1601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 02, 2021, 08:54:33 AM
Westbrook addition is already huge, another player who pushes the ball and for sure the Lakers are going to run this season eventhough some of them are already in thir mid 30's.

Russell Westbrook is seen as still being athletic at his age. The early '30s is not a veteran to consider but just not playing already on their 100% prime. I don't know what kind of training Westbrook is underdoing but he's becoming stronger and still a high leaper even past his prime. If Lebron will be injured or sidelined, the Lakers are still in good hands but of course no one wants that to happen as we like to see all are healthy throughout the season.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 02, 2021, 08:39:31 AM

We will know in their coming fight if Caleb Plant's strategy is working, but I really doubt that because we know how smart Canelo is, he might show some weakness of not being able to control his emotion but you can see in his eyes how focus he is in the ring.

I think the fight that took place at the press conference a while ago, will trigger a very strong attraction for boxing fans to watch the fight, in that incident Canelo emotions were not fully provoked in my opinion and it can be seen from the small wound Caleb got on his face, to be honest I can't imagine if security was a bit late to separate them and I'm sure Caleb's face could be badly crushed that day Grin. I think caleb will get all the wrath of Canelo in the ring later and I personally believe that in the next fight Canelo will smash caleb face.

You have a point but if Caleb will just focus on that trashtalk he received, he might end up at a disadvantage. An act of revenge is good but Canelo should control his emotion rather than just destroy Caleb Plant because of what happened in the press conference.

Now that Caleb knows the ability of Canelo once they faced off, he now needs to think of a way how to handle Canelo at the close bout. Canelo strikes his opening that quick and he didn't anticipate it.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot vs Video Poker on: October 02, 2021, 08:27:33 AM
2. Obviously it's poker. You definitely know that even if you are not a gambler

But the topic here is not the poker you are referring to. It's video poker and to give you a view of what is it, look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_poker

The usual poker games are against the real players. On this video poker, you are against the house and everything is automated. I just don't know how's the house edge or something like RTP here compares to other luck-based games.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit cards and gambling (tabcorp, Australia) on: October 02, 2021, 08:12:29 AM
And if they know that there are abusing the credit card from the user, they can know because they will have a way to track the account and investigate. Even if the banks and the government prohibit using credit cards for gambling, the gambler will not have a problem because they will use the other way to continue gambling.
Yes, there will be no point in using credit cards for gambling the concept just doesn't add up to me. Governments want to crack down gambling itself so why then support a system i.e. banks that can provide credit cards to gamblers, possibly one of the most unreliable customers you could have.

In short, I find it problematic for both credit card providers as much as for the gamblers themselves due to their activities being ttracked as clear as day, which may even extend to affecting their credit card history.
There's no need for a ban but rather a more strict monitoring out of those credit card users which had really involved in gambling.Banks could able to do such thing and if there's banning then its clearly
theres mo reason behind that decision because they cant just impose any bans without any depth reason to do so.If they dont like gambling then they could ban it directly without attaching out
credit cards because we know that this isnt only the sole purpose on why credit cards exist on the first place.

Bank-issuing cards can just restrict gambling-related transactions. But you know, it will be easy for gambling sites to just ban it totally but since banks have different policies, it's now up for banks to do the job of banning credit card users. And not all do have credit cards that's why for me, it's not really alarming unless gambling sites have the record that most transactions on their platforms are with the use of credit cards.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 02, 2021, 07:54:50 AM
It looks like "old" players need more time to rest because there are rumors that James, Westbrook, Melo, and Ariza will miss the first preseason match. So the Lakers vs. Nets game will not be interesting, and I expect it should be an easy win for the Nets if KD, Harden, and Irving play.

That rumor can be classified as not a rumor already because, in most of the cases in the history of pre-season games, starters don't usually play. Even if they will play, just for limited minutes to just test the environment after a long break.

