1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin owner die. It means bitcoin also lost forever? on: December 28, 2017, 04:24:46 AM
I just got this question in my mind. What will happen if no one knows about the pasword of his/her acount will it posibly deduct to the main supply of bitcoin? Example bitcoin was 21million supply and one man got 1 million bitcoin he was holding and suddenly he died no one can open his wallet is it posible that the remaining 20 million bitcoin forever?

If no one knows his/her account and password, the bitcoins will stay remain forever in his/her wallet. That's why you need to make a notepad or a file about your wallet and the password, so when something bad happen to you, your family will know your bitcoins and they can open the wallet and take it.
1622  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is there such a lack of good signature campaigns these days? on: December 28, 2017, 02:30:51 AM
How do you term a signature campaign being good? is it because they pay in Bitcoins or ETH direct ? There are a lot of signature campaign in the bounty section that if you do proper checks, you can land yourself in one that will pay you in tokens which can later turn into an altcoins that will be better than those paying in Bitcoins or ETH.

Sorry for the question, but what if however those altcoins turn out to be completely useless? Will that mean you just wasted your efforts or do they usually always start with a price point?

It's your risk when you joined an altcoins campaign/bounty. We never know is the project or ICO will success or not, if it success you will get the altcoins in the end of the ICO and you can exchange it into ETH/BTC on exchanges but if the ICO failed, all your efforts is become useless and wasted.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [IPL] InsurePal | Distributed social proof insurance on: December 27, 2017, 03:01:55 PM
Many of my friends talking about Insurepal - they are from insurance business  (non-crypto)

they are asking (they are not on bitcointalk), either they don't know what telegram is Smiley

is it wise to invest now?  or wait january 2018?

Are you talking about invest on insurepal ? If yes, yes you should invest on insurepal. Actually you can wait until january 2018, because the crowdsale begins on 16 January 2018, if you want invest big, make sure to get the bonus 10% by contribute over 50 ETH and in the first 96 hours.
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to promote an ICO on: December 27, 2017, 12:06:14 PM
In your opinion which is the best way to promote an ICO at initial level to create buzz?  Do you think Ann threads are enough for that and how much is the role of bounty campaigns in that?

Bounty campaign is the popular way to promote an ICO but i'm not sure is it really effective or not for the project and their ICO especially the signature campaign. Social media like twitter and facebook is also good to promote an ICO, the dev/manager can hire a big followers social media account to promote their ico.
1625  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I'm going to buy some bitcoins on: December 27, 2017, 08:04:42 AM
I'll buy some coins, My idea Prices may increase in 2018...Want to know your opinion, I do not think there will be a loss..My previous purchase was something Their prices are much lower now

I don't know on 2018 but if you buy bitcoins right now, you can get a free coin from the next hardfork later. So if you want it, buy bitcoins right now but if you want to play safe, it's better to wait until the next hardfork done because i'm sure the price will changed. I don't know is it will go down or go up.
1626  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Are Faucets Useful Now? on: December 27, 2017, 04:19:28 AM
With the bitcoin value sky rocketing, have faucets become useful and worth the time spent now?
And not only bitcoin faucets but altcoin faucets too, I think with such high value of every coin in terms of dollars, faucets can no longer be considered as a wastage of time.
What do you think?
Fyi the rates on faucets also decrease following the price of bitcoin, like freebitco.in. When the price of bitcoin going up, the rates on freebitco.in faucet decrease. In my opinion faucets is really wasting time, it's better to use your time to do another else like do some task like retweeting/tweet on service section.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges to support Segwithx2 airdrop? on: December 27, 2017, 03:22:24 AM
Hi guys,
I seem to cannot find a definative answer which exchanges are good to go with segwitx2 on the 28th Dec?
What do I need to do to get the equivalent of additional coins and when can I expect something (if anything...).
Currently my (small) money are on Bittirex.
Any ideas?

First thing you need to do is find every exchanges out there that support hardfork on the 28th dec. In my local exchange vip.bitcoin is support the hardfork on 28dec, i don't know about others but i think you can check it by visiting their twitter account or their website or contact their support.
1628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: December 26, 2017, 12:43:59 PM
The price obviously, because the price of bitcoin can easily going up and going down. I'm afraid can suddenly dropped so hard in 1 night and when i wake up the value of my bitcoins become dropped to below 50%. Also a bad news about bitcoin, like a news from China that ban ICOs and some exchanges on China. It makes the bitcoin price fall.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a wallet for tokens? on: December 26, 2017, 06:41:06 AM
what would be a good wallet service to hold tokens?

Myetherwallet should be good imo, it's the best choice for hold and stored your altcoins. Most of altcoins and project choose a wallet that support ERC-20 tokens and Myetherwallet support the ERC-20 tokens. Remember to not stored or hold your coins on exchanges, especially for
 long time.
1630  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why is this happening to exchanges? Please do help! on: December 26, 2017, 04:26:55 AM
Just don't use bittrex, there are so many problems on bittrex. They locked so many accounts and my funds also stuck on my account, they reduced the minimum withdrawal for basic account into 0 btc. I already send my information for verification but they don't even reply to my tickets, it's been 2 weeks!
1631  Economy / Gambling / Re: A Q for Bitcoin casino reps. Are your profits affected by high transaction fees? on: December 25, 2017, 11:50:56 AM
Clearly the answer is yes. High fees do affect a Bitcoin casino's profitability badly, but I am interested in what kind of solutions are you planning to fix it?

Is it enabling Segwit or shifting your business to accept altcoins like Bitcoin Cash?

On nitrogensports, they make a new rules about withdrawal. They provide free withdrawal without fee once in 2 weeks. Actually it's once a week but after that a new rules coming because of the huge fee on bitcoin fees.

