161  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: February 04, 2024, 01:56:19 PM
I totally agree with you. Most young adults and teenagers nowadays tend to spend their money on things that can give them short-term happiness, like drinking, partying, or anything that will make them happy. They are living their best life because they are young. "You only live once" is what others said. I am not saying that it is bad, but what I am trying to say is that it is too much and can cost you in the future.

They can save some of the money they spend. But saving alone cannot guarantee them a good life when they get old or retire. They can combine saving with investing. Invest in things that they think can last longer, things that will have more value in the years to come. Or build a business that can help them increase their monthly income. If you combine these three with discipline, you'll have more when you retire.

But like I said, too much of anything is bad, so don't just focus on the grind but also keep living in the present and enjoy life. It is all about balancing your life.
162  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 1xbet Scamming Pilipino sportbettors on: February 04, 2024, 01:27:25 PM

163  Economy / Economics / Re: Quitting Smoking Has Two Big Benefits. on: February 03, 2024, 03:08:56 PM
Wow! Congratulations on your dedication to stopping your addiction. Deciding alone to stop is hard, and continuing to do it and be consistent about it is much harder. Also, that's a clever idea to save the money you used to buy cigarettes and use it to buy bitcoin. $90 for cigarettes? That's a lot! $90 for 3 months, plus you are buying some using some of your salary, then I guess you've been stacking a lot in your bitcoin asset. Also, doing this benefits your health; you are hitting two birds with one stone. One is the significant change in your health and the increase in your bitcoin holdings.

I hope you will do more in the following months, be more consistent in what you do, and I hope that you won't get tempted to smoke again. This small step of yours is maybe the big step you need to change your life.
164  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: February 03, 2024, 01:47:26 PM
Para sakin eh, billboard is an effective way to advertise things. Pero billboard alone can't persuade the people to use bitcoin or crypto. Need pa rin nila maintindihan how it works and how to use it.

Sadyang hirap lang siguro sila magtransition or to adapt sa crypto kase nga bago and syempre stick sa traditional. Which is wala namang mali ron pero we need to adapt to newer technologies to become a better human. For the future, for us people.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silly and scary questions, and what would you do if that were you. on: February 02, 2024, 01:36:40 PM
In this situation, I think what you should do is. First, scatter all your assets on different wallets; wise people always say, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket," so if ever you're put in this kind of situation, you can give just one wallet address with the least amount, so all your assets won't be stolen away.

Also, it is a good thing that you let your family members or loved ones know your address, so if ever this happens to you and you get killed (hoping not), at least your family members can have what you lost.

But for precautionary measures, just don't spread the idea that you have a sizable amount of bitcoin or some crypto, even with your friends or family; broadcasting your finances and wealth is very risky. You don't know who has bad intentions toward you. This is better because you're preventing that kind of thing from happening.
166  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 02, 2024, 12:57:20 PM
Maganda sana ang Lakers kaso wala pala sina Lebron and Davis.

49-44 lang ang score, lamang pa ang lakers ng 5 points less than 5 minutes in the first half.

Sayang talaga 'to, di ko tinayaan kahapon, mga nasa x5 odds ata ang nasa Lakers wala pang announcement if maglalaro davis and james.

167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: February 01, 2024, 10:57:08 AM
In that case, I think you should take a break for a little bit. Losing too much causes you stress, and it will make your decision-making less effective because you have this urge to get back on track and recover all the losses you have.

I think what you need to do is count all your losses (if you want to recover all of them) and cut them into little parts so that they won't be overwhelming to look at. A small amount makes it easier to achieve, right? But if you don't want to recover it, just move on and start again.

When you want to gamble again, be disciplined; do not let greed take over. Set an amount that you are okay to lose, so it won't take a toll or you won't be sad when you lose it. Second, set a goal for how much money you want to achieve because being greedy when gambling can affect our decision-making.
168  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ginamit nanaman ang crypto sa kasamaan on: February 01, 2024, 10:42:58 AM
Para sakin eh talagang pag naririnig mo ang salitang bitcoin and crypto currency ay behind those are may maiisip kang pwede magamit to sa masamang paraan. Because some of the bitcoin's or crypto's feature, isa na ron is ang mga users are identified by addresses instead of personal information, this will make it challenging to track kung sino ang mga individuals behind those addresses. Isa pa ron is decentralized nga ang mga cryptocurrencies, it makes them resistant to control by any single authority. Kaya cryptocurrencies can be used in some illegal activties like money laundering, scams, at ayan ngang paghingi ng ransom.

