Of course nobody will harvest with the NEM Funds.
One of the devs already confirmed that they harvest with coins controlled by devs. I thought he meant NEM Funds, maybe he meant something else. He meant something else for sure. Ofc he meant something else. We do harvest with OUR OWN funds, not with funds accounts. Funds accounts are actually locked out of harvesting. Also my question from nxtforum: What holds me from operating "trusted pool" (to gain trust) for months in NXT and than turn evil?
It's not easy to earn trust (…) I'll leave conclusion to what you've said, as an exercise for reader. So when it comes to such kind of "attack" is the situation in NXT and NEM that different? (especially since you can't cancel "lease") (*) (*) rhetorical question.

What a shitty software system... cant login... error 709... Start local harvesting and then - "Oops! ERROR 709 The account is unknown. An account needs to be part of at least one transaction (sender or recipient) to be known to the network."
go away...
Seems like you've read all the tutorials.

I have some questions and I would be grateful if an experienced Nemer would spend some time to answer them:
- Can an account delegate harvest using multiple nodes at the same time?
If you mean using same delegated key on multiple nodes - yes - What is the difference if an account delegate harvest at only one node vs multiple nodes?
none - Is it better to run multiple nodes in harvesting or it is the same as harvesting with multiple accounts @ 1 node?
There shouldn't be noticeable difference, second is most-likely more eco-friendly.

Question for discussion:
Should exchanges be allowed to harvest?
You can't stop anyone from harvesting. Each account makes it's own decision From what i know from some poloniex mods, their contract prohibits harvesting If poloniex is NBZMQO7ZPBYNBDUR7F75MAKA2S3DHDCIFG775N3D then they are harvesting It's their call no one can stop them. Although I must say I wouldn't do that... If they really do, I hope they're doing it on some separate node, not on the node they use for getting information.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Please, do not use built-in functionality, to back-up your wallet! Most likely it will generate incorrect data and backup will NOT be usable.
You can backup your wallet manually. Files reside in ncc directory:- windows: c:\users\<username>\nem\ncc\
- mac/linux: ~/nem/ncc/
There are always two files: wallet file (.wlt) and address book file (.adb)
bump bumping to raise awareness

Anon and geocaching seem to be quite hot right now. Altough I don't know if u're planning to go there.
geocachers don't like using caches for marketing.

WE NEEED MARKETING!
Marketing is there, and they are working pretty hard. The fact that they are not active here, doesn't mean they don't. They are active on both forums and telegram. World does not end on BTT. If we will stay here, nem will die.

I've failed to see any actual math to back up the Nem "devs" assertions that PoI isn't susceptible to these types of attacks.
b) "within limits"? The Poloniex account had ~78% PoI the other day. What are these "limits"?
If you don't see the difference between ‱ and % I don't think we can continue this discussion... also do your math: 123469263 / 8999999999 = 137,188... ‱ So with 78‱ they are still behind their POS value. edit: oh I just looked at your post history, so it's my last post here

Hi, is it normal, that one get no block rewards (fee 0.00)?
if there are no transactions in blocks, where would the rewards come from? So the total amount of NEM never change sure it can, just send some xem to address like NANDANOTHERONEGONEANOTHERONEBITESTHEDUST and you can be sure that with high probability, no one will access them. or send it to nemesis address NANEMO... - that will burn them forever.

Step 1 - Create multiple accounts. Say a hundred for demonstration purposes. Step 2 - Send your NEM around in a ring from account 1, 2, 3, etc to 100 and then back to account 1. Step 3 - Repeat to increase your PoI and then obliterate the network. PROFIT!
That won't work, but have fun. Few issues here: a) cluster detection, b) this should bump poi a bit, but within limits c) keep in mind your vested balance is part of importance d) poi recalculation is done every 359 blocks

He just wants to donate his NEM to the harvesters. He is a very good spammer ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) although dividing it among many blocks could more pleasent for harvesters ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I didn't understand PoI fully yet. Is there a complete calculation example? can someone tell me, how much more importance i will probably have, if i have 2 stakes with each half of the amount compared to one with the full amount? and will the importance go down to zero, if i just HODL and not use my coins at all for paying or receiving?
poi of all users sum to 1.0 sending and receiving is good for poi combining those two facts, if you have two users having similar amount, one hoarding, other sending + recv some amounts, the former will most likely have bit lower importance. there are other factors too if you have vested balance > 10_000, it's quite unlikely that your importance will go down to zero.

I just see these files on my mac under nem-0.6.25/ncc/config.properties logalpha.properties nem-client-api__V0.6.25-BETA.jar nem-core__V0.6.25-BETA.jar In your USER directory, you should see "nem" directory, where nem stores blockchain, and your wallet

You can make the query like this: h ttp://127.0.0.1:7890/account/get?address=TALICELCD3XPH4FFI5STGGNSNSWPOTG5E4DS2TOS or, if the port 7890 is open, the request can be done remotely: h ttp://<node's_ip>:7890/account/get?address=TALICELCD3XPH4FFI5STGGNSNSWPOTG5E4DS2TOS Among other information, will be "status":"LOCKED" or "status":"UNLOCKED". In the first case harvesting does not work in the second work.
In Nembex this status is not displayed correctly, for all accounts written Status: LOCKED.
In reference to harvesting it IS correct, if you see it says UNLOCKED, as that means someone is harvesting with your account on a machine from which nembex is collecting the data.
