Any thoughts on formulating a algo action plan? I'll give you a few reasons why we should:  -Fuse After the raise in price Clevermining start 'using' the opportunity again. So there is where price manipulation, besides dedicate mining, can make the shortterm difference in network stability. Seems like some dedicated miners stopped or lowered their hashrate too... But for sure, we need some chance now, we wait far too long, some people lost their interest/patience and walked away from Guldencoin. Most (or at least many) projects are postponed.... etc etc Reading back learns that the Guldencoin team works 100% at new algo. They can use some help too, don't know if someone offered some in the meantime? Also, @Fuse, you mentioned DigiShield. Did /GeertJohan respond to this or is there another agenda? What is the easiest action to stop this CM terror? The easiest option would be digishield but looks like the team want to make sure by creating the simulator, however I feel the simulator was not worked on enough and from Geerts last msg it's as if the team wants others to do the work now which is making it a bit more difficult since it has to be done in GO. Why not just complete the project early next year, do the algo change and then take a break from guldencoin for a month. This needs to be given more urgency so we don't run out of lubrication for clevermining while he ass rapes the coin. There is over 6.6 million left of the premine. Why not use some of the premine to get this sorted out? While the team has a premine the community is looking to them to do the work, when the premine runs out then the community will donate/help with other projects. https://distribution.guldencoin.com/#/dev-premineAlthough the community has been doing a lot of this already in good faith with all these other projects that have been coming out. We really have a special community now the team needs to rise up!  Everyone is enjoying holidays now so we can't expect much work but in January we need to see lots of effort go into this algorithm changes. Ofcourse we are absolutely open to ideas around using the premine for external development. We don't own the premine and we can as a community decide what to do with it. So if you know a good developer who can solve this quicker, then thats great news of course. But even if you don't, GJ is still 100% committed in finding the best longterm solution. Same goes for Fuse' suggestion. If he has the code ready and the community wants us to implement this, its not up to us to deny this. But it should be a clear wish from the majority. Maybe creating a poll so people can vote on what to do next is a good idea so we get more insight in what we want. Don't get me wrong I fully back the dev team and GeertJohan but I really think we need the algorithm changes and after seeing the graphs Fuse showed I'm pretty confident this is the best short-term solution to our problems with clevermining . |

Thank you all for your replies. I will take more care in formulating texts in this thread, never meant to offend anyone. I have high hopes for NLG to become an alternative for the € as I detest the Euro together with the monopoly currently held by the banking world. The value of NLG going up or down and making money by trading NLG is not my primary concern. I would love to see millions of people actually use the Guldencoin in daily life. It would be marvelous if the NLG userbase grows exponentially coming weeks, cheers to that.
I have the same hopes and would love to see millions of people using NLG as well. We have the same goal, I personally wasn't offended, simply surprised. No worries. Also, this is the strangest month of the year. Everyone's time is divided and focussed elsewhere. Add to that this is the most expensive month as well. We'll fly back in full throttle starting 2nd of January (1st of January I will still be drunk). We're all connected to NLG with our own goals and ideas, but we all have one main goal; Bring Guldencoin to a large group of Dutch people. Sure we get sidetracked sometimes or have different opinions (or misunderstand one another), but we can just hash it out and get back to work. Oh investeerder.... The developer /GeertJohan is working on a simulator at least once a week for about 3 hrs a week according to the live feeds , so it wil take another 3-6 months before it's completed at this rate as people are saying it will be a first for cryptos. So expect the development changes for the new algorithm to be done middle of next year.
The algorithm change will only happen in 6 months as /GeertJohan is building a simulator first.
I will bet anyone here 20k NLG that a working open source simulator will take more then 3 months to build and we already 2-3 weeks in since /GeertJohan started his first live dev session.
I will keep the bet @20k and when I win you can give Bram_vnl the 20 000. I know how the dev world works and /GeertJohan will do the algorithm change long before this simulator is complete. No one is this fast and if he had to complete it within 3 months with algo change then I will add /GeertJohan is best developer in the world to my signature.
Until /GeertJohan comes on here and tells us he's actively working on the simulator I am allowed to speculate on timings as much as the next person. My bet is not on the algorithm change but a open source version of the simulator being ready within 3 months. The simulator will be a great milestone for the coin but I am saying to cut down the algorithm change date to under 3 months I would suggest the dev does a simulator tailor made for Guldencoin first, test it against our blockchain, roll out the changes needed and afterwards if successful can worry about a open source product.
Another 2 months or so, but with all these other updates coming in the last week the simulator has taken a back step in focus and also litesires idea of keeping the buys under 400 is working until the algorithm change takes place. So Kudos to the community and users for listening to that advice from litesire.
Best time to buy is now or in 2 months time just before the algo change takes place. Plenty other projects coming to keep more people coming back for more while we down our sorrows on the blockchain.
I predict we just over a month away from the algorithm change unless Geert Johan has problems finalizing the simulator. So lets keep buying up the cheap coins clevermining is throwing at us and next year sometime we might have a good algo setup.

First let me apologize for not getting to this issue sooner. I am currently sitting in a hospital room with my wife and newborn child. I dont have a computer with me so I was a bit out of the loop.
I have restarted the services on the pool but I'm working from my phone so I cant test functionality. Can some test the pool snd let me know. If needed, I can track down a computer and get this fixed in the nect couple hours.
