161  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: January 03, 2020, 06:51:07 AM
"Nearly 2.7 trillion won ($2.3 billion) have been lost to crimes involving cryptocurrency in the last two years, according to South Korean government data."

where do you see the improvements being made against crypto criminal activity. this can really hurt the price for traders/investors if conditions don't improve.
There have been many attempts from exchanges to prevent hacking, but most have failed.  Because blockchain technology is mostly open source, it is quite easy for hackers to get information.  Therefore, the system security must be more and more advanced.
Hacks are in high number, and this is not because of the open source feature of the blockchain technology. Bugs will be there with each and every application. Hackers will be observing the exchange so closely, and even a small bug could lead to big loss of funds. This is why updation were done regularly by the development teams, along with more competition to find errors and plans to make exchanges and blockchain usage in a much secure manner.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of your money only needed for gambling and others is for family on: January 03, 2020, 06:01:24 AM
Right now to overcome all my financial problems I need around five bitcoin in the present market price. To make myself relieved is the first thing I'll do, once my financial problems were solved I'll take care of my family. Beyond this I need one bitcoin to gamble which I'll use it to make something out of it.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: Say Goodbye to Banking as We Know It on: January 03, 2020, 05:00:59 AM
More countries are into blockchain adoption. This is a forward move, but countries are specific in their stand of supporting blockchain technology and standing against cryptocurrency usage particularly bitcoin. China once a big supporter of Bitcoin is now supporting blockchain and in the plan of having their own cryptocurrency. Maybe this can take place with more countries, but there needs to be some common asset that unifies everything. This role probably taken by bitcoin.
164  Economy / Goods / Re: Art sold for less than 1c on LN on: January 03, 2020, 04:19:40 AM
I saw the Black Swan art piece was sold yesterday by Cryptograffiti on LN for $0.000000037.
Firstly super cool piece made from a 1 dollar bill.
Secondly this is one of the best real world examples of micro payments in Bitcoin I've seen.
Highly recommended to check it out blog post about the black swan art piece
Enriching micro Payments through the lightening network will make bitcoin transactions used much more than the present. These days the transaction confirmation serves to be a big factor in the day to day life spending of bitcoin. More the real world more will be the growth of cryptocurrency.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on the blockchain - What do you think? on: January 03, 2020, 03:22:30 AM
I think not all are successfully in this criteria. I heard Gamexcoin which is very interesting but I just dont know if they succesfully integrate their platform to different online games already. Only EOS dApp have a lot of gaming which include blockchain.

