Im really hoping that the new light weight wallet comes soon. The current one takes ages to start up and for some reason consumes a really high amount of cpu power.
1622  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] SafeDice.com - 1% House Edge | Optional Variable Edge | Investment on: November 12, 2014, 02:05:43 PM
how about you add faucet for a few days so we can test the site Smiley
Faucet is important so that we can try the site out.

The site allows 0 bets so faucet is not really required. You can try the bets with 0 amount if you just want to see how betting works.

P.S I like the design of the site. Looks fresh and clean. I would add a small box around "Roll Low" similar to the betting areas. Would make it easier to find as its a rather important feature so highlighting it would be a nice touch.

Funny how only new accounts seem to spend pandacoin on services in Romania. Either everyone else is in the dark or something doesn't add up.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Predict when Dogecoin and Litecoin die on: November 05, 2014, 08:19:07 AM
More like BTC, LTC and Doge will die around the same time.  BTC is only 500K-2M users.  The internet back in 1989 had 3 million users.  6 years in this internet age and barely anyone is using digital currencies yet despite all the hype and government attention.

Nobody is focusing on userbase expansion for BTC so it's a matter of time until some coin better at promotion and userbase expansion will simply fly past Bitcoin and people will be struggling to comprehend what just happened.

This pretty much.

1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Eve Online Corp ~Many Game Servers ~ Disruptive Game Currency ~MMO on: October 22, 2014, 08:50:22 AM
Hi again... besides TF2 I'll be trying EVE online also, my question is: do we have to blow stuff up... or can we get Hyper by "mining" asteroids etc.
Thanks.

You can mine if you like but as mentioned the game is very PvP oriented and a PvP situation could be forced upon you by other players outside the corporation.

This is a pretty cool idea - rewarding players who also help the ISK coffers of the HYPER Crypto Corporation grow through mining in-game. We'll also need money to dominate the Universe as well as a HYPER army right? Sounds like it might be a dangerous task though - more dangerous than it seems!

I will be responding to all PM's and answering previous questions in this thread later today. Thank you everyone for your support and game on Wink

I am all for it. The only issue is that our corporation may have wars declared against it, relaxed half afk mining in EvE would result in loss of your mining ship. If we can get the corporaiton built up then we would have the ability to provide security for those mining.

The CS:GO server had a lot more players when running "workshop" maps. These maps can be buggy and cause errors resulting in illegitimate game currency gains. I can easily repair those damages as I have done in the past, but it also results in the statistics being skewed which can effect the monthly competition. I can not easily remove stat points gained due to bugs. Does anyone have any solutions for this problem?

As is we just run the default CS:GO maps. That is fine, but one of the biggest selling points of CS:GO is the ease of which one can mod and create content for the game. Some of the most popular user created content are the workshop maps. We need to run them.

Any ideas or suggestions on handling this? Thanks all

The lack of players on CS:GO has nothing to do with "no workshop" maps. The server is unplayable, it's extremely laggy and keeps warping.
The ping used to be around 70 for me before the addition of the bots, now it is sub 200. Everyone i have seen on the server tells me it is the same for them.

You live in Estonia. It's because you're so far away, not any changes on the server. Since the changes in the number of bots I've only seen a minimal(~1-3) ping change.

Distance is an issue for sure, but this seems to be the same issue for must EU users. I know my internet is not the best, its only 25mb downlink and 12mb uplink but it should be enough to play CS:GO on US servers.

I used to play on the server and my ping was around 70 but after the bots were added (i do not know if its the bots that cause it but its the timeframe where it started) the ping went to 200 and i started getting immense warps.

P.S I play on other US servers where i get 50-70 ping and can play with no issues.

1635  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: October 16, 2014, 09:33:46 AM
Okay, I'm going to address some of your conspiracy theories:

1) the IP addresses

I don't know why DMF appears to have posted messages to several other dice sites with the same IP address as me.  I can think of a number of ways this might have taken place, but they are all speculation on my part.  Yes I do occasionally run a TOR exit node, yes I have in the past ran other types of proxy servers off of my computers.  I've installed hundreds of coin clients and daemons, some of which may have been infected with who knows what, on my machines, as well as remote desktop software and remote access software mostly for monitoring and pool switching for my mining rigs.  I don't even know how hard it would be to spoof an IP address (if that's even possible).

You all are demanding that I explain how and why this happened when the fact of the matter is that I didn't even know it had happened until it was brought up here.  Your guess is as good as mine.

2) Deposits and withdrawals from dice ninja

In retrospect this was probably very foolish behavior on my part, but yes I used ninja like a web wallet.  I did this because, unlike other sites, I hardly ever had to wait for a withdrawal and when I did it was only for a few minutes.  I had many accounts on ninja, the same as on other sites that I've played on.  I wouldn't be surprised if half of the coins on that site at one point or another belonged to me.

