I think when it is "voluntary" it should not be a big problem. I mean after all cpu mining is dead and gpu mining can't be done via web browser as far as I know but even if it was that is dead for one computer as well.
Freebitcoin couldn't basically offer anything worthwhile if they just let you mine on their website using your cpu or gpu because the outcome is quite small and you would be tiring your computer and basically making it have a quicker life span because of mining so hard 24/7 and the outcome wouldn't be even close to what you would lose from getting a new PC since your old one will die a lot quicker.
Hence, they are not offering it because the reward is not big enough to take the risk, not because of security reasons but because nobody would want to make 2000 satoshi a day for 24/7 open computer.
That's not the case at all. The quote of me from STT is correct. Antivirus companies classify all mining as malicious whether it is consensual or not. They also sell their products to corporate clients who don't want their employees mining with company electricity. Browser mining is still worthwhile if you run it in the background on a computer you would be using anyway as the extra power used by the CPU alone is minimal. We would like to still offer it but that would result in the site getting blacklisted so we can't. |

No, it is still one roll but the animation now stops the digits individually. It is a provably fair system so the result is determined by the seeds the moment you click roll. Nothing can change the chances of winning especially not an animation. |

but every time page is reload I see initial number of tickets. When I buy new tickets that number is updated to the correct number, but then go back after page reload.
this might be a bug in their platform, something like this: - update the total number from database by summing all purchases after X minutes so it is not live - update the total number after user purchases so you see the update in "your browser" which would explain why when you reload the page it goes back to the initial not-updated value. and it should be updated after that X minutes passed. (maybe every hour?) Lottery tickets should update almost live. I can't reproduce the problem so it might be caching locally on your browser. |

Stumbled across my old screenshot of mining on the freebitco website, I dont think its there anymore because mining moved on from being easy to do and I guess the website was using the cpu only so way behind the game by that point.
It isn't there anymore because the anti-virus companies categorise mining as malicious.
Now everyone does campaigns in order to get referrals and earn from them. It is a pyramid scheme that I don't like it and I feel like people who asks for referrals are in the same category as scammers.

I also love the ideas behind Doge and always use the freedoge site, though the reward is far too low and the captcha is set too hard and so takes me up to a minute to complete. Any thoughts to allowing us to skip the captcha if we keep a high enough balance there, as with the freebtc site? Or is that something that will have to wait until you combine the sites into one?
No. The problem with the Doge site is it is heavily abused with multi-accounting and doesn't make enough money to fund the time required to deal with that. Removing captcha would just increase the abuse. |

I dont think its a "I want to save time" problem. Some users mentioned that they think their winning rate is reduced since the animations are in place. Speaking for myself I cant commit that, my luck is as bad as always when I roll  The animation's only purpose is to display the result and has no influence on it. It is a provably fair system so only the seeds and nonce determine the result and they are all set at the moment you click roll. We're not going to change things to perpetuate a misconception. The only effect of disabling the amination is to make it slightly quicker. |

We have been operating Freedoge.co.in at a loss for the past few years and have been running it as a sort of charity because we like the principles behind Dogecoin. The website has seen increasing amounts of fraud which negates any profit that could have been made from legitimate users. As a result of this, we had to choose between shutting the website down entirely or reducing the minimum reward and we chose the latter so that legitimate users can still get some free dogecoins while at the same time, it becomes unprofitable for abusers to steal from the faucet on a large scale. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. actually i love your freedoge site. but the faucet reward really too low. Is it possible to make a lottery like freebitco or anything new add on ? @TheQuin, anyway is there some modification on the rolling? It seems that it slowly showing the numbers one by one start from the last digit. If I remember it well, the numbers usually pop out directly. Anyone has the same problem with me?
Congratulations on being the first person to notice. It is just a visual change to the animation because we think it looks better that way. It does add 100ms to the roll time so we also added an option to disable the animation on auto roll. |

Bitcoin is permissionless. They may be able to shut down the exchange of Bitcoin for fiat in some countries but they can never stop it being used as a currency itself. |

wetsuit has lots of plans but I couldn't really describe it as a roadmap  The newest thing we have is the betting but the way it is set up at the moment there is a lot of manual work involved. The next plan is to expand and automate that by integrating a fixed-odds sports betting feed. He's also planning on adding more casino games, altcoin deposits, Lightning Network......... just don't ask me when any of this will be ready. |