169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: January 31, 2024, 03:25:30 PM
Losing when gambling is no fun, especially when you're on a losing streak. You'll get depressed whenever you see all the money that you lost, and sadness will start to cripple you, and that's when happiness will start. You will now find ways to get back on track, and you'll be more disciplined in your betting.

Also, the fun is taking the risk to try more; you don't know whether it will hit or not. The anticipation and thrill of the mystery that is about to unfold are the enjoyable parts. This will cause adrenaline, and the risk and uncertainty associated with gambling can cause an adrenaline rush. This may be appealing to some individuals.

The other thing is that some people use gambling as an escape from reality. Gambling provides a temporary escape from everyday life. The focus on the game, analyzing things, and the potential for big wins can serve as a distraction for a short period of time.
170  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Umaarangkada na ang Coins.ph on: January 31, 2024, 02:25:43 PM
Expanding worldwide is nice since maraming pilipino around the world.

Kaso there are some cons na I think need nila i-improve to contain and attract the users. Dati nung user pa ko ng coins.ph eh, madalas kong problema dyan is yung late na conversion nila madalas lugi ka pa when you convert eh, isa pa ron is yung mataas na fees pag nag-dedeposit ka. Nag-pasok ako non 500, dumating sakin around 400+ nalang. Also, pag naging inactive account mo, idedeactivate nila then pag na deactivate need mo magbayad para ma-activate ulet. Looking at that syempre mas gugustuhin mo nalang gumamit ng iba.

Pero looking at that eh, ang good thing on coins.ph expanding worldwide eh they can increase the market reach, they can tap into new markets and serve large customer base. This can also open doors for partnerships with other stakeholders, enhancing the company's credibility and reach. Isa pa nga eh they can play a key role in global remittances at pwede sila mag offer ng cost-effective and efficient cross-border transactions.

Also coins.ph is a good alternative since mababan ang binance here sa ph.

I hope three of them (Coins, Gcash and Maya) will be better in the near future, para satin and para sa lahat.
171  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art contest "New Year/2024" | $2500 up for grabs! Ends Jan. 31st on: January 31, 2024, 11:31:12 AM
We'll see a lot of new entries in the next few hours, even before the contest ends.
So no extension of time is required.
Yeah, I know that people are submitting during last few hours but I guess this time is quite different.

The reason for entering the Work near closing is so that there is no plagiarism of the same idea,
so that all art work ideas are completely original and different from each user.
This will become more exciting and more and more unique works will appear.
I get it. Let's see what happens in the next hours.

I'm on some finishing touches on my artwork, just thinking if the contest extends I can add more details to it.

Hi @Hhampuz!

Seeing a low submission rate for the art contest, would it be possible to extend this contest for a week? TIA
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 25, 2024, 06:33:36 PM

I like to ask if anybody here were able to bet on Suns live when they are down like 15 points or more, what was the moneyline odds at that time?
Yeah I won betting with +7.5 to end the 1st half, it's hard to bet that on the regulation time since Luka is some kind of Rhytm player, once he hold of it he's not gonna stop shooting and scoring. But it turns out to be a very nasty introduction to their defeat today. I'd hate to think that Dallas is gonna lose it this year even they have Luka and Irving, these two are scoring machines. One thing for Phoenix Suns, it's looking good with KD playing like that, I got to watch him yesterday as well with that game winning clutch.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 25, 2024, 06:12:05 PM
Most people jump into things that they do not understand, that's why.
Then for him it is not trading. When you don't know what you are doing and still go at it, it is called gamble out of your luck.

A friend of mine just lost 5 thousand dollars at margin trading, which makes no sense to me because he wasn't a person who traded margin before that, so why would you want to start something you are so newbie about and put up that much money?
But I think he researched firsthand before going in, it is absurd to just put your money especially that amount of money without you knowing anything. I wanna know if how long did it take to lost that kind of amount  Huh

The possibility of making 5k+ was also there, so he got greedy. So, people get greedy and do things that they should not do, which ends up resulting with them not making money and losing it all. There are few simple steps to not fail, one is do not do anything you are not well versed in, make sure that you know what you are doing, and secondly it would make sense if you do not risk more than you should know your limits as well.
Ohh, so he's actually a 'superman' type of guy who want to knockout everyone and get the 5 grand as soon as possible. As a friend, you should guide him and ask to read and learn more before diving into the market.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 23, 2024, 05:27:57 PM
On the other hand he got those 70 in only 37 minutes and with only 1 made 3 pointer. Normally if you see these super high scores there are plenty of 3s going with it.
Anyway, big night it was indeed!

