1061  Other / Meta / Re: Images are not shown after buying copper membership on: May 17, 2023, 01:00:25 PM
Because the images were uploaded in imgur. That's not anymore working because of some changes from imgur part.
You can upload the images on talkimg.com and use here. Talkimg is dedicatedly built for bitcointalk community (not official image hosting from bitcointalk, thanks to joker_jossu).
1062  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: May 16, 2023, 07:22:52 PM
WTF! I never thought anyone would think of being such dishonest here. I usually check participants randomly even if it's not a pay day just to make sure everyone is active or not. Have never experienced this until now.

Received the payment from duelbit now wearing signature of BetterCaulRaul
That freaked me out for a second, as a 'caul' is an anatomical term and it made me wonder what the hell that campaign is all about.  Lol.
That's a kind of instant exchange.

Quote
How did this scunt wind up wearing two signatures long enough to get paid by both campaigns?  Maybe I'm missing something very obvious, but I've always understood that if you're in a campaign and change your signature even briefly, it's noted by the campaign manager....somehow.  I never understood the somehow, but is that not the case?  And if it were as easy as switching sigs and trying to fool managers, we'd be seeing way more of these shenanigans.
When you are managing a lot of campaigns, it's not possible to check everyone every day to make sure no one is removing signatures. Shan85 took advantage of that. Managers usually check on the weekend and when one manager paid the weekly payment, Shan85 changed into another. It was supposed to be noticed earlier but it took 4 weeks almost.
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Minimize your transaction fee with Electrum wallet on: May 16, 2023, 06:47:59 PM

For inputs, you can reduce the input number by consolidate your small inputs when network is not at high demand from users. Then you can make consolidation with very cheap fee rate.
For reducing transaction size, you have other ways too but it doesn't apply all the time. Consolidating the inputs when the fee is low is a very great solution but in case, if you miss doing so, you can try spending different UTXO in case you want to send a small amount. For example, right now, in my signature campaign address, I have 4 unspent outputs(0.0015, 0.004, 0.005, 0.005). I tried to send 0.001 BTC in normal mode without selecting any coins(inputs) and the fee with 1 sat/byte was a total of 400 sats. It's because it was either taking all the unspent output as input or most of them while with my first UTXO, I could send 0.001 BTC. In that case, there would be only 1 input. I tried and it was asking for a fee of 200 sats in total.

To do so, you have to enable "Show coins". With enabling that, you can see all the UTXO you have in the menu. So, when you will want to send funds, you can check which of your UTXOs can fill the amount and thus, you can avoid using more inputs. This will help you reduce the transaction size and thus, save some fees.

You can only use this option in Desktop wallet, not in android app.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 16, 2023, 05:37:17 PM
The percentage is not much higher in more developed countries.
According to Triple A list, here's the top 5 countries most crypto ownership (by individual holder).

USA (46 million)
India (27 million)
Pakistan (26 million)
Nigeria (22 million)
Vietnam (20 million)

I don't know how much accurate this data is, not having China in the top 5 list is a surprise. I know China has banned cryptocurrency but it's also true that they have a lot of crypto users. Anyway, having 4 million from Bangladesh seems a great figure regardless. I believe this is going to be twice in the upcoming bull market. That's what attracts noobs investors lol.

