight. Since he keeps doing it, he really enjoys the attention.

On the other hand, Twitter is still more fun to use than Threads. I think that's more of a reason for him doing this.

He updated it even more:

This pretty much summarizes the attitude difference between musk and zuck. For Zuck this is about mma as a sport. He knows where he stands, he is a beginner and moving up by doing the work. And he knows that this event or sport wouldn't be about him and would like to move a spotlight to actual fighting experts. While Elon focuses on getting the attention and taking the credit for himself. And i can't believe i got to a point i am rooting for Zuck

I read Elon's tweets earlier saying that ONE or UFC wouldn't be allowed to organize this bout between him and Zuck. That doesn't sound right to me, as Elon's nor Zuck's camp aren't centered in anything related to fighting sports. It's obvious that it should be these two MMA organizations handle this fight, but apparently Elon doesn't want it to be that way and wants to make it about him and not about the sport. Even I couldn't believe that I'm rooting for Mark on this fight should it ever happen. He's constantly training and grinding to get better at the sport, while Elon just enjoys the publicity and doesn't seem to put in the hours and the work at all.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius (replacement) on: August 12, 2023, 10:40:49 PM
Obviously he is not a good replacement, but they will have to find a boxer that needs to cover and it just so happen that Helenius is there but then, not sure if he is battle ready or not.

Helenius is not a good replacement and he is not ready at all imho. Several days ago he had a fight against Mika Mielonen (a professional boxer with 6-1 record, but against poor boxers) and won, but Mika managed to get Helenius few times. If Helenius cant dodge, block punches from such average fighter and it took him 3 rounds to KO Mika, then Joshua gonna finish Helenius in first round, or in second, if sponsors would ask him for at least one advertisement to be aired during rounds Cheesy

That could indeed be a possibility, as AJ is seeking an impressive victory to reinvigorate his reputation. Many of the replacements are not top-tier boxers, often being seen as secondary options. While there are instances of surprise wins by replacements, such as Ugas against Pacman, it's important to understand that this isn't a championship fight. Consequently, I'm skeptical that Helenius could cause an upset in this scenario.

On a different note, we might witness AJ adopting a less aggressive approach, as excessive aggression could lead to carelessness and potential upsets. Instead, he might opt for a consistent strategy, which could possibly result in a late-round knockout.

You can't tell with these relatively unknown fighters. They might land a lucky hit that might result to a defeat to the favorite, though it would be a rookie mistake and careless on AJ's part to just rush in and throw a flurry of punches to Helenius. The dude is still a boxer, and he can throw in some punches alright, so it's entirely possible that one mistake from AJ might lead to another due to overconfidence. I'd like it to finish in a swift and convincing fashion, although I'd understand if Joshua takes his sweet time inside the ring with Helenius.
1591  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: August 12, 2023, 10:23:21 PM
Sometimes people are risk takers even though they have needs they will pursue their wants one example of it is those people who don't are in the middle to low class and they keep playing gambling even if they can not sustain their living from their perspective to hope to win a large amount but not it always happens in playing gambling always the house wins the game and the result is they didn't manage to hit the jackpot, lose their money and seek for a loan makes them to have debt.

That's why they take 'risks' - they want to win something from the little amount that they have in hopes of making it big and paying whatever needs to be paid and still keep some of that money. This is the start of problematic gambling for people: not being able to pay for their bills or expenses and then take risks in hopes of doubling their money. They win one time and think that they can do it again until such time that they go in debt and not be able to pay their bills and incur some debts on the side. I've seen it happen to some people and it's devastating how much destruction uncontrolled gambling cause to people.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 12, 2023, 09:56:35 PM
And in the last match NaVi vs Furia, I think that NaVi is going to win. Even with FalleN playing again I don't think the Brazilians are strong enough this year.
Can't take FURIA seriously again after the recent roster change, at least not in the tier 1 scene. They only won 1 match in Cologne play-in against Grayhound, and now have been struggling in the IEM Sydney Open Qualifiers. They lose to some random mix-team in the second open qualifier and don't even make it to RO-16. This new roster won't work sadly.

KSCERATO doesn't seem to be performing that well. I used to look up to this guy due to his insane clutches and entries. Art doesn't seem to be doing well either - well basically all of them. They struggle to find some good mid round calls and their strats seem to be so simple that it's easy for randoms to break them down. I'm not counting them out, they just have to find their groove and their coordination with each other.
1594  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano Ka Ba Manghikayat o Mag educate Sa Mga Kababayan Natin on: August 12, 2023, 02:44:32 PM
Failure comes but it also opens new paths of sucess for us.
1595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW DO WE TRANSFER BITCOIN WEALTH TO HEIRS AND THE NEXT GENERATION on: August 12, 2023, 01:52:05 PM
Well there's the traditional way of having a will but it's understandable that a third-party is involved if you have that since you need a lawyer to legalize transferring everything you own to your heir. If you want it to be more private there's paperwallet, your btc will be safe if you can physically hide the paper well and only your heir will be able to get it. It's a smart and subtle way of hiding your possession well.
1596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: August 12, 2023, 01:17:45 PM
The youth will be a key to bitcoins success, since they are willing to learn and use new systems. The older people are, the more used they are to common systems and it is more and more hard to try to convince them to adapt a new solution.
I’m my opinion there are a lot of young people in bitcoin, but most of them are not (yet) on bitcointalk. It would be nice to try to Bringen them there, since the quality of information on boards like Reddit etc is not as good.

