That's the reality with the Lakers now, if Lebron makes a bad play, the Lakers will suffer. Many times I saw in their game that when Lebron is holding the ball for the last shot, mostly it will fail because it's either he will shoot with a low percentage or will just pass the ball when he is pressured, but the original play is him taking the last shot. I hope this would change as Westbrook is already with the team.

LeBron holding the ball for the last shot most likely to fail? But the statistics says differently. LeBron was ranked at the top 10 most clutch player in the NBA. If he passes on the dying seconds of the game that doesn't mean it's not part of the play. Yes, he was the priority most of the time, but with the swarming defense LeBron wouldn't force a low percentage shot, thus he passes to the most open man outside.
Remember how perfect the play was in the 2020 finals against Miami when LeBron passes the ball to Danny Green?

I don't know why some people were mad when LeBron doesn't want to force a low percentage shot.

That's the thing, he is not as consistent as he was before, we can understand because he is not the star player now like he used to be when he was still playing with the New York Knicks. Time changes, but at least Melo was given a chance to get signed, first with Blazers and now with the Lakers. Who knows, if he wins a championship here he will decide to retire, at least he was a champion when he retired.

If he can be productive within his minutes which I doubt at this stage since I'm thinking he'd be getting fewer minutes this time compared to what he has at Portland. He's got 10+ points/min in the recent stats he got but seems it's declining, in regards to retirement I think it's a best thing if he gets a ring first but looks like age hits him already and it's just a matter of time before he announced it.

10+ points/min will already be huge for him and for the Lakers. He needs to be consistent though. And if he turns out to be cold, then he will simply be replace. I think he knows his place with the Lakers. He will be there to score and contribute in his way and hopefully the Lakers can win another ring with their current lineup with tons of veterans and experience players including Carmelo himself.

But it will be hard for him to get the minutes with the likes of really good players in the squad. Probably CP3 and his team will have a lot of challenges in this season, the teams are back healthy and teams like the Lakers and Nets had improve their lineup. honestly, I don't see them winning a championship with the same lineup, so I expect that CP3 will be traded after this season.

Yes, Melo will get his minutes because this Lakers team is an injury prone one. So the coach has to rotate the squads otherwise players like Davis might get injured often than not. And Melo has the experience needed and should be having a good season because, in my opinion, this Lakers side is one of the strongest, if not the most stronger team ever. They even have a very good squad depth. So they can easily give a run for the title.

After that event in his life, he changes a lot. We see him adjusting with the Blazers he support and accepts the fact that he is no longer the main man. He's okay with limited minutes and coming out the bench.

The same way you have seen him, he adjusts and develops his skills, not just for scoring machine but the way he defends. He moves more now, unlike when he played way back with Houston.

Moving forward to Lakers, we might see more from him. If Coach Vogel, gives him enough minutes to contribute, he might bring something

People are forgetting that Lebron has been an iron man for so long, yes he had some injuries but at the end of the day he is Lebron and he takes care of his body like a temple. I believe that injury concerns should be aimed at AD because dude has been injury prone ever since he came into the league and he has that potential again. I know the team is old and all but they are still a very talented bunch of players and they would keep on being like that.

Westbrook added to the already great team made this team insane, they had one more superstar contract left in their team just so they could get Kawhi a few years ago, but they now know that they can't get him so they just got Westbrook instead. This is just a super team if I have ever seen one, I do not remember many teams that had overall better talent when you look at the roster, unless something unexpected happens I could see even 16-0 playoff run from them.

I wouldn’t say anyone is expecting to see them play. If I thought all the starters were going to play on both teams then I’d be at Staples Center for it (is it still called that?). I do hope we’ll get some glimpses of the players in action so we can see who was working during the off-season.

One thing I do know… This is the last weekend with no nba basketball for a while. Get those chores done you’ve been putting off while you can!

Their issue from the moment they were paired. KP do not like the idea of being on the corner just waiting for the ball to be passed to him. That's the play given by their coach and he was mad about that. They keep on focusing everything to Luka and forgot he is also a dagger that could contribute a lot.
We could say there is part jealousy on how they gave everything to Luka and made the Unicorn a fictional character, literally.
I am hoping this year it won't be like that. They should set aside their emotion and just straightly look at the goal for a championship just like how Shaq and Kobe did it despite their differences. Just be professional when you step on that basketball floor.
