161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is in cahoots with the government to seize your bitcoin on: November 24, 2020, 04:34:27 PM
Paypal's entry to the crypto market is indeed a bad thing. Initially we all thought that it will be great in terms of mass adoption because we didn't know the plan. Now when Paypal has launched the crypto service and we have learned that we can't withdraw or transfer those bitcoin outside, it makes literally no sense and an absolute nonsense!

It is always better to stay out of such services especially when we have many alternatives freely available in the market!

No idea why they are continues buying newly mined Bitcoin if they don't want to allow it's user to own it in their platform.
if they do that, maybe instead of earning money from adopting crypto currency on their platform, they will lose more users that want to buy crypto in them.they would rather just buy bictoin or crypto on a well-known exchange than to buy on their platform which cannot be transferred to their own wallet.paypal does not know that many people want to have it as an investment and not just buy and sell .
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP price Hit $0.9, suddenly goes down in second on: November 24, 2020, 11:33:37 AM
0.9$ is possible for XRP, whatever happens should be consider a correction right now, wait till bitcoin finds it way up again and see what happens, I know many are buying XRP because of Spark airdrop but XRP already have what it takes to surge higher, this is the altcoin than higher institutions and banks have mind full mind on

Yes its just a correction many people who bought their xrp lower is already taking profit I don't think coinbase news is the main reason why it's dumped that hard . Base on the price right now it's slowly recovering I am not a fan of XRP but that 1$ is easily for them to achieve by this year or maybe we can see another ATH in XRP this year who knows?
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker network now gives '95% of payouts’ in Bitcoin on: November 24, 2020, 09:13:35 AM
This opens up a lot of oppprtunities not only for bitcoin but also for rehabilitation of chronic gamblers in their casinos. These gambkers who won big may find some venefits in investing on it instead of betting it again i side thw casinos, which will break the gambling cycle the person is unfortunately succumbing to.

I saw it the same, they choose Bitcoin to widraw their winnings because they see that Bitcoin is also good as investment.  So if they win alot they want to secure it in BTC so they can earn more profit if the price of Bitcoin continue increase unlike having it in Fiat currency where it's only fixed amount .
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal bought up to 70% of all the newly mined bitcoin recently on: November 23, 2020, 07:25:59 PM

Paypal seemingly made the prices soar after their announcement. If they are buying 70% of virgin BTCs, are they going to allow their users to withdraw BTC after all these?

I only read it from Reddit that they don't allow withdrawals so it's pointless all the collecting BTC if they are no going to send it to anyone who wants to withdraw the BTC out of their platform.

This one cannot be answered yet we need them to officially announced that update hopefully they will , because that's the only reason I see why they are continues  buying a lot of Bitcoin they are preparing to have many in their own and sell it to their platform once they fully accept crypto trading in PayPal platform.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For beginners which trading option is best and which platform and why? on: November 23, 2020, 05:58:48 PM

Binance had indeed had some issues over the past two years. It is not that it's only Binance that has suffered because of hacking; many other exchanges have also been hacked. Nonetheless, it is one of the best and biggest cryptocurrency exchange out there and number 1 choice of the most crypto traders. During this time, it has also made much progress and added many new major features for its clients.
That's centralized exchange that exchange is only use for trading crypto currency , there are many hacking incident in exchange before not only in binance. but binance has found a way to return the hacked money to its users and that is also the reason why many are more confident to use it because they know how to take action everytime something like this happens in their exchange.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about IEO in altcoin season? on: November 23, 2020, 03:41:11 PM
This just came to my mind today as ive never think about it before, since bullrun happened in 2017 and ICO became popular and successful in that year too aren't you guy curious how IEO projects would have performed if bullrun was ongoing?  IEO became popular after bull market of 2017 right? The reason why ICO was so profitable in 2017 was because of the altcoin season don't you think? What about IEO in altcoin season? We are yet to see this

