Received payment. Thx. Always a pleasure to do business with sardasa.
1582  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 180 blocks solved! on: May 23, 2016, 07:39:02 PM
Thanks Mikestang!
That is exactly what I am looking for!
1583  Economy / Services / Re: Completing Tasks for Bitcoin on: May 22, 2016, 08:55:58 PM
Honestly, most of the captcha sites/ ad click sites are very low paying.
I made about $8 US in the last week doing some jobs, but it probably took four or five hours, so its like $1-2 an hour, which is a fraction of what I make at my job.
Check out any of the posts by "sardasa" if you want to make $5-10. They are all pretty easy and he pays quickly.

I'm pretty sure that if you live in any developed country, its just easier to get a job, even if its minimum wage, than it is to make money online.
If you know about computers, you might be able to sell some services online.
Coding, remote troubleshooting, pen testing, etc might make you some actual money, just be sure you do work for someone you can trust to actually pay you!
1584  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: May 22, 2016, 08:21:01 PM
Wow 475MHz is insane!
Thanks for posting your pics this is a really interesting project.

I've got two running on stock power that are up to 190MHz.
Getting an average just below 20Gh/s on the two sticks. (Peaks to 25-27Gh/s but consistent 20Gh/s)
They havent had any hardware errors at 185MHz after about 24 hours. I'm going to see how close I can get to 200MHz with stock power/ cooling.
But I'm scared to push them any higher than that unless I have some additional fans and a powered USB hub.

Once I get these set to around 200 I might just let them run at Kanos solo pool and hope that I hit the jackpot.
(Not holding my breath but it would be amazing!)
1585  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 180 blocks solved! on: May 22, 2016, 07:59:35 PM
isn't the network currently 1.2 Eh? And in response to the guy wanting to run his own pool if you are knowledgably that is a good thing, I also suggest if you do set up any sort of pool, to use the relay network: http://bitcoinrelaynetwork.org/

Thanks for the link I will check it out.
I'm not actually looking to set up my own pool, I'm just interested in knowing what it takes to do so.

I feel like blockchain and similar ideas are very important technology.
I wish I got into it sooner, but there is still a lot of room for growth, and I want to be as educated as I can be in case a learning/ business opportunity arises.
1586  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 180 blocks solved! on: May 22, 2016, 02:09:33 PM
I'm going to do some google searches, but if Kano, CK or anyone can give some info as to what it takes to set up a mining pool like this, I would be very interested.
(I work in IT and really wish I got into bitcoin a long time ago its a really interesting subject)
Servers, load balancing, security devices like firewalls for port filtering, etc... I'm sure it takes a lot to run a good reliable pool.
Not to mention you guys wrote all the code custom?
I'm also reading all 290+ pages of this thread now to see if any of this has been mentioned before.
And I understand if there are some things you cant talk about for security reasons, obviously.
1587  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC TO GET VIP HERE? AM I DREAMING? on: May 22, 2016, 01:46:12 PM
I'm sure the only people who donated 50BTC did it a long time ago, when Bitcoin wasn't worth much.
Since they donated a long time ago, they have been on the forum a long time and the VIP status shows this.
We probably won't see any new users with this title unless they want to spend a lot of money to get it.
And that's okay.
1588  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Antivirus are you using? on: May 22, 2016, 01:38:59 PM
Again, I'm going to point out that Avast, and many other "free" antivirus are actually reading all your emails, and keeping track of every website you visit and everything you do there.

https://lelutin.ca/posts/avast_conducts_MitM_attack_on_users_and_encourages_bad_security_practices/
http://www.thesafemac.com/avasts-man-in-the-middle/

They are literally performing man-in-the-middle attacks by installing root certificates on your system and viewing all your encrypted traffic.
Several companies are doing this. I would have to look to find the list, but do some research before you install any free Antivirus.
1589  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just found a pc with bitcoins inside on: May 22, 2016, 01:24:29 PM
Hey if anyone finds a bunch of bitcoins and wants to share some for good karma, feel free to send me a couple! Wink

Maybe OP did find 1000 bitcoins. Crazier things have happened but without proof this might be another fish tale.
A screenshot with a transfer of 1000 coins would be easy to fake so idk how you would actually prove this or if you would even want to for legal reasons.
1590  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: (ANN) CryptoHydrant High Paying Faucet, 1000 satoshi 120mins on: May 22, 2016, 01:13:51 AM
I can confirm I just got payment and the transaction is verified. Smiley
Good site so far.

