81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA NOT ON BITTREX? on: December 13, 2017, 06:52:35 PM
No, IOTA is not on Bittrex yet. But there are rumors that it will be added soon because some people find IOTA mentioned somewhere in their API code, so it seems they are gitting ready to add it.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DAG to Overcome Blockchain? on: December 12, 2017, 01:13:11 PM
I don't think so. Dag projects like IOTA and Byteball are very promising, and have their own unique system and approach to the scalability issues, but no one really knows how they will work once adoption kicks in, because they don't have that many number of users. Maybe if they got tested with a super computer, to see how the system would really work with a huge number of transactions could help them. But even if they prove to be successful, I don't think they will ever kill blockchain, because blockchain projects, are also working hard in order to sove their issues, and are capable of off-chain solutions, like the lightning network, so maybe both can co-exist.

I think that DAG-based cryptos like IOTA and Byteball don't have such big scalability problems by design. I agree that some mass stress test still has to be done to prove it, but my bet is that they will not have any problem with it. What I like the most is that since there are no miners, there will be no "behind the curtains" dirty politics by big miner groups.
Regarding the blockchain projects to solve the problems - yes, we will have lighting network, but it will probably not be implemented in Bitcoin for at least a year from now. And we have problem now already. So I'm curious to see how the situation will look like in the following months.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin 1000 dollar in 2018 on: December 12, 2017, 12:57:58 PM
It might be that many people are switching to Litecoin because of the very high fees and slow transactions on the Bitcoin network nowadays. And if the Bitcoin's problems are not solved soon, I guess we might see even more people going for Litecoin as Bitcoin can't really be used to pay regularly for everyday stuff right now.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Dex is the Future on: December 11, 2017, 08:11:05 PM
With the new Dex and Waves-NG, I think Waves will be even better than Ethereum. Ok, Ethereum has Etherdelta exchange, but the new Waves Dex looks much better. I wouldn't be surprised if Waves would reach parity with Ether at some point next year.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to consolidate/diversify your Alt Coins? on: December 11, 2017, 07:17:26 AM
You obviously need to research every coin you'll be investing in. But in general, if you want to risk more, take a look at low market cap coins, if you don't want to risk much, take a look at those in Top 10 market cap... those have been here for quite some time and are well established.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - buy some more? on: December 09, 2017, 03:20:54 PM
IOTA is highly speculative. Tangle is not working yet and they don't even have a functional wallet.

Of course, it's still in an early development stage, so it must be kind of speculative out of principle. But that's also the reason why the price is where it is now. If everything was ready, working and fully tested, IOTA's market cap would be somewhere at $50-100 bil. It's basically the same with all cryptos - every step forward in the development and utilization makes it more valuable.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin go $15000 before 2018?! on: December 06, 2017, 06:34:51 PM
I think it's very unpredictible right now. Probably the most important thing is opening of the Bitcoin futures markets in December. This might look very positive because Bitcoin will be exposed to a lot of institutional money. However, futures markets work very differently to what we are used in classical Bitcoin trading and they can also easily push the price down big time. I think nobody can really predict what will happen when the markets open.
Of course I hope for $100k Bitcoin, just saying the situation is very unclear at least in short term.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - buy some more? on: December 05, 2017, 07:09:31 PM
Nobody and no real company will actually ever go near it on any of their real projects unless it has been tested in a decentralised way for many many months.

So how come IOTA just partnered with some of the biggest global tech companies in the data marketplace? To me it looks like all of the companies did go futher than near to IOTA. Maybe for them it's not a big issue that it was not yet tested in a decentralised way as long as the basic functionality is there.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Cryptopia 🚀 Airdrop 21 of 40 🚀 New Rules on: December 04, 2017, 10:57:17 PM
DeepOnion is among the hottest coin now.
How much did you make by joining this airdrop?
I am considering joining some other bounty campaign after finishing current one.

Personally I've made around 6000 ONION's, but I was in early before the last set of rule changes. Now the more you invest in DO the more reward you get. You will see around 6-7% reward per week on coins held, plus you will get a decent haul of coins if you are very active in the community. Come join, there is no reason not to!
around 6-7% reward per week, that is huge.
That is more than 30% per month.
So the ONION amount will grow exponentially, will this suppress the price lower and lower?

There is a limited number of airdropped Onions for each airdrop round so the amount of Onions is not growing exponentially. Till round 30, each airdrop round (Friday and Sunday together) will distribute 250,000 Onions, rounds 31-39 will distribute 300,000 Onions and the last 40th round 350,000 Onions.

We hope that if anything will grow exponentially, it will be the future price of DO Grin But currently, we are fine with the steady growth which is more healthy at this still early phase of this wonderful project  Wink

That's right, slower steady growth is much healthier and thus much better that fast pump, where usually as fast dump follows. I'd be much happier if DO grow slowly, but steadily. With steady growth more and more weak hands will sell continuously, so the distribution will become much more even and wide spread... no dramas.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: December 04, 2017, 10:51:19 PM
it depends how this VPN ban is implemented...right now, the firewall is simply a blacklist of IP addresses

heres how things are now.

The Chinese gov would have to blacklist the IP of every out-of-country Mysterium node, to effectively ban the service, and IPs change constantly, depending on what nodes are where...depends how many users we get. i guess we'll see.

