1621  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Does anyone in here knows about MMM? on: July 20, 2015, 03:44:36 PM
it is true.

Just think about it, they take money from one person, and then give it to someone else. how can that last forever? It can't, they will run out of money, they have to.

is this one actually run by Mavrodi? Look him up Google him, and figure it out.

This is a pyramid scheme. These always fail because they have to. Whatever they are promising to pay will eventually run out and many people will be stuck holding the bag.

Just think about it.
1622  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: C-Cex can no longer be trusted on: July 20, 2015, 03:18:49 PM
never even thought of going there, a tip for you, don't "invest" in anything when a "buy wall" is part of the reason for doing that.

It just doesn't make sense. Why would the person/group creating the wall pay more for whatever it is than they need to?
1623  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: C-Cex can no longer be trusted on: July 20, 2015, 02:37:31 PM
i couldn't even finish the first sentence of the announcement thread because of all the techno babble. Care to explain what happened in English?

Did they offer to sell a coin at a certain price and promise to buy them back at a higher price a very short time later for no logical reason? Did you people really fall for that again?
1624  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy deposit problems in 2015 on: July 20, 2015, 01:41:39 PM
How on earth could this happen more than once to the same person? Why would you make another deposit, different coin or not when you still had an issue going on that wasn't resolved to your satisfaction?
1625  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Does anyone in here knows about MMM? on: July 20, 2015, 01:36:03 PM
Of course they are paying, they are paying out the money they are collecting, they are doing nothing to earn that money but holding their hand out, what happens when they run out of idiots to put more money in?
I've heard that if they run out of idiots, they will restart from scratch.
No offence.

So they restart, leaving a bunch of idiots without the money they were promised, and then find a new batch of idiots to start again? how does that help the first set of idiots that didn't get their money back?

You know it's failed and started over again several times and still think it's a good idea? Just light your money on fire, at least it will look cool for a second.

MMM has been around for years in different forms, targetting different countries. "Elevrus" is a clone.
They are unsubstainable pyramid schemes which end in tears for the vast majority of users.

MMM produces nothing but illusions. Ask yourself, where does 20-100% per month increase come from?
Answer: from people like you, all wanting free money.

I did the maths in a thread on here which is now locked because it was flooded with spam from newbies posting to earn their Mavrodi Magic Money.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1026379.0

MMM specialize in heavy self promotion as a 'peoples alternative to the corrupt banking system'. They are nothing of the sort, just a scam preying on gullible, greedy people. There's a lot of them about. Are you one?
I don't think it's a scam.
Their system works just like shares.

I want to invest, but I had to wait until someone want to sell their Mavro purchase. Sad

It's either a scam where the people running it will steal your money, or a legitimate system that can't work because eventually it will run out of people and/or money to put in.

they take your money, give it to someone that got in before you, then you wait for somebody else to come in and pay out. This CAN'T work. The amount of money you need to do this grows exponentially.
You have a point.
I know how their system works because a member from the community guide me with all information I needed to know. Smiley

If that's true and you still think it's a good idea, you're money is going to disappear anyway, so it might as well go here. Your money is going to go into that member's pocket, where is the money that is going to you coming from? This type of thing is just not sustainable. It won't take very long for it to require obscene amounts of money to continue. How many of these need to fail before people start paying attention and stop joining the "new" version.
1628  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: July 19, 2015, 11:20:40 PM
Garza and all the other PnD scammers sure have done a number on the industry. I wonder how long it will take for them to realize they are destroying Crypto...

They have done noticeable damage, but are not "destroying Crypto", IMO.
If Bitcoins were still worth (for example) around 3 cents each, then would so many scammers and thieves regularly try to steal some?
The "Gang of Thieves" surrounding our community also helps to validate the desirability of obtaining BTC.

If it cost less than 3 cents per coin worth of effort to steal them, yes they would.

this is about that time when someone with a brain would question how much money a great trader made with all the volatility this week and then he would show up and throw some peanuts to the crowd to appease you guys, wonder why that's not happening?
1631  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: about BTCJAM on: July 19, 2015, 01:10:08 PM
You need to look at what you are investing in, most of the stuff there seems insane to me.

The borrowers take the money and buy miners, or invest in some other scam. You take on all the risk of those miners and the scams (because they won't pay you back when those schemes fail) PLUS the risk that they just rip you off if they make money out of the schemes, for less of the possible reward because they loans are designed for them to still make a profit if the scheme goes according to plan.
1632  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptostocks.com gone now or whats the matter? on: July 18, 2015, 10:05:44 PM
Don't take things so personally. I use the royal you.

I don't know or care who he actually is, I just know that I know he "lost" a lot of coins in some other venture, so that there is no reason for anyone to continue doing business with him.

He is either too stupid or not trustworthy enough to hold coins or anything for anyone else, if I was invested I n something and they couldnt move their shares elsewhere I would have sold and got out what I could before i was left with nothing because it was obvious that this 2ould happen 3ventually.