Absolutely yes especially for small gamblers like me, I need to spend too much money for the transaction fees on both deposit and withdrawal. Lets say I want to play with 0.002btc only, it will force me to spend double or even triple amount because of the fees. So in order to make profit, then I should win more than 3x of my initial deposit to recover the fees. Otherwise I will get no profit at all, while it was fine to win 2x because the fee was not so high like recent days.

I know what you feel man, i also a small gambler and even the fees is more bigger than my deposit. The best choice is to stop deposit with small amount and wait until the fees decrease.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: questions about network fees on: December 25, 2017, 04:38:37 AM
So I tried to send a small amount of bitcoin from coinbase to a wallet address on my Binance account so I could buy alt coins.

But then they tried to hit me with an outrageous "network fee". For trying to send like $5 worth of bitcoin they wanted to charge me $32! That can't be right. How do I send my bitcoins to another wallet without network fees. I have a GDAX account also if that helps.

You CAN send your bitcoins to another wallet without network fees but it will takes a very long time to confirmed or your transaction will stuck forever. That's why it's better to not send a transaction without a fee. The fee is big because of the network is really busy right now and so many unconfirmed transaction too.
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [IPL] InsurePal | Distributed social proof insurance on: December 25, 2017, 02:43:46 AM

Hi Dev
I'm going to participate in the ICO in January but I would like to join the signing campaign because I think it's a great project, and I want to advertise

I see some users already with the signature and avatar but I can not see bounty campaign.
can you help me?
Thank you

You can check the signature and avatar campaign insurepal on sevice section because the payout is in bitcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2595433.0 but i think it's already full right now. Just wait until the next payout, the manager yahoo usually open a few spots if anyone leave.
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 24, 2017, 11:33:53 AM
Yesterday, Chelsea again misfired in the match against Everton. Team Antonio Conte lost this season too many points. Probably at the end of the season will be the replacement of the coach.

Nah dude, replacing Antonio Conte is not the answer for Chelsea. 1 bad season for Chelsea and you want a new coach, nope it's not the answer. It's just not the best season for Chelsea this year and as you can see Manchester city is so good in this year. I think Conte will more focus on Champions League for now and top 4 for Premier League.
1635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Low transaction fees on: December 24, 2017, 10:04:50 AM
The fees are way too high nowadays. A $33 fee just to send $5 in BTC is ridiculous. I hope they find a solution for this in the future, else there will be no bright future bor BTC long term.

It's better to avoid micro transaction using bitcoin right now because the fee is so damn big, so many unconfirmed transaction nowdays. Just use another altcoins to do micro transaction, it will takes a low fee. Based on https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/, you need at least 960sats/byte to get fast confirmed.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in ICOs on: December 24, 2017, 06:34:46 AM
How do you find and invest in ICOs that you see bright future in?
Any websites except announcements board on bitcoin forum?

I always check their announcement thread, the team behind the project, how fast and how can they answer the question from the investor. Actually there are many websites about ICOs and they rate the ICOs too. Don't forget to join the telegram group to ask or know the new update about the project.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting suggestions on: December 22, 2017, 04:50:47 PM
Hey , i love footballs so much , maybe Americans call it soccer , and i'd love to play betting on football game , can anyone suggest me , where the best sports betting place , and why ?. Thanks a lot

In my opinion nitrogensports.eu is the best bitcoin sportsbook right now, they have many sports on it included soccer, so many freebets and promotions, also fast withdrawal. The only i hate about nitrogensports is their limit is really low right now, don't know why nitro reduced the limit so low.
1638  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC Transfer / Withdraw Issue - Any ideas? on: December 22, 2017, 04:11:09 PM
Hi All,

I tried to transfer bitcoin from Cryptopia to Binance, but the transaction is still unconfirmed after about a day. It seems like the fees were set at a proper amount, so not sure why there is the delay. Any ideas/potential solutions?

Currency: BTC
Amount: 0.01970689
Fee: 0.00100000
TransactionID: 384620934631a8beacf18fafe689a293162f0d2d2ea565ef72fa716776f60d06
Address: 1MEvfAzvM5jo8q4q4BpR99xUXUaWJG1SA8

Also, this is my first post on BitcoinTalk and second week in the cryptoasset universe. Look forward to participating in the community.

Thanks!

Based on https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/, the fee on that transaction is quite low but i think it will get confirmed in the next 1-3 days or you can try accelerate your transaction using antpool accelerator https://www.antpool.com/user/prioritiseTransaction.htm?m=savePrioritiseTx.

Fyi, there are almost 300k unconfirmed transaction today. So your only choice wait.
1639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question from Newbie on: December 22, 2017, 12:05:26 PM
Hello, everyone!
I need some piece of advice from the experienced people.
I dared to start trading , I have enough funds to purchase BTC or ETH, but I don't know, where to create wallets and how to manage them (I mean safety issues)?
Can anyone share their experience about that?

For trading site i recommend bitfinex, kraken and livecoin. Don't use bittrex for now, there are many issues and they also lock so many accounts. To creat wallets you can try the simple one, blockchain.info for bitcoin and myetherwallet for your altcoins. Both are the best wallet and the safety is also good.
1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does cryptocurrency success? on: December 22, 2017, 09:52:25 AM
Hi Folks,
Today there are more than 1000+ cryptocurrencies in the market.
I was wondering why some of them success and some failure.

what do you think?

How does cryptocurrency success?

It's depend on the project itself, shit project will provide shit token and the price of the token also become trash but good project with a good future will have a good price on their token. There are many crypto currencies and not all of them is success, some failed and become a trash token/coin.
