161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 18, 2018, 12:23:35 AM
Well, I dumped a mess of LTC at the BTC low and the LTC low....(my skills at when to sell are impressive (not))

Bad timing, I just read about some new features getting added to litecoin that might pump the price.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ANN] 🌐 PagareX 🌐 ICO 17.01.2018 on: January 18, 2018, 12:18:35 AM
If some states are banned, i want my money back. They should have listed on their site if so.

According to a youtuber, he actually got a respond from support saying USA and China are banned from ICO. Plus their KYC is coming soon too which means that you would have to authenticate yourself. I just want to hear it from here if its official that USA can or can't participate.

How do you know KYC is coming soon?

If residents of the USA and China are banned from ICO the OP should clearly let them know before investing, and if KYC is coming soon the OP should say it. Some people won't want to submit sensitive documents for KYC.

What will make FOME different to all the other POS coins? Will it have ground breaking new technology in its wallet?
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: January 17, 2018, 11:50:32 PM
For today, Dash is practically the only top-end crypto currency, which is at a good level and does not reduce the price in relation to bitcoin.
Perhaps the dash in 2018 will keep its popularity and everything will be one of the best ways to transfer money. Bitcoin has long been unable to cope with this task. Ethereum also became long and with a large commission.

How fast does dash transfer money? How long does it take until a transaction is fully confirmed?

The OP says it supports instant transactions, but are all transactions instant, or do you have to pay more to get them confirmed instantly?

Not sure if people realize the gravity of this announcement. This is really huge and a game changer!!

Imagine if people could get verified on Byteball platform (with the verified ID hash stored on DAG) and have control to choose to post your verified identity publicly or privately. What do you think will be the preferred ICO platform for all the new ICOs?

Putting all the pieces together -

# No KYC/AML or regulatory hassles since the participating user's identity can be established and verified,
# Flexibility of accepting ETC, BTC and GB via the ICO-bot,
# No network congestion like the one seen in Ethereum's network during major ICOs (one word - DAG)
# Not just new crypto ICOs, just imagine if Financial Institutions want to issue tokens and comply with KYC/AML regulations, who do you think they would turn to?

# What's the incentive for a user to register on Byteball platform you ask?
         - If they verify their identity once, they can participate in any future ICOs without worrying about the email-registrations, ETH/BTC address white-listing, KYC pre-checks etc. It would just be a simple one-click participation.
         - Still not enough of an incentive you say? Think cashback from the undistributed pool for registering your identity on the platform Wink

As I said before, this is huge and we will see this happen in the coming weeks! Buy as many GB as you can before Tony announces this! Byteball is gonna blow up once people realize how awesome it is, with all of this!

This IS HUGE!

Another massive piece falls into place - outstanding.

"ByteBall" - Simply the best P2P Digital Asset Value Transfer & Storage Platform for the Age of the Distributed Ledger.

That jumio page says the new system is launching on the Byteball platform today. Can anyone see it integrated in the wallet yet?

I can't get access to my wallet until tomorrow.

The new Jumio-enabled identity verification feature will be launched on the Byteball platform on 17th January 2017.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][STN] Steneum Coin on: January 17, 2018, 11:18:23 PM
Can anyone participate in this ICO?

The ICO is over it ended when all the coins were sold before the January 1 deadline. You can buy Steneum on Cryptopia, Coinexchange and BTC-Alpha.

The OP doesn't list information for all those three exchanges. It needs updating as it only lists two.

Isnt Mistertango limited to 200 EUR per month or something like that?

As mentioned by another poster above, it’s 200 Euros without fees but you can withdraw much more and will be charged the usual fees imposed on other cards. It’s a clever attempt to encourage card holders to use the card more often in the retail environment (for shopping, POS-based payments etc) rather than cash withdrawals. Limiting the no-fee threshold to 200 Euros will probably urge the fee-conscious card holder to withdraw no more than that much cash and use the card to pay in stores and shops instead. Excessive cash withdrawals are treated as suspicious by just about any card provider on this planet.

You can of course withdraw much more than 200 EUR but it might not be a good idea to withdraw thousands daily. This will trigger alarm bells.

Do you what is the issuer of their card? Is see they re based in Lithuania.

