This mix has put me in a great mood! Can we donate some Guldencoin to the DJ?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

To be clear the donations are sent to me for arranging this page and putting in the time, approaching DJ's etc. etc. I will ask SEBASS! if he wants his address up there for donations. In this case SEBASS! was asked by Cookie if he wanted to do a mix Wink

Thank you all for your replies. I will take more care in formulating texts in this thread, never meant to offend anyone. I have high hopes for NLG to become an alternative for the € as I detest the Euro together with the monopoly currently held by the banking world. The value of NLG going up or down and making money by trading NLG is not my primary concern. I would love to see millions of people actually use the Guldencoin in daily life. It would be marvelous if the NLG userbase grows exponentially coming weeks, cheers to that.

I have the same hopes and would love to see millions of people using NLG as well. We have the same goal, I personally wasn't offended, simply surprised. No worries.

Also, this is the strangest month of the year. Everyone's time is divided and focussed elsewhere. Add to that this is the most expensive month as well. We'll fly back in full throttle starting 2nd of January (1st of January I will still be drunk).

We're all connected to NLG with our own goals and ideas, but we all have one main goal; Bring Guldencoin to a large group of Dutch people. Sure we get sidetracked sometimes or have different opinions (or misunderstand one another), but we can just hash it out and get back to work. Even goede vrienden Smiley

EDIT: Thanks Cookie Wink

I know of many other coin devs who developed and improved their coins in a big way.
In that same time, for NLG the "simulator" was(is?) the key focus of NLG development.
So a vote for the NLG dev means to say this simulator is more impressive than all other development and improvements done by other devs for other coins.
Could anyone enlighten me if the simulator has proven its worth so far, and if, and how it is being used at this time?

I don't think your questions are negative, they are a logical result of the 'haleluja' atmosphere around the simulator development.

Speaking for myself, I honestly don't care if the simulator is good for crypto in general. As long as the simulator can be used by new scam coins to choose their favorite algorithm and multipools like clevermining to optimize their mining techniques the simulator might be a tool that can also be used against crypto.

The simulator itself maybe is a great thing to develop and use, I see it as a necessary part of the new Guldencoin algorithm update and not as a stand alone development that will make the crypto world better.

A good thing that you asked these questions..

Agreed. But it all depends on the motives behind using the simulator when in the hands of others. For analogy: look at money, guns, explosives, vehicles, etc, etc. Just depends on who's using it.

Perhaps make a "key" for the simulator? Dev could still open-source 99% of the code, but if missing that one line, it just won't work. There's the "key". Dev could release that one line of code to quality coins/devs if they ask for it, this way it preserves the idea as long as possible. Granted it will eventually leak out, but this gives more time for the integrity or "innovation" to remain intact. Could keep a log of who's asking permission to use it as well, once scammers get a hold of the code then log is no longer needed. But it buys time.

I could not agree more with Halofire!
This is a major achievement, for the time being this simulator should be associated with the names Geert-Johan and GuldenCoin.
Eventually down the line, when it gets a lot of attention from the community in general, release it fully open source for the better good of the cryptoland.

The simulator will calculate what the best protection needed to prefent the difficulty spikes.  (I think a adjusted Digishield will be good.)
As you know there is a multipool getting easy blocks and immediatly it dumps on the exchange.
When this is fixxed the price get less resistance. And attention offcourse Wink

Allot of other coins are experiencing this same issue with the algorithms.  The simulator will come handy Wink
Guldencoin uses Digishield and a other coin uses the simulator. Cheesy

Devs are working together because its opensource. And its for you to decide wich coin/dev is worth your money.

You see there is a active dev team, community and market intrest.
Already 68 merchants using Guldencoin. Call me a coin in this early stage what is matching this?,There are some but not much.

I remember this coin getting a lot of attention in September because of merchant acceptation, do we have some stats on the popularity of Guldencoin with merchants?

I grabbed a few coins around 400 in the beginning of the month because this is probably the only decent coin with a lot of merchant acceptation and a lot of users actually using it, instead of big plans/big promises and no user at all (99% of the coins out there).

Glad to see the price doing good over 500 satoshis!

3D Printing and Bitcoin, that's pretty cool.

Physical.Criptoe.Com now has a Paypal payment option for credit card/bank purchases.

I am looking in to a referral program as well.  I will release additional info when I get it all sorted out.
