Autoswitching pools are sooooo 2016

Stick with ETH while it lasts (1 or 2 years at most), then its game over for gpu mining  Cry Cry

+1 WOsMerit javi

Haha, you can tell I haven't mined a looong time  Grin

I didn't think I would get much Eth with just the one GPU? I'm trying to avoid getting killed on exchange fees so the auto-switching pools -> BTC directly seemed like the best option

Mine at some reputable ETH pool. With 1 1080ti you will be paid each 4-5 days (maybe). Use ETH address from your Binance account, and trade for BTC weekly.
Enjoy your monthly 30-40 usd of harversted corn.

I'm looking for a reputable pool that I can mine shitcoins with my old gaming rig's 1080ti. Ideally trying to find one that auto-switches between most profitable coins and giving me BTC directly - any advice is welcome  Cheesy

Try nicehash but only if you dedicate that computer for mining - I can't guarantee that their software isn't full of spyware.

Thanks, will check them out! Anyone else have any suggestions?

Maybe you want to check out zpool.ca, in the past crackfoo had a good flair for profitable coins.
No endorsement, DYOR.

EDIT: I only ever mined scrypt and always solo, so I have not really a good clue about anything else. But for scrypt zpool was at times the place to mine.

dex is the way but here in the usa (land of the "free") i need a usa registered (read: dishonest and rotten to the core and in bed with everyone that pays) off ramp for my corn.

Last shaddy off ramp for my corn (Epayments) still has my 0.1 BTC stuck since february.

Damn russian mob has my cents in forced hodl since then.. But it seems i have to wave it goodbye

Trustee finally filed the rehabilitation plan for the Gox case. Distribution is likely some way off yet, but conceivable it could happen next year now.

https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20201215_announcement_en.pdf

"...filed a draft rehabilitation plan."  We already knew that it would happen today, right?.. Nothing new then.

"...determine whether to proceed with the rehabilitation".  Is that a conditional sentence?? So it may or may not happen..

"...explain the draft rehabilitation plan to the relevant parties in a timely and appropriate manner." Whenever they want.. it could take ages..

tldr: nothing to see here, keep mooning Mr Badger.

For European residents, I can vouch for Kraken. Been with them since 2015. No issues. Deposits and withdrawals have gone through (although withdrawals were for very small amounts—don't know what will happen if I request to withdraw a lot).

There was a time (around 2016-2017 IIRC) when their servers were slower than a CASIO calculator, which actually protected me from selling some corn by failing to execute a string of sell orders. My current stash would have been much smaller, had those orders gone through—thanks Kraken!

For Europeans,
The tentacles of Kraken,
Work kind of OK.

#1krakenhaiku

I agree. I have also been a customer since 2015. I have made monthly withdrawals since late 2016. Never had a problem.

Thanks for the reply. My Kraken withdrawals have been minimal—only a few times for a few hundred € each time. Everything went smoothly, no questions asked.

If it's not too much trouble for you, what are the approximate amounts of your monthly Kraken withdrawals? Hundreds? Thousands? Did you have any issues with your bank (i.e., being asked "where do these monthly deposits come from?" and having to explain about your crypto, etc.)?

I don't think answering the above poses any OPSEC issues, but if uncomfortable, please ignore this post. Thanks!

The amounts I have withdrawn monthly is between €1000-2000. No big sums, but they have never failed me. I've had some problems though, but it has never been problems on the Kraken side (like when when Revolut/TransferWise blocked transfers from/to Kraken).

Excellent. Thanks for the valuable info. These are the monthly amounts I'm planning to withdraw in the near future too, so it's good to know that almost everything went smoothly for you. It's the banks I'm more worried about, not Kraken. There's always the ATM option too, albeit with a higher premium—a small price to pay for complete anonymity (until they start forcing us to KYC there too).

The funny (sad, actually) thing is that most of us have not done anything wrong, we're not criminals, and yet we are often treated as such, until proven otherwise...

Edit:

@machasm: thanks for your reply, too.
@psycodad: and yours, too.

(OFFTOPIC to wall observing)

I never had problems with Kraken.. small sums.. less than 1000eur.. (LTC to kraken, then euros to N26 thru SEPA)

I also used  BTC to charge Epayments debit card, and then top up the Revolut card. (always less than 1000 eur), and it worked ok, no questions asked.  But now Epayments is gone. Never tried SEPA from Kraken to Revolut.

Last week i asked N26 customer service about limitations on transfers.. they said 100,000 eur is the limit (whaaa?!?!) but they dont know if i may or may not be asked to provide origin of funds.

I was always afraid to ask about fiat exit ramps in this thread.
Maybe there's another place where we can chat about this, or in PM.
I asked Elwar about his 'current location' regulation on banking, but maybe my personal message was.. too personal, hence ignored.

Thanks for your replys.

I'm not into conspiracy theories.. but the mnuchin crap right now looks more than just a coincidence.

Why do every correction need a justification?? The corn was way overbought. Some traders wanted the profits and they unchained the sell off.

Just in case the Mnuchin crap is real... Why dont they apply the same rules to CASH?? Like showing the remaining bills in your cash wallet when you purchase something at retail stores. And asking for detailed info on the seller. I should know who is the new owner of my paper note.  Wink

Anyone know why Max Keiser keeps saying 28k?  What's special about 28k?

I listened to his show a couple weeks ago and I thought he said something about a long term trendline there. Maybe it's a fib?

25-30k would be equal to July 2019 13k from the mining profit viewpoint.

When we got to 13k in July 2019 we corrected.

Maybe he is getting his 28k number from this interpretation of mining profits.

as a miner when we got to 13k last year I was earning too much money for the gear prices I had invested so I knew we would correct.

Which is why I am not that excited about the 20k level as I feel 18-22k levels would give me the correct profit levels for the money I have invested in gear.

I cant agree with you more. That moment when you know the mining income isnt "sustainable" and then the price corrects.

At this moment the profits are nice (at least, on gpu mining), but not in the bubble/unsustainable territory. Maybe eth volcano is starting to spurt its last lava..

On the other hand, some indicators are suggesting a correction is coming. 3D RSI still has some point to rise.. but i think its on the brink of turning down.

I observe some decent walls at $19500 and above on stamp. Call the badger, he has some work to do!