Fans are already used to seeing pre-season games without the team's respective superstars that's why it's not really a big deal if they won't play. It's just less than a month to go before the official opening of the season games so just a short wait now for fans to watch their idols in the court.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting to begin this Thursday in Connecticut on: October 02, 2021, 07:44:18 AM
It's a good news and a breath of fresh air, considering that the past few months brought forth lots of negative news about gambling.

Negative news this past few months? Like what. The topic isn't really news to cover those negative news, if there's any. If you are talking about regulations, as far as those topics here in the section are concerns, that's not negative news to be considered. Regulations are even meant to make gambling more user-friendly and give assurance that people are always covered.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: October 02, 2021, 07:20:45 AM
I do believe 90% or even more gamblers do gambling for the sake of quick money, not for the thrill and entertainment.

I agree with you. These people saying gambling should only be for fun might be actually always in regrets and disappointment every time they lose. Or maybe they are just saying it but don't actually have the experience gambling and just posting here for the sake of, you know it that's why they don't know the feeling of being a gambler, being a casual or not.

Even rich people are gambling not just for entertainment but also want to win. How more for average gamblers here?
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: October 02, 2021, 07:07:29 AM
Just treat it as no-brainer game and enjoy the game.

You are totally wrong there. There's no strategy that can we rely on to increase the chance of winning in dice but there's a strategy to control your bankroll. Since we are playing with luck here, every bet should not be suicide. If you will treat playing dice games as a no-brainer game, you are just throwing away your money without even trying to test your luck.

Luck-based games need lots of tries for that win to hit. Since it needs several attempts, it requires a good bankroll. Without proper managing of bankroll and just bet and bet, you are just depleting your funds quickly. If that's your view then it would be better to just bet at once and pray for your luck.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 02, 2021, 06:56:43 AM
Look at McGregor because of His attitude he gains haters than fans and thi is what Casimero is having now.

McGregor can live with his trash talks and no need to prove anything. That was different to Casimero that still on the ground but his trash talk is sometimes below the belt. People won't have a choice but to admire any boxer even they are trash talkers if they can prove it in the ring, in the actual fight.

But for the level of trash talk, Casimero's trash talk is not that brutal compare to other fighters. He still has that respect and his apology for Donaire recently is proof that he's not that arrogant. He may be just want to sell the Donaire fight but unfortunately got canceled.
1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: October 02, 2021, 06:43:45 AM
I misread what you wrote. I thought that betting web sites are using blockchain for internal transactions. That's why I was so surprised. I know about provable fairness system with casinos.

By internal transactions, do you mean transferring funds between accounts on that site? There's no blockchain involved there as that initiated by executing a contract. It was used on exchanges like Binance that's why you won't see any transaction hash for internal transactions.

Stake also have internal transfers between their users. No need to transfers funds via blockchain.
1611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 01, 2021, 11:59:39 PM
I'm looking for Donaire to win but also a bit of concern that Gaballo will now have its first loss. In the end, I like Gaballo instead to win because it's his era now. If Gaballo wins, another Filipino boxer will be more popular again. More opportunities will come and might be Gaballo's ticket for a much bigger fight. Donaire already achieved his dream. It's the time now for a young boxer to enter the high stage. Donaire doesn't need to prove something. He is a reputable boxer for Pinoy boxing fans.
1612  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 01, 2021, 11:59:11 PM
The month Of October started on a good grand for Bitcoin as its price raised significantly in the late hour of the 1st of October a move many analysts have predicted to be the full return of the Bitcoin bull market.

Looking at my portfolio. A bit of increase happened. Slowly, I'm expecting the upward trend will emerge again.

But I don't mind if it won't be this month. A positive market takes a process to become an uptrend. For now, let's do our best to gather coins at the current price. There will be questions again if it's ok to buy at the high price now once the bull runs back. A question that keeps hunting those always confused.
1613  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: October 01, 2021, 11:53:27 PM

1614  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: September 30, 2021, 11:23:46 PM
Thinking of evolving my Rudolph kasi 3 ang nabiyayaan ng wings. Ano hitsura pala ng evolve Rudolph? Parang wala pa ako nakita.
Eto bro ang itsura niya.

