161  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: November 08, 2017, 04:39:44 PM
The stock market is 70% overvalued ... crash now inevitable

Author Charles Dickens' classic, A Tale of Two Cities, begins this way: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness ... ."

According to one stock market analytical firm, GMO, today's market behavior resembles Dickens' book, which was published in 1859 and was set during the time of the French Revolution some seven decades earlier.

As the firm noted, in recent days much of the investing and financial world was focused on a meeting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, attended by Federal Reserve chairperson Janet Yellen. But GMO analysts were watching other things and events happening in the market.

In August, the firm noted in its monthly report – reproduced in part by Zero Hedge – that Shiller P/E, a respected metric for measuring U.S. equities valuation, surpassed 27. Given that normally its range is somewhere slightly above 16, it appears that valuations are looking a bit larger than they should be.

What's more, GMO noted, the last time the Shiller P/E was above 27 was in October 2007, "and we all know how that movie ended," the GMO report said.

'A tale of mediocrity, at best'

And though no one at the analytical firm is saying that the nation and the world are set to experience another Great Recession and near-meltdown of the global economic order – and nothing is written in stone saying that stocks are not allowed to become more expensive – "we continue to maintain our bias against U.S. stocks," the firm said in its report.

At the same time, the firm said, it was tracking a widening disconnect between fundamentals of the U.S. economy, corporate America and their stocks. "It really is a tale of two cities," the analytics firms said, "one of mediocre fundamentals versus a meteoric rise in markets."

In assembling some relevant metrics pertaining to the overall health of the economy and some top-line/bottom-line figures from the S&P 500 index, the firm looked at gross domestic product growth, productivity and household income, in addition to some others like revenue and earnings for U.S. stocks, just to round out the assessment.

"It is a tale of mediocrity, at best," the firm wrote in its report.

After that, analysts contrasted those metrics with actual market returns of the S&P 500 Index spanning the past five years. "Truly meteoric," the firm wrote, adding this caveat: "As an aside, we at GMO have always been leery of drawing too many investment conclusions from staring at economic data–we are more valuation-oriented, after all–but even we are struck by the divergence."

Cool
Bitcoin is a good investment now, because as we can see the pricing is much higher than before and it is continuing to increase in the next years. To sum it, you can possibly have 10x (times)  investments by now.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 07, 2017, 12:35:19 PM
Absolutely, because there are no major trigger that caused the price to go up and yet the price going up so high in an instant, this case usually going to end up in correction, but within the new breakthrough there will be new bottom limit, but I still surprise to see the price keep on increasing in the middle of the multi-fork event
Yessss. Im shocked when i opened my wallet having nitcoin on it. The amount is  added and when i see the conversion from bitcoin to peso it really shocks me. And leads me to convert it to make sure it will not go back to its original price.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 07, 2017, 10:18:57 AM
I heard people said that Bitcoin's profit is higher than profit of drug dealer, weapon dealers or profit of real property or any kind of stocks. Is that real ?

No, that's not true... especially as a blanket statement.  Sure you can find individual cases where that may be true, but the drug, weapons, real estate and stock markets are measured in the trillions.
It means in the real short-time but Bitcoin already made a huge profit than any other kind of investments. Like in 6 years and the profit is nearly 700 times.
Yes i agree. Bitcoin is really profitable. By simply posting here in many threads and answering some topics or questions you can make money by your own by the stakes you get in a particular campaign you joined in. Also by reaching a required posts a week is the reason why you can get stakes every week. More posts more stakes more shares in the bounty campaign you joined.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: November 01, 2017, 10:59:39 PM
Welcome to Bitcoin and to the Forum!

The questions you're asking are great ones. However, they're also questions that you can find answers to REALLY easily on this forum or Google. I'd encourage you to do some reading here and then come up with some more specific questions.

I can help get you started with some simple answers.

Why would I invest in bitcoin? All sorts of reasons ranging from pure curiosity to love of new technology to investment diversification. Bitcoin is used as currency to buy things and as a store of value, i.e., a place to house your savings with hopes of value appreciation or hedging against the depreciation of stocks or savings held in fiat currency. One example often used is that of Cyprus. Are you familiar with the country of Cyprus and it's severe monetary crisis from a few years back? It was so bad that the Cyprus government controlled how much money their citizens could take out of their banks. Think about that. That government telling you that you can't access your very own money! How scary is that? Bitcoin offers an alternative. No government (currently) can seize control of your bitcoin, this represents safety and security.

