161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DRM] Dreamcoin Revival 100% Proof Of Stake 15% Stake Rate on: May 27, 2014, 01:51:16 PM
still around folks. the people involved in dream seem very solid right now, and that's always a huge part of my consideration before I buy into anything. unfortunately I have to wait 6days (for payday) b4 I can purchase some dreams of my own. however on two separate occasions, yesterday and today I have noticed the price of Dream jump to $0.12 and then back down to below $0.04. would much appreciate someone to shed some lite on these crazy spikes, , a comment from johnny_non would be appreciated, but anyone with any insight?? I strongly suspect a friendly whale type investor who I won't mention by name, maybe he is attempting to get the attention of potential buyers? the reason I ask is because these sudden spikes resemble pump n dump spikes I have seen on blatant shitcoins, which am sure this is not, (in truth I have also seen this on goodcoins which were temporarily manipulated by unscrupulous individuals) anyone have any insight??

Yea, If u are thinking into investing to this coin, hold on for a while. We have to restructure
source code, website and Block Explorer all invalid, Dump all my this ugly coin, Good luck

plz read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=620276.msg6868306#msg6868306

Hi guys. I got Mathgamain's msg, and just had to check in.

Well, then, we start over. The good news is, those who are thinking of adding to their stash of DRMs, price is really really friendly right now. Smiley

Pls continue the work being done -- by icecube for the multipool -- when it launches, it can only help the coin.

The website and github are down, but we already know nfox has the source code and anything else that's needed to rebuild a bigger, better coin, can be retrieved from explorer cache memory or built from the ground up, i think.

Anyway, I'm glad for the presence of Mathgamain, CS, Icecube, Nfox, and all dreamers out there. We just need to be more wary going forward. To some extent, maybe we mistreated Carsen, like we weren't coddling and praising enough. And, if he really did hav good intentions and we simply pushed him too hard and too often, pressing for progress reports and news and whatnot, then ok we should be big enough to admit that and apologize.

I giv him no excuses though, insofar as his move to delete and lock down what he had access to, coz it simply comes off as somthing of a tantrum move. The worst kind of tantrum -- one that costs people money.

So that's a lesson we learn, lets try not to leave our new DRM coin open to this kind of misbehavior.

Anyway I'm ranting, i'll let u guys get to work. To the active community who will help in rebuilding: it will be tough times ahead, but if you like that kind of challenge and the psychic and financial success that comes with it, u know you've got ur dream job right here.   Smiley

Peace and prosperity u guys Smiley

(P.s. Dev group: of course, u will buy some DRMs before u release progress reports, that way u buy low and can sell high once the price reflects the good news you release. It's only fair -- u work ur butts off, after all.)

(P.p.s. Hope I can contribute more than mere words trying to rally the troops, but the wife and I are still expecting our new baby soon. 48 hrs is the countdown. Wish us well, u guys.)

(another p.s.: this one a disclosure: I'll hold my coins. Sure, I can keep fretting over the value of my DRM coins, and be cranky and an overall agitated bastard to everybody I interact with in the coming days coz I made a bad bet in the markets. But it's immature. It's little better than what Carsen did, lashing out by deleting what he could. In the grand scheme of things, our friends and family and community are more important, a few lost BTCs during this time is not worth the lasting damage to our relationships. Which is all the more reason I feel sad for Carsen. He could have handled this so much better and with more grace and maturity. Quoting MyFarm, Dev Carsen still needs a lot of maturing and coaching, and he may yet become a great dev someday. Thanks for creating a good coin, now I hope you can find the maturity to let us continue in peace the work that you started.)

Hmmm!! My words for Carsen may have been overharsh without being in his shoes. What you say above is more on point. At this stage it would be very advisable to openly define the type of community you guys are establishing by openly declaring what DRM is to stand for (principle wise) and putting forward some kind of community standard behaviour guidelines.  A great non trolling good spirited community is a blessing to any coin and or dev.

Am new to dreamcoin. Haven't yet bought any but have been following the previous threads. If the old dev is completely gone, out of the picture, and you guys are just as eager to make dream as innovative as collegstudent, hoser, and anonymousxx1503, we're discussing in "funding DRM's anon project" thread, then am in. Can I hear the answer to this..jus cos it would make me dance just to hear it. Is that old egotistical/semi-psychotic dev FULLY gone???  You guys can now legitimately do what you want??? (With help and support ofcourse)
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dreamcoin [DRM] - X11 - PoW/PoS - Poloniex - Bittrex ~ 15% PoS! on: May 22, 2014, 03:08:58 AM
No one is taking over this coin. I am the developer and I always will be unless someone wants to partner with me. I am really sick of reading posts about community takeover.
So can provide any future goals
seriously? goal?
the only goal for altcoin is only one, and forever one, TAKE OVER SATOSHI's THRONE!
X11 will take over any alt coins, why? better performance than scrypt, faster, more profit, 30% lower GPU temp.

