Looks like someone signed up and chimed in at:

http://wiki.cryptsy.com/dgb

Come on people!  So much information to add!  I am just terrible at BBCode and Wiki code or I would do it myself Sad

Lets make our coin the nicest looking most informative page on the wiki!

Working on it now.  I've done a lot of wiki stuff so I'll make sure its awesome.

Sorry if this is off topic kinda. But it's world changing news potentially..

FUSION F^*%ING POWER GUYS!!!

Congratulations to the world...

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/02/12/275896094/scientists-say-their-giant-laser-has-produced-nuclear-fusion

It might be off topic, but 500 trillion watts of power being focused into the width of an No2 pencil is just plain awesome. I'd say were still pretty far off from it being a useful technology but the potential seems to be there.

@exploited: any news/eta on a public beta avw ?

I'm still working on tracing back the wallet corruption issue. Transactions are working great but the app is still unable to save the blockchain state after a transaction is received.

I had thought i was fixed this issue but further testing revealed that it wasn't. Its not obvious where the error is and I've been filling the code with debug statments but havent found where the corruption is being caused yet.

I will keep everyone posted on the status

i am a developer, such as android、J2EE、PHP,is there anything i can do for you.

I have been PMed in github to check current P2pool code, and found it not optimal.
After short conv I set better parameters and merge it into my fork.
I also start 3 nodes to bootstrap it for a while Smiley

and as last resort my home machine:

All are 1% fee.

Code on github: https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav

Happy mining Smiley

Thanks for the update!  I'll test it out when I get some time tonight

Nobody feels, that changeing the coin supply specifications is way unfair, and not an acceptable method?

I agree. The block reward will self adjust over time where they half ever 2 years (on average)

Adjusting the difficulty retargeting is one thing but I think the block rewards should be left alone
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] A Professional Cryptocurrency ✈ Android Wallet, CoinedUp ✔ on: February 10, 2014, 09:22:52 PM
This coin is dead and the dev's are gone too.

No we are not, and no it isnt!   The dev who runs the digibyte forum account has had some personal things to take care of and his posted has been limited the last few days.

That does not mean work is not still being done.  lowered forum post frequency != dead

I've been looking into the gravity well and am working on setting it up on a test net. Like someone mentioned it needs to be tested before its released. It would require a mandatory update so it need to be organised.

I'm not sure how you'd get the idea we were gone

I took a shot at the paperwallet for fun Smiley

EDIT: bigger picture https://i.imgur.com/UH4AcfY.png

I like it!   sent you a few dgb

I tried to add DigiMan in the background, but failed miserably, since QR boxes ruin all the magic. I have updated font in the header, thou. And maybe we can have both of them, so users could chose, which one they do like more? I, for example, prefer DigiMan one. He congratulates me for having DGB, I like that :

No worries man, the digiman version is actually growing on me Smiley   sent you a few dgb! I'll get you the proper digibyte font tomorrow for the top header!

I like that one!   Sent you a few DGB's for the hard work.

Once we decided on the one to use I'll give a the creator a nice bonus.

Snotty, send me your dgb address so I can send you something for your work too!

The chain syncing issue has been resolved. It was actually really silly and was only something I would have experienced.

When I test an app I uninstall the app before if there was a previous version by dragging the icon to the trash bin. For whatever reason when I uninstalled the app to test the latest version it never deleted the blockchain or wallet data. Once I went to settings, uninstalled from there and re-installed the issue I was experiencing went away.

I'll be up for a little while yet so I could use a tester or two just to confirm its working correct, I don't want to start on the other areas until its confirmed working!

Just sent you a reward for your efforts! Thanks for the hard work and I can't wait to see the finished product!

ATX Silver

Thanks man!

Also working on setting up a P2Pool (Located in LA) but haven't succeeded in doing so yet. Made a reddit thread about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/Digibyte/comments/1xedus/how_to_set_up_a_digibyte_p2pool/
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!

I'm really busy at the moment but I'll give you a pm when I'm around to help

I do like this, there is one small problem.

If you look at the original image you see that its spilt in 3, which is so you can fold it and hide the private key.  On the front is the logo and the back has the address for "spend".  Ideally you would then place some sort of tamper proof sticker.

You don't really want the private key visible as that reporter on TV found out with bitcoin when he accidentally showed his private key on live tv and someone took it.

Like was mentioned, it doesn't have to be the same but I do believe it should be foldable!

Fixed my paper wallet entry and added another version Wink
I have no source images, so quality a bit lower than could be.

I like that much better. The first one is my preference but DigiMan transposed on the background on the Spend side would look good I think. The font type for digibyte is "magneto" which you should have available if you have the adobe master suit.

