Altminer is currently down for ENT pool. Any good working pools?

Yobit doesn't allow to make new addresses. Anyone else with this problem?
Wallet status: Maintenance
Yobit doesn't allow to make new addresses. Anyone else with this problem?
Wallet in manteinance (with no update, so no logic). Probably this will last till Yolo rcover control over a goos quantity of coins good price. It would be really good for the coin be listed in another exchange, nova for example.

Salute

In the very near future will update the wallet.
Thanks for the info. Nice to see you again here.

163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [PTOY] Patientory Healthcare on the Blockchain on: August 16, 2017, 09:46:41 PM
This project either scam or dev very stupid. Blockchain is very bad to store data. Large data not possible to store on Blockchain. Also blockchain is opposite of private. All transactions is visible to everybody. This is what makes it a blockchain.

Do research before buying scam coin. We have many years projects figuring out decentralized data storage. siacoin, storjcoin, file coin figure out solutions to this problem. Factom project exist because blockchain is very bad at storing large data.

Trust me, I have masters in computer science. Or don't trust me and do research yourself.
Use case for blockchain is always to allow 2 ppl to trust each other with payment using smart contract. Not data storage.
Thank you very much, amir24, to register in this forum only to FUD about a coin. As we have not a master in computer science, oh, only a master, you should be PhD, we need your experienced advice to take a decision about the coin. Intermediately dumping all my Ptoy and any other token or coin not related with payment using smart contract.  We, the BCT community, love you so much Kiss

just bought 3 masternodes and need a guide to set them up ....any links??

there is manual in the slack group:
https://join.slack.com/t/eternitycoin/shared_invite/MjE1NzQ2NTEyMzUyLTE1MDA3Njc2MDYtMzhiOWUyMzBlOA

I opened the manual but there is nothing on slack? I really want to invest but the lack of activity on this thread is discouraging, I would really like to mine and set up a master node but all the pools for eternity are offline?
Guide to put a remote EN in a VPS server like Vultr or VPS.ag in Ubuntu 16.04 x64

I know that put this in root should be avoided, but don't have time to make users and so on for all the nodes I have.

After looging for the first time in the VPS follow this instructions. VPS is refered to the remote wallet. Controller wallet is the one with your ENT in your computer. If yo have installed masternodes of other coins, this is quite similar, but wording is always eternitynode.

Change default pass for security:
Quote
passwd root

Some simple firewall rules to improve security a bit:
Quote
ufw default deny
ufw logging on
ufw allow 22/tcp
ufw allow 4854/tcp
ufw allow 4855/tcp
ufw limit OpenSSH
ufw --force enable

Install the repo:
Quote

Wallet first start to create folders and files:
Quote
./eternityd

After the error message we create our eternity.conf file:
Quote
cd
cd .eternity/
nano eternity.conf

Write in it and save:
Quote
rpcuser=long random username
rpcpassword=longer random password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256
eternitynode=1
eternitynodeprivkey=XXXX
addnode=176.65.120.174
addnode=176.65.120.5
addnode=2.95.220.18
addnode=46.119.117.105
addnode=5.19.241.85

In the controller wallet, open console and:
Quote
eternitynode genkey
You get the EN private_key
Quote
getaccountaddress <node-alias>
Associated address to the EN.

Send the collateral (exactly 1000 ENT in one trasaction) to the address generated before.

Back in the VPS:
Quote
cd
cd .eternity/
nano eternity.conf

Put your private_key obtained with enternitynode genkey before in the place XXXX and save.

Then:
Quote
cd
cd eternity-0.12.0/bin
./eternityd

In the wallet:
Quote
eternitynode getoutputs
We get the collateral TX_ID and TX_INDEX(0 or 1) (85898ae7956757657ced9689687687a 1 for example)

We open eternitynode.conf in our controller wallet and put a new line as:
Quote
Node-alias VPS_IP:4855 Private_key TX_ID TX_INDEX
Save the file
Close and reopen controller wallet

In VPS, check the wallet is already synced:
Quote
./eternity-cli getinfo
And take a look at block number to be sure EN is synced.

Check node creation transaction has already at least 16 confirmations. In the console:

Quote
Eternitynode start-alias <node-alias>

Message : eternitynode <node-alias> succesfully started blablablablabla...

Back in the VPS:
Quote
./eternity-cli eternitynode status

   "status" : "Eternitynode successfully started"

And done. My nodes have the bad habit to fall down every 10-15 days, take a look sometimes to their status with:
Quote
eternitynode list-conf

Donation address (give me a bit of your returns, I'm a poor man Wink ) : EenLewAUJNYR2EWVd4qRCyq7vrzysLkpRb

Salute, and any correction will be appreciated.

Has the chain stopped or is it just my wallet? Chainz and my wallet say block 18421 from 5 hours ago.

