Is there a secure node available for anyone who wants to set up one providing we have 43 ZenCash coins? Or, is there a big waiting period and the line of people wanting to get a secure node is long? Thank you, G.P. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Demand is high so i doubt that there is an node for sale, but yes there are few people who doing this. Hi!
Medar. Would you be so kind to help me please ? I'm running a secure node on main net and the node challenge has been failed. I got this error message: "18: bad-txns-joinsplit-requirements-not-met" (This is the second challenge, the previous one was successful). Can you explain this what does it mean and how can i solve it please ? I already ask this question on slack and discord in multiple times but no one reply to me. Thank you in advance.
Robcsa.
Chech if you are in compliance? The tracker will report any compliance issues. Tracker link will be most usefull ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ? Send me on pm.

Hello Medar, so as of currently, i need to set up and run on VM? I got my zen ready but seems like there's no people run it on windows yet haha, hope it will come soon ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) As I said before Windows has poor memory management, and certainly cannot be called secure system so members avoiding to use it for this purpose. But if someone decide to share his experince I will post it here. You can run it using VM just follow the instructions.

Is it going to be possible run secure nodes on windows? Any ETA if so?
I didn't find confirmation anyone tested it on Windows, without using Virtual machine. is someone still working on zcl? or is it now a dead chain?

Great mention on bitcoin.com about sustainable mining.
One expert who’s been eyeing the project with interest is cryptocurrency miner and Zencash business developer Rowan Stone. He told news.Bitcoin.com:
"I think that sourcing renewable energy will be an essential part of crypto continuing to grow at its current rate. But when we talk about renewable energy, we talk about sources that cannot be depleted. That’s why the miners of tomorrow will power their mines with wind, water and solar energy – not car tyres." https://news.bitcoin.com/is-zero-waste-bitcoin-mining-achievable/

Quick question, how often do you get challenges on a secure node ? Is it possible to trigger one ? I'm trying different comps to see what fits the requirements in terms of timing.
Are there any plans to increase the part of the secure nodes rewards in the future ?
Please join Discord channel, you can get more accurate informations from members who already running a nodes. At start there will be 1-2 challenges. Your node must complete chalanges in less then 300 seconds. Challenges A challenge is meant to prove the capability of a node and is sent to a node on a periodic basis. A challenge consists of a random block being chosen from the blockchain by the server, the server sending a challenge to a node, the node looking up specific information about the block and then creating a private transaction to send the result to the server via the blockchain. The node also replies to the server with the transaction id and the server looks up transaction and determines if the information matches once the block with the new transaction reaches the server. For now system will stay as it is, till we don't get voting system so community can change some things by proposing and voting.

Is tracker up already? It said in the document to wait for a tracker to be up in order to run it on the VPS.
Yes, it has been up for about 15 hours now

What's the strategy? Do you prefer to have only tech-savvy users operating secure nodes? Or do you plan to spread it more and more making it simpler to other users who basically run Windows at their homes and rent a VPS for a secure node and to support Zencash?
I ask that because if you really want to reach a larger audience, then guides should be a bit more step by step, not commands like "Update the tracker application to the version which supports mainnet". Only my thoughts...
We will give our best to compile different guides for different systems but keep in mind that main idea behind this is security for network, and windows platforms are not so famous as secure. We will work out on user manuals which will be more accostomed to ordinary users. Also techical support will be on higher level.

I didn't understand the difference between what we have now and what is coming next concerning Secure Nodes. Can someone briefly explain?
All explained here: https://blog.zensystem.io/secure-nodes-why-are-they-important/In the future we might add some services to the secure nodes , like process shielded transactions, and many more, that are still in discussion..

When does the team plan to integrate secure node plug and play action directly into the wallet? I'm sure the majority are daunted by the undertaking as it is now.
Very good question, but unfortunately this is not going to happen anytime soon.

could someone kindly help me. on my swing wallet. i only get it to sync 98%. i thought i had lost my wallet but bitdefender had removed some files. i restored the files. now i get it to sync to 98% then it reads zero connections and stays that way. any help would be grest thanks
Check time and timezone on your system. Reindex - > start zend manually from a terminal with a command like: zend -reindex and start the GUI wallet after that.

Yeah, great movement from Testnet to Mainnet. Would you mind giving me links to documents on the differences between Secure nodes and Masternodes, please.
Secure Nodes improves network security - Whole communication is encrypted and secured with secure nodes, which is not the case with typical master nodes who are vulnerable, and can be compromised in certain cases. Secure nodes are profitabil 3.5% from every block is reserved as reward for nodes and this numbe is lower when you compare it with other projects with mastre nodes, profitability was not main concern in case of Zen. What system is better only time will tell, but if you have 42 Zen ~ 1000 USD you can start your own secure node, all other coins are too expensive if you compare them this way. https://blog.zensystem.io/secure-nodes-why-are-they-important/
