It says connection is not private. I guess no third party certificate. They should work on that before doing any further marketing.
162  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: TomosMining - HIGHEST PAID MINING (BTC->FaucetHub) 5% REF! on: January 20, 2018, 09:43:21 AM
That's faucethub flagging you referring yourself. It has little to nothing to do with Tomos but is rather part of faucethub's anti fraud system.

Referring myself??? How is that even possible with mining? Any idea how to unreferrer myself if that’s the case? Thanks
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: January 20, 2018, 02:25:57 AM
Do any one use the Mac wallet?
I can't open the v.1.3.5 wallet on Mac.
The wallet crashed when opening.
Does anyone have the similar case?

It kept failing on my Mac El Capitan on 1.3.4 and 1.3.5, but after re-downloading for the 3rd time, I tried to open, it failed (Spectre quit unexpectedlt). But then I checked the sha256, tried to open Spectre again and it worked! Not sure why or how, but it finally did!  Cheesy

Looks pretty neat too! Great job devs!  Cool
164  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: TomosMining - HIGHEST PAID MINING (BTC->FaucetHub) 5% REF! on: January 20, 2018, 02:01:03 AM
Hi tomos,

Why does it keep saying Fraud in my FaucetHub referral payments???

Anyone else getting this:

Am I doing something wrong or is it a mistake? Thanks

P.S. BTW, I mine from multiple PCs from the same building using different BTC address like you told me (because you don't have workers feature yet).

I've been waiting for the email confirmation link for 27 days now... Polo has not responded to my ticket since 26+ days:

Are they not accepting new users or something Huh

Due to several major exchanges closing their doors to new registrants, we are experiencing a surge in new sign-ups. In some cases, profile verifications may take up to several weeks. We thank you for your patience.
Damn! I don't remember seeing that when I signed up almost a month ago. I just rememeber not receiving the confirmation link and seding them a ticket...

A miracle did not happen, many entered this subscription because the term was not great, people still believe in miracles Smiley
After the first stage, it became clear to the realists that the fraud had come out, but there were also those who were still illusions
We are to blame, we give food to crooks, there is no team, data, a good project with a real plan does not need to participate ...

I got a 'C' in one of my classes that I could have easily gotten an 'A', had I not wasted my time in this sCam Project  Tongue
168  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Keepkey and Electrum - importing wallet on: January 16, 2018, 11:36:08 PM
Sorry, I am also not very technically minded. "create it as a hardware wallet within Electrum", how do I do that? Thanks!
As I already said: "File -> New\Restore -> Standard Wallet -> Use a hardware device"... connect the hardware wallet and follow the instructions in Electrum.

It will generate what is effectively a "watching-only" wallet... so you'll be able to see all the Transactions/Addresses/Balance etc even if the hardware wallet isn't attached... but you can spend (or sign messages) ONLY if the hardware wallet is attached Wink

I see! Thank you for the clarification good sir/madam!  Smiley

lol are you trolling? The wallets are open-source. Why don't you go look on Github and check it for yourself?

You are (1) indirectly stating that XSPEC is a scam. Let's get that out of the way - a scam ICO does not go as well as XSPEC has, and for as long. A scam ICO is something like Fujinto or Confido.

It's difficult to FUD something that is legit like XSPEC.

Sorry, but I am not trolling. I am trying to get help. I'll go to Github, but I'm pretty sure I won't understand a thing there as usual (I'm somewhat clueless when it comes to programming and developing)

Any helpful comments please?

I'm not on Mac, so I can't help there. But rest assured, XSPEC is no scam. As it's PoS you definitely also don't get any overheating from running the wallet, like you would get from wallets that also have PoW mining. The problems you mention have nothing to do with SpectreCoin. Something else seems to be the trouble.

Thanks your reply! I'm glad to hear that and really hope it's good. XSPEC seems to have really great potential. Maybe it's just a coincidence that I ended up with this strange "moszcpu quit unexpectedly" and was never able to open the Spectre.app (Spectre quit unexpectedly error).

I have no reason to FUD, since I myself am a humble XSPEC holder, although I am still unable to start staking because of these errors I'm getting. It's the only wallet I have that won't open for me, so I figured I should do more research about the coin and maybe I can get some support on this thread.

Although I have already sent the error log to Apple a few times, I am thinking of sending it to the Spectre team. Would that be safe? Should I remove some info, like the Anonymous UUID or anything else?

Thanks

You can try the XSPEC support channel on Slack. But frankly, i don't think you will get anywhere with that, since the problem is not XSPEC itself. There are a number of user on Mac which run the wallet, and have not experienced your problems. If you have access to another Mac or a virtual machine, you can convince yourself that it's not an XSPEC issue.

UPDATE: I was able to get into the Slack channel. and direct messaged jbg who invited me into the support chat. It seems that the "Spectre quit unexpectedly" error is for Mac versions (pre-MacOS Sierra systems). Something about a bug in Apples compiler that emits a code that works only in the latest version and not in oler versions. They are working on workaround that it will work on older macOS in the next Spectre Wallet release

I haven't received any feedback about moszcpu, so it's probably malware not related to Spectre on Mac, so it's still in the wild I guess...

