1581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are Address Poisoning Scams? on: February 18, 2023, 11:02:26 AM
I did know that scammers make near to zero transactions to many different addresses but I had heard that they do it for tracking the addresses.
I always wondered what could be the reason someone would track the addresses but I guess the real reason is what OP has mentioned in his post.
Copying addresses is where many people in crypto community have made mistakes and lost their coins.
I have a general practice to copy the address from wallet and reverify every alphabet of the address after pasting.
It hardly takes a minute but saves us our precious coins.
1582  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 18, 2023, 10:50:12 AM
Because of this thread, I have a friend who works with me, I brought up the idea that I could play through a casino app. Where will she enjoy slots and poker and how does she prefer it, in a computer version or on a phone? She said yes, that it's more comfortable for her with an app, that she wouldn't enter a casino from her phone's browser for the world because she doesn't trust sites like this, but through an app she feels safer, and she has her point because for her it's better this way because she knows that when she goes into the app she won't be in danger of entering different urls.

That is a very valid point. Mobile browsers also displays annoying popups, redirects to different URLs, downloads automatically if not managed in settings etc...
On the other hand, mobile apps these days explicitly require us to grant them permissions to access our storage and settings.
Apps are easier to manage when compared to phone browsers. But it's always best to use desktop browsers instead for a better user experience.

-----

How do you know about that many gamblers want to use android application? Are they real players? I still believe that real players will still prefer playing in online casinos through web browser on their PC. I my self not attracted to gamble with android application, simply because I tried it in the past in fiat casinos but the experience is still much better when I play through web browser. So far I still unable to see crypto casino with a success of providing android application and I think it is not really wanted by players because most popular and reputable casinos are providing mobile version already which is more than enough for players if they want to play on the go with their phone.
yes, of course. in my city there are still many gamblers who often gamble using android applications.
If you compare with online casino players, of course more people like to gamble at online casinos for various reasons of convenience, etc.
I myself also prefer to gamble in online casinos and I use my mobile browser more often.

In essence, what is certain, to my real knowledge, is that in several places, of course, there are also gamblers who prefer to bet on Android applications.

It's true that many gamblers prefer desktop browsers for gambling rather than mobile applications.
The user experience in desktop browsers is far more better than mobile applications.
But at the same time there are also people who don't have enough access to desktop browsers and play on their mobile phones.
Since phones are easier to access, some people also gamble on their phones while traveling.

Arsenal vs Aston Villa will show it whether Arsenal is really capable of holding the ground or not.
Despite the poor performance from Arsenal they are still getting a good support from the community.
The odds are on the favor of Arsenal. Lets see Aston Villa steals the show or Arsenal really takes it up one step further.
Arsenal will go better against Aston Villa they can survive with a win. I'm sure that the slump will not continue because in theory Arsenal are currently quite good in terms of their game so maybe in this game they will move on with the points won.
Obviously we will focus on Arsenal as his favorite team, Arteta and his team will not let them drop any more points after the last 3 matches so I think they can extend the win again.
Arsenal are still in form. Their recent losses were due to overconfidence with less caution, just like the first two goals they conceded against City which was due to poor back passes. In performance they did better than City so against Aston Villa they won't want to make similar mistakes again. Arteta should have scolded his boys after the poor tackle in their last three games. Aston Villa should resume Arsenals winning streak starting from Aston Villa

I guess you are right. Over confidence can really degrade one's performance and that's what happened to Brazil in Fifa.
The same would have happened to Arsenal this time in the EPL. Only time will tell if Aston Villa really takes it away from Arsenal or not.
1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is suitable and reliable for staking? on: February 17, 2023, 04:13:30 PM
Whenever you have a list of options and you are confused which to invest in then just pick the top ranking ones and invest in all of them.
For example: from your list, pick 3-5 top ranking ones and invest in all of them and then start staking.
Diversification is the key when it comes to value investing. Diversification lowers the risk of liquidation and gives a better average return.
1586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 17, 2023, 04:06:02 PM
Between future and spot trading which will you opt in for. For me i think it is better to start with spot trading gradually observe how the market respond over time before moving into future trading. Both are indeed volatile and risky but i think spot which involves immediate buying and holding until price goes up to sell at a profit is more easier to start than making prediction on a price to either go up or come down on a later date.

