1621  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) on: December 18, 2022, 02:01:28 PM
Don't expect to get something better from mercatox. They have got a shit reputation. Check their bitcointalk trust here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=912990
Can also have a read to this- Crex24.com = 1xBet = 1xBit. Owners of fraudful exchange have been de-anonimyzed
They are a serial scammer and I read somewhere that mercatox has a connection with Crex24, I can't remember where I read it.
Anyway, ever since DOGE has a surge, many exchanges had committed fraud including the top exchanges. I don't think you will get anything anytime soon.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 18, 2022, 01:50:25 PM
If there's ever a reviewer that never plugs the affiliate link anywhere, I'd call that a miracle :p
I agree with what you said. It's not possible at all that someone will run a site without any benefits, as we know google ads or any other ads would pay peanut if they enable while with an affiliate, it's very possible to earn a handsome amount, and sometimes, if lucky, a very good amount. Market leaders in this industry are having a huge amount of income from affiliates. Regardless, they are biased all the time, no matter what.
1623  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have spent 100 days of my life logged on bitcointalk! on: December 18, 2022, 01:45:19 PM
I am not sure if this can be considered as a bug but it's about how this forum calculate how long you have been online.
I think it is and it should be fixed. It says "Total time logged in:". Why should a logged-in user be counted more than one time at a time? Regardless of how many tabs they have opened at once, all of them should be counted as one single logged in and that's how the logged-in time should be counted too. Well, as theymos say most of the time, fixing this isn't the priority to him nor does this make a lot of difference but when someone outsider visit this tab, they will have a wrong data for sure and it will take time to discover the truth.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 17, 2022, 09:58:47 AM
While there are reviewers that just leave their links in hope of referrals, the two I mentioned above have spent their own money and are more direct when it comes to which casinos are good and bad.
I don't want to say the name of anyone here but all the reviewers are also biased in many ways. For example, in any casino review site, if they rank casinos, they will list the one at the top which provides them the most referral commission. I have seen that almost in every casino review site. Isn't it a biased opinion? Well, I'm aware of both the sites you mentioned and I have to agree that they are quite good in terms of reviewing a casino and helping someone pick the best casino.
1625  Other / Meta / Re: Gambling Signature Trap Trolls on: December 17, 2022, 09:30:08 AM

Solution:

It's a problem of signature campaign participants, not a problem for the forum itself. I don't think theymos is going to change/add a rule just to make sure signature campaign participants don't get in trouble. This is not a solid reason, can't be.
It's a pain when you participate in a campaign where you are required to do X times of posts in a single board which was the reason I left OWL.games signature campaign. I was getting tired to force myself to post in the gambling section though I usually post there but having such a fixed rule is somewhat hard to follow.
I would recommend you
1. To stop posting on self-moderated threads though this won't be a solution.
2. Join a campaign where no specific board post isn't required.
3. Join a pay-per-post campaign.

1626  Other / Meta / Re: Is word to word copy paste allowed ? on: December 17, 2022, 09:20:34 AM
I don't know why this is allowed. A few people post the exact texts and putting a source link makes them a legal post here which sounds too funny to me. If the OP of the post puts no effort at all and don't put some words from their own, I don't think it should be allowed. If I'm correct, there were few discussion on it but never got the attention from theymos or theynos never considered to review the rules.
The rules are back-dated. If I'm correct, it was allowed so that people can share news and continue the discussion while these days, people are abusing the rules most of the time.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 17, 2022, 08:38:12 AM
You won't get an accurate answer here. Most of the posters will tell you about the casino they are promoting as some of them thinks they should lol. Most of the replies are biased. I haven't promoted stake ever, nor I'm affiliated with them. 90% of the times of my total gambling, I use stake and that's sportsbet most of the times. For other games, I don't have a go to casino. I check a few and try to pick a reputed one.

Hello. I create new Bitcoin address with segwit bech32 support.
Can you please sign a message from this address to verify that you are the owner? Though I can see a signed message from 2020. But that has been old I think, your account had some issues back in the day. It would be good if you sign a message from that address.

Since 2014?
That's a huge time you spent here.
I have been here since 2018 and I have spent 105+ days here which I myself can't believe when I did lol. I didn't check it earlier but when I saw your topic, I looked how many days I have passed.

Your forum time will increase dramatically 😂
I had a look at the bitcointalk stats center, and guess what? I know none from the top 0. Though I haven't checked their profile, I'm sure all of them are bots.

1630  Economy / Exchanges / Re: STOP THE EXCHANGE FUD; Everyone will suffer the effect. on: December 15, 2022, 08:59:40 AM
It's funny how most of you are unaware of the significance of these exchanges now. Have you ever thought what would happen if these exchanges stopped due to the unneeded FUD we create and support online?
It sounds funny to you. What would happen? Have you thought? I don't know what your perspective is but you know what, if there were no such shitty exchanges, I believe the price manipulation would reduce significantly. They manipulate the market heavily. Now, if they didn't exist, how we would be harmed? Exchanges are key, but that's decentralized exchanges, not centralized exchanges. And you don't know anything that's happening inside. This environment is something we don't see. We only see the things that they want to show us (can't remember the popular quote here).
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 15, 2022, 08:16:59 AM
Well played France!  Grin This match could have ended 3-0 or 2-1 but unfortunately it was 2-0 Roll Eyes