I am hoping to find a platform that we can use our major coins such as btc, eth or etc to fund gaming currency. If you happened to know one, dont hesitate to pm or inform. Thank you.
If I'm not wrong there are more gaming applications completely integrated to the blockchain. Most being on the ethereum platform and eos platform. There were very limited number of applications available with the Steemit platform. The success is dependent on the way its been carried forward, as of now very few games on the ethereum platform is popular.
166  Economy / Speculation / Re: The history of Bitcoin prices. on: January 03, 2020, 02:58:08 AM
Once after bitcoin reaching a new all time high value டீ adoption level of bitcoin as well other cryptocurrencies have increased in large scale. Though there are people who term it to be a bubble, the growth in number of cryptocurrency users keeps increasing with time. During the previous halving itself there is big expectation for the year 2020. This need to come true as we're reaching the targeted level of adoption for this year.
167  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: January 03, 2020, 02:22:10 AM
The holidays for tee new year has got over, and slowly things were getting in order. By now we should experience some forward push in the price. Now what we experience is fall in the market price of bitcoin low to $7000. This makes the moment to be the right time to hold for a bigger price. All the savings will go wasted if it isn't used at the right moment.
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 5K$ soon on: January 03, 2020, 01:17:38 AM
For last 6- 7 months btc price was around of 7.5k$ , now this support level is no longer, that mean btc is ready to dump hard.
There is small marginal drop in the price. This might continue for a short, or it can be just a fluctuation. Just on falling low to $7000 we doesn't need to loose hope that it has begun to dump hard. Even if there happens something likewise it'll easily pump back. From what I see it looks like the market is getting ready for pump to $9000 - $10000.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is less decentralized than BTC and ETH, but that’s not necessarily bad on: January 03, 2020, 12:21:37 AM
I don't think such thing as decentralisation plays the main role in price forming here in crypto. There are many other factors which affect coin price more straightly. And Ripple shows this pretty well. XRP is centralised, so what? Look at the graph - you definitely can earn some cash here Smiley
XRP is formed as a centralized platform to serve the banking industry and for other transactions support. The team holds a big volume as reserve, and this will be released to the circulation at specific time interval. This way even on a centralized functioning it is quite good to have a better market growth. At times the team manipulate the price for profiting, which shows the centralized system a flaw in cryptocurrency and this is wrong thinking.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: December 27, 2019, 11:30:44 PM
Scammers are wise and they know how to use the weak points of crypto investors. The investors should be able to protect their assets from hackers and attackers in all possible ways. The many people have no idea why they are in the crypto industry and scammers hunt the inexperienced investors.
In most cases they get to know people living next to them or through some sources that they turned rich out of cryptocurrency investment. This won't happen everytime, further without understanding the reality, risk they just enter the market. In particular they won't ask for suggestion which is the worst thing. This makes them look for projects that make them rich at the shortest, ends with a big loss of funds.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin price be $20000 next year? on: December 27, 2019, 10:56:06 PM
A lot of people hope bitcoin will increase in 2020, and of course this will depend on the whales and those who control this market, if whales have accumulated enough BTC in the past, I believe they will pump Bitcoin in 2020, and if they are still not satisfied with the bitcoins they have, I think the price will continue to go down and lower than it is now.
The year 2020  market growth isn't about the whales holding as much possible and pumping the market. This time the growth expectations and the price is much speculated associating with the upcoming halving. Few months left for the event to happen, but now on there needs to take place growth. Possibly from the starting month of the year we'll experience decline or growth which end up with a trend change by the days close to halving or after halving.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: December 27, 2019, 10:16:57 PM
If you don't have self confidence better don't trade. True, confidence usually comes with experience and knowledge but still at the very begininig you have to beleive in what you are doing. Otherwise you will make your decisions very hard, often hesitating and without firm direction and that usualy doesn't end well.
However, too much confidence can also be bad for trading because you will not be cautious enough and you might igmore warning signs.
Not only with cryptocurrency trading, with anything there shouldn't be excessive confidence. When we are into it, this will make us take it easy expecting assured returns. Most of the time such scenarios can be seen much on games. With trading lot of learning is required so to make the plans get executed without much complications.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of banking industry in blockchain on: December 27, 2019, 09:24:23 PM
Banks can invest in blockchain. But they need more time. The current order was established in almost 150 years. I don't think they will be very enthusiastic about a new economic model or a transfer model. Maybe they'il have to change.
Revolutionary change is not possible when things are still relatively stable, that is why we do not see people very enthusiastic about adopting bitcoin because they do not really see the need for it when according to them the fiat system is still working great, but at the same time we know that the current system is flawed and that it cannot last forever, and we also know that bitcoin is going to be around here for a long time since governments do not have the power to destroy it, and finally when the system begins to show that it is about the fall that is when everyone including banks will try to find a way to include bitcoin in the new economic system.
Revolutionary changes will take immediate effect with certain things, when it comes to financial development or financial accessibility people are much used to the fiat system as well as the banking system. With blockchain technology integrated into the banking this will be made more efficient than the present banking process followed. Already more banks have begun the process understanding the need of blockchain technology while few are under testing after development.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still a people's currency? on: December 27, 2019, 08:53:46 PM
Maybe in terms of affordability it might be little tough to buy as a whole Bitcoin, but the access to buy as much possible makes it much easy to be used. Also this isn't developed targeting specific people, it is developed for the entire people as well as to fulfill the flaws that the banks does.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: December 27, 2019, 03:27:16 PM
No. There is only 1 reason why we gamble and that's we are trying to earn more than we deposited on a gambling site. But most of us are lossing our money on gambling and trying to make us feel not to dissapointed by saying that's only playing for fun
Not quite a failure, I know some gamblers, and they make money from it as a main source of their income. Personally, I don't like to gamble, because I lose many times, but for others who can really win by gambling, or they find a way to win more than lose, it can be a good way to earn money. Agree with you on the point: loser players often say that gambling is just for fun  Cheesy
People earning out of gambling for their living will be one out of hundred. These persons will be extremely lucky or they'll be highly practiced and learned more about gambling. The main objective of any user to gamble is for the money it can provide if won. People who consider it a fun are the one with good sum of funds which if lost too won't affect their living.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Taxing Bitcoin? Here's the Answer on: December 27, 2019, 02:01:40 PM
The tussle between bitcoin and government will come to an end if both can find a way of how to tax bitcoin. Right now there is no way to tax anonymous transactions of bitcoins. It's possible to tax Crypto trade through exchanges but these exchanges are available in only few countries. That's why many small countries who cant monitor or control bitcoin in their areas have banned it altogether.
To find a way to tax bitcoin is really hard. Already several countries have tried to find a way to tax on the transactions based on the summary got from the exchanges. Though every exchange request for KYC, it is truly hard to tax. Few countries have already added bitcoin to the gold and other commodities list.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 27, 2019, 11:55:51 AM
How in the world is NZ rated 2nd in the test rankings? Australians are decimating them at the moment and I feel Australia deserves a far higher ranking in comparison. So many Australian batsmen rose to the occasion in the ongoing match.

