1601  Economy / Economics / Re: Planning avoids unnecessary expenses on: April 07, 2023, 07:23:13 PM
It's not bad to live a extravagant life if you can afford it, if you don't, then that's bad obviously. Sometimes we're having second thoughts when it comes to spending on things that we wanted, because of the "we only live once" and the part of us that says we should save money instead. It's not bad to buy thing you want from time to time, because you deserve it after all the hard works you've done, but of course limit yourself on things that's too expensive for your budget.

I wouldn't call it extravagant if you can afford it, it's just normal, just life of you and for you. It's okay to spoil yourself once in a while when your income and funds allows you. I have to put them both in context as,
Income implies a steady in flow of money and not what you have to satisfy some need or what and then you find yourself wondering where your next income would come from, that would be the uncool part which means, your bitting more than you can chew.

Your funds having to allow means, after making your budget, you've got some surplus. It mustn't have to be some surplus all the time but, sufficient enough not to course pain in the enjoyment of want.
It's still good to live by some plan, it ensures your not surprised by even an unexpected event.
1602  Economy / Economics / Re: The beginning of the end for centralized AI? on: April 07, 2023, 06:50:25 PM
I don't think there's anything laws can do to stop the development of artificial intelligence. One reason is that people are paid to work on the development of artificial intelligence. In fact, developing artificial intelligence is their job description. And all these appeals and bans look ridiculous (like the riots against the development of factory production once looked like).
It not exactly pointless when it's got to do with issues of privacy encroachment and having to lift data from users without any due process. Taking an action as a means to mitigate this is definitely a step in the right direction. Though there might be means to access and use the services, it's not going yo come without some complications.
I recall when Twitter was banned in my nation for issues related to spreading fake news by local users although, after much deliberation, it was revived. It might not be the end for ChatGPT in Italy but, its some means to get some compliance and a more user protective approach to it's service dispensation.
1603  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: April 07, 2023, 06:40:16 PM
I see this that lets go to war means let us ulter the existence of certain economic progression. Apart from death of people both soldiers and the civilian, it take back the system backward from the party in the war but the effect is more on the people not in the fighting, the world at large
War is something I don't think any individual or nation would want to be in. That's why every possible means to avoid it if possible is been sort for but, the need to exercise some form of sovereignty or be in charge of your own territory and avoid influence often makes it in editable in conflict situations and resolutions.
In war, people get to lose there homes and means of livelihood, infrastructures and civilization that took years yo build or developed is reduced to dust in minutes or hours. It's such a hard thing to take. The good thing about it is that, through all these, humanity have been seen to find a way to better ourselves.

After the field is laid plane, an opportunity for new ideas is born and it teaches men to avoid situations that could lead to war at every reasonable cost. I say reasonable because, when your sovereignty is been challenged, it's hard not to result to war.
1604  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I am searching for someone from Nigeria ! on: April 06, 2023, 11:53:19 PM
I actually know it does sound shady , but i don't know how to present it it otherwise .
Yeah, e dey shady enough to make people ask questions, questions like;
You no dey Nigeria like this?
Watin dey stop you from going to the bank and open an account yourself, why you prefer another person details to your own?
Why you goblke share when you fit open for yourself and collect all the money yourself?
Watin be the gbege way fit come out for this matter way you wan hide your head from?

The matter be say, if e sure for you, you git just go run am yourself and get the benefits of being a sole person for your own doings. Make you no con take risk with person you no even sabi kwa and then, the person go end up reaping you.  The risk just dey everywhere.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 06, 2023, 11:44:21 PM
Currently Shaw has been sidelined due to injury in the previous match but there is good news for Manchester United where it is said that currently Eriksen and Casemiro have started to train although it is still unclear whether they will play or not against Everton.
But even though it's like that I'm still pretty sure about Manchester United because they also need points to continue to stick to Newcastle in this case so still 3 points is a target that must be owned in this match.
Sure this guys aren't being pushed to fill up the gap in its midfield following the decline in there performance? The absence of both players have been noted and they've got important games up ahead like in the Europa against Sevilla. Though Manchester United is the favourites to win the game and 5he fact that, they would be playing from a home side with all the support of the fans, Sevila is still a good Spanish side and so, they would need the team to be optimum. They've managed it to make it into the top 4  after beating Brentford but, that wasn't easy for them and Brentford almost secures a draw.