Only suggestion I have is this-
in the "Edit Profile" section you can set a new bitcoin payment address, but it might be helpful to see the address you already have set.
Also, if it was possible to see a payment transaction history for that address that would be amazing. (But not 100% necessary if it would use too many resources)
Other than that the site seems great I would rate at least B+ or A- so far.
1591  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: (ANN) CryptoHydrant High Paying Faucet, 1000 satoshi 120mins on: May 21, 2016, 11:06:03 PM
This is a well made site.
Looks nice, not a ton of junk adds so its easy to read.
Got 20000 satoshi and requested a payout. Will update when I receive payment but looks like payouts have been confirmed.
I have some suggestions for the site that I may post on the forum but things look pretty good so far!
1592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SWIFT hacked...again. What does it mean for Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2016, 10:30:02 PM
I heard something about the Bangladesh heist that they were investigating some bank officials, that it may have been an inside job.
Even if it was not, some institutions have outdated equipment, old code that needs to be reviewed.
And no matter how secure you are, someone can always get info through social engineering, spear phishing email campaigns, etc.
Its really amazing that you can make these transfers without some form of 2FA authentication.
1593  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for users from USA/CAN/AU/UK/FR/DE. Paying $0.25 BTC! (Paid: $2.25) on: May 21, 2016, 10:10:08 PM
Can confirm I was paid for this by sardasa. Smiley
1594  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Antivirus are you using? on: May 21, 2016, 06:20:02 AM
Antivirus might not stop very sophisticated/ targeted attacks, but at least its going to stop the majority of drive-by downloads, spam mailing campaigns etc.
I would suggest most people have some kind of antivirus.
That way at least they dont click on some link or forget to update flash player and automatically get malware on their computer.
If you know a lot about computers of course you can be fine without it, but most people aren't going to spend the time to configure all these things, use 2FA etc.
1595  Economy / Services / Re: Referrals/ Instatly 10.000 Satoshi and way to earn 300.000 Satoshi instatly on: May 20, 2016, 02:34:04 PM
Can anyone confirm they have gotten the 300.000?
1596  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dropbox malware? on: May 20, 2016, 12:19:50 AM
.js is a Javascript file.
I would definitely not open any files from a dropbox unless you know the owner and know the files in it are okay.
1597  Economy / Services / Re: Offer worth $4 ($3 from me + $1 from the site) - PointDollars (Paid : $9.7) on: May 19, 2016, 12:21:52 PM
Completed this and got the $3 from sardasa.
It was actually pretty easy to earn the $1 from the site. I completed 3 surverys which took about an hour total. It would have been quicker if I was more familiar with the site. You can do longer surveys which pay more, or get paid 0.02 to 0.05 for clicks on other sites.

I've done a couple offers with sardasa and can confirm he is trustworthy. Fast payment/ good communication and most of the work is easy. Smiley
1598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it even worth it in 2016? on: May 19, 2016, 12:13:44 AM
If you think of it as fun like playing some games at the casino its fine.
But you probably aren't going to make a lot of money mining bitcoins in 2016 unless you make a huge investment.
1599  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would any of u find this girl attractive? on: May 18, 2016, 07:27:18 PM
Who cares what a bunch of random people on the internet think anyways.
Make up your own mind.
You only live once. Wink
1600  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: May 18, 2016, 10:42:02 AM
Bitcoin will never replace fiat currency.
The governments would never allow it.
Ask Muammar Gaddafi what happens if you try to go against the US dollar. You can't because hes dead.
If bitcoin gets any more popular, don't be surprised when some bank or government really starts trying to replace/ discredit/ control it.
