That's probably a bit exaggerated, but with all these new projects starting on the Bancor network, something like x2 - x4 within the end of the year is most likely possible in my opinion. In any case, Bancor doesn't seem to be some random pump and dump scheme, so don't expect x20 gain in a few days

I've seen on their Telegram channel that they will report every two weeks as of now, so hopefully they will. They should definitely share more about the progress. Regarding the new developer, that's right, he should start working on October 12th if I'm not mistaken.

Regarding the major update, according to their last Medium post they hired another developer and expect to have working prototype ready in January. I hope they will have some beta release sooner though.

It's quite possible that people will move their funds to Bitcoin before the fork to get more free coins, it happed already with Bitcoin Cash.
I don't really think that Bitcoin Gold is worth it, but free money is free money

You can still join the DeepOnion airdrop. It's not just filling a form - you need to wear the DO signature and have at least quality posts per week, but it's well worth it. I think that getting about $500 weekly for writing 10+ posts does count as free money Moreover, with such a strong community as DO has, it has a good potential to become one of the top coins in the future.

I'm not sure if it's actually possible to reasonably use Bitcoin Cash right now. Everybody's mining it when difficulty is low, but then it switches to high diff. and most miners switch back to Bitcoin. Then for couple of days you get transaction confirmation once every 4 hours or so. If you want to use it to buy something and they want let's say 5 confirmations, you'll be waiting for a day to get you payment confirmed.

That's right, I would also expect some bigger decrease of the DeepOnion price (all coins are falling down + there's a lot of new Onions put on the market every week), but DO is doing exceptionally well.
I'd say it's thanks to the big and strong community we have here, and also thanks to a lot of visibility this project has thanks to all the signatures, articles and videos being produced every day.

To mitigate the risk, it's probably best to have part of your money in Bitcoin and part in other well established coins like Ethereum for example. By keeping BTC you might win some free coins, but also loose quite a bit of money if it goes badly.

It's not really that impressive gain and the price seems to be stable or going down in the last hours. I'm not saying it's not a good project or anything like that, but all coins go 5 and more % up and down every day, so I wouldn't make big hype about it

The Myst price chart on Bittrex really looks like someone with fat wallet is artificially pushing the price down to buy cheap. You can see it on the flat lines, when someone places a big sell wall, but the market is willing to increase the price, so it stays flat. I think they would be very badly surprised if someone would buy their low-price sell walls instantly

Wow, that would be great, I thought it will take more time until the token will start getting live on the Bancor platform.
I'm particularly looking forward for the Kickico tokens and platform to start, that should bring a lot of capital to the Bancor network.

Just check how Bitcoin Cash is being mined. When the difficulty is high, almost nobody except ViaBTC is mining it and there is one block found every 2 - 4 hours. Then when the difficulty drops because of the low hash rate, all other miners jump in and rape it for quick profit, with block being found every 2 minutes or so. This is repeating over and over again. And the miners are just selling the easy-mined BCH instantly to buy BTC.
I'm pretty sure BCH will just slowly die over time.

It looks like quite a few countries and banks are planning to launch their own cryptocurrencies. It is indeed a very interesting development.
However, it is very difficult now to say how will all these "official" government or bank issued cryptocurrecies influence Bitcoin and the whole crypto ecosystem. It can both boost it and push it down.

It is going to be just another "extra" coin, which everybody will just dump immediately to get some extra free bitcoins. Which is not bad I mean... I like free Bitcoins

So let's see how the market will react to this. As they say in the news: "Our aim is to have the initial Prototype with the first nodes available by January.".

It looks like it is. When even just small part of the money from all these ICOs will be used to buy BNT tokens as a reserve, the BNT price must inevitably go up. And if you plan to buy BNT with Bitcoin, the BNT/BTC rate is probably at all times low.

For now it doesn't hide transactions, i.e. the transactions are still traceable if that's what you meen. DeepOnion just hides your IP, because the nodes are connected over the Tor network.
But devs are already working on DeepSend, which will be basically an integrated coin mixer. Then it will be almost impossible to track any transaction.

Monero's transactions are untraceable already, they use ring signatures which makes them untraceable. However, for now the Monero's nodes are not connected via Tor, so on the other hand your IP is visible.
