Ultimate Bet used to have them, and so did a few of those subscription poker sites (pay x a month to play a zillion "freerolls" and maybe cash in ht e big tournament at the end of the month).
They work sort of like a sit and go in poker. Everyone sits at the same table with the same # of chips. You take turns placing your bet (with the person going first changing every hand) so that there is some strategy in how much you bet, and the person with the most chips at the end (an amount of time or number of hands) wins the most money.
You can add in other stuff like secret bets (you get to keep your bet a secret until after the hand is over), elimination hands (whoever has the least amount of chips after the hand is out) and whatnot.
It adds some other strategy to blackjack. If someone makes a big bet before you you can bet small and hope the dealer wins that hand. You might need to double a hand that you wouldn't in real life to get over the max bet.

Well done. Amusing as it may be, there is an interesting aspect to this trollfuddery. When the "rebels" took over it was claimed repeatedly that XPY will be brought up to "whitepaper specs", that new ways to use it will be created (without fanfare of preannouncements of course) and so on. That was 3 or 4 months ago at ~$0.20 so anyone who listened to that and held on to their coins lost another ~75%. All we got so far is xpy.io and... that's about it, isn't it? Not sure why anyone believed that when the whitepaper is made up of completely made up things that no one ever attempted to make like orion controllers and a hyperflex blockchain |

It's been quite some time since we heard a peep out of BTC-Arbs, so I'm very close to just completely writing off my losses and reporting these two (that I know of) to their local authorities. It won't amount to anything for anyone here, in fact in all likelihood it'll end what little payments we were seeing as it is, but after a year of this little trickle of Bitcoin every few months, I doubt anyone will be too concerned or surprised. I feel like my chain has just been jerked way too long on this thing and I'm over it. It's time for them to answer for what they did in a way that has some meaning.
You should have done that a long time ago, it was obvious that it was a ponzi from the beginning, and all but confirmed when it "died." You can't do arbitrage with unlimited amounts of money because of slippage, I hope you enjoy the pennies you got as "refunds" as they allowed him an extra year of having to deal with any possible repercussions to ripping you off. |

Is mugen like video games? You can probably bet on esports fighting games if you look hard enough. You can bet on UFC/boxing. I don't know what you mean by "legit simulated wrestling" legit and simulated have opposite meanings. A real fight would end up looking like a UFC fight (although not exactly the same if the goal was to pin the shoulders to the mat), that would probably end up looking like olympic style wrestling because you don't gain much by punching or kicking people. Making wwe/tna type wrestling "real" would never work. All of the stuff that makes wwe/tna look exciting is a result of both guys working together. |

I have seen people bet on wwe events, paddy power, bovada, etc sometimes will have lines up for the major events.
The limits are very small, and I really doubt you will ever see big limits, especially on a bitcoin betting site because the anonymous nature of bitcoin will make it very easy for people that know the outcome to make a lot of money.
the outcome of pro wrestling matches is predetermined, if you offer bets on it you need to do everything in your power to make sure that you know you aren't taking bets from people that know what's going to happen, and it's A LOT harder to do that in bitcoin.

Is anything ever going to happen with this? I am starting to wonder if there is or ever was a criminal investigation going on. Starting to look like Josh is just going to skip away Scott-free(aside from a few civil suits which he can just completely ignore).
Something may happen, it may not. You have to realize that this is very small time for the federal authorities to actually give a shit about, especially because it's such a weird thing. I don't expect much to happen, but I would see stuff happening because of the internet stuff in new england first. That adventure directly screwed over governments and people getting screwed out of internet/phone service they paid for is much more important than people getting screwed over in some hare brained investment scheme that never made a lick of sense. Sorry, hare brained or not, "weird thing" or not, crime is crime and he should be pursued and made to account. They should, but there's this thing called priorities. Wannabe investors losing small amounts is a very low priority. If/when something happens, It will take time and involve Josh spending lots of your money between now and then. The calendar is ticking, if you want money back or something to happen it will require effort. The key words are: Cantor Fitzgerald vice president September 11th charity fraud. Waiting for the law will take forever and may not result in anything. Make a big enough stink about a cantor Fitzgerald vp being within smelling distance of 9/11 charity fraud and you will actually get people to listen to you and may get some results. This falling apart isn't bad luck, it's bad intentions/process. MAYBE we can say the people that lost coins in the original "hack" on his exchange was bad luck. But anyone that lost anything of value after that point in time made a bad decision by expecting him to come through.