What's the difference between bitcoin and dollars? Bitcoin isn't regulated by any government. It isn't created "out of thin air" as fiat currency is. There will only ever be a finite amount of bitcoin, which controls it's value. Once all bitcoin is mined there will be 21 million in existence, that's it. No one can ever create more (as is done every year with fiat currency). When fiat currency is created by central banks they reduce the value of the existing currency in the market, which results in inflation of prices. This is why the price of every day things (that haven't changed in 50 years, like groceries or utilities) have gone up in price over time. There's a lot of other differences, but it's better for you to read up on them.

Why would I gamble with bitcoin? I don't, but if you want to you can gamble for significantly smaller portions of money (like cents as opposed to dollars or tens of dollars). And you can do it from the convenience of your computer.

Here are a few links for you to explore:

Feel free to respond with other questions. I think you'll get better response if you educate yourself a bit first and then come back with more specific questions.

Have you bought any bitcoin yet? Do you have a wallet yet? (If you don't, PM me and I'll set you up and give you some bitcoin)

Good luck to you!
You can easily enumerate the difference between money and bitcoin because real.money is touchable and the price is stable while bitcoin is digital and needs internet to access it and the value of bitcoin is unstable.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: November 01, 2017, 10:18:36 PM
[...]

You will have to find out for yourself if you are willing to take the risk of buying at the $ 3K mark. If you are in for a long term investment personally I don't think you will regret buying now. If you are aiming for the absolute bottom then at least wait what the weekend will bring you.

[...]

It is worth noting that hitting the absolute bottom is as easy as hitting the absolute top, ie. it takes a lot of skill and luck to make the right call. So if you feel the need to enter the market, consider buying in step by step. However remember that this may be beginning of a long term bear market, so while I personally am fairly positive that we're going to recover in a few weeks it may take years until you're able to turn an actual profit.
This is the right time to buy bitcoin because as of now the value of bitcoin rises up into $6500 and it is so good for many traders and bounty hunters like me. Because more income is coming.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: November 01, 2017, 04:27:24 PM

In four years, IBM says that 66% percent of banks expect to have blockchain in commercial production and at scale.

If this statement of IBM is true, then this clearly tells us that buying bitcoins today will give you good future.

Because IBM as we know is one of the company who are leading in technology trends.
The reason why you should buy bitcoin now is that bitcoin price is rising high and it is good for users so you should buy it because its more valuable. Or even earning here is good for users and bounty hunters.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 03:09:53 PM
since you are saying that you are looking for the long term and that you will hold then I guess you don't need an advice
the majority people here believe that when we are talking about long term ( long term like 5 years or so ) bitcoin should worth more than what it's today
it's up to you at the end , but most people here would say that yeah bitcoin is a good buy for the long term
I think if you know how to invest you should invest now and do not wait. This is the right time to invest because as you can see the value of bitcoin is rising up.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 01:47:10 AM
You can also sell online and accept Bitcoin as a payment method. I also pay for website hosting using bitcoins for an extra added layer of security.

You can buy practically anything with cryptocurrency. Dubai is also selling condos for 250BTC which are located in private islands. The sky is the limit of what you can buy with cryptocurrencies.

Ofcourse the common use of bitcoin is to pay things that youd buy. We all know that bitcoin has many uses. Whether in business or in tradings. In buying things.
169  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Palagi Ka bang Biktima ng Scams? on: September 28, 2017, 04:38:16 PM
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 28, 2017, 04:27:34 PM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

No, I won't. Because, Bitcoin's industry is volatile. Any moment the value of a Bitcoin can depreciate and in return it would incur a loss in my side. Since it's decentralized how would you deduct your Government mandated benefits and tax? I know it's an advantage for not paying any taxes but what about other benefits from the Government? A company can't pay the Government in Bitcoin. As well as Bitcoin is not yet legally accepted worldwide.
I dont think so. We all know that bitcoin value is unstable and the stability of it is the disadvantage of bitcoin i think. We cant predict that it will last for a long time. As i said the value of bitcoin is unpredictable when it was getting high or low.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2017, 04:11:20 PM
I was actually making an ALTcoin with my kid's name as the altcoins name, her first name as the unit, her picture on the wallet... Actually went fine untill i tried to compile a windows QT wallet. :-(
Hmm. I disagree abkit teaching bitcoin to a child. I think its better for them to enjoy their chilhood days instead of taking sideline like this. Yes i agree that earning here is easy but about teaching in children i dont think so.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 28, 2017, 01:50:04 PM
What does being smart means? One can be smart and he can act very strategic, but if the luck is not with him and he's not luck, he can't do anything on crypto market. You should be luck first.

