Can someone tell me, what the option "due in (hours)" under "delegated harvesting" exactly is doing? Mens that, if i choose 24 hours, then the Importance is in the new wallet for 24 hours and after that, it will be back in my main account?

Have you received an answer from Bloody yet ? Maybe you should get a cup of stfup instead of spreading potentially false allegations AGAIN ! How about you go over to the other platforms thread that has the exact same attack vector that you are reffering to ?
... It's not false allegations. If you harvest with 65% coins controlled by NEM core then PoI rating may be above 50% which means that NEM is .. ... You say that as if it's something someone could just do without any effort. I don't mind you looking into NEMs security, in fact I welcome it. I don't appreciate how you phrase things and how you present your findings. (And no I don't mind you're doing it publicly)

One of the devs already confirmed that they harvest with coins controlled by devs. I thought he meant NEM Funds, maybe he meant something else.
I meant that the core team is harvesting with their own coins, not with funds.

Of course nobody will harvest with the NEM Funds.
One of the devs already confirmed that they harvest with coins controlled by devs. I thought he meant NEM Funds, maybe he meant something else. He meant something else for sure. Ofc he meant something else. We do harvest with OUR OWN funds, not with funds accounts. Funds accounts are actually locked out of harvesting. Also my question from nxtforum: What holds me from operating "trusted pool" (to gain trust) for months in NXT and than turn evil?
It's not easy to earn trust (…) I'll leave conclusion to what you've said, as an exercise for reader. So when it comes to such kind of "attack" is the situation in NXT and NEM that different? (especially since you can't cancel "lease") (*) (*) rhetorical question.

You say that as if it's something someone could just do without any effort.
Effort is not measured unless it's close to infeasible. If reward is 100'000'000 USD and an attack is possible with 10'000'000 USD then it's considered as possible. PS: What attack did you have in mind btw? I'll try to assess the effort required to conduct it.

I meant that the core team is harvesting with their own coins, not with funds.
It's catch 22. If you don't harvest with these funds then you lower the security of the blockchain, if you do harvest with them then you make NEM a non-decentralized system. The only solution is to split harvesting among several people who will likely not collude.

Maybe you should come out and tell her then instead of trying to expend your frustrations on bitcointalk... Tell what? You are the only guy I have so close relations with.

To exercising readers: Please, note that Nxt leasing can be cancelled almost instantly by transferring all the coins to another account. Also, even if Nxt leasing had a fatal security breach this still wouldn't counter my argument about NEM.

There is a short explanation when you hover your mouse over ? when sending XEM. It states: "If the transaction isn't included by the deadline, it's rejected" It means if you initiate that transaction/request for delegated harvesting (or anything else: sending XEM, intitiating multisig action or whatever that needs blockchain) and your client experiences some issues (bad internet connection, being out of sync from the nodes on the network etc...) it will try to execute for so long... It is useful for instances where such orders could be "stuck"... This prevents that... So after an hour - everything is back as it should be... Be mindful it is not some sort of timer... Everything will be tried to be executed right away... The due by has nothing to do with your importance score and it does not affect your harvesting ability in any kind. It has to do with executing that transaction: It is fine whatever value you set there, the client will try to execute everythin immediately, but if something goes wrong (bad internet connection etc.) after the value set - the order will be canceled... It is like an interval during which the transaction will be tried to be executed. Glad to have you in our movement!

Come out and tell your wife that you have homosexual tendencies so that you can pursue a real sexual relationship with some dude instead of trying to expend your frustrations on bitcointalk... She called me "pervert" after seeing that video of you posted by Hollowman338.

So you've told her already... why didn't you just say so?
Since you've already told your wife that you have homosexual tendencies... why don't you go pursue a real sexual relationship with some dude instead of expending your frustrations on bitcointalk?
I like how you try to insult me by talking about homosexual relationship like it's something bad. What will be the next? Racism?

Ok. @smaragda, create a dedicated thread and post the link here and I'll tell you which post implied your position on homosexuality.

Ok trying to delegate the harvesting, thank you, should be clear now, one last question: can i cancel the transfer to the new wallet after i transfered the Importance to it? I'm glad too that i found NEM.

No. You can turn off your computer entirely... IF you are harvesting on a remote NIS.

No. You can turn off your computer entirely... doesn't work for me delegated harvesting is deactivated each time i close everything, and when i open it again i can't reactivate it again, error 699 like local harvesting activate again automatically each time i open my wallet. I have localhost set up in "host" so that might be the problem. How can i choose another host ?

I have localhost set up in "host" so that might be the problem. How can i choose another host ? Yes. Sorry I assumed you are not harvesting locally. If you are "remotely" harvesting on your own node/local pc - you need to have it turned on... If you are harvesting on some remote node - you can turn everything off on your side... You can enter addresse (like rigel3.nemwork.net) under Settings instead of localhost. You can see the list of nodes here: https://forum.ournem.com/vps-nodes/list-of-dedicated-vps-nodes-to-conect-nem/Be mindful that some of them may not work or are full ATM. We are expecting more detailed tutorials in comming days ahead.. Enjoy!