But I don't know what crypto they are using. The problem is, it's probably not bitcoin. Because right now it's fluctuation pretty hard to for some people it's not really safe to hold their savings in BTC.
Maybe they are holding altcoins, maybe bitcoin but that doesn't matter. Trust me, I can guarantee that most of the investors from Bangladesh has been introduced with cryptocurrency because of memecoins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. I know a lot of people who was able to be rich by investing in Shiba Inu. But at the end of the day, they are cryptocurrency user/holder or whatever you tell them. Someday, they will turn into Bitcoiner maybe.
1065  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange Withdrawal Fee manipulation on: May 16, 2023, 04:45:15 PM
I'm just wondering why only withdrawal fees for bitcoin are too high, not only on binance but on almost all exchanges? It seems, for whatever reason, like they don't want customers to withdraw bitcoins and want to keep them on their wallets for as long as possible.
Most exchanges charge far higher fees than the actual network fee. I can't remember if I have seen few exchanges which only charge the network fee. If I can remember correctly, Coinbase don't charge a lot of fees in their wallet service.
FTX was offering almost free withdrawal (limted withdrawal, 1 per day if I can remember) but they couldn't survive. Right now, OKX charges 0.00027 BTC per withdrawal which is fair enough (considering what other exchange charges) though the network fee isn't that high right now.
1066  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I exchange USDC to BTC with very little fees and fast? on: May 16, 2023, 04:28:02 PM
It's probably not bad if you first research the offers and possibilities on https://www.bestchange.com/
If I remember correctly, over 250 different exchangers in their monitoring almost all types of currency conversion.
There are a lot of options but the problem with the exchange listed there is their KYC terms. You never know when your fund will be frozen and ask you submit KYC. Here's pnnv offering better service. PNNV is also using changelly (possibly) and it's also listed on bestchange. But if they ask for KYC, it will be handled by pnnv itself as they mentioned. So, we aren't required to go through KYC. Afaik, PNNV owner (agentF) has KYC submitted with changelly. That's the advantage with pnnv.
1067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 15, 2023, 04:51:21 PM
I remember reading a few news related to Bangladesh & Cryptocurrency. This might be somewhere around 2014 or 2015 when holding crypto was illegal. I have no clue whether this law is still active.
Back in 2014, when Bitcoin Foundation Bangladesh was founded and Sazeeb was named the President, with some other members, people discussed Bitcoin a lot. Back then, Bangladesh Bank declared using crypto as illegal, and still, they are in the same boat though they are not taking any steps either against cryptocurrency users. There was some update in 2017 and recently but that did change anything from the first statement.

Quote
The governments in the Indian subcontinent do not have any clue about crypto.
Same here in Bangladesh too. Govt and media are promoting Bitcoin as an illegal currency, the currency of the dark web, gambling, etc. But don't have any idea what Bitcoin is in reality.

Could the nations local currency (Bangladeshi Taka) which is weak against the top international currencies like dollar, pounds and Euro be the reason for the increase. With cryptocurrency most especially bitcoin it is easier to transact with cross boarder countries.
I would say yes, that's one of the reasons of course because people are more concerned about the inflation happening these days. Everything is getting expensive each day and I doubt govt can control it. That's why people are looking for alternatives. As investing in Gold isn't that easy because of investment size, storing etc, people are more interested in cryptocurrency investment.

While India has been into crypto and declared 30% flat tax on it many individuals have stopped using crypto yet the number of people using it remains significant.
I hope the tax rate decreases which will further boost the use of crypto in India.
That was a stupid decision, to be honest. I don't see why govt is discouraging cryptocurrency investment and encouraging illegal cryptocurrency investment to avoid taxes. I'm sure many people are secretly doing this.

1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTCUSA.com is live!! 🔥 plz rate it from 1-10 🙏 on: May 15, 2023, 03:15:36 PM
The news page isn't looking so great. When I click on an article, it becomes hard for me to concentrate on the content as there are so many things around. I think you should keep the content page a bit more clear so people can read without being disturbed. I really couldn't concentrate on an article.
so rather than checking 5-10 websites, you can just visit one  Grin
I see. You are not the first to offer so. Decrypt.co has already that feature where they share numerous news from different sources like Coindesk, Cointelegraph, etc. They have this section under news explorer. I found them interesting.

P.S: since I am selling it over flippa.com the new owner can modify every aspect to his/her needs
Have you already sold it? If not, can you please DM me your asking price so we can talk? I have one client from my local and he is in the domain business for a long time.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 15, 2023, 02:50:43 PM
That was my surprise when I last time read this. This was a few months back when I read in one of the local newspapers where they mentioned around 4 million Bangladeshi people use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I didn't believe in that stats but today once again I found the same stats on another website namely Triple A, I have no idea about them. According to them, 2.4% of people are holding cryptocurrency in Bangladesh which I think is impressive. No matter whether most of them have invested just because they are greedy. Still, it's a piece of great news in my opinion. Bangladesh is one the countries where using Bitcoin is declared illegal by the government. But this number/stats say something we are going to get in the very near future. There was a discussion regarding cryptocurrency between some employees from Bangladesh Bank. They were hinting Bangladesh may legalize Crypto within 2/3 years. Maybe finally, it's happening.