Whenever I wanted to withdraw from somewhere I had been playing, I would open a browser to ninja (which would make a new account, because I usually logged out when I was done there,) deposit some coins and then use the chat commands to send them to my main account.

3) Primedice

In total, I lost around 425 coins on primedice.  Looking at it right now, I see 5 of my accounts in the leaderboards there, the biggest being: blarghblah, DeanNolan, and AKCoinMiner.  I am 100-200 coins positive on a number of these.

Here are a few withdrawals I made from primedice that ended up in ninja's cold wallet:

4) Bit-loot and huntercoin project

Yes, I studied computer science when I was younger and I know how to program.  I wrote bit-loot a few years ago in PHP and it was a complete disaster, I lost a shitload of LTC because I didn't really know what I was doing.

Yes, I worked on a huntercoin client similar to mithrilman's that I never got working 100%.

5) My dice career

I will be the first to admit that when it comes to gambling I have a problem, which waxes and wanes in severity over time.  This is something very personal to me, and something of which I am not proud.  It all started, as I'm sure it did for many of you as well, on satoshidice.

The last time I battled this demon was on doge-dice when, after winning around 80M dogecoins one day, I began a downward spiral that resulted in my losing a lot of money under other nicknames on both doge-dice and just-dice.  More recently, it was fueled by winning big on JPCDice, and got completely out of control after winning a large number of coins on first dicebitco.in and then dice.ninja.  The end result is that I gambled away all of my winnings and a lot of my own coins that I had intended for other purposes.

6) What happened at dice.ninja:

I DON'T KNOW

I gambled on that site, won in total around 120 coins, and was in their sig campaign, that's it.  I kept a reckless number of coins there over the last few weeks, most of which I withdrew to primedice (and lost) the day before the site disappeared.

I don't know what else you want me to say.  You've got the wrong guy.

I've always been nice to my fellow degens in the gambling community.  I've shared my winnings and kept my losses to myself.  I've spent hours consoling anguished players who lost big.  I've loaned coins and forgiven debts.  I've personally hunted and publicly unmasked scam site operators from my personal account, which is attached to my real name, when everyone who helped in the detective work was too afraid to do it themselves.

And all it took was some circumstantial evidence in a few chat logs, most of which is on a site that I've never even fucking played on to get you to all point your pitchforks at me?  Fuck you guys.

There seems to be a lot of speculation going on about you and your connection to the mentioned sites. All kinds of accusations and info popping up but some seem to jump to the conclusion way too fast.
From the time ive seen you around you have been a really cool guy. Providing a real show, helping others and most importantly AK has always been easy to talk to and as others have say'd "a really down to earth guy".

Innocent until proven otherwise.

The HYPER blockchain is starting to get very, very big.

Time for a simple, sexy HYPER web wallet, and perhaps a HYPER version of Electrum (a light Bitcoin wallet client that doesn't require the user to download the whole blockchain).

PM me or email hyperfuture(at)hypercrypto.com to talk bounties Wink

This would make it so much better! We really need a light fast version Cheesy
1637  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice.me 1%, 530฿+ INVESTED. JUST A BETTER PLACE TO DICE! on: October 15, 2014, 11:18:21 AM
From what i know the max profit is 1% of the bankroll by default. BUT!
The site also has a x Kelly option. Im assuming you know what it means and how it changes the max profit.

Investors who invest a large enough sum can request a custom x Kelly from the admin from what i have heard. (P.S When you click on the investment you see the x Kelly there)
Im pretty sure quite a few investors are trying the x Kelly Smiley

I had no idea you could change that. Thank you.

That means the average investor "kelly number" is 4.7 %! Either some investors are really stupid or the number is wrong. We have no way of knowing.

Well im sure admin will tell the % of some investors, as long as they allow it. But i think some of them have kelly x10 but no other way of asking (you can do it by emailing the admin)

As for the "stupid part" it is not more stupid than investing in general. Higher risk higher reward, it is exactly the same as investing more on 1% bankroll with the only difference that you do not need to deposit as many coins Smiley. Making it safer to a degree.
1638  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice.me 1%, 530฿+ INVESTED. JUST A BETTER PLACE TO DICE! on: October 15, 2014, 10:56:08 AM
I invested a little to check this site out, and I while it seems well designed and also work alright, there is a question about the bankroll.

The site doesn't say explicitly what exact amount it is, but you can get it from the max profit - which is 37.618012 at this moment. This implies a bankroll of 3761 BTC.
Calculating backwards from my own investment percentage gives me roughly the same answer.

The problem is that the proof of reserves you have here only contain the money from outside investors 808.84321993. (95% of it)

I'd like too see proof that you actually possess the missing 2900 BTC.

If you don't actually own that money, your investors take a lot higher risk than they realize.

I have no idea if this is the case (i doubt it tho) but IF it is.

Then someone needs to make a TV show/ TV series about it. This is too good of a story to pass!
