Remember CEX.io? Presumably one of the "legit" cloud mining businesses. Got a bit tangled in their own thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=318010.msg11958998#msg11958998Some highlights: - Displayed a fake TrustPilot score on their home page. Then replaced it with another fake "satisfaction" number.
- Insists to have never claimed to own mining hardware. Despite posts showing archived information about purchasing ASICs, data center pictures etc.
- As soon as some criticism appeared in their thread some very happy users started posting positive reviews.
I've never been a big fan of CEX but never thought they would go full Garza. All they need to do now is get one of those hyperflux controllers.

Jesus H. Are any of these bastards going to operate legitimately?
Seriously, while I never got involved with cex.io I at least assumed they were that big an operation they had already been accepted as being an actual cloud mining service.

On cex you only traded mining, there was never any actual mining. It existed solely as fake shares or chips that were loose which were supposed to be traded. What is CEX.IO? CEX.IO is a platform where you can trade GHs and Bitfury Chips real-time with other authorized CEX.IO users. Your buy or sell orders are matched against a parameterized database of other orders. If a perfect match is found, a caps trade is executed instantly. If there are no matching orders at the price you specified, then your order remains opened. To maintain fairness in trading, we have taken a purely-platform approach and CEX.IO is never a counter-party to any trade.

On cex you only traded mining, there was never any actual mining. It existed solely as fake shares which were supposed to be traded. You could make money on there selling hashing certificates by postal mail on ebay. It was small potatoes unless the occasional sucker bidder ran the price up to crazy levels.

What?
So what was the point of it if there wasn't any actual mining being sold? Are you saying people just traded notional mining chips that didn't actually do anything ??

I've never been a big fan of CEX but never thought they would go full Garza. All they need to do now is get one of those hyperflux controllers. Full Garza is the logical business move. If I gave you 1 btc to purchase and run a miner that would only generate enough btc to return .8 btc to me after you take your cut, why would you go through the trouble of purchasing a miner and paying for electricity and wasting your time and energy running the thing?

I've never been a big fan of CEX but never thought they would go full Garza. All they need to do now is get one of those hyperflux controllers. This is because most of the companies out there are looking for a quick buck instead of actually improving their businesses to help with crypto's in general. They can give two shits about actually helping as long as they get their money.
