Charlie is founder of the Bitcoin Foundation (Vice-Chairman 2012 to 2014), and worked on the standardization, protection and promotion of Bitcoin. He co-founded the now-defunct startup company BitInstant, and is a founding member of the Bitcoin Foundation, formerly serving as vice chairman. In 2017, he joined Jaxx as its director of business and community development.
Charlie continues to participate in industry panels and providing context for various news outlets who are beginning to report on digital currency.
He is fascinated by all things Bitcoin and enjoys meeting like-minded people.

There is one question that I would like to clarify: If a manager makes a security deposit of $1000 and issues his manager coins that sells investors for $1000 (in an equivalent), then what is the benefit to him at all? Why should he trade for investors' profits, if he can trade himself for his $1000 value? So, the manager will release his coins and sell them for a large amount, for example, for $10000. Then why should he trade, if he can just take this amount himself?
A manager can't just decide what the value of his coins will be, coins have to be worth something in order to be sold. He puts in $1000 as a sort of security deposit and you're right, coins are issued for this amount, but the value of his coins will depend on his performance. If the performance is low, these coins can't be worth $10 000. Managers trade for commission, they get management fee and fee from profits, that's the point. The better you perform, the higher commissions you get. If I am a manager, I give my $1000, I get a profit (on my own money) and give all my profits to investors, and get a small percentage for my work. Why do I need investors, if I have this $1000 and all the profits I can take myself? Here everything is not clear, I do not see why I should be a manager. The only answer is that the manager attracts a lot more money from investors for his $1000, which means that he sells his coins for a sum that exceeds his $1000 You need investors, because there is a clear difference in what you can earn having just $1000 or $10 000 or even $100 000. Go to any bank and check interest rates for $1000 or for $10 000 and see the difference. Or else, following your logic, why would we have trust funds or mutual funds at all? It you have just $1000 and you only manage your own money, then you retain all the profits by yourself, but if you also have investors, you divide profits proportionally, giving a chuck of money to yourself, you don't give it all away. A manager does not attract investors because he has $1000, he attracts investors because of his abilities to make higher profits for each $1000 invested. The better he is at that, the higher his coin is worth, you're right here. |

afaik paypal dont have support for cryptocurrencies. they discussed this sometimes ago and denied it, due to the high volatility of bitcoin and all the other cryptos.
Indeed, there were plans with Bitcoin but then there was a huge dump and scared Paypal away. This is a good thing  , now UTRUST can take there place in the upcoming years. Less fees! Finally!  I think Paypal will also eventually offer payment with bitcoin, if not before, after they notice how successful Utrust will be. But for now this is a good news for us and its time for Utrust to get a head start on the market. |

If more companies are interested in the coins value will rise. Just HODL your coins.
At first, many projects will buy from facebook but if they know that they can also buy from DATUM they will buy where date is cheaper.
I'm sure DATUM will have more data then Facebook at least I think so . Probably I'm wrong. Really curious how this platform will look and how many companies will buy from DATUM. I'm very excited about this project. Keep this up team! The biggest company to sell them is Google. They have all your data with all your activities, even traveling. Datum will be the solution to your privacy and keep it to yourself or sell it. It's great that we can decrease the power of google with this project. In my opinion google got to much power in the last years because everybody uses it every day. Each and every product which you are using for free have something of yours. I agree, they are not stupid and know how to take advantage of your browsing history. Plus they usually earn from forcing adds on your screen. |

Yes its very nice that soma already collect near 5 million $. A lot of people really want to be a part of the project, Soma will continue to raise money I think, the community behind the project is huge and th me project show realy good argument to sucess, it’s important for investors.
Haven't even know that they are already at around 5,000,000$. Better for everyone if they reach enough to build this platform and really shows the interest in this project. they need more marketing in my opinion. more coverage and banners on specialist websites. yes, much more from everything. ico bench rating and so on, more blogs, more videos, more sexy girls ... but raising 5m dollar so far isnt bad either >< Since they raised that much amount of money, than can afford a good marketing manager to kick start their marketing campaign. They should really take advantage of this momentum and get some more partners before the official version. |

