Said it before and I will say it again. This coin is a very easy contender for monero, dash and others on the first page of coinmarketcap.
At these prices it is a steal!
No crazy controversies from the team for many years now.
This is a solid businesse model.
Good luck to anyone who misses their chance to get on the boat now.😊

Hello good people.
I just heard that cryptopia has updated their terms and conditions.
Does this mean they now need documentation and i.d on every account?
If so how does this affect old accounts without all these KYC bullshit attached to them?
Am on holiday so I left all crypto accounts passwords and p stuff at home.
I can't really check anything for myself till three weeks.
Yeah!! When I go on holiday I try to leave as much technology away from me as possible!
Any thoughts or answers would be appreciated!
TIA!

Could someone just tell me clearly.... What would the actual XST coin itself be used for?
This is easily one of the most solid anonymity coins. No need for significant increase in mining powers and such to support the network. Look at stealthpay.com -- theres already a fiat gateway. This is one of the best indicators that this project is on the up & up Absolutely. No hype, no drama. Just quality. It is already a rival to monero and Dash imho. This coin is like that kid with mad talent who hasn't been discovered yet.

I would like to make a request. As we approach the May 15th fork, it would be nice if the mods would allow the news to be displayed on top of all the pages...like.. News: Latest stable version of Bitcoin ABC 0.17.1 [Torrent]. (New!) Bitcoin core version is being called bitcoin(BTC). I hope Bitcoin cash has justified its reason to you guys for calling itself Bitcoin(BCH) aswell. Displaying two bitcoins with two different tickers seems like a good compromise for most (i think) Bitcoins- Bitcoin core (BTC) Bitcoin cash (BCH) Please consider this request as i think all Bitcointalk users deserve a fair chance to decide which version of Bitcoin they would like to use and learn about. Thank you I know it is sad to admit and I am not happy to say it but the btc deprecated chain does not even deserve the name bitcoin there IMO @mods Hi guys. Been away for a bit. Can someone fill me in on this may 15th fork plz? What's being forkd? Is. There airdrop? TIA.

Dreamers!
I sent Tomi some suggestions/solutions. It's pretty much too late to rollback to the original 1.85million DRMs. I think we should keep at the 18.5million or less as stated in the OP. However, less shouldn't be less than the current block so that it doesn't upset anyone who have been mining DRM since the launch. I think we're safe until block 18000 or so. However, this is Tomi's coin and it's up to him to decide. It's only my opinion but Tomi is a fair guy. I'm pretty sure if many dreamers agree with me, he'll go for it. Anyways, keep mining and dream on!
Still dreaming, no joke! But anyhow! This coin is much undervalued. Done!

Anyone knows what is exactly happening with BX Thailand? I used to trade Panda there a lot, and rather recently they didn't require this local ID verification. Is this change permanent? Is anyone not from Thailand able to normally trade there?
Sounds like the same thing that's happening everywhere, govts are demanding KYC/AML capabilities on exchanges. Sorry to hear it... Hmmmm. It is a shame indeed! We must fight for our freedom. Decentralised exchanges are offering some light at the end of the tunnel right now though. The people who scare me are China! Only because they have managed to lock off their entire internet! I just keep thinking that if China can do it, then theoretically anyone can do it. Which inevitably means that long term we are all fucked.(xcuse my French)

I want to thank you gunner833 for your detailed informations about xspecter. Hard to find and get such neutral and informative informations. Unfortunately I started reading about your postings today. I am holding some coins and would have sold most of them if I would followed your postings earlier. I am not sure what to do now since the price is down and I am holding a small amount of coins. Anyway I will try to keep following your posts, they seem valuable.
Dude, there is a core community which isn't abandoning this project. You know what that means? You and anyone else with the same sentiments only have to sell your coins little by little as the price recovers. You will be able to get your money back. Or you could panic sell now---entirely up to you. Some of us are playing a long term game and are accumulating.

Sad to day but it looks like the fudders are winning right now with former investors dumping like crazy. All alts are down but this is even downer. Can we estimate when something solid will be released to quieten these fudsters? Days / weeks / months?
Definitely not months. Jbg commented on this today, he is recovering from this loss of a family member, and will continue working on 1.4 now. The original release was maybe a week late on the original plan (end of February), plus we have one week delay because of his loss, so think about 2 weeks maybe? There is no hurry, everyone who is still in the game now doesn't even care if it will be delayed. Former investors sell, new investors get in ... that's the market guys. If you want to make an investment decision, watch the fundamentals and then draw your own conclusions. In the meanwhile we are also talking to developers who could be interested in joining as an additional core developer, and make plans to get the wider developer community involved as well. It's all getting better! Absolutely: two crucial rules anyone involved in this crypto game must follow to avoid heartache and pain. 1: Always do as much research as you can before you get involved in a project. 2:invest only what you are happy and comfortable to let go of. That's why I say it's fantastically healthy for Xspec to have come under such scrutiny at this stage. The project is here to stay. This should allow those who need to cash out to do so. But many are innit for the long term. Many of us have already made our decision. Internal wrinkles will be ironed out, the project will move forward. Xspec does have a loyal and committed following which believes in its future.

Nothing has really happened. My understanding is the Devs in general are late with updates, mainly because they have other real life concerns and are seemingly working on this project for free at the moment. So v 1.4 being late isn't a concern to me at all, especially since the main dev has explained his week long absence on the Discord channel.
The price drop seems to be in large part because of the above linked forum post calling XSpec a scam, and then using only a few lines of code to prove their point. What bothers me most is that while the code may be simpler than we expected, the devs aren't making off with millions of dollars of investors funds. THIS IS NOT A SCAM! It may not be the privacy changing coin we all expected, but to call it a "scam" is idiotic. A poor project would be much better English than calling it a scam, although I think the project is fine.
Personally I don't mind the FUD because I've been able to quadruple my XSpec holdings this weekend alone. The project is fine--stop letting price changes over short periods change your opinions. (Or keep panic selling to me, that's fine too!)
they are not working for free...they get about 6000 euros a month in donations. And they are supposedly working full time, but the github commits from last year doesn't reflect that. Yes there sooo many commits but if you look a bit into them other the the tor integration there is absolutely nothing! And even the tor integration has the firefox binaries just copied over. It's not a native one like advertised. So what have they been doing with all this time? Jesus, do you realize what two full time devs can accomplish in 1 year? Doesn't change the fact that. Xspec is still here! It's not going away. And it's one of the best low priced privacy coins on the market. correction: shadowcoin is still here. Xspec is shadowcoin with 1 dodgy guy that tries to convince us that there are two full time developers working on the project, while taking donations from everybody. I'll eat my words when these two developers finally deliver some code that is more then a UI update or library upgrade. Aaand in the meantime crypto marches on. As does Xspec. If you don't like it get out already. In the meantime am accumulating cheap coins. All this news is healthy for Xspec. Let those. Who can't handle it leave. The rest of us know where this ship is going and we are staying put. No hard feelings.