Warner-> Marnus-> Paine-> Smith-> Head! New Zealand players need to play more consistently. Williamson has been out of form since the World Cup. I feel like New Zealand are simply trying to avoid a whitewash at the moment.

Forgot the series win by New Zealand against England? They won the Mount Maunganui test by a massive margin (an innings and 65 runs). Australia deserves higher ranking, and they may eventually get there by mid-2020. But that doesn't mean that NZ is currently over-rated. They have been performing quite consistently with limited resources available.
No team is over rated, Australia scoring 467 in the first innings makes them strong. Losing two wickets for 44 runs and winning the first test match makes Australia to be better than New Zealand. In recent days I find West Indies to be the team that is progressing with the available players. The quality of play was visible during the previous season against India.
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and Christmas. on: December 27, 2019, 10:24:53 AM
There is nothing as price dumping for every Christmas. Last year there wasn't big growth, and same is with the present year. During the year 2017 it gave good growth. As most users mentioned bitcoiners were found in large number in Western Countries than the rest of the world. This makes more selling of bitcoin during the Christmas season. And this increased sell off is misunderstood as reason for price drop. To be true this isn't the reason for any form of price dump by the days close to Christmas.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game is most fair in Online Casino. on: December 27, 2019, 04:57:48 AM
Most of my spendings were on dice. From my experience playing dice I find it to be fair. At times when I loss continuously my mind never accepts that the rolls were fair, but later myself user to get consoled. Whether it is truly fair or not, if we're lucky we'll get a winning even with the unfair games.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please Help! on: December 26, 2019, 11:37:06 PM
Hello everyone, I really need help of experts here.

Please answer it only if you are 100% sure.

I today sent Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin Address by mistake. I have sent it through Coinbase and the person receiving too has Coinbase account. It shows transaction is completed and amount is sent. So now please help me as what can I do? Is there any way to restore or Claim it?
Is the amount that you've send is big or small. If it is just few dollars take it as a learning to double check before making a transaction. Right now the only way possible is to get the support from the team. Though the exchange is centralized, you confirm to make the transaction through 2FA which will be shown as a proof. Also once you open a ticket the receiving end will also be enquired, if he did not admit it as a money from unknown person the chances of receiving it back is low.