And then you should be able to investigate the market opportunities without getting bored.

Why should you be lucky first? Everything in life takes skill. If someone relies on luck even if they win then it will not be as beneficial as someone who earns with hard work.
Yes i agree. I think skills is important in this kind of business or job. You should know how to access bitcoin. Because it will be beneficial to a person if you have enough knowledge to earn here. You need to be strategic in the way of earning youll do here.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: September 28, 2017, 12:12:35 PM
i had about $200 worth of bitcoin.
How can i earn more with that amount?
should I trading? or make an investment?
and please give me some trusted site to investing my wealth.

**i dont want to give a loan, or else.**

if you had some advice, feel free to tell me.
really apreciate it.
thank you.

It depends on what kind of investment do you preferred. If you will make it as an investment, make sure you really like well that kind of investment. But regarding to your statement about "trusted site", it looks like your only known investment is by investing it in a site like hyip or ponzi investment. Well stay away from them.

I want you to entered the world of trading. Your capital is worth enough to try this kind of method to earn bitcoin. Yes it's not for beginners but all traders came from a beginner one. As soon as you are building experience, you will improved yourself in trading.

How to start? Well first how you know well when you hear the term "trading"?
Ill go for investing. I think it is much better that trading because in investing you need to give shares or what. In trading you need to wait for thw right time to trade that token.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: September 28, 2017, 07:35:00 AM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
You can think again, Does bitcoin replaced by another cryptocurrency. Maybe you already know the answer.  One main reason bitcoin is a mother of another cryptocurrency it's difficult to replace it for now . but nothing is impossible.
I dont think that will happen because bitcoin is the most trusted currency as of now and many investors preferring to it as a business or a job.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: September 28, 2017, 02:47:18 AM
I think it is really good that most of the people don't know what is bitcoin. This means that we are among the 1% (not sure about the percentage) of people that have known bitcoin sooner. That time when all of people know what is bitcoin and need that for their life, the price will be much higher than today. So we will be rich.

Totally agree with this, just imagine if bitcoin spread out through out the world. People would panic and would want to learn how to earn BTC, the competition on earning bitcoin would be too high. The tendency is, earning through bitcoin would be lesser.
Yes i truly agree with that. Most of the people prefering field job becuase theyre not yet know about bitcoin today. That earning here is better and easy instead oftaking field job. I think it will be helpful to them especially in financail aspect of their life.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: September 26, 2017, 05:56:22 AM
children doesn't need to know about currency, but teenagers does, and i think there's so many explanation video in youtube so don't wasting effort wasting your time when you can just give them about the link of video so they can learn from it,whether they will be interested or not,it's definitely depend on them
Yes i disagree to share bitcoin in children but in teenagers we can. Because children is not knowledgeable. Teenagers can but they experienced difficulties on understanding this. But they live in the new world where technologies are being innovated and its easy for them to access that so i think they can get it.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: September 26, 2017, 05:19:31 AM
Well with one snap of bitcoin it cannot end the worlds' problem which is poverty. It is always up for the people to move by themselves. It is on the people that is on that situation, it is up to them if they still wanted to live or they wanted to die as poor. There are a lot of stories I've read saying that there were many people born as poor but died as rich. Well for them to end their poverty using bitcoin they need the literacy to do it. At least they need to be media literate to deal with this.
I dont think so. It is so broad to help the world in this kind of sick in our society which is poverty. Bitcoin cant suppport everyone to sustain our needs. Because some rich people are greedy and not thinking the state of other people.

Una talaga di ko alam to eh.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: September 25, 2017, 01:45:40 PM

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink

Taking the control of money away from the gov so we can have donation based public services in the future.  This will attract people who actually want to work for the public for the right reasons and not just power/money.
What i like best about bitcoin is that bitcoin is profitable and i can earn money easily. By simply joining in a signature campaign. Mostly a bounties to earn larger income.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: September 21, 2017, 05:56:21 PM
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.

My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?

first there needs to be some place they can "use" bitcoin at. if we want to talk about usage. then if there is a place to use bitcoin just the way there is a place to use credit card, even if "regular citizens" don't understand the technology behind bitcoin they can use it with their phone Apps, with their third party services that make it easier and so on.
Yes ofcourse just like me. Im only a student and i dont have any job or any sideline but bitcoin is here to help me what i need which is money for my daily expenses. In school or even in our house. I dont spend my bitcoins in unnecessary things. I most prefer to save it.