@Little Mouse

1073  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I exchange USDC to BTC with very little fees and fast? on: May 14, 2023, 03:59:49 AM
I had the same issue yesterday and I used PNNV.com instant swap. I was able to save more than 0.0005 BTC if I'm not bad at math. Binance started to charge 0.001 BTC from 0.0002 BTC for each withdrawal when fee increased but now that fee has been decreased a lot from last week, they haven't yet changed the withdraw fee.
Try this- https://pnnv.com/exchange
1074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I accumulate bitcoin as a newbie? on: May 13, 2023, 06:05:12 PM
What's the best wallet you're using?
Hardware wallet must be your first go unless you have a problem with spending little money. Otherwise, you can use Bitcoin Core or Electrum. Electrum is a cool wallet for newbies. I'm using Hardware wallet for long time saving purpose while Electrum for daily transactions.

Where do I buy bitcoin with easy exchange without scams?
Are you willing to use a CEX or DEX? For decentralized exchanges, try bisq.network (No need to trust anyone). While on the other hand, for centralized exchanges, try Binance or Kucoin.

1075  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: বাংলাদেশ (Bengali) on: May 13, 2023, 05:55:15 PM

https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1657360970811863043?t=gcapnbkCr9XPhkd6hxypzQ&s=19

1077  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 13, 2023, 05:37:49 AM
Weekly budget: $1k
Target posts: 500 posts ($2 per post).
I can open 25 slots where each participant must reach min. 20 posts weekly;
or I can open 50 slots for min. 10 weekly posts per participant.
You won't only have min 10 weekly posts per participant, there will be a max quota too. With min 10 posts, you will get 50*10=500*2= $1000 spent. What about the max quota? If the max quota is 15 posts per week, you need more $500. I don't think anyone would be interested to join for max 10 post per week. You would barely get more than a few members with max 10 post per week and thus again, a very shortage of campaign participants at the end.
1078  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 13, 2023, 04:08:57 AM
I've never understood the rationale behind post quotas, maybe someone can explain the thinking behind them? (After digesting the rest of this post, obviously.)

I don't know why all campaigns don't just follow the pay-per-post model: instead of asking for 25 posts per week for $50 (let's say) why not just offer $2 per post with a 25 post cap?

The only real problem I can see is that people might not post enough (for the company's needs), but because a lack of posting corresponds directly to money saved, why not respond to that situation (if and when it becomes a problem) by opening more slots?
I can't talk for other campaign managers but I always try to run pay per post campaign. However, it's not only your (I mean the campaign manager's) decision. The team plays a great role here. Because they want more reach, they would try to get the maximum exposure with the budget. Pay per post is great for getting quality posts to be honest but it sometimes doesn't bring the maximum post per week like you said above. But the campaign wants the maximum every week.

If you want to open more slots, you need an increment in the budget too. You just can't expect that everyone won't reach the post quota so with the previous budget, you can cover all of them. You have to increase the budget on paper. The team will see the budget every week in the invoice.

Regardless, I encourage all the projects to run pay-per-post but it's not on me all the time. The same applies to all the other campaign managers too, maybe.
1079  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: May 13, 2023, 03:58:20 AM
I had the chance to use pnnv exchange today because of the significant increase in the Binance withdrawal fee recently. Since, in Flush.com signature campaign (Not promoting lol) I had a budget of $30  for processing the transaction including the exchange, I couldn't afford a withdrawal fee of 0.001 BTC from Binance. So, I started looking for an alternative and suddenly, I got remembered about pnnv and tried their service. If I used Binance, I would get 0.0303 BTC after all the fees associated while with pnnv, I got 0.0308 BTC. That's a profit of 0.0005 BTC for me (Flush actually) and pnnv saved me from the hassle I had to go through. Thank you for this service. I will keep recommending everyone to use the service. Even if Binance decreases the withdrawal fees, I will probably keep using your site too.
It was a great experience. The transaction was very fast, as promised within 10 minutes, and with a fee of top priority as per mempool (I checked the tx fee + mempool fee). That's nice of you agentF and pnnv. Have a good day.