EDIT: UPDATE: It turns it's adware and not malware and it's not related to XSPEC Wallet. It can be fixed by downloading etreCheck from https://www.etrecheck.com and then scanning and let it delete the file associated with moszcpu. Don't delete anything elses unless you know what you are doing or you may cause other things to stop working

You Apple users are literally computer illiterate.
Perhaps you should do something technically easier like trading stocks which don't require you to download wallets.
What baffles me is that you're a full member yet ask such basic questions about system protection.

I'm confused are you saying that Bitcoin and crypto in general, are meant to be used only by professional programmers and developers and that all the billions of market cap is by them only, or that it's meant for non-Apple users? Or are you referring to XSPEC coin only? Or are you a Nazi?

If any of the above, I'll take your word for it, sell all my crypto and go cry in a corner... Not  Tongue

Yeah I'm a nazi.

The guy is a troll. I know subtle trolling when I see it.

*He claims that XSPEC is a virus (it had to be open-source XSPEC wallet, not the hundreds of other software programs he could have downloaded, no!) when he can easily confirm it is not.

*He claims to not be a FUDDER because he has $25 (LOL!) of XSPEC in his wallet. He is even staking it (even more hilarious). What is that, like 10 cents per month?

*The guy is a full member, so he probably has a lot of money in coins too, and quite some experience with all of this.

Then he comes up with a debunked XSPEC = scam theory.

Oh well...

Pffffffffff The superficial brains on some people  Cheesy
Why do people jump to assume that I am troll or I have a lot of coins because I am a full member?

Again, to those Software Engineering, IT Doctorates and Nazis:  The internet does not belong to you and crypto doesn't either! I could be an arts teacher or a philosopher, an anarchist, or an anti-NWO. Or even an actual retard with very low IQ and slow learning curve. Whatever I am does it matter? I presented a legit issue and I am legitly trying to solve my "illiterate" Mac problem.

Also, I havent been able to mine my "$25 worth of XSPEC" yet because I am still unable to open the wallet on Mac and I wasn't planning to buy more than that amount until I make sure the wallet works and is supported.

Big Thank you to the good and patient people that provided useful info! Smiley
I found their slack on the project page. I will submit my email and try to get some support in their slack  Smiley

Why the fuck do you insist on calling people nazis?
The overuse of that word is what makes the world forget what nazis really stand for.
Seriously, you seem to be ignorant as fuck and equally as clueless.

Nazis... Fascists... same garbage. I don't insist on calling people Nazis. Only the ones that lightly admit being that, and people exerting such behavior . In this case you and ur buddy that u quoted. But that's off-topic. I'm not trying to teach anyone how to be a decent human being and not a jump-into-conclusions know-it-all.
This is not a social behavior thread. It's an XSPEC thread for people that are invested in it or want to learn about it. Making ridiculous assumptions and jumping into conclusions instead of trying to answer questions or help doesnt help anyone.

EDIT: It is the most profitable because it mines coins that use algortithm that were designed with CPU mining in mind

Hi Tomos!

Do you think it would be OK to create my own thread to promote your TomosMining Website, use my referral links and provide support to my referred users?

Thanks.

Regards,
KC aka @Calhroub

hi it's ok but there is forbidden to post reflinks in bitcointalk Smiley

I read in the forum that you cannot post spamming ref links. But I strongly believe the way I structured my thread is not spamming. I used each ref link only once and it was directly relevant to the topic. I mentioned that it was my first OP, so if I'm wrong hopefully they will correct me or guide me and I will learn more about posting ref links...

Here is my Thread that may help people get started mining with your best mining services: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2752724.0

Thanks for making this great service!

I guess It's ok to have the referrals in my signature, right?

I see what you're saying... But I don't think making everyone lose hope helps anything. Also, since about a year and a half has passed, the perp could be now less careful and might end up get caught. From the laws that I remember, it is never too late to catch a criminal. Theft is theft. Whether it's recent or old. Only because 1 year, 2, 5, or 20 have passed, the criminal doesn't get forgiven. You are right that it would have been better to start going after the thief the day the site shut down, but the scammer made sure that he shut it down gradually and kept buying more time. Nevertheless, it's never too late, and it won't hurt anyone if people with losses here attempt to gather more info and are given a chance to find the thief. But bullying the victims is terrible. Similar reason you stated as well as that the amount I lost was small relative to my portfolio, didn't save much info and hence the reason I haven't provided much info, but I would never bully any victim here and try to make them lose hope of catching a bad man or giving him what he deserves.

On the contrary, I believe that letting those who are continuing to seek justice or closure be, will learn more and end up being more careful in their future investments. And at the same time, scammers looking through these posts, will realize that they will never be really free knowing that there's always someone looking for them. May they choke on their coins and rot in hell.