Spot can be a nice start for newbies from what i have seen from the market so far. Since it only entails buying and holding until the asset appreciates just that it will only require patience since little or no technical skill is needed although with technical skill the trader can have more advantage over the market.

I know how much attractive futures trading can be when you start trading but once you get into it, only then you find out it's dark side.
It feels good when you invest a small amount yet see good amount of profits using a higher leverage.
The reality kicks in when the market goes against you and you start losing your money rapidly.
You save your positions by adding more funds to the trade but at one point you eventually give up and the funds are liquidated.
This happens many times to many people and the only solution to futures trading is to use a stop loss every time you trade.

I have learnt my lesson and stay away from futures. I stick to spot trading and enjoy lower profits with a peace of mind.
1587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I made my first $2000 through stock marketing on: February 17, 2023, 04:00:25 PM
My first experience about Bitcoin,
I was busy saying Bitcoin is a scam for about let me say 1 year and some month not untill a friend of mine was into forex trading so I visited him and I was watching what he was doing so one day he made a big hit for about $2000 for just a night. And That's what push me more to trade Bitcoin with forex trading I didn't pay to learn.
But now am not into forex trading am into stock marketing.
I buy when the price is low and sell when the price increaseses.
And That's how I made my first $1000

There are a lot of factors that come into play when you are trading. Your friend must have good skills to get a good amount of profit or he must be lucky.
You on the other hand, are starting to trade just now and you must pay attention to a lot of things.
You should start learning how to trade because if you don't then amount you won can be 10 times more in loss.
At the end of the day, if you are not learning from your trading experience then it is just gambling and not trading.
You should learn, adapt, overcome and improvise to sustain your growth in trading.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 17, 2023, 03:49:19 PM
How Arsenal reacts to that psychologically is of critical importance for their title fight. They had it in their pocket with 12 points difference at some point but now they have put it at a really big risk with their recent decline in performance in the last games.

If Arsenal wins this upcoming game it will be a relief from them psychologically as they will not be impacted that bad by the lost game against Manchester City but if they do not win this upcoming game, this will have a huge impact psychologically and it will be really bad for their title fight, most likely they won't recover if they lose this upcoming game.

BTW it looks like the price of BTC will always be bullish until the next halving
If there is a correction then it is just a way to make the price even higher, but will it be able that Bitcoin price to pass $30,000 this month? I hope it happens next month because I follow the BTC price prediction and my prediction is below $23,000 hopefully it will be like that and then it will go even higher.

It's still more than a year away from the next BTC halving, but the recent BTC pump up to $25k could really be a potential harbinger of a bullish trend. If that's the case, we can assume that $15.5k was the bottom, and we will never see BTC below that level again. As for betting, I wouldn't expect BTC to reach $30k by the end of this month. The range of $25k to $27.5k will probably be preferable to place bets on the freebitcoin site this time.

The ideal range would be either $22.5k - $25k or $25k - $27.5k the latter being the riskier.
We have seen the price was dumped at $25k and currently fluctuating around $24k.
I guess this time it is easier to bet on ETH price since the price is in the ideal range of $1500 - $1750.
Most probably it will stay in the same range until the end of the month.
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 16, 2023, 04:54:28 PM
Will people still use or buy bitcoin till today if all it has to offer is the decentralized characteristic only, I am trying to say that if bitcoin is stable in value from day one and has no investment ability will you still buy it?

if all it has to offer is moving money around and no volatility, will Bitcoin be your favorite still? Drop your thoughts and let's see.

I am thinking that the Volatile is what makes bitcoin a must have for almost everybody, think I am wrong?

And people won't see a reason to buy Bitcoin if there were no Volatility from day one.

At present, most of the people buy bitcoin because of it is being utilized as a store of value.
The price keeps changing, increasing over the long term which makes people to actually HOLD it for a longer term.
IF bitcoin was somehow stable, which it cannot be since it is decentralized, then people would still buy it and make transactions but just that they won't be holding it for longer terms.
They would be using it for day to day transactions which is the real motive why bitcoin was actually created.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 16, 2023, 04:32:45 PM
It is estimated that the bettors would have profited approximately R$ 2 million (~US$ 383,130.00). Shocked

The fraud involved bribes for players, and among the main actions, it was necessary for the player to commit penalties in the first half of the games that were played. Each player received R$ 150,000 per bet for this act (~U$ 28,734.00).