Yes, if the firewall will use only IP blocking, the Mysterium Network should be a solution. It will be impossible for the Chinese governement to block thousands of ever-changing IP addresses. They might however use deep packet inspection (see Wikipedia article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_packet_inspection ) it can be more complicated even for a decentralized VPN to avoid being blocked. Let's see how the Mysterium devs will address this. In any case, decentralized VPN will always be way better, safer and probably also cheaper than centralized one.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for opinion on Altcoin Deeponion? on: December 02, 2017, 08:10:38 PM
I also planned to invest in deepcoin, but I pay attention for trade platforms and trade volume for all the coins. Deeponion has serious low trade volume problem. I passed it simply.

They need to hit more trade volume to attract others.

DeepOnion did have quite low trading volume, but it's increasing substantially during the past two weeks (check coinmarketcap). Considering it's only on two mineor exchanges right now, the current daily trading volume of 6-12 BTC seems reasonably high. Also the community is growing rapidly, which gives DO a good backup.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - buy some more? on: December 02, 2017, 12:07:58 PM
IOTA is looking strong with recently announced partnerships:

Yep, there are very big names behind the data marketplace they're building. But this is all just the beginning, I'd bet that with such strong support, IOTA will go at least to $10 within the next year. And I'm sure that also other big exchanges will list IOTA very soon as none of them wants to miss on exchange fees with such big trading volumes.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - buy some more? on: November 28, 2017, 10:34:21 PM
I would say that DAG-based cryptocurrencies in general, so both IOTA and Byteball, will rise substantially very soon. Although I believe that Bitcoin will also rise further, it will mostly serve as a storage of value, not as a currency. It's simply too slow for that, with too high transaction costs. DAG cryptos are much better suited for this. However, this has obviously not been recognized by the market yet, which gives a chance to buy & hodl & profit big time. IOTA is on the rise already, but my bet is that it's only the beginning.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one will bankrupt first: Tezos or Bancor? on: November 26, 2017, 07:38:29 PM
I didn't pay much attention to Tezos, but Bancor seems to be reviving lately. Quite a lot of new tokens is launching on the Bancor platform and using the Bancor protocol, which should add more value and liquidity to the whole Bancor network. I'm not saying it's the best project ever, but I think that after long time it's looking promising again.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero and Darkcoin are the Top Privacy coins on: November 26, 2017, 07:07:09 PM
Monero and Darkcoin are the only Anon coins worth using. They have extremely goodt dev teams and great infrastructure.

Not for long my friend. Take a look at DeepOnion's roadmap. It already has Tor integrated, all communication is routed over Tor. It has DeepVault, i.e. file authenticity verification where file hashes are stored directly on the blockchain. It will have fully untraceable transactions in a few weeks (DeepSend) and Smart contracts in a few months.
I really like Monero, it has good PoW algo and the ring signature tech is cool, but the DeepOnion progrss seems to be faster.
Never heared of Darkcoin though, I'll check it out Smiley
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY is a preference to dag-technology, like a BYTEBALL or IOTA? on: November 26, 2017, 06:29:46 PM

Thanks for sharing the article here.
I also prefer Byteball over IOTA for personal use as a cryptocurrency, but it's true that IOTA is better for machine-machine interactions. In the end, it was ment to be like that by their design. So I'd say they don't intend to compete each other, but they both can compete older blockchain-based currencies, at least in some aspects.
Also, the author correctly states in the article that especially Byteball seems to be highly undervalued by the market, considering the improvements it brings.

So, you also belive that byteball will rise more in near future?

Yes I do. It has huge technological advantage over blockchain-based cryptocurrencies and I'm sure that slowly but surely this will be recognized also by the market. IMHO the market cap of Byteball should be somewhere close to IOTA, at least.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY is a preference to dag-technology, like a BYTEBALL or IOTA? on: November 26, 2017, 04:30:44 PM
I found a nice article on Steemit comparing Byteball and IOTA: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@jimmco/byteball-vs-iota-battle-of-two-dag-cryptocurrencies

The author of the article concludes:
"After making this research I must say I like both of these projects although I consider ByteBall more interesting for general crypto user like myself. As I said there are not much danger for each other but rather for some older types of crypto coins. Simply said ByteBall is great for man-man or man-bot interactions and IOTA for machine-machine or man-machine interaction."

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold on: November 26, 2017, 03:51:09 PM
I would say that Bitcoin Gold is similar crap as Bitcoin Cash - both of them are rather useless and were made only to gain some quick profit for their founders.
However, Bitcoin Gold, unlice BCH, has at least a better hashing algorythm implemented.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: November 26, 2017, 01:04:13 PM
Now, at least, they hired more developers, so the progress should be much faster as of now.
As long as I know, the first "prototype" launch should be in January. I'm quite sure that the market will reflect it once there is some working, even prototype, product up and running.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Cryptopia 🚀 Airdrop 20 of 40 🚀 New Rules on: November 26, 2017, 12:53:39 PM
we banned about 100 DP abuser members
we have about 1300 members this round with high dp balance,

It must take a lot of time and effort to hunt for hundreds of abusers within thousands of members.
It's good that at least the rules of the main airdrop are now resistant to abusers, because having multiple accounts doesn't bring any benefit... that was well thought Smiley