Do we think Chelsea had a good result with Liverpool? Because, I still see Chelsea to have failed in not winning that game, sharing points don't help them so much in there current states.
1606  Economy / Economics / Re: If the dollar was worthless! on: April 06, 2023, 11:13:17 PM
What happens to the value of bitcoin if the dollar goes to 0? Will bitcoin also loose value because the dollar is worthless? yes, there would probably be other things to mind like world war, full panic, no internett and so on. But set these things aside. How much would a sack of potatoes cost, and with what could I buy these potatous witth(gold/bitcoin/chickens/etc.)?

Any ideas? and any ideas on how bitcoin could be independant of the dollar, or other fiat?
I don't know what apocalyptic end your predicting but, do you really wish for this or do you see it by any chance happening?
Technology have come to be and not even a world war III is going to knock it out of existence. Instead, we might experience quite the opposite as in war times, its about who can come up with the best inventions to tackle the times and we wold have the rich try to make the most of the opportunity by providing a from space network.

Dollar is just some exchange rate, a scale fir measurement as a standard and nothing more. Should dollar fade away which is almost not possible, there would be another to replace it. So long as we've got Internet and could access it, it doesn't matter of the dollar fails.
1607  Economy / Economics / Re: Money as a store of value... on: April 06, 2023, 10:55:21 PM

Money is such a broad name that encompasses anything that could be accepted for a means of payment on goods and services. Now, not all money are still useful in present times, like the cowries, the manilla and the rest of them from a time past in Africa. These are still regarded as money but, most have no value except being displayed in museums.
Now, money cannot be regarded as an asset, not all money I mean as, most are subject to inflation and many other influences mainly from the government as they are the issuers. Assets aren't something you use in an everyday expenditure and that's very much what is the business with fiat.

Bitcoin ad Gokd perhaps could fit in but, not so much with fiat currencies and still, bitcoin haven't gotten a general acceptance by the masses.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 05, 2023, 08:53:40 PM
I saw on the news Ten Hag said they would have a hard game without Christian Eriksen and Casemiro and this will damage the team but in fact, they should be ready to play without these players and they need to have the potential to play without some key players like Casemiro and Eriksen, however, I guess Eriksen will be ready for the next game in Manchester United against Everton.
Watch Manchester United games and the importance of Casemiro would be very glaring in your eyes if you know the player. The team becomes a lot loose with no one to control the mid field and watches back to ensure there isn't a loosed ball at the defence line, he's good at breaking the pressure just before it's about to fully surface and not having him on the pitch always finds a way yo tell badly on Manchester United.
Manchester United have managed it to beat leads but, it was game up to the final whistle as Brentford kept Manchester United on there goes and weary all game. With this win, Manchester United is back in the top 4 as they would like to be.
1609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Set your mind on your goals and nothing else on: April 05, 2023, 08:42:44 PM
Because you got a house and a nice ride. People tend to believe one if there is a result that they are seeing. Some of them hesitant cause they are still at doubt during the time they are being informed of it but now that they see you with achievements that you have made. The reality speaks when they asked you again for help. Also help them, its not that they throw you out before but even so still help them with all you can do especially they are still your family. Resentment isnt something good ones feeling.
The reactions you get from people or certain circumstances shouldn't change you negatively. If you a generally a good person, then be good. If it was your desire to aid them in the past, you should by all means do what you must but, perhaps with a price (by price, i don't mean it must be money) and a little much stressful this time. At least, you've got to make them understand that opportunities aren't left hanging around for them to ride on at anytime. It's slippery and slips away at any point but, I don't really blame them for doubting. Besides, your meant to do your own research before going both feet deep in and looking out for some proof could be that for them.
Family success is actually for all and so, it pays even you @OP to carry them along in your engagement and exercise caution where need be.
1610  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday Satoshi! The Creator of Financial Freedom! on: April 05, 2023, 06:12:48 PM
Happy Birthday, Satoshi Nakamoto!

On This day, A legend was born in 1975. He gave us Financial Freedom. He created Bitcoin and this forum too. This event surely deserves a thread. I just wanted to say Happy Birthday, Satoshi, on your 48th Birthday. We are too busy these days, and sometimes we forget such things. Maybe you are watching us. Maybe not. Where ever you are, Stay safe and healthy! Happy Birthday Again!
In many ways I see reasons why this thread shouldn't exist on any board as there isn't any factual evident to the noted events in this thread.

We have question of gender?
If Satoshi Nakamoto is a single individual or a name of some organisation that existed and are now anonymous?
How do you assign a birthday and even age to someone or some group that you don't even know?

Good enough you know the date is alleged and so are the games of everyone who dares to include it on the forum and many other online registration out there. You never can tell until there is a document to prove. For someone that cares about privacy and anonymity, this is just another act to elude identification and as you can tell, Satoshi Nakamoto is best at it.