In fact, this makes it much easier to earn money from sports betting.

Unfortunately these are situations that occur in several countries, but the amount of money involved always calls our attention.
In these cases, bets were placed on the competitions that we call "Series B", which is the second largest football championship in Brazil, in which the best classifieds guarantee a place for the main championship in the following year.

Although it is very common in other games like cricket I have never heard it for football.
All I heard was football players are already paid huge amount for their games and so they don't even need bribes.
But I guess not all football players are paid such huge amounts. Bribery is common though.
We have already heard so many cases in so many games that it doesn't sound shocking now.

I’m getting very close to 200k RP’s and wish to continue my quest of reaching 1000k RP. If conditions are favourable by that time then I might just convert them to Satoshi. However, it is still my imagination. It’s gonna take years to achieve that level and convert.
That is a very impressive achievement, congratulations!

But be careful, the road to 1M RPs is really long, and once you reach this mark, there are serious risks bitcoin will be on a much higher price range, what can consequently make freebitco.in's staff team to reduce the currently exchange rate of 1 RP : 1 satoshi to something like 1 RP : 0,5 satoshi.

Also, these RPs could be already generating daily interest if converted to BTC.

Exactly !!!

If I were at this place I would simply exchange the RPs to satoshi once I reach the minimum target of 100k RP.
One thing which is obvious is that freebitco.in would not increase the exchange limit but it may or may not decrease the exchange limit as you have mentioned.
Example: It may become 1 RP = 0.75 sats or 0.5 sats but they wont increase it to 1 RP = 1.5 sats

So it's better to exchange it now while the exchange limit is reasonably well and enjoy the 4% APY on it.
Even if Flexystar exchanges it on regular intervals of 100 RP it will just be 10 times that he will have to do it.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing losses - Double down bet or Bet twice? on: February 16, 2023, 02:24:12 PM
I always have a dilemma when it comes to chasing losses in gambling. When I’m in the good mood, I preferred betting using the same amount multiple times until I hit a winning streak to recover my lose but when I’m in bad mood, I usually increase my bet size equals to my total lose so that I can recover quickly.

What do you typically do when you are on chasing loss situation?

That is what called as revenge betting. You are basically taking revenge by betting more than you can afford to lose.
You are chasing the loss without controlling your emotions which eventually lands you in trouble.
What I do is when I lose 3-4 consecutive attempts to recover the loss then I prefer to stop gambling for the day and come back next day.
This is how I control myself from over gambling and stay in the limits.
1594  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: February 16, 2023, 02:17:55 PM
I guess with tremendous growth, there are going to be more "complaints" of course.

As a matter of fact, BC.Game has always been an absolutely reputable online gambling provider that does an extremely good job and shakes up the industry. Their development in recent years has been crazy and if you look at their player numbers nowadays, it goes to show how well they have been doing.

Anyway, if anyone has a serious issue (legit one)and would like some assistance, feel free to hit me up.

No doubt BC.GAME has improvised a lot. We can notice that just from their new interface.
The developers have done a tremendous job in making BC.GAME the preferred gambling site for all.
The games, the interface, the support  etc... all of it combine to bring it on the top of the leaderboard.
1595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This should be bullish for Bitcoin and it's PoW on: February 13, 2023, 05:04:59 PM
Isn't the ban on staking in the USA supposed to be bullish for bitcoin and other proof of work crypto projects? I only heard not to stake on centralized exchanges but not the same for mining in the USA, so if you are in America you are free to fire on your Asic miners.  All Hail to PoW algorithm.