Embiid and Towns both gave their best tonight and managed to reach new career highs with their personal scores in a single game. But Embiid's 70 points are way more historical since he clashed with Wemby and it won't be forgotten unless he makes another even more personal score in the future versus Embiid in their next game next few years from now. If only he could shoot more threes and make it count in that game, surely he will be able to surpass Kobe's 81 points but let's just wait for it maybe next time it would be possible since big men nowadays are both dominating inside and outside the 3 point-line as well.

What I think about Embiid's 70-point career high tonight was an exclamation point and part of welcoming a rival center position in the league. We saw the video of him getting near with Wemby and was shocked on his height, absolutely terrifying as a center on his POV but he got more mass and muscle that could easily get the advantage in the paint in terms of power and force to get offensive and defensive rebounds.

What should we be looking now is the Miami heat acquiring Terry Rozier, we know Rozier's impact with Hornets and now he's in a team with higher championship chances.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Roller Coaster feeling When You Gambling on: January 22, 2024, 07:32:40 PM
An hour before going to a casino?
Just planning out what to play and feel excited

After logging in and pulling out the games you are about to play?
I'm not so sure, I don't really think about this stage, hoping to win I guess?

While playing?
It depends if im winning or losing haha

After you experience successive losses?

I feel bad about it, rethinking some strategies - This is where most of us feel greedy on staking much higher than early stages

After you won successively?
Feeling motivated? or lucky? if I win successively I'd probably log out or go shopping

After you log out whether you win or lose?
You'll see me in a mall or restaurant if I win and home if I lose, there's no way but home or bed playing scenarios in my head, that rhymes actually  Grin

178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: January 21, 2024, 01:12:51 PM
Regardless the parent don't allow the kids to not gamble or not, stole someone money can't be a forgiven!
You can't forgive your own blood? I mean yes, stealing has some consequences especially if it was stolen by your son, but being unforgivable is quite harsh.

You don't have to be a mom, dad, grandmother, brother, sister, etc to know if stole someone money is right or not, imagine if I stole your money, are you fine with that?
On the other side, if your son can steal then there's probably something wrong on how you grew him up, maybe you are lacking of communication and guidance. There should be some kind of punishment for them but the blood stays in your veins.

Even he can earn money with the stolen money, I won't happy with that.
Stealing is stealing, regardless of anything.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Casimero (possible fight in 2024) Let's discuss! on: January 20, 2024, 02:49:08 PM
Casimero will just shut down by Inoue when this happened. Inoue is not a joke anymore while his skills is downgrade significantly base on both recent fight. I’m not sure anymore how he can beat Inoue when this match happened.
Still not impressive for me, Inoue's biggest fight was with  Donaire and if you watch it closely either of them could have won that fight if their punches are going in. I've never seen bloody Inoue after his succeeding fights. I can't compare Inoue to some of the fearless fighter I've known, coz upon checking he didn't beat any known fighters!

This will still be a hype if Casimero last fight resulted in a convincing manner. He might suffer the same fate of Tapales if he is still living in a dream that he is the only one who can stop Inoue.
Casimero want him, and if you look at the titles, Inoue can steal Casimero's belt but why don't he fight Casimero?
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 18, 2024, 07:01:45 PM
I don't consider writing messages in an online chat to be a true form of "socializing".
Yeah based on definition socializing is more than just an exchange of words. So merely chatting about how is it going, or how are you doing isn't a form of socializing.
If you want to socialize just go out and meet people in person. A casino isn't supposed to be the place, where you could find real friends.
I don't know, but OP should have realize that casino isn't built to socialize to others, it is built to entertain and gamble. Sure you could find friends on casino, but it's just a bonus part of it.

It's true that some casinos have chatrooms, but I couldn't care less about this feature. Maybe some people are more extroverted, so they want to talk with someone while gambling. I'm definitely not extroverted and talking(or writing messages) to other people while gambling is very distracting to me.
That's casinos way to show that they are open, they let people talk on the chatroom but that's the end of it. Most of the times it causes distraction, so I couldn't care less about it.