only 1goal sir...
or did you think DRM will take over world's currency?  Cheesy hope so, i'll dream that too
"If you consider (like I am) crypto as startups, you will seek for the one with the best plans behind. And anonymity is NOT a plan. Anonymity is a feature. Same for multipools. Why the fuck should I care about a multipool if nobody wants the coin. So it's also a feature and not a plan. Branding is a plan; marketing is a plan; finding new ways to distribute a coin is a plan. In case you haven't understand yet, all those crypto pop'ing out are made by miners, for miners, so you have 2 solutions; p'n'd'n'die, or p'n'd'n'p'n'd' ' ' ', because of great community management / improving the infrastructure behind the coin; finding new ways to market it etc.

It can't rely on 1 man. Darkcoin have a great dev for sure, but would be nothing without its community and without their big holders keeping up a big part of its supply out of the market."   X11 is also a feature and not a plan. Community cohesion and unity is the best foundation for any plan any altcoin could hope to have. An organised minority will always rule over a disorganised majority.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Pandacoin[PND] The only POS coin with 3 mths POW mining phase| Multipool| No premine or IPO on: May 22, 2014, 02:37:13 AM
wallet 2.0.1 open 137030 blocks downloaded, last block 3 hours ago, not staking yet, but 25 active connections Smiley
perhaps staking later due to high diff?
Yup... so far this PoS transition is an epic fail.  Dev's failed miserably at implementing PoS - now they simply say that these bugs are "normal".  Normal for crap code maybe.

PoS starting diff was retardedly low (rather unacceptable), resulting in block spam and now a savagely high diff and no blocks for hours.

Nobody can move their coins, making this a serious failure.

There will always be something that may go wrong with innovation.

I am very pleased with the dev team that weathered through good times and bad times and push forward.  Unlike many dev who simply just gave up and release one junkcoin after another.

Test environment can be very different from the reality.  Especially with so many miners jump onboard at once on an unprecedented transition from a pure PoW to PoS with the longest distribution time.

I don't mind hiccups so long devs are willing to push the boundary further and upgrade the coin over time.

I am sick of jumping from a shit coin to another shit coin.  I am going to consolidate all the shitcoins to PND.  A coin with a dedicated devs that never give up and a growing community is the one with staying power.   Everything else is pump and dump scams.
+1mill. Sounds like phzi needs an injection of PND optimism and resilience.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: May 14, 2014, 11:11:34 AM
Forgot to mention PNDcoin also made mintpal history a few days ago by being the first coin EVER to be re enlisted on Btc markets after being relagated to Ltc market. Also no IPO, no Premine-zero-nada. None. Also like dogecoin, blackcoin, devcoin and asiacoin. Did I mention the PND team reimbursed a lot of asiacoin holders after a recent asiacoin scam which has been successfully reversed by the asiacoin community? Cheesy
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: May 14, 2014, 10:13:49 AM
Pandacoin PND multiplied its value by 6 over a three day period. In less than two months it has come from below numba 126 on coinmarketcap to num 37: marketcap has gone up from under $10 000 to $396,436 MASSIVE WOW everybody. 24hr volume has gone up from double digit, an triple digit figures to four and five digit figures.  Committed dev and community from day dot. One of the few coins to stay Pow for 3months, will adopt Pos 21stmay.  Extremely cheap to invest in still. No one need feel excluded. But this train is picking up momentum by the day. Glad am part of it. Wink
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Official PandaCoin thread! [PND][Scrypt][KGW][0% PREMINE] on: April 01, 2014, 11:47:47 PM
MASSIVE congratulations to everyone who continues to support PNDcoin. have been following this coin since about 1 or two Weeks before it hit coinmarketcap. always loved it and everything it stands for. bought 9mill coins about 4Weeks ago when everything was really bad. am not  selling. infact my target is 100mill.  Grin ,we'll see how that goes. in about 5months wen am not so focused on my  day job, I will seriously like to start helping with marketing. my encouragement is keep working hard guys. came into the  crypto scene in december, just in time to fall in love with dogecoin and have witnessed the crazy explosion in new coins. I can see now that this industry is going to mirror , clothes, cars, cornerstone, offlicences or any other normal industry with loads of players in it. what am trying to say is that the future is going to belong to the hardest workers first. out of the hardest workers those who have the best marketing strategy will forge ahead. after that it will be down to those with the best/morals,principles and are able to engage the average citizen whil :-*e staying innovative (marketing?). this  is what's ahead guys. I will stay loyal to PND..and know that you have silent supporters out there. PND has a serious potential to be great while changing lots of peoples lives for the better. I AM IN!!  this is stopbeingreedy signing out for now. really hope you guys don't loose faith in what you are building because success, rewards  and more helpers will surely be added to you if you persevere. CIAO!! for now! Kiss Kiss