I was pretty sure that many people would take 2-0 to france. I was 99% sure sam00 would go 2-0 (I've seen him go 2-0 in such matches earlier in the tournament) Therefore I wanted to take a chance to increase the lead if I was right. But unfortunately it went wrong  Grin
Lol. I had picked 2-0 a few days back but I was thinking about whether I should change or not because France's front line is something unstoppable. Though later changed my mind and didn't change. Lucky me! There are still 2 matches left, 6 maximum points can be gained. Anything can happen here. There's still a chance that the top 10 will be changed if something different happens lol. Almost everyone has the chance to reach top.
1632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 15, 2022, 06:13:42 AM
Trust wallet is closed source and that is the problem. Don't let their account on GitHub fool you, they do not publish the source code for their wallet. That means you do not know what the wallet is actually doing. If Binance decides to scam its users some day and run away (insolvency or whatever) they could have introduced a backdoor in their wallet to have access to users' keys and steal their coins any time they want.
This is the problem with using closed source software for as a cryptocurrency wallet.
I see, I wasn't sure as they made some confusion. They have been misleading their users? I have no little idea about these matters. I was reading another thread on the same issue. This is very possible that they may create a backdoor since claim it as a hack  Cheesy
Well, I'm not a user of either of these multi-coin wallets anymore for a long time since I got my hardware wallet.
1633  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What do you think about trust wallet? on: December 15, 2022, 06:05:29 AM
By the way, theymos also recommend using this wallet here

I have no idea about non-Bitcoin wallets;
I didn't know it existed unless theymos mentioned it(not a vouch). He was also asking if someone has checked/used the wallet. It doesn't sound to be a vouch/recommendation Well, unstoppable wallet sounds to be a decent one so far for multi coin but personally, I haven't used that wallet as I don't feel it necessary so far.

Or, do your own judgement by factors such as:
(1) Does source code exist?
(2) Has someone audited it or is it a known codebase that lots of people have looked at?
(3) Can you build it yourself? If so, do that.
(4) If not, can you verify that the (binary) builds they publish, actually match the source code? (reproducible builds)
1. Yes, it's open source.
2. Have a look here. They claimed it was verified by 3rd party.

1634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: STOP THE EXCHANGE FUD; Everyone will suffer the effect. on: December 15, 2022, 05:28:31 AM
for those of you who have free sig and avatar space you can dedicate it to this beautiful initiative by NotATether . we need to protect bitcoin NOW and stop the fud
What this website has to do with the exchange FUD? And you think this is nothing but harmful for the crypto community? Lol. The FUD going around is people should take care of their funds instead of leaving them in exchange. In other words "Not your keys, not your coins". But you are asking people to stop that? Means you are asking them to leave the funds on exchange? NotATether doesn't promote that of course.
And how exchange FUD and Protecting Bitcoin is correlated? Can you explain further?
1635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 15, 2022, 04:50:19 AM
I mean since they are like kind of a mother to trust wallet since CZ runs it, Binance goes bankrupt and trust wallet's follows ?
First of all, it's a wallet. What it has to have a downfall? It's a product/service we use without paying anything (I think some data is collected). If Binance goes bankrupt, people may stop using the Trust wallet but that doesn't change the fact that "Only you have control over the funds". The wallet can be closed source (afaik, it's open source), but since it's non-custodial, you have nothing to worry about unless a hacker gets control of your phone and steal your assets. However, it's always best to not use a hot wallet. A hardware wallet is the best, you have to spend little money to be your own bank.
1636  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary jail: Too fast / overloaded (503) on: December 14, 2022, 04:31:10 PM
Your account was once hacked if I'm correct. Maybe it has been hacked again lol. Hacker and you are accessing the account at the same time. Maybe that caused you the error. I can't see any other reason. Be aware mate, secure your account  Cheesy

Given enough users, it's bound to happen eventually.
Would that happen if someone is logged in and other isn't. I think no though I'm not sure. In case of logged in users, it's very unlikely I think because only a very few person uses the forum through TOR (guess without stats).
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Elon musk listen to bitcoiners not to delete Hal Finney's account on: December 14, 2022, 12:10:31 PM
You don't have to beg but have his attention lol. The comment from Lyn Alden is more than enough I think. Once it receives enough attention from the community, I'm sure it will get the attention from Elon Musk too.

However, I don't think Elon is going to be such harsh and delete all the inactive accounts which belong to famous people.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 14, 2022, 10:11:21 AM
Who else think the penalty was a wrong call? I don't know if Modric has told it in real or not but few media is covering that he told after the match. I believe too that it was a wrong call. In no way, it should be a penalty call, same as the other two in favor of Argentina. First one against Saudi Arabia and second one against Poland if I'm correct.

Maybe we can have one more special bet on Sportsbet, who is going to win first place in Supebru Wink
ME ME  Cheesy
Unlucky me! Got 37 win but most of them are CLOSE result.

I don't think Morocco is going any further.
I think so but it's not going to be the same as Argentina vs Croatia I think. Morocco will push hard, they have proven them already.
1639  Economy / Gambling / Re: 0.022 on Morocco lol on: December 13, 2022, 03:35:34 PM
So far, in this world cup, betting based on higher odds had a great time (Saudi, Morocco, Japan, Korea), the same I had in the cricket world cup. I was able to win 7+ odds going with a underdog. Morocco has been playing good since their first match, they were pretty good so far. It will be hard to beat France but who knows, maybe they will make the final this time.

Good luck to you SeeBiscuit.
1640  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If there were someone's Assets in FTX before FTX collapse? on: December 13, 2022, 11:50:39 AM
I don't have a lot of funds in any exchange. I frequently used Binance in the last bull run, have used ftx for lower withdrawal fee only lol. I can't exactly remember if I had any fund there. Even if I do, I'm sure it will be less than $10 lol.
But few of my familiar guys from my facebook group had some good amount of funds. I have alerted them not to store fund on any exchanges but who care. They never heard my word.