Things might have changed since HostFat posted this link.

However, the final paragraph of that PDF says the card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd.

Todays trades...
buy btc at 9300 and sell at 11700 (will rebuy)
buy eth at 800 and sell at 1015
buy xrp at 0.92 and sell at 1.38

Said by MasterTera2

He's not trading on stamp. The stamp high since the dip is $11576. The kraken and cex are the exchanges that have gone to that price so far.
I traded xrp and eth on stamp and btc on poloniex. I saw someone fat finger it to 11700 and jumped on it right away.

Pray you never need support from poloniex. It takes months of waiting to get a reply, with your money in limbo.
Ive been withdrawing my max limit from poloniex almost every day for the past 1-2 months. I have a ticket that has been sitting for 4 months.

The delay between opening a ticket and getting a reply is probably over five months by now, and it keeps getting longer. It will probably be a year long delay soon unless they hire more support staff.

172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin 2.0: Building the largest network of payment locations. on: January 17, 2018, 07:58:22 PM

Private- ICO

We completed a private ICO with the pre-mined coins, and the proceeds from this will go to a retailer interface – and reimburse all retailers fees related to Bitcoin 2.0 for the next 11 years until the market is more consistant.

How many premined coins are there? How much did your private ICO raise?

Will Sigil soon get listed on some bigger exchanges than coinhouse.eu? It hasn't got much volume apart from the Electra and Litecoin markets.

I had a look at Notlambchop’s post history. Doesn’t look sufficiently literate to be an FT journalist.  More of a word salad type like Roach.  We do have a track record of attracting the mentally ill.  But I’m sure it’s worse elsewhere.

Looking at his posts put things into perspective for me. Three years ago he was predicting $80 coins. Three years later we will think it's the end of the world if bitcoin crashes back to $8000.

What the forum needs is the option to restrict posting in moderated topics to an activity level set by the topic starter. This would at least require spam accounts to build up activity first and thus make the ignore button meaningful.

I wonder if Adam would be agreeable to a script that would auto-delete posts from users below a certain post count...

good idea imo!

I'm not sure that would work too well.

NotLambchop has made 7480 posts, but look at the shit he posted.

Good morning, gentlemen.  Still at it I see?

178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][amc]ANGELA MERKEL COIN pos pow x11 algo on: July 23, 2016, 03:21:46 PM
This is the most worst coin I have seen by now.
And OP needs to do some homework next time before starting  coin if ever you think f doing another one. LOL.

amc needs a pool!

Nobody needs a pool for a crappy coin like this.
If you care then why dont you make one yourself?

All the awful feedback this coin's received indicates that you will soon be able to CPU mine it with no pool, or even mining equipment required. This is not going to be the next dogecoin, especially with the giant premine. The dev will probably give up on it soon and disappear for good.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 22, 2016, 10:45:18 PM

that DAO/ETH fuck up completely killed the momentum

When ethereum launched you could see in vitalik's eyes there were going to be fuck ups. I thought they would only affect ethereum, but they seem to have affected bitcoin both positively and negatively. Immediately after the hack it was positive for bitcoin, but the ethereum dead cat bounce afterwards was negative for bitcoin.

its bad because it brings back old and very painful memories for the btc community. woithout this mess we would be talking right now if btc is able to get over 1000 or not, but so? i dont know but the halving will have no immediate effect and a real halving rally wont happen with just a few days left, so that thing is already done.

This screenshot from an automated technical indicator site says it's a strong buy on the week and month scale, so things might not be as bad as they appear. The indicators aren't always correct but it's something to consider.

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARDOR NXT on: June 22, 2016, 04:05:06 PM
It would be simpler to understand if you said buy some nxt, hold them, and you get some free Ardor coins. Explain how anyone holding nxt in his wallet during the following three months gets a share of the new Ardor coin proportional to the number of nxt he holds.

Saying "the Nxt core dev team is letting anyone get into the blockchain space with a new child chain platform, Ardor" is too technical to understand.

I have bought some nxt and want my free Ardor coins, and the nxt price chart shows others are buying nxt to get their share of the free Ardor coins.

I think Ardor is a good idea but it could be promoted better with simpler explanations of how to get free Ardor coins.