Yes, young people, of course, have great potential to learn about BTC because usually young people have good  abilities, so of course they will understand quickly if someone teaches them about BTC. and of course they still have a long journey and a long life except by God's will he must die at a young age.

but i think btc is perfect for young and old alike. the important thing is there is a will and learning without stopping.
Exactly. In today's time age does not matter in needing money and wanting to have financial freedom. With the changes and overwhelming demands of the world it shouldn't be surprising that young and old individuals have the same drive to earn and save money. Therefore, if they are willing to learn and work hard then it shouldn't matter if they want to learn btc and the system.
1597  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: August 12, 2023, 12:15:40 PM
China, in particular, has recently used agriculture to boost it's economy. Currently, China's position in agriculture is very good, they have brought more development in agriculture by using advanced technology machines. Most countries are now dependent on agriculture.  Agriculture plays a very important role in the economic role of a country and agriculture is one of the most valuable sectors of a country. The government has now taken various steps to improve agriculture and farmers are being given better training. Therefore, the agricultural countries are producing good amount of crops through the use of advanced technology in agriculture and good seeds.
This may be true to some agricultural centered countries but there are still those who are doing not as good. For example, my country. It ish heavily centered in agriculture yet the budget for the agriculture sector is too low to support farmers and the country is now relying more on import goods to answer lack of food that could have been prevented if more care and assistance were given to farmers and their land.
1598  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we improve our country's economy by on culture or ecosystem? on: August 12, 2023, 11:59:10 AM
In reality fixing a nations economy is simple, it's not that hard, but people just don't want to do it. You need to cut down on the corruption, a lot less, probably zero if you could and then cut the taxes thanks to that, if you have no corruption then you do not need to do that much taxes. When all that tax is gone, everyone will have a lot more money and the nation will be richer and they will get to spend it and the economy will grow.

It's that simple, eradicate corruption and that means that you are going to end up with something that matters a lot. This should be the most important aspect of it and could be considered as the real key here, and that way it can improve a lot in the end when the time comes.
Eradicating corruption is not an easy thing to do as many people have talked about because this has become a culture for those who have the power to commit corruption and this will be very detrimental to many people, but we need to prepare various strategies so that it can be carried out well for us teach it to the younger generation and if we don't have room for it we have to start first from a small scope such as teaching our families about the dangers of corruption so they can carry it out in their lives.
Additionally, it is somehow already accepted by some, they have this mindset that for as long as the government officials are doing their job then they can pretend that corruption does not exist. But I do agree with you. It is up to us to start the move in teaching the effects of corruption to us and the whole country. It may not take effect as quickly as we want, teaching the younger ones about the effects and system of corruption will surely cause a wave of movement in the future that will affect the future of the next generation.
1599  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 12, 2023, 11:29:36 AM
I think it is still okay, there are some investors who only looking for new project so they can have chance to earn profit. I saw many dead coin in local exchange, that only matter of time the price of it become zero. the competition is getting tighter so the quality should be higher so those new project can get more investors.
If they are experienced investors, it is no problem to invest in new random projects. They know well how to take profits from the projects because they must already have enough experience. But for common investors or new investors, they are better to avoid to invest in new projects. Finding good new projects are difficult now, most of them just survive in a short time. It is not only about the competition, but the quality of new projects are decreasing. Many of them have weak fundamentals and have no clear future. We must be more careful to choose the new projects nowadays.

Right? Experience investors are more aware of what to look for and what risks they are getting themselves and their money into so investing in new projects are easier for them. However, new investors are still grasping the system and are more prone to getting scammed. That is why it is recommended for them to invest to already established projects.
1600  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 12, 2023, 11:13:42 AM
of course one day we will be old but of course we will continue to need money even though we are old and I think investing in btc for the long term is a good thing and we can enjoy it when we are old, but of course we must be prepared for the risks. and I also have btc and I plan to keep it until I'm old but of course the best investment is still in gold with the aim of not being affected by inflation, and I also invest in gold.

Bitcoin as an investment is good but like you said there are risks, but if you are already planning that when you get old then I'm sure you are already more than aware of those risks. And with that you should also be aware that having btc as your only source of income when you retire is a big no and should be accompanied by other more stable assets and investments. Good work on the gold investment btw, a good move from you.
