Na only God go increase your finances weh you go take care for them.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can this forum be targetted? on: February 08, 2023, 08:19:58 PM
Other than blocking access to Bitcointalk, I don't see any other way a government would target us.

You do not think cyber attacks on hosting companies can be possible if any world government or person is interested in taking bitcointalk down? We have regular, though not prolonged DDoS attacks on this forum and that can be an issue also. But I see a side effect too if that should happen because it will create more publicity for bitcoin as many who have not heard about bitcoin will become interested in it. And they want to get all the gist behind what happened. Sympathy for bitcoin will also be there from newcomers because people like to defend underdogs.
163  Other / Archival / Re: [130K] My contribution to the fight against low-value posts on: February 08, 2023, 05:38:31 PM
It was easier to find spam a few years ago I do not find as much as I used to.

It can only be because more members are trying to be better on their posting habit and discard spamming. It is good that many more are showing repentance. That is not to conclude that there are less spam posts but there are less number of members who post spams now. A small unit of members spamming now unlike before where more units did it. But no matter how anyone sweeps this forum for spam posters, the gambling section, altcoins and Off Topic threads will always have spammers.
164  Other / Meta / Re: Use Of Multiple Accounts on: February 08, 2023, 04:59:08 PM
I've seen many Accounts with negative trust on this forum. When I checked I discovered their offence was the use of Multiple Accounts.

My question is
Why do people use Multiple Accounts?
Does it mean that one Account is not enough to post on this forum?

There are some who like to live double standard life and speak differently from the sides of their mouths with more than one account. Some say it is to keep different personalities. They act cool with one account and then hot headed with other accounts. We have seen how new accounts attack high ranked members here and report allegations about them instead of using their known account. They are scared of anyone knowing the personality associated with their main account. Another reason is for joining multiple bounties to earn for themselves. They create this accounts for that reason. Posting with multiple accounts without enrolling in the same bounty with them is not a crime. It becomes a crime when enrolled in bounties of the same company.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Act local and think global on: February 08, 2023, 04:19:44 PM
So today bitcoin forum members amounts 3516956+

If that is the total number of members ever registered on this forum, that is too small. It is less than 4 million. I was thinking we are more than that here except if that number is only for active members. This is after 10 years of establishing this forum and we are still at that figure despite the fame this forum has attained?

The popularity of our bitcoin forum was close to zero in the beginning, now the popularity of bitcoin forum is very high worldwide and constantly new members are joining the world and trying to occupy an important place in the world.

Every new thing begins from zero usage and popularity. Am not surprised this forum and bitcoin started that way. But what matters is how well they are performing. We craw before walking. No one starts walking at once.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in bitcoin? on: February 08, 2023, 10:32:12 AM

Nobody likes to waste their time on something unproductive. Anybody that tells you he is interested in bitcoin for the fun of it is not saying the truth. Am in it because of its ability to give me profit. And that is what has attracted many people to it before any other thing. No one invests in what will not bring profit, except disasters happens. Another reason is that paying or transacting with bitcoin makes payment very easy for me.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am stopping for legal reasons. Is it really worth the trouble? on: February 08, 2023, 06:40:25 AM
You've been accepting bitcoin as a payment condition will not affect you even though the government enforces law into your environment so what I want to inform you is that it is the very difficult to see a country that bitcoin is legal or cryptocurrency is legal but I know quite well that Bitcoin if you receive the payment you can able in converted to usd and also to your country currency pro series of exchanges operational so I will advise you to continue to accept a cryptocurrency as part of payment

Receiving bitcoin for payment for a job done is not a problem from what the Op explained but to trade it as a business is the problem. If you follow his comment you will realise that he does a type of cryptocurrency exchange as a trader. If your country government declares anything illegal, it is bad to expose yourself to it. Government does not have the power to stop you from accepting cryptocurrency provided you are not exchanging it as business. Bangladesh is a very corrupt country like most of the Africa countries where checks and balances are not monitored.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: February 07, 2023, 10:35:01 PM
So my question is:
~ Do people hodl just because others are HODLing?
~ Why do people hodl rather than sell and buy again when low
~ What is your major reason for HODLing and how do your survive the bear market?

Number 1, yes there are people who hold because others are holding. They hold till price increases and they don't sell off, price crashes back again and they continue to hold. Answer to your 2nd question. Alot of people keep holding because they do not know when and how to sell off and then buy back quickly at cheaper price. My reason for holding is to make more profit when it appreciates in price. I do not want to hold for the sake of holding without making profit from it.
169  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria’s new monetary policy cannot stop vote-buying. Discuss. on: February 07, 2023, 07:53:48 PM

Wetin go make vote buying difficult na if those thieves weh be our politicians no see cash distribute and na the thing weh Emefiele deh try do. E no matter whether na dollar or naira them want to use. But some bank managers deh try sabotage Emefiele efforts by going through the back door to give those politicians cash. Na we deh do ourselves for Nigeria. We like to take shortcut and not follow due diligence. People no deh go prison for Nigeria for wrong things weh dem do once them show connection. Na all this things deh make many connected people to misbehave.
170  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerians are the cause our problem on: February 07, 2023, 12:11:21 PM
Since 2015 another party called all progressive congress take over power things have not be going well for our country Nigerian, the statistics shown that since 2018 we have experience hardship.

No drop the blame for party head. There is no difference among all the parties. Nigeria never get any political party with real ideology and na him make our politicians them deh jump from one party enter any one weh them feel like.