I think you have got it wrong. The news was that SEC is charging against Kraken for allowing users to stake on it's exchange.
As per the US laws and regulations it isn't allowed which is why they are charging up against Kraken.
This does not mean it is a good news for bitcoin. It simply means that US citizens won't be able to stake on exchanges.
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 12, 2023, 02:56:51 PM
Many people experience this at least once in their crypto journey. Investing in new projects is risky.
We have to really make sure we have done enough analysis on the project we are going to invest in.
This is the first time I have heard about this project. Whichever project I put my money in, I make sure it has a good team of developers and a great support from the community.
Their founders play an important role too and so its absolutely required that the background of the founders should be clean. Only then I invest in such a project.
1597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success in futures trading after long wait. on: February 12, 2023, 01:57:42 PM
I joined the futures trading platform a few months ago. There I buy 50 SOL 6x. After I participated, a bad news hit the market. And the bad news is that FTX is bankrupt. Then there was a huge loss on my futures trading platform. I continued to liquidation there without giving up. At one point while adding liquidation my total balance became very high and liquidation also came down and loss went to high level. The bloody year 2022 ends and in 2023 the market is slowly pumping and all my losses are recovered and I see profit.

That was indeed a huge loss that you have successfully recovered but you must know that what you have done is not encouraged in trading.
You haven't put any stop loss and kept adding funds to avoid liquidation which are bad signs in trading.
Also, once you have recovered the loss you are still holding your position instead of booking the profits.
I suggest you to book the profits and revalidate your analysis and then keep new orders with stop loss and target price.
1598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are there sometimes big difference between spot trading and futures? on: February 12, 2023, 01:47:21 PM
I know centralized exchanges aren't favorable choices but compared to other ones, I prefer to use Binance.
So, Skale Network (SKL) become an interesting coin for me recently. I usually bet on futures when I want 2x or higher leverage. I was looking at charts and SKL price on Binance Spot trading was 0.069 while the price of exact coin on USD-M futures was 0.06 USDT. Usually, prices are almost identical when I look at both chart but this time it wasn't different. I talk the situation that happened 2 days ago. Date: 2023-02-10 19:00 UTC. The price didn't increase during that day on Futures.
Anyone knows what's the reason behind it? I'm not too much experienced in trading. Why was there a 15% difference in prices on the same exchange between spot and futures?

Spot and futures market are different from each other. Both have their own set of traders placing orders.
So it's quite possible that both the markets have different prices

Quote
And another question:
At the same time, coinbase had way better rates than Binance. Is it legal to buy tons of coins on Binance, withdraw, deposit on Coinbase and immediately sell the coins, then buy USDT and withdraw on Binance again?

That is what called as Arbitraging. While it is possible to do it with spot trading, it cannot be done with futures trading.
Earlier people used to get a lot of arbitraging opportunities but these days the opportunities are very low.
Even if you find such an opportunity, the moment you buy and withdraw from one site and deposit on other site the price will become identical again.
The time gap between buying and then depositing makes it enough for other traders to match the current price.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features in Crypto Casinos for the Elderly on: February 12, 2023, 01:28:04 PM
I visited an uncle in another city. His birth year was 1960. He has been an avid gambler for a long time and frequently visits brick-and-mortar casinos. He currently wants to test out an crypto casino. He has heard a great deal about it. He did, however, note that despite possessing the cash, he has no knowledge of how to use cryptocurrency for gambling but would really like to. I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?

I don't think that is necessary because deposit and withdrawal work the same way on almost every site.
If anyone wants to learn about how deposits and withdrawals work in crypto then they can simply dig it up on YouTube.
There are plenty of videos describing how to make transactions and how to use wallets.
Deposit and withdrawing from a casino site will work ghe same way and its just that interface is a little different.
But even that problem will be solved when the user keeps interacting with the site.

I believe it's struck your mind sometimes to be conscious of what your doing investing in bitcoin thinking it might vanished over night like ponzi skims or the current bearing down threads that has happen over without reversing, if you like if this stuff keep going down, I will sharply and smartly take off my investment but guy's there is good news I guess but I don't have the technical and fervent knowledge of cryptosystem, that's while we are throwing threading questions to the forum, bitcoiners, gurus of the business to expatriate of it.

So guy's what do you think?
What's your ideas and knowledge?
What's the hope of Bitcoin for our future generation?
What's do we expect fears or braveness?

Your questions are genuine but if you really want to know the answers to your questions then you should start reading more about bitcoin.
Surely you will get many answers on this thread now that you have raised your queries but the difference will be huge if you find the answers by yourself from reading about bitcoin.
Start reading the tech behind bitcoin. Not only all your questions will be answered but you will start believing in the tech and this will make you hold your coins with more determination.
