All these animated gifs... Makes me wonder about the average age of bitcoiners.
What do you think this thread is for?  Grin

Well... The original poster wanted to keep this thread clean. All these people posting random pictures should be ashamed of themselves. They won't be, I know, but they should.

Sigh.... Kids.  Smiley

165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many Fiat users are Mentally Ill ? on: February 17, 2015, 09:33:57 PM
Well, I'd think there are more mentally ill Fiat users than Bitcoin users, if you're talking about raw numbers.

If you talk about percentages... Well...  Lips sealed

It's a stupid discussion anyway, not worth the space on this board.

-fart-

I hate to post the same image twice on the same day like Trollchop, so here's another one.

-again a stupid meme-

You're really good at creating constructive posts that add to the discussion, huh?
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2015, 05:57:16 PM

Why is that? (Genuine question)

I hate that I have to say that it's a genuine question, it should be the default assumption.

I am a early member and i am a blind bulltard too

Still doesn't change the sad fact of the bulltards losing $1000 per coin

Why do you call them bulltards? Why must you people insist on being (or trying to be) rude?
I just don't get it.
You know you'll never hurt anyone by calling them bulltards.
You know you just sound childish when you call them bulltards.

Why?

Don't try and reason with it

He probably just got burned and decides to waste his time shitting on other people

Ignore is your friend Smiley

I forgot about that button!  Cheesy
Thanks, ignored.

170  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun way to LOSE. With multiple endings! on: February 17, 2015, 05:22:24 PM
I think what OP means is that when you gamble you'll always lose in the end.
Which, if the "casino" is built correctly, is very true. I've learned it the hard way as well.
You think "it's possible to win! I can make back all my losses if I just have one lucky streak!". If you think that, you've already gone too far.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2015, 05:05:42 PM
Not bearish or bullish, just an observe, but I think this will be corrected as well.
It happened yesterday, I think it will happen now, as well.

just done something really stupid  Undecided

Got an email from support@localbitcoin.com saying my account had been flagged for fraudulent activity.

checked my account and nothing, opened up electru grabbed an address and then send my funds to the wallet. incoming transaction.

check the support desk no ticket. check back at email and obviously the link contains a hidden phishing address, phew close call but all is safe.

Go to electrum to send my funds back over to LBTC, need them to have online adverts active, upon entering the password all i get is invalid.

Turns out i sent them to a wallet that was generated on the 6th of December on my run around laptop and i don't appear to know the password at the moment  Cool tried several combinations but nope..... must have been feeling smart that day and NO i did not right down the seed as i was actually generating the wallet whilst giving my friend a step by step run down on how to setup electrum, why i didn't follow my own instructions of remembering password and keeping a copy of the seed safe i will probably never live down  Embarrassed

who's the local brute force expert?

Thank you very much to those who pointed me in the right direction! big thanks to the devs of btcrecover, great little tool!

If you don't want to use the apple ecosystem then it is perhaps not the best choice. You sort of have to go with the flow.

the flow

looks like the same people keep on buying the next big thing shit Apple spits out

It's easy to sway these kind of results your way. This does not prove anything.

(I did not read the whole fee algorithm yet.  I have been told that it depends also on the number of bytes of the transaction, on the third letter of the address, on phase of the Moon, on the temperature of blockchain, and on the number of handshakes that separate the owner from Satoshi Nakamoto.  I imagine that PayPal and VISA will want to adopt these rules too.)

Thanks for that chuckle  Cheesy
Now I'm wondering... How many handshakes am I separated from Satoshi?  Tongue

I get the feeling that people without an Iphone are more hung up on its role as a status symbol than those who own one.

I think it's more down to the bizarro smugness of their owners than their desirability. There are plenty of other phones that cost just as much.

Have you ever met someone (and I don't mean online) who owns an iPhone?
All I ever hear is people calling iPhone owners smug, but in my opinion it's the Android owners that are smug!  Grin

Yes. They were pleased with their choices and I applaud it. I didn't applaud spending ten minutes listening to them trying to convert me. I'm a neither person at the moment.

Same thing with Android fans (over here, anyways). Everytime my phone is a bit slow, or acting weird when I'm showing it to someone, they're like "LOL Apple.". I mean, sure sometimes it's a bit slow, but this phone is a very old one now and I've seen more Androids lag than iPhones.
Besides, if I see an Android lag, I don't try to make fun of the operating system or whatever. What's the point? If you want to buy a smartphone at the cheapest price possible, go ahead. If you want an expensive one but still an Android, go ahead. If you want an iPhone, go ahead. Nobody's stopping you.

You shouldn't get shit just for having a certain kind of phone.

Back on topic: we're at 233USD right now. Will a correction follow or is 233 the new 238?

The overwhelming majority of the world can't afford Apple or thinks those who advocate their products are nincompoops. It's a bit of fraying tinsel on a system that is not engaging with the world at large.

+1

When will the endless barrage of crap stop? People are capable of making their own decisions.