2018 /2019 = coronaviru

2020 / 2021 = End SARS

This your dates them no correct somehow. Coronavirus na from 2019 and that is why them deh call am COVID19, meaning Covid that was discovered in 2019. #Endsars na 2020. You don forget the 20/10/20 weh Nigerian government massacred our youths for Lekki tollgate? Na that period everything end. No be for 2021. No vex say I point this things out.

now you have money but you can't feed well, you have money you cannot withdraw and when you to ATM machine to withdraw you stay till next day before it will get to your turn,

Na this one worse pass self. Person get money but you no get how to collect the money and Buhari still deh there as president. That man will end up in history as the worst president weh Nigeria get both as military and as civilian.

for we to correct all this mess is to vote wisely, bad governance have killed Nigerian

This time around we no need to deh talk say vote wisely, we need to deh call the name of the person and we all know say na to vote Peter Obi, simple.
171  Other / Meta / Re: I am login at forum but forget password on: February 06, 2023, 08:46:11 AM

Eventhough it was a bought account, why would anyone buy such an account with such less posts and activities.

The account isn't of much value but how do you know that is a bought account?

Please read my comment without any misunderstanding. I said even if it was bought, I did not say it was bought. Am trying to say why will anyone even want to buy an account that has less activities.

How do you know it is a buy account and why would a person buy into an account where the account has no value when a person can open such an account instantly.

Please I explained myself above. No misunderstanding of my comment. Am only asking why anyone will buy such an account that is almost useless with activities. I did not say the account was bought.
172  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Obasanjo official endorses on Peter Obi for president how una reason the mata? on: February 06, 2023, 08:30:18 AM
You get money but to use the money come be issue, they are now buying money with money for POS

Na this one follow deh funny me. It is crazy my brother. I no ever one day think say we go reach this point for Nigeria weh person go use naira buy naira. Nothing we no go see for this APC government. How person get money for bank but you no fit withdraw am to use. Them say it is not good to keep money at home, make we take am go bank, and now banks no even fit release the money, even the old naira notes o. This is serious and nobody don get punished for all this bad things weh deh happen.
173  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The hardest January in history on: February 06, 2023, 08:11:34 AM

E get country weh e go be, omoh everybody go don hit road to protest. The suffering too much for this country.
.
For Nigeria who fit go protest dem go just kill every body and nothing go still happen our prayer be say make God no give us funny people as leaders again.

That is the thing. Nobody want to expose himself because of demonstration and you no go blame anyone for that. If you come out to protest those idiots go say those of us weh come out to protest be either Unknown gunmen, or bandits, or opposition members or cultists. They must find something to nail you. This country don go very bad to the point na only miracle got fit to reverse am now.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: February 03, 2023, 07:16:22 PM
Many people are thinking of other ways to make money. There are many people who have become rich because of Bitcoin, but there are also many people who have lost their money because of Bitcoin.
The world will not change much. Other innovative technologies would have been discovered without Bitcoin.
Bitcoin does bring a lot of convenience to people.

There are people who think of the positives of bitcoin than they think of its side effect. Those who are hit badly and into losses by bitcoin will tell you that bitcoin is the worse investment they got into and will say to hell with bitcoin. I also think what you said that it is true bitcoin brought convenience to people but without it the world will not change much. Bitcoin is not the absolute.
175  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The hardest January in history on: February 03, 2023, 04:57:37 PM

No be lie you talk my gee. Since I don become an adult I never see January weh hard reach this one weh we just survive. No fuel, no naira, no security. No serious engagement weh remain for this APC body again like this. No idea again remain for them side. The type of hardship we face in this country reach to make anybody craze for Yankee. E get country weh e go be, omoh everybody go don hit road to protest. The suffering too much for this country. If no be one thing, I for say make better thunder weh wear chukuchuku fire all our leaders and those weh deh support them.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 03:01:49 PM
I remember a time that  my country football player, Kanu that is now retired wanted to build a charitable casinos but I do not know if it is actually existing now or not.

Am not sure if Papilo is into anything that will not give him direct income. He is not likely to agree to such and give out his earnings that easily in whatever arrangement. Kalu is shrewd when it comes to money. Since his retirement from football no one has heard anything again about his Kalu Heart Foundation that was in public space for years after the player's own heart condition was discovered during transfer medicals.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hitting it's target on: February 03, 2023, 02:42:18 PM

Your story is a sweet one. I did not know that hospitals are now beginning yo accept bitcoin, maybe it is a private hospital? Nigeria doctors with their arrogance are now beginning to realise that there is something good in bitcoin? Can we know the name of that hospital and its location so that we can check it out when we are sick or refer other bitcoin fans to it for patronage.
178  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scarcity of new naira notes.. POS charged me 9k to withdraw 30k... on: February 03, 2023, 07:52:24 AM

Wetin deh still surprise me be how nobody don teach any of the POS operators lesson till now. Their own don too much pass all the goofs weh Grandpa Blu Bulaba deh make. Someone should teach those operators or bank staff small lesson. But e come be like say the problem na people weh deh insist on collecting the new naira notes, why not collect the old ones and move on. At least from now till February 10th deadline na. Me na small cash I deh hold, the rest na through my bank app I deh take transact.
179  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Obasanjo official endorses on Peter Obi for president how una reason the mata? on: February 03, 2023, 07:27:55 AM

Na good thing say OBJ deh endorse Peter Obi because Obi na the best man for Aso Rock. But make Obasanjo just go find one place sit down. After how he went against Jonathan and endorsed Buhari nobody supposed deh take his words to be anything again. He is part of the problem of Nigeria too. He joined others and gave us Buhari weh be everybody nightmare today. The OBJ weh we deh talk self no be the same OBJ weh no deh fit win elections for his ward?