We should ne careful not to conceive a wrong idea to make it true.
1611  Other / Meta / Re: How to get away with posting off-topic replies. on: April 05, 2023, 05:02:43 PM
So, I've found a system that works 100% of the time if you want to post off-topic replies and not having them deleted (I exclude here the WO thread, where they are allowed).

The system is as follows:

1. Be a somewhat established member.
2. Post them on Reputation section threads.
3. Enjoy.
100% all the time you say! How true might that be? I think not and probably not something I want to experiment.
The reputation board is one controversial place and have active users dedicated to cleaning the forum. There isn't any way in which, a thought or cleat off-topic reply would be identified, reported and not acted upon by moderators. There is still no room for off-topic replies except when not found.

Being an established user might only cover you so much but, the water ball always breaks and you could get off topic replies or even have a thread deleted and there you have them missing posts.
1612  Other / Meta / Re: What is the advantage of Wearing signature avatar on your BTT profile? on: April 05, 2023, 04:54:01 PM
Signatures are branding belong to either an individual or some company. The forum has been designed in such a way that, users depending in there ranks have this space opened up in there profile for some showcasing or advertising. Signature space virtually becomes available once your member and from Full member, you can have your avatar space opened for you.

Avatars are simply a branding logo and it applies just as the signature except for the fact that, Avatars are images and have got no link embedded but signatures comes with links in some configured codes. The signature space one has varies based on ranks as there are acceptable number of characters within a space.

Benefits one can derive from signatures and Avatar spaces is nothing more than exposure. Now, its either you are advertising your brand or that of someone else or company and based on what is agreed, you might get paid or get incentives from referrers.

At the moment @OP, you don't have that leverage and you should be more focused on improving your crypto knowledge.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 04, 2023, 08:23:39 PM

What a perfect opportunity for Chelsea to score their first goal but it was missed by Covacic. Chelsea couldn't break the deadlock, Damn it. It has been a difficult match for to teams to score in the first half.

Chelsea almost broke dead lock by scoring their first goal in the match with  a hand ball which VAR ruled out. Chelsea are pressuring to score Liverpool but it isn't working out, maybe they haven't gotten the right strategy yet. The second half looks more tensed than the first half, since both clubs are struggling to score first.
If Chelsea wants to win or be one of the feared team in the EPL, they've got to be taking there goal scoring chances. They get to create all these opportunities and then lack the ability to convert. A lot of those presented itself in the first half with almost all the Chelsea attack and we had Kovacic on the attempts too. His was apparently the best and did hit the ball goalwards but, was defended.
One good place Chelsea have been at its best is in the defence, they've always found a way not to give the Liverpool players any shooting opportunity and they themselves have had a lot to seal this game in a win. It still looks possible though and Joao Felix or K. Havertz would be at the end of it.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 04, 2023, 07:28:25 PM
AC Milan vs. Napoli is another fascinating matchup. At their base, Napoli, which has been very consistent in the Serie A and Champions League, lost by a wide margin of 0-4 to AC Milan. Napoli holds a commanding lead in the Serie A standings, the defeat before their first-leg match will have some psychological effects on both teams. AC Milan at San Siro will be more certain and less constrained. Napoli needs to refuel its lineup and does not feel invincible. Before the first leg with AC Milan, they can regain their confidence in the match with Lecce.
Am trying so hard to recall if I did watch the first leg between those two. How could Napoli have lost by that margin! Napoli with this standing,,,, that's absurd. Anyway, the second leg will surely be some match to watch because, Napoli won't be disposed to loosing twice, naas that cabr happen but, ee would see an AC Milan that would be looking at not losing at least, confident in the fact that, they did best th either such margin in their first encounter and that creates in them the idea of they can hold them and maybe not let them advance their lead and dominance in the league. Still I would expect Napoli to win.
1615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie: If trading isn't working for you, buy and hold. on: April 04, 2023, 07:01:34 PM

Note: The end point is to making profit, so why not focus on the area  that could easily work out for you irrespective of the time it takes instead of following the crowd to a numerous lose end.

For some people the end is not just making profit but making large profits and holding alone doesn’t seems to quench there thirst for it. From your example someone that has actually bought $1K worth of bitcoin at 17k in January will have gain more than $600 profit now at current price of $28k, which is not a bad profit. But some traders actually gain, some gain at least 10% of that amount every week and that has worked for them.
It's a very hard thing to do, to have a honey pot in sight and somehow, you choose not go deep your finger for a little taste of honey. It's the drive for most all along and it blinds you from the underlying risk. Be rest assured, the bigger the risk, the more the profit and vice versa. Trading is the honey pot in cryptocurrency as in few minutes, you can double your portfolio or even triple it if you know what your doing but, with that amplifying power to your trades comes the loses as well when you make a wrong trade. Bad enough, it's often about those taking wrong trades and making loses.