Among other things I'm working on putting together pds/ai source imagery for marketing so I should have some better sources for you soon. I'll include rasterized versions of the type that can be used for anyone that might not have access to magneto font

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet

Looks similar, isn't it. Its a 100% clone, like the Qt wallet, probably a few hours of work.
I expected a little more than that. Something unique, after 1 month of development.

By the way, the wallet seems good, but it takes more than that to be the flagship alt.

Skipping the fact that even to clone an Android wallet from bitcoinj requires a large amount of knowledge in many different areas (c++, java, bitcoin protocol, etc) if it were 100% clone it would have been done long long ago as shown by the DigiByte wallet I've completed.

While the UI might look the same at the moment in the sneak peek that was posted there were backend changes required to adapt to the transaction comment field. When I went into this project, I like you assumed it wouldn't be overly difficult and should only take a few hours to get it functioning. Punch in the genesis block info, pubkey, packetmagic all that good stuff and bam, android wallet. That however was not the case and I wasn't willing to give up when it started to get more difficult.

The serialization in bitcoinj, for lack of a better description is complicated. Its passed back and forth between different java streams and each stream had to be updated to handle the correct serialization. The protobuf libraries from google are part of the chain and is directly what has caused the majority of the time in development. I had never worked with protbufs before and going in I had only a vague idea of what a protobuf even was.

The amount of time I spent researching and then trying to implement the new serialization would have made most sane people quit. I'm sure there are others who could have managed it quicker then me but anyone who possesses the capabilities are surely already busy with their own projects. I had to learn the bitcoin specific info as I went,  a few months ago I barely even knew what a bitcoin was let alone have detailed knowledge of the protocol. HashEngineering's help was also invaluable as he helped get me back on track a few times when I was getting stuck.

When its released it will support the Transaction Comment which you will be able to set in the send coins screen, something that no other Android wallet has. I am also going to update the color scheme and will have another little surprise when its released.

This is also an ongoing project. I don't plan on dropping an apk and disappearing. Updates will be made in both UI and functionality improvements. I had always planned on getting it functioning and then working on customizing and improving. Making it function has just been more work then I originally anticipated.

Any suggestions for future improvements would be greatly appreciated!

Can you share your wallet or cryptsy trade key so I can send you some Earthcoins as a bonus for your hard work? Thank you for the update as well, talented people such as yourself are what makes this community great.

You betcha!    ebrPC5c1RddyCrWUg1q8EbAMcsnT5znyTq

I should have more news later this evening as I work on wrinkling out the last few bugs. Theres some customization I'm going to make before official release on the play store but I'll get it into some testers hands as soon as the blockchain remains synced

Can i give that paper wallet i go. i presume you dont want the QR and that?

Sure thing! I threw the image up on dropbox for simplicity. I'd prefer png for the final image as well

https://www.dropbox.com/s/zw0v0iwxmxbmj4a/currentPaperWalletImage.png

Just make sure to leave the blank areas blank (other then the background).   To see where the qr images are placed you can go goto the site and click on the paper wallet tab but I don't have there exact location.

I wouldn't mind 2 so if anyone else is up to it I'll bounty that as well.  The more awesome they are the more awesome my bounty shall be Smiley

My entry is quite simple:

Wanted to give everyone a DigiByte development update:

* A few finishing touches are being put on the DigiMan
* A professional voice over has been completed for the DigiByte promo video and it sounds great!
* A lite wallet as well as a DGB address generator is being worked on.
* More newbie guides with pictures are being put together.
* The foundation for the design and code of the DGB exchange is being layed out and work  has been started on it.
* We have started gathering and putting together the application for FINCEN to abide by all appropriate banking laws.
* We are aggressively messaging all exchanges and working to get it on some bigger places to trade!

Any ETAs?

So devs or dev can you give us an estimate on any of the listed above? All i see now is just a push to get listed on exchanges. Look what happened to EAC they were/are listed on many exchanges around and now the price is tanking because dev team all does is talk and no walk( i dont have any EAC just monitoring what's happening).  We all want to see some action and if you claim to be professionals then you would gladly provide some dates like you would normally do when you are serious. I know you will not be able to give dates for all of the points.  I am sure the whole community will agree with me.

I can't speak to all of it but   digiaddress.org  is up and running, still waiting for a proper image for the paper wallet. I'll provide a small bounty for it if anyone is up to it. You can grab the current image off the site if your interested. Albeit a small bounty as its from my own personal mining, not the development account.

The light wallet is a while away, I suspect at least a month. There is a few things I'm finishing up with the android wallet before I can devote more time to it.

I'm currently finishing up "print to google cloud" feature for printing QR codes from the android wallet and will be pushing it out early next week. I'm also working on updating the color scheme to match DigiByte better and should have that at the same time.

That is just stuff I'm working on though, I'm not sure of the eta's on the other stuff.  I've been too busy working to stop and ask Smiley