Search for kumala and vircurex [or something] for more details, but don't expect any sort of resolution.
1633  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptostocks.com gone now or whats the matter? on: July 18, 2015, 05:22:42 PM
Not sure why anyone had anything to do with that site after the exchange run by the same bozo "lost" a zillion coins.

Everyone needs to stop being so gullible, there are people trying to take your money, it's a lot harder to get it back in bitcoin, so stop giving it to people who have already failed once or twenty times.

You raise a valid point indeed. Plenty of platforms claim to offer huge services and fail to delivery. Luckily for me, I had nothing of value stored there, but I can imagine some people probably had.

No one had anything of value there. All the numbers on that website were worthless when his exchange "lost" all those coins. People may have thought otherwise, and they may have allowed some people to cash out those worthless numbers, but if you still were expecting to get coins out of there this long after I'd have to say you were sorely mistaken and you should be questioning how you didn't see that coming.

Still, might be some bot traders having coins there or other people that waited for fill their order for shares. When the site remains down and kumala isnt paying out the coins then he most probably will get prosecuted. Bitcoiners arent so forgiving anymore nowadays.

Those coins have been gone since his exchange got "hacked." You are a fool if you trusted him after that, he didn't get prosecuted for that, he won't get prosecuted for this, and even if he does the coins are gone and unlikely to be returned.

At least the CEO of the other GAW is "running" a company that actually does something.

They do a terrible job of it, and don't come close to providing everything that they are supposed to,  but at least some people are connected to the internet.

that's what bothers me about Jonah and all the other "geniuses" at work on GAW mining. GAW mining did nothing but collect money for most of it's existence. How could you have worked there and not realized the fraud?
1637  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: July 16, 2015, 11:36:02 AM
did we hear back from Jonah? what happened to him?

is he still active on talk.paycoin?

It's now https://paycointalk.org/ and yes it looks like good ol' Hashtalk.

No, I don't think he's active there and I haven't seen him anywhere recently. Hopefully he's just taking some time off and not in any kind of trouble.

Why would you hope on of the ceo's of this company that did nothing but rip people off isn't in trouble?

he doesn't get a pass for sticking around this forum after the shit went down. Anyone who had any sort of title in that company should be treated like a piece of crap until they come clean and spill everything, I don't care what title they/gaw gave themelf back then or which "not-gaw" "organization" that does nothing they are working with today.
1638  Economy / Gambling / Re: freebit.co.in multiplay system on: July 16, 2015, 12:16:30 AM
What strategy do i suggest?

I suggest playing a game where your strategy can make a difference. Dice games are luck, the only way to beat them is to be lucky, and that will be very hard to do because the math makes it so that it's a LOT easier for the casino to be lucky.

The only strategy to win at dice is to not play. Play poker, blackjack, or sportsbetting where you can make a +ev bet/decision every once in a while. If there was a strategy to beat the dice sites they would be broke already.

It's possible he just lost all the money gambling. I was tracking his picks on his other thread using the method that other people who sell picks in the real world use, I tried to explain it to him but he couldn't get it, so I doubt he was betting that way.

From my conversations with him he had no clue about sports betting. the method I used was not complicated, and he was betting on heavy favorites in a way that no one with a clue would do, sort of like just rolling on a dice site at 80% chance to win or better and just hoping for the best.

He had no clue about money management, you shouldn't bet the same amount of money on a bet that pays out 1.16x your bet as a bet that pays out 2.02x your bet because one will win a LOT more often than the other.

If he had varied his betting to bet larger amounts on the bets he was more likely to win he would have been up, but he could have lost big if he wasn't.

tip for the people that lost money here, don't give people money to bet on sports on a site that has a limit of 1 btc per bet, because if he was really good at betting he wouldn't need your money to bet that small an amount.
1640  Economy / Gambling / Re: freebit.co.in multiplay system on: July 15, 2015, 12:05:46 PM
Sorry to hear OP lose on Freebitco.in,
it is a good faucet site,
but their is house egde is 2.5%, whihc is way too high.

And better to keep away from those x 2 betting,
go find some with x 1.X

i would assume that the larger portion of people who use/play at freebitco.in are rather new to bitcoin, and as their site is usually the first one on google searches on "free bitcoin," i would also assume that the majority of these people have no idea of house edge, provably fair, etc. which allows for the site to get away with something ridiculous as a 5% house edge on their dice game.
Yep,all true. I think i"ll try one more time martingale system with 0.5 btc. My bet amount will be 13 sathosi so I can be ready for 22 "level deep scenario". I"ll use a dice site with 1% house edge and ofcourse pravably fair system. Wich one should I choose? Sathosi dice maybe?

You already hit the "impossible" 21 loss streak and now you're going to go back at it to try and hit 22? Why, to win 13 satoshi at a time?

Don't come crying when you hit your 22 game losing streak, because we all told you it was going to happen.