Bakit parang walang angas. Iyong ibang pet ang ganda ng evolve. Di man lang pinalaki haha.

Maganda future nito guys. This game is not just a hype.
1615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 11:15:29 PM
I’m really anxious to see how they fit Carmelo into the game plan. I’m also curious how LeBron is going to handle Carmelo when he misses a few bad shots in a row.

In my lineup projection, I don't see what role will Carmelo fit. Maybe the best thing to do is for him and Lebron not to play at the same time. He will be the replacement for Lebron for substitution. Melo can also be like Kuzma or KCP but that's not his style.

The Lakers need some more games to test adjustments. They should play at their whole roster on their pre-season games.
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: September 30, 2021, 11:06:36 PM
Interesting write up but why is sportsbetting not in both categories of chance based and skill based?? When you say chance based I want to believe you are talking about gaming with nothing less than luck??

Try to read again the first post. Sports betting was of course categorized as skill-based.

When you say chance based I want to believe you are talking about gaming with nothing less than luck??

You are correct there. Chance based = luck-based

No strategy is involved. Just wait if lucks hits you.

It would also be nice to see which of the strategies would leave  a gambler walking our with profit and not empty pockets because when it comes to gambling  no matter how skilled you are you are likely to lose your money to the house.

You can't defeat a house that's for sure but there are lots of gamblers who already won the big jackpots playing at luck-based games. The same goes for skill-based. But to summarize, that was gambling and there's no assurance if a gambler will win big or lose regardless of what type of games they played.
1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This bull makes all alts will make new all time highs on: September 30, 2021, 10:52:28 PM
Don't be too happy with most altcoins that you hold because it's still be depending on its worth if it can go by with the market's bull run. Not because it's been said that don't sell your alts, you still have to consider and check the value of your altcoin.
Not all of them goes together with the bull run and there's more likely that many of the unpopular altcoins are going to suffer despite the market has been showing that it's on a bull run.

Half of my altcoins in my portfolio that has already been on hold for a long time now don't perform well in the last bull run.

Once Bitcoin prices go up rapidly, it doesn't mean that altcoins will follow. It depends on the market sustainability of that coin while at the same time, it should need a heavy pump for it to become noticeable on the daily volume chart.

You are right. Not all coins can be brought by the bull run. If things are that easy, no one is losing by now.
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 30, 2021, 10:42:34 PM
Dogecoin price was good before the elon musk effect. Elon opting out will only reduce it's value a bit, but yes, it'll survive.

Dogecoin wasn't good until Elon's hyped it. If that influential person didn't take over and enter the scene, Dogecoin is just an ordinary meme coin with stable volume and can't be considered a good coin to be traded for a short term.

Now with the silence about anything involving Dogecoin, don't expect that the price will be pushed up even with a bull market unless a like of Elon Musk or having with equal status, will make noise for that coin.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano run $200 on: September 30, 2021, 10:32:43 PM
Too much expectation. Being positive is good but make limits.

I also don't understand what OP is saying but if it was really about Cardano hitting $200 soon, that was a crazy dream. Hitting even a $1 to $3 requires a huge market cap and some hype to make awareness to coin. It will struggle to reach $5 even on a bull market.

I'm not totally against that dream price but it's too much to expect.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: September 30, 2021, 10:20:58 PM
The only way Donaire would win here is via knockout because if the fight goes the full 12 rounds chances are Donaire would gas out and Gaballo might take over in the championship rounds. So with that being said my bet is Donaire via KO, I hope the odds are attractive for this market.

Donaire is hitting with his age effect and fighting 12 rounds is already exhausting to him. It's difficult to gather points while stamina is depleting.

A knockout win for Donaire should be the key to win the fight. When they are both tired, Gaballo seems to have an advantage as he's currently in his prime and can manage to last 12 rounds with no problem with stamina.

Unless Donaire will school and show Gaballo what's the meaning of being a multi-champion and a titleholder.