New record, 44 hours from block 18620 without a block. But, anyway, 'It's not a bug, it's a feature'. A bright future is in front of us... Make your homework  Tongue

Hello, is the development of this coin still active ?
Last dev post from April, last dev visit 3 or 4 days ago. It's a mystery...
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENT] Eternity - X11 - No Premine on: August 02, 2017, 09:14:36 AM
My masternode has been running for over 48 hours but still no payment. ((((

With the current number of nodes you will need about 70 hours for the first payment if I have correctly done my calculations.
When I put my first node there where less than 200,first payment in less than 24 hours, now there are +800.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, as I've still only been working on the same thing; integration with poloniex and arranging the code. As we are planning to use TradingView's pine code + alerts system to set up strategies and automated trading for our MVP, it is good news to know that TV may be implement Bittrex markets soon as well.

I am still working on the Poloniex integration with the telegram bot, and will be pushing out the poloniex integration with telegram pretty soon. Just taking some time to make the orders smarter so we will be able to add sell-stop / buy-stop on 1Broker, and hopefully add stop orders on Polo as well.

Also started to have a sneak peek into Bitmex and Bitfinex apis, sending them some emails and stuff. APIs for these not so straight forward as Polo and 1Broker but we can work it out surely. Generally, for all the APIs, since we are issuing requests on behalf of users, RATE LIMIT will be an major issue but we are looking at various ways to address this.

Some good news... this week I caught up with an old friend from my hometown whom I worked with in the past, and also teaches programming in some courses and schools. He is a node.js expert, and much better at front-end than myself. I showed the project to him and he expressed a keen interest to work together. Basically spent the whole of yesterday together, splitting the design work and the backend work, and he is now working on improving the designs I started and migrating the dashboard code and stuff.

We're really excited to get this project off the ground asap, and development should pick up pace from here. Stay tuned!
Can you explain why you are allowing one or two pools having total control of coin generation? You know till this finish there is no option to be listed in trex, don't you?

berron, can you explain why you don't take the time to read previous posts regarding this? And no, I won't do your homework for you.
200$ per mining round aprox. Fantastic for investors. I have done my homework, but unfortunately I don't have an scrypt asic to mine this shit and participate in the free money.  Cry Lot of work in github also

no block source available when I open the wallet?

any node I can add with seednode="IP"

this whole thing is looking broken imo. no blockchain to download. 6 miners in total lol. last github was in 2016. I would only recommand using this to mine casually.
You can find nodes in the chainz eternity explorer.

I'm planning to setup a PoS station for ENT. How many ENT will I need to get good staking returns? I have a staking server that can run 24x7.

Appreciate any advise. Thanks!

Not PoS in this coin. If you want returns from your stake you should setup a Masternode

Check your worker is here:

If your worker address is shown, payments will start when the first mined blocks in which your miner send some shares will be mature.

2000  confirmationsn on cryptopia?!?!?!? Huh thats 10 days!!!! whats going on
Update1: from 21st till today 904/2000 confirmations!!!!

This is truly disaster you must do something about it, so we can see this project more serious
Algo or diff retargeting changes are a must. All the efforts of the dev team should be exclusive focused in this, with no work in the platform till that moment. Last time I was in BCN I should have try to contact them, they could have very good skills in programming, PR, market opportunities, but they seem not to know problems around coin mining. Fast, easy and expensive solution for the moment, make a pool and buy enough hash to make diff attacks to CREA net unprofitable. As long as they continue being very profitable, problems will continue and projects like LBC and FLO will maintain his edge over CREA. And as block reward continue increasing, things will become worse.
Salute

Thank you for your contribution. Do not worry, we have a very prepared development team with many years of experience in tool development for Bitcoin.
LBC and FLO are very different projects to CREA, we do not go the same way. We have not yet launched the main product that is the platform Creativechain. You can see the potential very soon. We are currently working on Core enhancements. (Also in the development of the platform, we are several people in the team dedicated to different developments)
We are developing the core implementation of a new sha-3 keccak algorithm. The tests in testnet are being a success. https://github.com/creativechain/creativechain-core/tree/keccak

Soon we will give more information

Thanx for the answer, keep it up
Same here.
And try to get some multipools (zpool, Minertopia, hash refinery, mining hub pool,...) to mine the algo, it's an easy way to stop diff attacks to the coin, if diff starts to fall, they locate hashrate for the coin very fast.

I'm on that Cheesy

No payouts in over an hour though :S

Payouts from that pool are really strange. A lot of time pases till first payment, and then, when you stop mining, you continue receiving payments for a long time.  Huh

Viacoin Block Reward Halving happened !
Reward per block: 0.3125 $VIA

So when will we hit 23million?
And what happens next? Hashrate down to almost zero?
I think I know the answer of the last one. VIA is merged mining with litecoin, so hashrate down to almost 0 seems to be difficult. Correct answer, romanornr?
