161  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] BitcoinTalk Escrows: Ranking & Blacklist → Avoid scammers! on: March 10, 2017, 02:03:47 AM

You're welcome.

Edit:

SebastianJu is Back to the Game!

Welcome back!
162  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone noticed? BTCJam has 0 Loan Request for More than a Month on: March 09, 2017, 04:49:52 AM
This project (Teambrella) seemed promising a few weeks ago and they're a bit different than BTCJam, Bitbond, Bitlendingclub, Btcpop, Poloniex and the others:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1398547.0

But I still think collateral is a must when lending cryptocurrencies...

BTW would it be nice if we could use a decentralized platform/exchange like Bitsquare (now called bisq) in order to run some kind of p2p decentralized and collateralized lending.

I long for that...
163  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] BitcoinTalk Escrows: Ranking & Blacklist - Avoid scammers! on: March 09, 2017, 03:45:20 AM
Since "marcotheminer" thread isn't updated for a long time, it would be nice to have this updated version instead (I'm seeing a lot of other missing names that are present on the other thread, you should add them as well).

Here goes mine:

1) Cryptocurrencies accepted: BTCitcoin

2) Fees: 1% or minimum of 0.001BTC (the greater one would be the fee)

3) PGP available? No.

4) Link to announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1680647.0
@SFR10

There you go!

Welcome to the list!

Well yeah, i kinda like how you determine "The big 3" based on rating score Grin
Goodluck then for update this thread and welcome back Smiley

I implemented an "Escrow Service Class model" instead of the "big/top guys" as I think that's gonna be better to visualize the ranking, incentivize Escrows to achieve all the badges and it's gonna improve competition among everybody.

Cheers!

Yes I also know about the other thread.

BTW @marcotheminer has been doing a great job since then.

There's no problem at all with that situation, I guess my way of ranking the members is a bit different but the community only gets more benefits with two lists available!  Cool
165  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] BitcoinTalk Escrows: Ranking & Blacklist - Avoid scammers! on: March 08, 2017, 05:09:26 AM
This list has been brought back from the ashes.

If you wanna apply for it post here (or send me PM) with the following info:

1) Cryptocurrencies accepted;

2) Fees;

3) PGP available?

4) Link to announcement thread.

UPDATE #1 of year 2017.

Addition of related project Stegoseed: Steganography + BIP39 seeds.

List updated and scores refreshed by now.

Read OP for detailed info.

Enjoy the little pieces of art!
167  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-26] Stegoseed: Hiding Bitcoin Seeds In Plain Sight on: March 08, 2017, 02:56:45 AM
Finally someone thought of combining seeds with steg' method together.

That's interesting, but I'm still longing for some way to hide seeds (or keys) "inside" mp3 or video files...

Nice to see Changelly is getting more aggressive and competitive day after day.

That's good for the market, that's good for consumers!

The EU recently passed legislation (at least I *think* they did) that censors end-to-end encryption.
IMHO that legislation will work as great as the one that ruled in the US during prohibition era...

It's like censoring people for doing sex, or banning prostitution. I just can't work...
...unless you have an absolute totalitarian orwellian state.

I didn't know about those changes...

Glad to know it's alive and breathing!

Thanks.

Is this project really dead and gone?

You'd only be holding an encrypted fragment of kiddie porn.
LOL

I guess no one is gonna get life in jail for that.

But I hope there'll be some way to implement a greylist to avoid even that (very dirty files) in Sia.
174  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitsquare.io - The P2P Fiat-Bitcoin Exchange on: February 12, 2017, 05:13:50 AM
Very nice update!

Several improvements included.

Keep up the good work on this yet unmatched decentralized exchange!

Nice article that one (comparing the 3 major decentralized storage projects).

Thx for sharing!

^^ Very interesting analysis you wrote right here but don't forget that Bitaddress' core business is Paper Wallet not Brainwallet.

Your post might be interpreted in many other manners...  Wink

Yep, that's right:

...and yes:

Storj Labs <> SJCX
179  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [coinb.in] Open Source, Multi Signature, HD Wallet and more! on: November 27, 2016, 07:42:26 AM
It's also open source so you can review the code yourself, download from GitHub and use it offline even if you don't trust it.

Talking about Dash, there's also BIP39 Tool which I just added to my list here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1164163.0

That one also generates an Hierachical Deterministic Wallet from BIP39 mnemonic for several coins (Dash included).
180  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [LIST] Compilation of Brainwallet & Paper Wallet generators. on: November 27, 2016, 07:24:39 AM
UPDATE #4 of year 2016.

Addition of project BIP39 Tool: an innovative tool compatible with BIP39 rules.

WARNING section has been updated, improved and simplified.

List updated and scores upgraded as well.

Read OP for detailed info.

Enjoy the tools, see you soon!