Thats not because of altcoin season ICO become popular because of many early project give good return to it's investors like strat , waves  and eth as example. They are looking to get a good gain like that so many people invested in different ICO but to be honest it's not because it's altcoin season. If I remember correctly when the BTC market increase more of the project dump it's prices and many project is hard to recover after that lost and that time many scam ICO started.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Argentina raises Gambling tax on: November 23, 2020, 02:21:22 PM
It's good move for them instead of doing it illegal they make a move to collect more taxes that can help to improve their economy.
If they know casino gambling earn that much it is right to ask more taxes for them or else they need to close it , if the gambling sites know they earn a lot it is also not a problem for them to give more taxes to government it's a give and take for company and government.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Get RICH with Crypto Altcoins?? Bitcoin $100,000 per coin?! on: November 22, 2020, 05:58:59 PM
many experts predict Bitcoin will go up to $ 100k to even $ 300k,
you remember JohnMcafee? he also predicts Bitcoin will be a new all time high,
I forgot he mentioned what number, but the number is very much maybe $ 50k more,
if that happens it is clear that altcoins will also go up, could be up to 100x.

There might be an altcoin to increase upto 25 x but 100x is too much and we will hard to see that happen again in altcoin , it's only possible for newly launch coins that under developelment and have less value today just my opinion .only pump and dump coin can give profit like that they can easily increase it's price if it's an ordinary shit coins or tokens.if Bitcoin increase to 100k $ its only increase more than 5x from the current price today.
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobless for 10 years still doing great because Jobs market is a joke on: November 22, 2020, 04:11:56 PM

 Grin Grin Grin
YouTube, gamers, free lance, hackers

No need a #job and will never need one.

Employers, businessmen, government, banker, welfare, social leeches can btfo.

It’s the future, without a money system manipulated by a central banker FED, people can finally achieve freedom.

As long you are earning enough online I don't think you need to have regular job . Having regular job is a pain for everyone and many are already trapped in the thought that if  you have no job you don't have money. It's a trap that should be stop it hinders your development as a person . We are lucky that we are in the era that we have many other option to earn Rather than join a job that most people do not want to have.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi protocol Pickle Finance hacked for $20,000,000 on: November 22, 2020, 12:51:38 PM
And people still use defi after all these hacks. Too many hacks for too small time

Yeah , I don't think we should continue supporting that kind of investment if the project it self don't secure their investors and the money inside of it.this time we must learn because the amount of money lost in the defi project is already large due to the many hacks that have already taken place.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yearn.Global bounty scam? on: November 21, 2020, 05:50:33 PM
Yearn Global Bounty Telegram group

Bounty stopped. Looks like the YEARN GLOBAL team fled. It looks like a scam.
I am a hired bounty manager and also have not received any award from the project founder. I apologize to the participants.

Bounty manager profile on Bitcointalk:

Can I ask how do you get the contact for them to manage the bounties?

If it's true that they only have 150 members in telegram channel then that's might be the reason why they abandoned the project because they know they will not get any support from investors.

Maybe those 150 members is pure bounty hunters and not even single person invested . Next time before accepting a project review the team first so you will not be blame for the payment and also make it stated in the OP that you are not part of the team if you will make a bounty thread. So hunters will have idea .
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the heck is a private key...exactly? Someone help please. on: November 21, 2020, 04:04:08 PM
Ok.  I got the Nano S.  The public key is the wallet address given to the exchange where the BTC will come from.  The 8-digit code to open the Nano S is the pin.  The 24 phrases are used in case I lose my private key...yes?  Still not sure what my private key is exactly.  I also saw in some places where they said Ledger does not give you the private key.  So more confusion.

That phrase is enough to secure your holding other altcoin have such option as private key that you can stored like ethereum but in BTC that's enough , this is also what other wallet asked once you want to open your wallet in other Bitcoin wallet using pass phrase.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't repeat same mistakes on: November 21, 2020, 12:07:41 PM
Your so rude but yeah many of holders before are continue hodling their Bitcoin and forget to secured their profit before it decrease it's value thats why many people also lost that time. But I am sure this time different right now Bitcoin has much more secure movement compare to what happen in 2017 .

