161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GLBSE new TOS and share transfer services suspended on: April 08, 2012, 09:24:21 AM
I hope this doesnt mean a reversal in the bonds ive already paid for, and a future increase on the agreed pre-sale price for them.

in worst case price increase would be .5 % of fees
(this is how I understood the transfer stop drama)

without transfers between accounts this becomes pita
162  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: April 08, 2012, 09:09:05 AM
but glbse has only 1 type of offering. help design new features and make them properly behave (in the specs) so they don't mislead ppl from real world. ; )
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GLBSE new TOS and share transfer services suspended on: April 08, 2012, 08:35:23 AM
issuer already paid fees for creating the IPO
and there will be secondary market trading with fees
and some of the shares will also make it in the initial offer
I don't fully understand this move to cancel transfers & even the ipo/7 seems no longer be linked from main page / menu

I'm not getting much of a response from PMs with Nefario, so I'll post in here. I can't do much (anything) in the settings, can my account be deleted so I can re-setup password and two step auth?

as far as I could find out, you only can activate 2step auth for any of the 3 options and it's a one way street.
once you enable it for any of the options, it stays on and can not be changed later.

the good news is, all 3 options when activated, return the same code so it's enough to write it down once.
if you missed three chances to write down a code can't help you.

if you can't do anything now means you already clicked on all 3 buttons that activate 2step auth for withdrawal, transfer and password change and you're done. if you did not have 2step auth activated prior to that step, no idea how to help you now.

if you need a new account, just create a new one (with a different email, though) and use the new one.
deleting an account is something only nefario can help you with
168  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The last few days on GLBSE on: April 07, 2012, 06:54:42 AM
Nefario, I think you over reacted because of your dealings with Lambert and that’s understandable. You want to keep too many incidents like that from happening on GLBSE but you can’t! No one blames you for Lambert and no one would blame you for Goat if he ended up being a scammer. I will continue to use GLBSE but I would like you to reconsider using your power to control funds like a Bitcoin regulatory agency. That goes against the reason I use Bitcoin. If I wanted frozen funds I’d trade auction-rate securities on Wall Street.

the part bold is in my opinion at least questionable (read BS). just look at the user that complained about his own actions costing him money. he has sold assets at glbse before getting dividends and also sold cheaper then he bought  ... he would be crying even louder if an asset he owned would turned out be completely worthless.

So what do people suggest as a solution. I see people complaining that GLBSE isn't doing enough, and other people complaining that it is trying to do too much. What's the balance? What needs to happen to make people comfortable? I'd love to hear what people think.

i don't know where to draw the line either. maybe small step to enable asset issuers to promote themselves. let them edit part of the asset description that could be url to a thread/forum, account on facebook, you name it. let people verify for them self and the asset issuer to provide a link. (i see also possible flaws - links edited, removed, pointing to foreign/not-authentic resources; welcome feedback on this)

i think it's impossible to please everyone. keep doing as you think is best, it's you who has to live with the consequences of your actions (and it's your project/server/idea to begin with). if you'd follow external advice against your own accord, you'd be just more disturbed and disappointed.
169  Economy / Lending / Re: ISSUE WITH GOATS TYGRR-BANK BONDS. on: April 06, 2012, 04:26:52 PM
I will state this again.  He didn't deliver on what he promised in his offering.

I understood this the first time you wrote that
and you're probably not aware that payments are not automatic but must be triggered by the asset manager
if the account was locked, then you should wait for him to regain access.

do you also claim the 0.5 % sales fee in your "lost profit"?
170  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TyGrr-Bank 3% weekly dividends (2.5% starting April 3rd) on: April 06, 2012, 03:34:55 PM
Suggestion:  add a note to the OP (and perhaps on GLBSE) that dividends are owed to and paid to only the holders of record at the time dividends are paid.

People used to "regular" stock markets might be expecting there to be the usual ex-dividend, record, and payment dates.

the main developer is aware of that and afaik it's in his to do list
but thanks for insight to 'regular' markets
171  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TyGrr-Bank 3% weekly dividends (2.5% starting April 3rd) on: April 06, 2012, 03:34:00 PM
not 100 %
and I did not buy @.103  ; )
172  Economy / Lending / Re: ISSUE WITH GOATS TYGRR-BANK BONDS. on: April 06, 2012, 01:35:35 PM
but why did you sell to whoever offered the .008x btc per bond?
this is the question. I've lost money on mtgox I know how it feels to produce a net loss by trading and I think I can see how you feel about the loss but I can't see why you blame others for your own actions?

or did I miss a line somewhere where you write your account was hacked and you did not issue the sell order yourself?
173  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TyGrr-Bank 3% weekly dividends (2.5% starting April 3rd) on: April 06, 2012, 01:28:37 PM
bitcoin welfare and bitcoin bailouts.

yes! let's be responsible for the ignorance of others!
I sold after dividend 1 (goat's coupon) but before dividend 2 (glbse sorry payment), where shall I apply for the lost money?
 </sarcasm>
174  Economy / Lending / Re: ISSUE WITH GOATS TYGRR-BANK BONDS. on: April 06, 2012, 01:19:24 PM
I bought 926 bonds at 99.90 and sold 926 bonds at 77.252.  I didn't received Goats promised .1 BTC per bond like promised in his post.

why, why, why did you sell them in the market for the unfortunate price?

you should not have sell low and buy high. were you buying high?

person that bought the 926 bonds for 77.252 is the guy who got the coupon payment and is the new owner who can sell them back at the face value to goat or at a price he finds acceptable in the market.
175  Economy / Auctions / Re: 7-day auction: 1784.38 BTC in Shakaru debt on: April 05, 2012, 11:45:18 PM

177  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TyGrr-Bank 3% weekly dividends (2.5% starting April 3rd) on: April 05, 2012, 09:32:31 PM
will be interesting to watch https://glbse.com/asset/view/TYGRR-BANK for weekly dividend payments
that shows now also number of shares that got them ...

rofl. no shares have been bought back by goat. they all remain in circulation.
whoever bought back roomservice's position it was not the issuer's account
at least technically no bond was sold back to issuer and whoever the mystery buyer was today, it's not the asset-manager account. simply looking at the number of shares that got the dividends.

if it is an unintended mismanagement and the bonds are in your private account, you'll be paying to yourself every time you pay dividends, unless you transfer them to tygrr-bank account. only that way they won't count in future.

http://p2pool.info/

please have a look how p2pool uses the stats to show 2 values in the same table.
could it be used to track traded volume at current price?
179  Economy / Marketplace / Re: TYGRR-BANK shareholders get an extra dividend on: April 05, 2012, 09:23:49 PM
could have paid that to users who held those shares on Tuesday Wink
180  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many days do I have to wait if I want to get a fake passport in Thailand? on: April 05, 2012, 06:42:33 PM
Goat, see the bounty. If you're still there 6 months later with none of your asset default, I will apology for my wild speculation about your being a scammer. However, I still persist that your high rate of return in such large operation is mission impossible. So, hold on.

https://blockchain.info/address/1A1zVVvpgoH63pVniyCoao3LHL3RE6jB5S

that will be early October. I put that in my calendar and will poke you HorseRider unless you'll post first or situation would evolve in unpredicted ways.

it's not that long ago there were fights in the streets of Thailand (police vs opposing political party supporters), flood and who knows what the future brings.