I just checked the android app now. It was beyond my expectations compared to other early-access beta apps. I saw too many icos beta app and by far gizer's app is the best one. It looks, it is ready to go. Really a great work.
I downloaded it also. For a beta version it looks decent, for now it mostly offers ClashRoyal tournaments but you have to start somewhere. There is also a bounty going on on the application where you can get free GZR coins. What bounty for gzr coins? I only saw some boosts as prizes. But didn't see any info about gzr coins. As soon as I read the post I tried to find out about such bounty on the application that offers gzr coin but I can't find it too. Did I miss something? They have exact date of ICO? Im waiting this ICO  They haven't yet, they will announce it soon, let's hope it is after the fork that will take place, we don't want to lose some of the cash that is in BTC, let the dumpers get BTC so they will return to us again XD, though I don't think they will get much profit from BTCgold. Ok, Im also hope, ICO will be after hardfork. Price for BTC and ETH very expansive now. I want not buy so expansive ETH now  I hope for normal price for ETH in November (like 250$-300$) I'm also holding and freezing everything I have Just waiting until mid november when the market is 'stable' again with the normal price. Now its just crazy! Just sitting this one out But after the China announcement, ICOs where not doing great because crypto prices went down. Now they are going up so it would be logical to expect that ICOs will get their momentum back. Thats why i think people will be more comfortable to invest now. |

Yes, it is looking like that way. If my calculations right they already funded more than 5 million USD. No one wants to miss this unique project. Wow crazy amount of money collected just to build a platform! How did you calculate that Levyashin? this is insane for a plattform! ive seen real estate projects here on bitcointalk which collected only 10M Information from the SOMA website: Total tokens distributed 6427034 SCT 1 ETH = 450 SCT Means have already collected ~ 14282 ETH For today, this corresponds to ~ $ 4941675 I am honestly surprised they managed to collect so much money so far. The idea is good but for me it lacks that wow factor, but with that amount of money raised, im sure they will add some more interesting features in the final version. |

Back read some of the comment and learned that some of you are comparing Utrust to Paypal stop the comparison and focus on the platform it self, we are talking about crypto here and we are looking for merchant to accept it, it would be nice if the dev team could make a proposal to some online merchant and see what they think about it.
dont feel so bad about that the two being compared dude, it is just natural. Because the two of them are quite identical when it comes to business terms. It is all natural and cannot be avoided in cases such as this. That's right, and besides, Utrust themselves draws a comparison between them and paypal (and bitpay, btw). There's a nice comparison chart in their whitepaper Its always good to present a comparison with a successful company just to get an idea how far can a project go. I also dont see the harm of Utrust comparing itself to Paypal since they will provide similar services just with different currencies. |

Since you will do a rewards program. Why dont you contact a website like airdropalert and let them airdrop a bunch of coins to get a wide distribution of coins? I am sure people in this

Rewards and airdrops will be just for merchants tokens, but for that, they need a working platform and actual tokens. Technically, you will be able to trade merchant tokens for Gatcoin so in the end you will be able to collect it indirectly trough airdrops. |

just tried playkey with hitman demo, my kid was next to me ...he asked me for a subscription after 1 minute he can play all of the game in my old pc great work Devs this is really best project i seen around Awesome to hear! People in Europe/USA might underestimate how many people in the world have access to internet and a computer, but dont have the necessary hardware to play the good games. And since computers are getting more expensive and on the other side internet speed is getting higher and cheaper (optics), for me there will be a clear winner in this battle. PlayKey really opened new dimensions in computer gaming. |

Datum has been having people sign up for weeks now to get free 100 Datum. Are they collecting email data on us? I wonder how many people have signed up, and how Datum will use that to their benefit. you are right, but how many people use their personal data when sign up for something like this? i joined this with an e-mail ready for spam, when they will sell my data, i will know from the spam received. Its exactly what you should do when applying to promotions like that. If someone didnt know before that by giving away your email you give them a lot of valuable data, Datum showed they that this is exactly what they were doing. Lesson learned for next time. |

Its bullish run for bitcoin again and eth is eating the dust, pushing the ICO in november is a little risky since a lot of holidays are going to happen on that month and some investors might not able to participate.
Yes, bitcoin seems unstoppable right now. And it should go even stronger after the fork of November. Looks like alts are starting to go up now after everyone bough enough BTC for the fork. Thats good news for ICOs since ETH is gaining value right now and people can focus on investing in ICOs again. |

When thdere is underselling post ico could be also due to the token allocated to the advisors or other people who helped out the project and get paid in tokens
I dont think advisor would dump the coin after ICO since they are a part of the team. They probably wouldnt join in if they didnt believe in the success of the project. I am sure its mostly bounty hunters that are responsible for after ICO dumps. |

I would say TenX is a good competitor, but I cant really tell you about the advantages With TenX card you can pay with multiple Crypto currencies on 1 card. However Utrust is more secure for your crypto payments. Can you explain me how the security system of Utrust is better than TenX? Its not that I dont believe you, its just I want to understand for my future investments.. Utrust will work as a trusted mediator who provides protection to buyers/sellers, meanwhile tenx wont care if your transaction doesnt go smoothly or fraud happens Ok, they can still add feature for more security and im sure they will eventually to compete, but i still believe Utrust has more diverse payment system and it will be more attractive to users. Time will tell which platform will make the right turns and be more successful. |