The only thing I think will happen is those who will buy altcoin and thinking that it will give them much higher gain but in the end they will lost thier BTC value and get less Bitcoin compare to how much they bought it .

175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's fees on: November 20, 2020, 07:59:13 PM
Fees already rose and dumped down and there will be ups and downs in it till Bitcoin remains a buzz in the market. I do not think that if the fees rise during this bull run, it will affect its price as there is so much positivity I can feel in my nerves about btc that the bulls are not going to leave btc before taking it into a 5 figure category.
The fee is not the main issue right now in Bitcoin as investment fees will only increase depending on traffic, so if you think the day you transfer BTC is asking high fees then wait for another day until it will became lower .

No idea why OP think it's a big problem we still far on the price  which will hurt everyone with the fee due to the high price of bitcoin.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria Projects That Blockchain Will Grow $10 Billion In Revenue By 2030 on: November 20, 2020, 04:27:44 PM
Here we go again, the country that once warned his citizens about crypto, calling it scam or HYIP investments, the only person that can make this happen was a president candidate and he wasn't given the chance, they thought he was bluffing that blockchain can help the Nigeria economy, yet they went ahead and voted for the present president lol

I have an idea why they told crypto currency is scam before because There were ponzi schemes that use crypto that spread to nigeria back then , I will not be surprised why many people in that country say that crypto is a scam because many have been deceived in their country using fake crypto currency .so far many already learned and properly studied what crypto is and how to avoid becoming a victim of a scam.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player protection - stop loss limit on: November 20, 2020, 12:51:33 PM
Hi guys, as you know some casino/bookmakers offer "player protection" giving ability to set up a stop loss limits.
What happens if a player lose more of this limit and continue to gamble despite any "protection"?

No idea about that we have that kind of setup in gambling .

Can you give link for this so I can read all details.

As my understanding you are the one who will set limit of how much money you can lost in a day this will help to prevent a player from losing even more for continue playing the game.

For the second question I can't answer it since I don't have idea how to set that limit.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What was the biggest airdrop you have received so far? on: November 20, 2020, 10:57:45 AM

Did you actually mean my 1000 ONT trade caused them a dip?

No, I only mean many of you that recieve the free tokens from airdrop sold their tokens . So it have big affect in the market if many participants sold their tokens . Thats the reason why this locking period came up to control the decline in the price of various crypto currency.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What was the biggest airdrop you have received so far? on: November 19, 2020, 06:07:54 PM
Hey guys,

As it seems altcoins are on track (a little) again and we can't forget the richness (even if it was small) those airdrops have provided, let's discuss the biggest airdrop you've received (not the biggest on-paper till now). Also, list the token price on airdrop and today's date - it will help us evaluate whether airdropping token was a good idea from projects' health perspective.

Mine:
Ontology (ONT): 1000 ONT [Early supporter airdrop]
Price when I sold: $3.5
Current price: $0.5

That's the reason why it's decrease that low from 3.5$ price you sold it.

2017 is the great of airdrop I almost forget the name of the airdrop I join before but more of them give me a really good rewards . I also see some of my friends get a good rewards from one airdrop happen this month if I i remember it right it's Marco and he recieve around 3000$ also in just one airdrop . The only issue is that airdrop ask for kyc for claimers of that airdrop.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: November 19, 2020, 05:19:20 PM
There have been various account where Criminals use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin for various purposes: laundering dirty money, scamming victims out of funds, defrauding investors, monetizing ransomware, or buying illicit goods. Which means it's is possible but there is also high possibility of the criminals been trace and caught.

Yes , you can use crypto currency but it doesn't mean you are immunr in tracing by the government or bank if they think the bitcoin here is used for money laundering they will do their part to trace it .

One of the example of caught launderers

https://www.coindesk.com/new-zealand-man-charged-with-money-laundering-via-crypto-and-luxury-cars

Once you hide to bitcoin or other crypto currency it doesn't mean you will never be trace .