Hodling definitely is a matter of patience and have a plan about where you could say its okay to take profit or continue to add to your portfolio.
1616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trade like Robot (Robot doesn't have emotions) on: April 04, 2023, 06:35:54 PM
Is it correct statement that we should trade like robot ?
I think the better question we should be asking ourselves here is;
Robots vs Humans, whom makes a better trader?

By all means I'll pick human. That's why I won't want yo trade like a bot no matter what. Bots have got there accuracy no doubt, they could keep up with the times and launch in immediately a signal is hit but, its got flaws of jumps and stop lose isn't hit then you find yourself relying on a bot that has malfunctioned and your funds liquidated.

With humans, its a whole different story. The only thing that could go wrong is not being sure or you not watching your screen when the moves play out. Better still, you could have a notification in place to remind you. Your emotions are not always against you, some times they could be a tool to keep you out of a bad market condition.
1617  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bye Bye to Wuruwuru Loan Apps on: April 04, 2023, 06:28:34 PM

My brother, the thing been don too much o, no be small harassment way these loan apps dey give person and Nigerians kwa no been get joy. Them go just borrow as them like with the intention say, them no go pay. Only wayin dey there mind be say, na contacts them go paste with calls, WhatsApp messages here and there then e don finish. Omo, the wahala no be small. Na so I dey see the full profile of one of my classmate all the way from when I dey secondary school.  E shock me no be small, person way I no been even remember en existence and in one move, I see all about  and what his been up to lately. E just dey bad but, na the only way them been get yo try recover there money be that.
Where the matter con cast be say, after you don cassette person like that, who go like pay the loan kwanu... you don cast the person packaging and that na something you no go fit undo.

The matter still remains say, if you borrow money to use help your life, try dey pay back. At least, it helped at that time and the only way of reciprocating that love na to pay back. On top of that, try to dey avoid to borrow, to pay no sweet so, avoid to borrow.
1618  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why Naija nor dey use biowaste? on: April 03, 2023, 09:58:15 PM
Unlike advanced countries, naija no be like country way u gats dey pay for everything like the amenities way de dey task that way. Them get general sewage system way dey channel all there domestic waste and like that, e dey easy for them yo centralise and utilise am. Even still, them don do proper research on the mechanics on the system and how to utilise are e no constitute big problem. Even at that, niaja still get serious security challenges so, e no go take long before one group go come up and see how them fit use the system course harm.

I don see where them use biogas run cooking natter before shah. It was a brief show of the steam and e no been bad shah.
1619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 03, 2023, 09:43:41 PM
Very strong and also great game between Everton vs Tottenham and what is more impressive is Michael Keane, the centre-back, was able to score in the 90th minute with a very powerful shot from outside the box, and made the final score 1-1.
and Michael Keane made amends for a foul in the box, and Harry Kane's 68th-minute penalty put Tottemham 0-1 up.
Everton played very well in the second half and also dominated, and in this match both teams also received 1 red card. And Everton were shown early red cards in the 58th minute by Doucoure and Tottenham in the 88th by Lucas Moura.
It was a stupid thing Doucoure did to have reacted the way he did with Harry Kane, it was highly unnecessary and even Gray was peaceful while on the floor the whole time. I dint fault the referee to have awarded a red card, it was deserved given the many contacts he made. After that came the defensive error by Keane and that was not something he could have avoided with Romero to have come from just no where and find himself at the end of Keanes boots.
After that we had the psychology play out on Keane and he became more involved in the game, searching for redemption until he eventually found it and what a wonderful goal he produced. NIce for Everton not to have given up, it's so EPL.

You have a different font for the number, so it should be pretty easy to verify that you're fooling someone. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of your yesterday's thread, but I wish I did answer for something similar to what I said above.
Apparently not everything was put under consideration but, the font was something I had to scan for what is more similar. Didn't do that based on a number against number base and what font does the forum actually use, I haven't checked that out yet. One issue I faced on font selection was making it bold. The software I was using for edition didn't allow that and everything was done quickly.
Somehow, it was going to catch those that don't keep a keen eye on slight differences or arent really familiar with the forum fonts. I would say a lot of users followed up from the observations of Nutildah else, we could have seen more users falling in.
