Everything is running fine now.

Thanks for the fast fix.

Gonna test the new brainwallet feature...

That's a shame. I hope you will overcome that misunderstanding as a team and keep improving this unique project.

BTW Tails + Joinmarket would be very powerful.

Hope to see more development on that...

Hey guys, why don't you set a vote system (with all developers - and maybe investors too) in order to choose where the money is gonna be invested?
284  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitgen 0.4 released on: October 22, 2015, 01:30:54 AM
For your new brainwallet function you used "Argon2d", right?

"Argon2d is faster and uses data-depending memory access, which makes it suitable for cryptocurrencies and applications with no threats from side-channel timing attacks."

On the other hand:

"Argon2i uses data-independent memory access, which is preferred for password hashing and password-based key derivation. Argon2i is slower as it makes more passes over the memory to protect from tradeoff attacks."

Source: Official Argon2.pdf (page 3).

Wouldn't using "Argon2i" be more suitable (safer) for your bitgen's brainwallet function?

Last but not least: you need to update the "brainwallet" info at "USING_BITGEN" file...
285  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitgen 0.4 released on: October 22, 2015, 01:25:05 AM
I got an error msg while trying to build v0.8 using make (Debian Wheezy).

Error msg is:

Code:
In file included from argon2d-ref.cpp:23:0:

Good to hear that!

I guess your brainwallet function is the first to offer Argon2 algo as an encryption option.

Congratulations!

I'm gonna update bitgen's info here as soon as I review and test your new brainwallet option.

Keep up the good work!

Good discussion about math behind a dicegame.

Full of probability and statistics.

I like that...

Escrow through math? Is that even possible without a reasonable human arbitrator when negotiations get bad?
289  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA]A new investment system wich is not ponzi and everybody win on: October 08, 2015, 03:00:57 AM
@PesiHUN

I advise you to write a "white paper" to show your idea.

Maybe it's a economical rule-breaking, maybe it's a ponzi variation.

Maybe it's gonna work or not.

But it's gonna be tough to get help without explaining what your project really is properly.

Good luck my friend.

Greetings mrdeposit,

Do you keep statistical analisys about your historical data?

Info such as "Profit (units)", "Yield (or ROI)", "Total Staked", "Avg. Odds"?

That would be great to see at the original post (msg #1).

BTW I'm thinking about creating a ranking list of tipsters and and handicappers from our cryptocurrencies community.

If that project comes to reality, I'll use that kind of data in order to rank the participants.

After all, it's nice to see some betting info about League of Legends and other eSports. I bet esports betting has a huge potential yet to be explored.

Best of luck.
291  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: October 08, 2015, 01:50:46 AM
Maybe it could work under a Parimutuel betting system or even a P2P back and lay matching bets system like Betting exchanges do.

I agree 100% that it would add more fun to watch the competitions.

294  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mircoin.com. Brain & Hybrid bitcoin wallet. Presentation of the project. on: October 06, 2015, 11:39:36 PM
This is an interesting brainwallet project, it's curious that it didn't get some more serious attention.

I didn't review your code though the web design is good.

I have a few questions about your creation, if you don't mind:

1) Is your project open-source?

2) Does your generator run (exclusively) client-side only and no data provided by user is ever sent to any server?

3) Can it be downloaded and run 100% offline with no Internet connection required?

4) Is there any code available at Github?

5) How do you calculate the seed from your passphrase? Is it the widespread method of SHA256(passphrase)?

6) Do you intend to add any Key derivation function + Salt support in the future?

Will there be a tournament this weekend?

A fun tournament mode would be one where mass size increases as normal, but you are only awarded points for eliminating other players completely - thus forcing people to take more chances and perhaps get eaten themselves. Not sure if that will be the outcome, but it could provide some interesting gameplay.

Also, it could be fun with a game mode where all players start out with a larger size, just to speed things up a bit in the start.

Talking about tournaments, It would be an interesting idea one tournament where players wager some coins (in order to fill the pot) and an option to allow visitors/audience to watch the game and to bet (back and lay) players' performance.

That's a suggestion, maybe it's viable. dunno...
296  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] Renting ad space and doubling everytime someone rents your space on: October 06, 2015, 09:07:15 PM
This type of idea is practicable in the area that we have huge traffics and it is called ads arbitrage, this existed between google and some small search engines in the past before google cut it off.
Do you have more info about that Google + other small search engines agreement in the past? I couldn't find any source about that information.

If this idea proves to work, I guess you'll need some HUGE network of websites in order to generate HUGE traffic of visitors.

But sometimes odd things may occur like The Million Dollar Homepage.

BTW some guys already tried (without success) a BTC version of TMDH.

Maybe your idea could be used to create an interesting smart contract (on ethereum or counterparty). With no third party risk, your project might get some more attention.
297  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: OVERVIEW: BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS █████████████████ Secure your Coins on: October 06, 2015, 08:46:52 PM
Nice list of BTC hardware wallets.

I'd suggest that you add some features and pros & cons about using each one of them in a few words.

Good compilation though.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] A Secure Ethereum Web Wallet (ethereumwallet.org) on: October 06, 2015, 08:10:53 PM
If this is proved to be a scam, that's a shame.

That's why I just recommend using the official client or paper wallets by now.

Ps. I've got a list of paper wallets for several cryptocurrencies for those interested (see my signature below).
299  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Joinmarket - Coinjoin that people will actually use on: October 02, 2015, 09:12:18 PM
There goes the immutable Law of Supply and Demand: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supply_and_demand

...as strong as the Theory of relativity.

Talking about Joinmarket (and also privacy), is it fully compatible with TOR?
300  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: brainwallet.io on: October 02, 2015, 08:36:24 PM
That was a real challenge...

I guess you need to take it easy next time...
